*For reference:

Canada Day (July 1) is on a Sunday this year, with a statutory holiday on Monday, July 2.

US Independence Day (July 4) is on a Wednesday.

Good job everyone on the challenge so far! Another bad week for me at work, but at least I wasn't totally out of control with my eating, so I barely stayed at the same weight as last week, but this won't work for this challenge. Have to get in more exercise to lose more weight, and I know it will help aleviate my stress too.

So I just got back from 5 days in Las Vegas and I'm up 9 pounds!!! I think at least half of that is water weight though. I'm so bloated I can't get my rings off! I definitely overate and indulged (I went there knowing I would) but walked hours and hours and hours. So I'm hoping the damage isn't actually as bad as it looks!

Congratulations eguestx0, you're doing great!

For me, this week was a success in terms of sticking to my meal plan (bringing my lunch to work, eating lots of fruits and veggies, planning meals ahead of time), but weighing in this morning, I am up 1 pound. I hope this is just due to my "time of the month", where I feel bloated. So moving on to this week, with better weather coming in, I plan on starting walking 4-5k every other day.

The past two weeks have really sucked for me (sigh). Have not been eating right at all, been skipping meals because of work and when I did eat, I was overeating. Add to that TOM and the fact that my boyfriend who is also working on losing weight is now at my weight, I have been sort of a wreck emotionnally, no resolve, a downward spiral so to speak.

But two weeks of going down the wrong path is not irreversible, and I can take comfort in the fact that though last week I weighed in at 254 (TOM really does a number on me), I'm back down to 249 this week. So moving on...

Hello new people! Welcome to the challenge! Martine - sorry things have not been going that well for you, dietwise. Men tend to lose weight more easily than women. Don't get discouraged.

I've moved cities for the summer, and I'm finally settled in enough to be active here again. TOM and eating foods that are higher in sodium than what I normally eat resulted in some water retention, but now I'm back down to normal.

Keep on keeping on, chicks! Only a couple weeks left!

Well, we're at the last week of the challenge. How has everyone done?

I had a net gain of 0.2 lbs., but considering everything I've had going on IRL, I'm pretty pleased just to have maintained.

Congratulations to everyone who stuck with the challenge, even if you didn't meet the goal you set for yourself!

Well it wasn't a success for me, I didn't know how to deal with three crazy overloaded weeks at work and I never bounced back in time for the end of the challenge and ended up gaining instead of losing. All part of life, but I started fresh (again), taking it one day and one pound at a time.
