I came across this forum while searching for info about the SBD and just wanted to say that I am so happy to know that there are others out there to share support, encouragement and stories with!
I started yet another diet about a month ago, lost a few pounds, and quickly realized that I would need some structure and a program to follow if I were going to stay motivated to attain my goal weight, so I went searching for something and found Dr. Agatston's book. I read it and immediately knew that it was something I could follow. It's a very simple program, easy to understand.
I started Phase 1 last Monday and have lost 8 pounds in one week.
It's amazingly easy to stay on program so far, I'm sort of suprised because my binge foods are bread, crackers, pasta, beer, etc . I thought I would be craving carbs like crazy, but so far, I am sticking to the program easily and have had no cravings at all.
I'm so happy to have found a common sense approach to eating, it's almost ambarrassing that I didn't just KNOW that I should eat this way to lose weight.
