Default Scale going up! :(

So I have been hovering for as long as I can remember betweek 138 and 140. I seemed to start off in a plateau that calorie counting and gym 3-4 times a week wasn't breaking. So frustrating. Well, I went away for 10 days to the bahamas and ate quite a bit but was still at 140.4 when I got home.

Now, after a week of being home, the scale keeps creeping UP! 3 days ago I weighted myself and I was 141.6 and now this morning I was 142.5! I'm not getting close to that time of the month but I can't think of any other reason it would be going in the wrong direction

Sometimes weight gain doesn't immediately appear. Just keep doing the "right" thing and it'll start moving in the right direction...maybe not as fast as you'd like it to, but it will eventually!

Depending on your metabolism and speed of nutrient absorbtion, it may take something like a week for calories consumed to show up as fat deposits or on the scale.

My advice for getting back on the weight-loss path, though, is to up your number of workouts per week. If you've been in the same groove with your workouts for a long time, it might be beneficial to either up the intensity of them, or to do them more frequently. Especially if you're at the point where your workout routine feels easier than it used to.
