Good Morning to everyone & HAPPY APRIL :coffee:

Well I missed my daily check in yesterday... BUSY, BUSY, BUSY but FUN day. Got to go out and visit with family left a 7AM and didn't get home until after 9 last night. Down .5 yesterday and Down .5 this morning! So that put me into the 230's yesterday after fighting with 240 all week!!!! :woohoo: So excited to see that, but best of all I feel so great, I have so much energy I can't believe it! I really think boosting up my calories just a bit is what helped get over the hump. I have been so much more active then before between the gym and my son I just don't think my body was to happy with how little I was eating.

Sending positive energy and good vibes to everyone!!!

Good Morning, Everyone!

Are you excited about a new month? February and March I stayed within my maintenance weight range. I am very happy about that. Now, I would like to work on getting my weight back down a few pounds. There's nothing wrong where I am at now, except my clothes are a little tighter than I would like them to be. I also feel more comfortable at a lower weight. We'll see how it goes.

The scale is up this morning, thanks to the grits, maple syrup, and French toast last night. I enjoyed it and haven't done that in a while. Today I am back on plan, though.

Calories for yesterday: 1940 + :coffee2:
Weigh In: 148.2
Up: 1.2 pounds

ETA: Here's a link to a *new workout*. This was posted at another forum that I frequent. Enjoy! :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtYRj6OBAw4

Hi everyone. I said I was going to join you all in March, that plan was a total fail. But here I am now! I've VERY excited for a new month. Last month was not that successful for me, at least as regards my current goals, so I intend to make April much better.

I have a trip to NYC with some friends in May and I'm trying to be as strict as possible until then to get as close to the 180s as I can. After my trip I'll probably relax a little, but I'd like to get back down to my previous low weight (150) so I can wear my clothes again! Buying new 'fat' clothes is a drag, as I'm sure everyone here can relate.

Anyway, I'm down 1.2 today to an even 197. Pretty excited about that.

Diana, your breakfast-for-dinner sounds totally worth it.

Jinxy and Julie, you both had amazing Marches! Congratulations :)

I hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Ended March with a .4 loss

Today's weigh in 184.6 ... My middle son decided he wanted what he calls a Thanksgiving dinner. So for dinner is a ton of starch, yams, macaroni and cheese, chicken with stuffing, gravy, green beans and yeast rolls. I won't eat a lot and I hope there are no leftovers :crossed:

Jinxy's I need a vibe that will keep my mouth closed (no eating) When is your test? I hope the weight stays away also  good job on the 1.9 down on Friday, way to go :high: Good job on your 11lbs GONE so far, keep up the great work :high:

Amanda were you anxious about something on Friday night? What time did you finally doze off?

Diana good job on the .2 down yesterday :) Thanks Diana regarding Chelle. She's actually in your area Fort Jackson, SC. She is supposed to be going back to the reception area tomorrow and she thinks that means she will come home. However they sent quite a few of the 30 people home on Friday (I don't know if I already said that, didn't go back to re-read) I am so trying to stay positive for her but I honestly feel like at this point if they send her to the reception area where she started they will have her go through the cycle again but she doesn't think so. We shall see :) Diana that wasn't a rant. I pray that your Mom will take heed and listen to you. But you know she knows you are paying attention and if she needs to know anything she has you to lean on  But you may have to spend a few nights with her to show her who's boss ;) Diana dinner last evening sounds really good  Sorry about the up today

Mags sorry about the up yesterday  nice recovery today :high: good job on the 1.2 down :high:

Heather glad your month ended well :)

LOL Angie greedy is good, way to go on that 2.4 whoosh :high: LOL I think I look like that standing up also. I didn't look too bad when I dressed for church. I think it's after I eat that the belly just grows and grows, by days end it looks really bad :(. I had my son take that picture, he said Mommy is this good, I looked at it and said yeah it's about as good as it's gonna get  Well it's good that you are close and not just co-workers. I hope Cam likes riding his bike also. I have to teach Rissa how to ride her bike this summer. Remember she's too tall for training wheels and the thought of riding without them scares her so this will take some work :)

Justaloozer, good job on the 4lbs GONE for the month :high: Good job on the 1.6 down :high:

Happy Holy Week everybody!!

No WI today so I'm going with 156.0 as stating weight for April.Won't have time to WI tomorrow either.

Hay Diana  sorry to read about your Mother  you're a wonderful daughter :) Thank you :) I noticed a long time ago that I don't lose until the end of the month and I've noticed that I've been losing 2 or 3 lbs a month now for some time so I'm done worrying about the scale moving and just concentrate on building a more healthy eating lifestyle.Well..that's my intention anyway :D

Hay Rennie, great job on the loss this month :yay: so much better than a gain :carrot: your dinner sounds great.Thank you :) I was taking to Mother about having the loose skin under my arms cut off,we talked about wearing quarter length sleeves,etc..I said,"see how it looks when i wave at somebody",She said,"who are you going to wave at? You don't have any business waving at anybody" she's a trip :D

Hay Angie,Great job on the 2.4 :cp: stay with it. You're doing great. To continue to post and try to watch what you eat can only lead to great things :),Salley(that's a great idea by the way!!),akelly,Kukkie,Kris,Mags, justaloozer,Jinxy And Any Returning daily Weighers I missed

Hi Heidi

Thanks Ona ... about dinner, I don't know what happened I didn't like anything the mac n cheese needed more cheese (will get tomorrow), my son made the stuffing and I just didn't like it (everyone else did), the yams were too sweet, the only thing I liked were the green beans :). Huh maybe that's a good thing. :) ... You know Mother's say the craziest things some times ... that sounds like something my Mom would say, LOL ;)

Maybe Rennie, you thought you wanted that food, tried to eat it but since you've been working on change your eating style/making better choices and have been doing great for years..subconsciously that kind of food just doesn't taste good any more. You've programed your brain and (your taste buds) It connected with The green beans, the healthy food. The Yams, once again, your brain doesn't like(is not use to) that kind of sweetness any more.Something to think about.;)

Ona you know I thought that as I was typing it but why can't I turn off the sweets/junk food like the doughnuts? I haven't had any since Tuesday though I have definitely thought about them. :D The boys have even asked to go to the 7-11 but I just kept on driving :D. We got a pack of glazed doughnut holes from Walmart yesterday, I ate two because they were together but they weren't good. :D I do hope that I do better this month :)

 Morning all! I hope everyone has a great Monday.

I've had a long journey and have been trying to figure things out... this month I am giving it a 30 day go at no wheat. Has anyone ever done this? I'm not talking "low carb" per se but giving up all wheat products.

I gave up wheat at the end of January. It's really helped my cravings, my hunger levels, and my weight loss. It's not easy, but it's definitely been worth it for me. I read a book called Wheat Belly which had a lot of interesting stuff to say about modern wheat, if you haven't seen it yet.

Regardless, I'll be interested to hear your experiences! I didn't find it that difficult, but I've been 'low carb' for some time so I'd given up a lot of common wheat products already.

This morning I'm down .8 to 196.2. I guess my body's making up for three weeks of barely losing anything. Whatever the reason, I'm certainly not complaining!

Happy Monday, everybody!

I'm starting the month at 148.8. Not much of a loss during March (less than 4 pounds) but I'm happy that I didn't gain, given the all-you-can-eat buffet that my office is during tax season. March is a crazy month for me (331 hours worked!) and I'm glad it's over.

Ona, I've been dismayed at the amount of loose skin on my arms so I loved your mom's comment. I don't have anyone to wave at either!

Hey everyone

Joining the party late this month. My fasting is done, and I unintentionally had a free for all with food this weekend. By unintentional I mean that I didn't plan to do just because I was done fasting, but it was one event after another, and I didn't really think twice about it. Oy vay. Not good, as a result I am up to 192.9 this morning, and I actually don't feel so great with all the junk that I ate - pizza, pastas, fried foods, ick, ugh, yuck  I did however pack fantastic healthy foods for breakfast/lunch/snacks today so I am quite happy about returning to healthy eating. Hopefully I can shed the extra gain off rather quickly and feel good again.

I will have to do some reading to catch up with everyone, so I'll be back for personals :)

So I lost all of my weight so far counting calories. I have not been able to get out of the 130's for the last 4 months. I have decided to go ahead and change things up a bit this month. I'm no longer going to count calories. I'm going to cut out all whites (pasta, potatoes, rice, etc.) and then have a 'free' day on Sundays. I chose Sunday, because you should have seen me yesterday! I went crazy with cravings and broke into my children's easter basket candy. I was surprised to be down .5 today. Maybe my body needs a little more calories. I'm going to still work out 3 times a week on M,W,F.
Let's see what happens....

weighed in this morning .6 down to 184.0 ... kept my youngest home with a rash today, not sure what it's from. We noticed it before church and by last night it had gotten worse. This morning it wasn't as bad but I didn't want to send her to school like that, so we didn't. She doesn't have a fever and it isn't really itchy (except when we take about it). We'll see what the morning holds.

Diana hope you rested well  Wishing you a great week also :) Got a call from Chelle, she says that she should be home by Friday (again) she'll call me on Thursday evening. :)

Kris You've lost over 10 pounds so far, this year! :bravo: Great job!

Kifli Congrats on the .5.

Suzukigurl Good job on you and your friend hitting the gym! Sounds fun! :carrot:

Angie Hi

Rennie Great job on the .6. I didn't get enough sleep last night. Hoping to get to bed earlier tonight. Well, the good thing is that Chelle has had some time to think about her interests and what she's wanting to do. Everything happens for a reason. She may decide to go in a totally different direction and be very happy and successful in what she decides to do.

Thanks Diana ... I sure hope so  Rest well. :)

Amanda good job on the .5 down :)

Jinxy, you'll get it back  good job on the biking :)

Does anyone have any suggestions on an inexpensive deviled egg carrier?

Rennie, keeping my fingers crossed they send your daughter home for real this time. My dad's retired Air Force, so I know all too well how slooooowly the wheels of military bureaucracy turn. And it never makes any sense to us civilians!

I'm up .4 today to 196.6. It'll go back down tomorrow, or at least that's my usual pattern. Tomorrow's my 'official' weigh-in for the week, so I hope so!

Jinxy Congrats on the 11.2 pounds! :bravo:

Rennie I wish I could help with a suggestion with a deviled egg carrier. I have a deviled egg serving tray, that's it. Are you needing it for Easter? What are your plans for Easter?

thistoo Hi  I hope you have a great weigh in tomorrow!

Rennie: Well done on the .6lbs yesterday, I hope your daughter is feeling better

hey everybody! I was gone for that revival so I missed a few days on here but I'm back and don't have another trip planned till the end of the month--North Carolina to audition for XFactor this time LOL
Anyways, anybody who's been to a lot of church gatherings knows the food flows with abundance,:hun::stir::eating2::cbg: but I was super good and probably would've had a loss when I got home BUT.... my nephew sent me home with big Apple bagels and Strawberry cream cheese. I was SO tired yesterday and there were those bagels....so, today I was up .4 from before I left for the trip and i know it was those scrumptious carbs:T Tiredness is a huge problem for my will power, just can't say no with only one eye open:dizzy: My monthly cravings always kick in a few days before TOM starts too, so this next week is going to be tough... I will have to be tougher:sumo: I want to see onederland for my b-day!! I'll try to catch up on personals in the next few days--have a blessed day!

Hey all! Jumping in a couple days late to the thread. I was an active member on these threads awhile back, but I needed a fresh start without all the reminders of my ups and downs, so I got a new account. So, even though I only have a couple posts and no siggy yet, I'm not just a newbie...I remember quite a few of your faces! ;) Almost hitting the 260s again was a huge wakeup call this month, so I am back.

dun dun dun ... woke up to TTOM and a 2.4lb up 186.4. I can't win for losing.

Thanks Caroline  I have heard that so many times about the military bureaucracy. It's not even making sense to her now  We shall see. Isn't it odd how the weigh in day is usually up and the next day is down. My end of the month is typically like that also. I'll be up the and then on the first down, smh :)

Diana good job on the .4 down :). I have 3 of the egg holders but I don't have anything to cover them with that won't flatten them out. But you know what the lightbulb just went off. I can make everything and then put it in the egg whites when I arrive. Our typical Easter weekend consist of going to an Easter play up north, then afterwards the kids participate in an Easter egg hunt, play games and other fun stuff. This time we are also celebrating my Mother-in-law coming home from rehab and being able to use her legs a little. She had a stroke that left her unable to move her left side at all. But praise God she wanted to do things on her own bad enough without having to rely on any of her children and grandchildren to move on her own. We are so proud of her. :) And Sunday my husband and my oldest son are being baptized. So what a wonderful weekend it will be :) Do you have any plans?

Hi Kukkie, congrats again on the new job.

Mags, good job on the 1.2 down :high: Thanks I'm taking her to the doctor today, it's between her fingers now and all over her hands. :(

Kelly I absolutely love the regular white icing on cakes from Giant Food  I am not gonna say that I won't have a piece or two. :D I believe in you, you can do this  ONEderland here she comes :)

Good evening to all my 3FC friends :carrot:

Down .5 this morning!!!
Another great day with my Best Friend at the gym today, to bad she goes back to work tomorrow, I could so work out with her EVERY DAY! I decided today that I am going to add another class to my work out routine. On Thursday I am going to try Cardio Kickboxing (oh boy... LOL) but I really think that this is going to add a nice variety to my week. So my typical week will look like this Monday: 45min of cardio then weight training (arms and abs) Tuesday: Yoga Wednesday: 45 min Cardio then weight training legs and abs Thursday: Cardio Kickboxing Friday: Zumba As for the weekends they vary I don't always have a chance to get to the gym but I am always doing something active! I know as time goes on I am going to have to add more weights especially as I get closer to my over all weight goal but for now I think this is working just fine.

Sending positive energy and good vibes to everyone!!!

Running late tonight! Sleep well. See you tomorrow!

I see there were some losses today! Congratulations! Keep up the great work!

Rennie That's a great plan for the deviled eggs. I didn't even think about that. That's wonderful that your MIL is doing so well after her stroke. I really think attitude plays a big part with how well people recover and/or deal with illness. Also, wonderful news about your DH and DS being baptized. You have so much to celebrate this weekend. Our Easter will be quiet. There are no children in the family and it's just the 3 of us (my Mom, DH, and Me.). We will eat our dinner out. I was going to cook since my Mom isn't feeling great, but she didn't want me to do that. I'll do whatever makes her happy.

Just a few more days and then I get to post whether I exercise or not!

So, these last few days are really weird...here are my weights:

March 31 - 213.4 (-2.4)

01. 216.6 (+3.2)
02. 213.4 (-3.2)
03. 218.2 (+4.8)

I'm either overdue for a new battery in my scale or I'm having a reaction to something. One thing I thought of...on March 31st we had a high sodium dinner (turkey tornados, but I didn't eat the bacon wrapped around them) and then later in the evening I had 2 handfuls of raw unsalted pistachios. Next day I had a 3.2 gain. Then I was back down again....yesterday I had a high sodium lunch and in the evening I had one handful of pistachios.

So is it the sodium/pistachios, or one of them? These are pretty extreme changes for one day to the next, right? I may change the battery anyway, just to be safe.

My clothes are not fitting as well as they were a few months ago, but they still fit. Tonight I ran beside Cameron as he was learning to ride his bike and I didn't even get winded! I know I'm still healthier, so I'm going to try not to let these wild fluctuations bring me down.

This weekend I will have 2 easter dinners....I'm planning to get at least 1 hour of exercise per day to combat the extra calories. I'm also going to a NIKE outlet sale on Thursday and thinking about getting a Fuelband -- I had the nike+ thing for my shoes, but it conked out -- and my friend and I like to fuel each other by challenging each other and comparing exercise on the nike+ site.

Sorry, I'm rambling and today I'm all me, me, me. Don't feel you have to comment or respond; I'm just feeling a little introspective today! :write:

roxmysox, hang in there. No one can explain those weird fluctuations our bodies go through, but if you stick with it you can right them out and usually see a whoosh on the other side.

Same goes for you, Angie. A five pound fluctuation is possible, water weight-wise, but I wouldn't call it 'normal', necessarily. The more important question is: Is it normal for you? If the answer is no, then something's definitely up. Could be hormones aggravated by something else, could be that you're just one of those people who can't handle certain types of nuts. For me it's cashews (though I haven't tried pistachios recently, so maybe it's those too!)

What I would do is lay off the pistachios for a few days and see what happens. You can get the scale going in the right direction again!

Congratulations to everyone with a loss this morning! I'm down a pound this morning from 196.6 to 195.6. Pretty excited to see that '5' on the scale, let me tell ya! The further I get from 200 the happier I am. :D

Have a great day, everyone! :sunny:

Good morning, gals! It's nice to see so many people doing well, either posting losses or just sticking with the plan. I'm so glad I found this board and this group; the support is immensely helpful to me. A big thanks to everybody!

My scale said 147.6 this morning - quite a surprise! I haven't been overeating but I haven't been restricting my calories much either. I decided to give myself a bit of a pass for the next two weeks as we careen toward the end of tax season, so any loss is a bonus.

Have a great day, all!

And whoooshhhhhhhhhh - down 2.6 of that weekend gain to 190.3. I'm so very happy about that, because I thought I'd have to battle my way down those 3lbs again. Now it's about getting out of the dreaded 90s once and for all. I was so excited to see that 90something; I now hate it

Today is my second last day at this job. I have transition meetings and an exit interview. But I'm kind of on my last legs here and believe me when I say the end of tomorrow can't come soon enough. oh boy, I'm up 2.2 today, kind of sucks but I know why, no bm this morning, oh and I ate like food was going out of style yesterday, my bad!:frypan: like I said yesterday, when I'm tired I have no self-control, but I feel awake this morning so that's good. I need to go grocery shopping again and stick to only proteins and veggies for a few day to get these cravings out of my system. DH and I will be going for our walk today also, hopefully outside. The sun is shining but I'm not sure if it's warm enough for the baby, we'll see.

Woot! Another .4lbs gone! I've been on track for the last few days, eating within my calories and working out a minimum of 30 min each day but I'm really worried about the upcoming weekend. I'll be in Vegas for the next 3 days and I know for a fact that a bunch of buffets and boozy drinks are in my foreseeable future. Two of my personal kryptonites.

My plan for vegas is:
- working out each morning
- putting less on my plates
- eating slowly and drinking more water
- drinking lower calorie drinks (i.e. Diet coke and rum)

Is there anything I'm missing? Words of advice would be much appreciated!

Good afternoon, everyone!

Down 0.8 to 257.2 this morning. I think my plan for today is to drink as much water as I can...that was always my savior in the past! (I used to drink between 80-120oz a day.) Also, sometime this week, I'm going to start logging my calories on the Daily Plate again. Those two things combined worked like a charm last spring when I was losing weight the first time around. I wish I'd never stopped! Going to be hard to get back into the habit, but it will be totally worth it.

Ok today's weigh in wasn't a surprise, 187.2 not good Ladies and Larry :). I am not happy about this since it is close to 190. I had a lot on my plate this morning before work and didn't have time to make lunch. I did have my smoothie for breakfast so I did have good intentions they just didn't stick. I was so hungry when I came home I ate a little of everything. The worse being two beef hot dogs with Texas Pete chili on white buns. I kept Rissa home today also. Her hands were all bumpy. I used the cream that was prescribed but it didn't do much alone. I was told to get Zyrtec but didn't have the money for it. We were blessed today to be able to get it for her after Bible study so I pray that it works with the cream to help clear her up.

roxmysox maybe try increasing your calories. I remember Diana suggesting that I eat around 1600 calories and sure enough it starting things to moving again. I just need to be obedient to myself and do what I need to do to keep the scale moving in the right direction. :)

Hey Amanda

justaloozer good job on the 1.8 down yesterday :) :crossed: for the new decade by Saturday :) good job on the .4 down today :). I may know when my gains were coming and where/what they were coming from if I was recording my food like I should be. When I count and pay attention I try to keep my sodium low also, it definitely helps. Then why don't I and aren't I doing it  idk :)

kwigg good job on the 1.2lbs down :)

Julie good job on the .5 down yesterday :) busy workout schedule ... just like Ona ... whew ... workout Queens :) Good job on the pound down today :)

Thanks Diana, yeah my SIL is coming home from Turkey (she teaches there) and she's throwing the gathering. I'm sure my MIL will be pleased, especially since she will get to see all of her grandchildren. They (hospital/rehabilitation) wouldn't allow anyone upstairs younger than 14 years old so she hasn't seen the ones that she normally sees daily in Washington for some time now. This will be a real treat, I just hope we don't tire her out. My husband is from a family of 5 so there are a ton of grands and great-grands. It's interesting to try to fit all of them some where, LOL. I'm an only child like you. This will be a great weekend for all. I'm hoping my Mom will come. ... Good job on the .4 down :) Rest well  Oh Diana Chelle is supposed to call me tomorrow to let me know she is coming home on Friday :crossed:

Angie some times it's got to be me, me, me. If you don't then would will, us, us, us :D. Well the good thing is you/we know that it's not 3+ pounds for fat so sodium we can get rid of ... you always have a plan, JUST DO IT, Ms. Nike  Nice NSV not getting winded while running beside Cameron, :woohoo:

Caroline good job on the pound down :), cashews (honey roasted) do me in also :D

Steph so that's a 1.4lb loss? way to go without trying :)

Mags good job on the .6 down :) and Congrats on reaching your first mini goal :high:

Kukkie great whoosh way to go :high:

Kelly I had another up this morning. My goodness I don't want to see 190 but at this rate it looks like I may. I didn't take lunch today so I came home and ate everything I saw before we went to church :nono:. I have got to find at least a little :dust: somewhere or I am gonna explode, I know it's not funny but if I can't laugh I may just cry if I see the 190's again. :)

Julz good job on the 3.4lbs gone :)

Good Morning, Everyone!

I probably shouldn't say this. Things always seem to end up biting me in the proverbial a$$. I am finally starting to feel normal from the soy reactions. I changed my bread/English muffins over a month ago. It seems like it takes forever for that to clear out of my system. This past weekend my weight went up from eating higher calories and more carbs/sugar than normal. But it is dropping back down now. That's the way it would work last Summer/Fall. My weight would drop, I would have a splurge day/weekend, it would bounce back up and then slowly go back down. Wash, rinse, and repeat. It worked well for me. Then came the Winter and something changed. I noticed the bread/English muffin company was using soy flour in their products. I don't know if that was the difference in how my body was reacting or not. :dunno: Now that I have mentioned this, I guess I need to get ready for the proverbial bite in the a$$! OUCH! Something is going to change and backfire on me. ;) For those who have been around for a while know that I am a continuous science experiment. :dizzy:

Good morning, all. Just a quick note to say - my BMI is in the normal range! I had sort of forgotten that was my next goal and then my weigh in this morning was 146.8 and I thought, wait a sec...OMG!

Diana, I like your attitude about the ups and downs. I'm hoping that's how it will work for me, with an occasional splurge day and then back to the plan. I'm glad to hear your soy reaction is finally subsiding.

qt, I totally hear ya on eating more when you're tired. I think it's partly psychological but also partly physiological - our bodies need something, and food is readily available even when we don't have time to rest. Most of my co-workers are average weight/normal eaters - but almost everyone gains weight during tax season because we all eat way more than normal.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Interesting Diana!
Larry you are almost in Onederland!
Nice Steph!

I lost 1.4lbs! I was sure I was going to gain because I ate more cals than usual. Probably about 2000. But I listened to my body and ate when I was hungry and stopped when I was satisfied. I also did a really good workout and remained pretty active yesterday. Todays weigh in 291.4. Hopefully I will see that change in decade soon!

Morning all!

I'm up a bit this morning: 196.2 That's okay, though; my usual pattern is to go up the day after a fast day, for what are probably obvious reasons. Also I'm rehydrated so that makes a difference too.

I'm off work until Monday, but my diet will be fine. Today I'll run some errands, and then I have a big sewing project to get started on. I should probably clean up around here some too.

Renni, I understand living in fear of being over a certain number. When I got back up to the 190s you'd think it would have stopped me from gaining more, right? Alas, I just shoved the scale in a closet and kept on eating carbs. So I'm undoing a lot of damage now, and every time I see a bump up on the scale, however temporary, I get frustrated with myself all over again for where I could be. Learn from my mistake! Good luck today. :)

Diana, your science experiment is very interesting! I am sort of the same way; the second I slip and let grains back into my diet, I stall, and if I start on the wheat again, forget it. I gain like crazy. I'm glad things are getting back to normal for you!

ChouKoe, welcome! It's frustrating, I know, but if you stick with your plan you'll see the numbers move again. Hang in there!

Larry, glad to hear things are headed in the right direction again. Sometimes we really just need a break.

Steph, congratulations! That's a big accomplishment.

justaloozer, wtg on the 1.4 lbs! Awesome.

I was good yesterday, stayed right on plan, 1280 cal. at least 10 cups of water, and a 2 mile walk/jog with DH.... but TOM has come to ruin it all! So the scale stayed the same today and I'll have to get used to disappointing weigh ins for the next couple days:cry:, but then the whoosh and I'll get to dance again:lol:

Steph :woohoo: normal BMI! :woohoo:

Diana "science experiment"! You seriously crack me up!

Hi Everyone!

We ate at the cafeteria tonight. I have had issues with sodium/water weight from this place. We'll see if it causes any drama for my weigh in tomorrow. I have ordered their broiled chicken before. I noticed tonight that it has some broth/gravy that has a yellow tint to it. I think that's probably the fake butter/soy based buttery stuff that restaurants use. They also had boiled okra. I would normally order this, but it looked to have some "butter" in it. I know that's not real butter. It's that other stuff. So, I ordered the roast beef and veggies that didn't contain the butter stuff. My calories and food choices were good. We'll see what happens in the morning.

ChouKoe Hang in there and watch that sodium! A lot of people have issues with it.

Rennie How did it go with your food choices today? I hope it went well for you.

My week though is still pretty hectic I need to get an essay done before Sunday, preferably Saturday though and I need to get the rest of my Math homework done as well. Yesterday, I went and got my eyes checked (bought my glasses as well) and they numbed my eyes then dilated them . After all of that I had a migraine and I was so so so tired it was hard to see straight. So bad day for homework (now I'm behind) and also a bad day to exercise. Right now I should be doing my Math but I had to squeeze time in to update everyone here . I didn't want everyone to think I quit or to forget about me :D.

It's moving weekend . . . yay. It's going to be a long, exhausting weekend. I am picking up the moving truck in about 2 hours and today I'm on my own to move what I can by myself. I'm hoping to put a big dent in what needs to be done. I'm already exhausted so I'm hoping I am able to be productive enough today that it makes it worth the extra money I'm spending to have the truck an extra day. I figure it will be at least a week before I can put my feet up and rest for more than a few minutes. I know I probably won't get everything out of the old house this weekend so will have to deal with the remnants over the next week and then clean and turn in my keys next weekend. Hopefully Easter Sunday I can get a lot of unpacking and organizing done at the new house because after that I need to focus on finishing up the move and cleaning of the old house.

I am really stressed about how tired I am and how much still needs to be done here (like packing the basement) . . . but I am excited for my new kitchen and can't wait to set up the boys' bedroom. I found the coolest M&M guys for their beds. They are huge and the boys are gonna flip when they see them. For those that don't know, I call the boys my M&M boys because both their names start with the letter M. Even the little one (21 months old) will say "we're your MM boys."

I hope everyone has a great weekend and a wonderful Easter. Hopefully very soon I can re-join you guys on a more consistent basis.

Welcome, Sarah. TOM = time of month.

I was insanely exhausted yesterday so no exercise last night, but I weighed in under 147 again this morning. That was good to see because I start feeling like skipping a workout will mean gaining 10 pounds overnight, which is not good thinking.

It sounds like lots of people have busy weekends coming up. Good luck with moving/hosting dinner/whatever else people have going on! I'll be cranking out tax returns all weekend, fantasizing about finding a new job (happy last day, Kukkie!). On the bright side, one of the partners will be bringing in his fabulous Newfie, the most huggable dog I've ever met.

HI Everyone! Quick post:

We planned on closing early today, but everything got derailed. I was taking my monthly books to the CPA and noticed a lot of police at all of the intersections. Things got really backed up all over the tri-county area. When I got to the CPA's office I told her about the problem and asked her advice about how to get back quicker. She called someone that she knows that's high up in the police dept. Come to find out VP Biden was in town again. The last time he came to town, he made me late for my hair appointment. What should have taken an hour or less to do today ended up being over 3 hours! Biden has a house in Kiawah Island. I guess he and the family were going there for Easter. There is no reason for him to mess up this area that bad by coming into Charleston. He should land at one of the private airports on Kiawah or one of the other islands. That is so ridiculous! He wasted what little time I have! Off my soapbox!

Exhausted doesn't even come close . . . I got a lot done but not nearly enough. I am really starting to panic. I loaded a 26 foot U-haul by myself today and unloaded it part way by myself before help arrived. If I could pick it up or haul on my dolly then I loaded it. I have so much more to do to be ready for my mover help that is supposed to be here tomorrow (I have no idea what time they are coming). I am going to hit the shower and go to bed for a few hours ~ get up around 3:00 or 4:00 (I hope).

I haven't been wearing my GWF armband but I put it on today (after I had already been up and moving for about 6 hours). It says I burned 4400 calories and walked almost 16,000 steps. I wonder what I really did since I didn't wear it all day. I will wear it the whole day tomorrow, but hopefully I won't have to work quite so hard tomorrow with the moving help I'm supposed to have. I bet I end up having to get another rental truck next weekend to finish up since I've spent so much time taking care of things for my mom and haven't got all my stuff packed yet. Yuk . . . yuk . . . yuk.

Good night all . . . if I don't get a chance to check in again I hope everyone has a great Easter.

ok, down another pound today to I'm back to where I started before my trip and those evil bagels:devil::D Since TOM is still here, I'm hoping I'll still have another nice loss in the next few days.

Sarahfairhope :welcome3: TOM-time of month, and that usually means extra water weight that will fall off within a few days of being over:D

Mags :congrat: ur doing great!

justalozer you can lose that 2 lbs just as fast as you lost it:hug:, it might be because of eating your whole allotment later in the day. I noticed if I eat my higher sodium soup after 7pm I will have a salt gain, but if I eat it for lunch, with plenty of time to down the water, I'm fine. plus you have all that food still sitting in there waiting to be digested, that weighs a lot.

Diana I'm sorry you've had to deal with politicians interrupting you schedules! as if it's not bad enough that they're messing up our entire country! I hope the rest of your weekend goes smoother:hug:

Kris I wish I lived closer, I'd be helping you with all that moving, but I can pray for you:hug: It'll all be done soon and then you have to promise to take some time to relax:beach:

Onami I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!

Angie Happy Easter!

Jinxy Looking Good! :cheer2:

korij yay, 1 pound down!:yay:

kwigg nice drop!:cheer3:

steph I understand the fear about skipping a workout. The last time I lost a bunch of weight I never changed my eating habits, just worked out like a mad woman, so when I got hurt and the workouts stopped I really did gain it back. But if we watch what we consume then we don't have to worry, right;) This time around I'm cal. counting for weight loss and exercising to get fit so I don't have to freak out if I miss a day walking.:D Are you in maintenance now? if you are, what are your plans for it?

Good Morning  I may have dodged a bullet. Yesterday's sodium was double my goal and I was afraid that I would have a water weight gain this morning. My scale was steady same weight as yesterday 210 lbs:D:carrot::D

The sodium may well have made a difference because my daily loss stopped but I am thankful at least that it did not reverse. Whew what a relief!!:dizzy:

My help ("friends") never showed . . . so I lined up a second group of helpers (family) . . . they never showed . . . so I found a mover to hire (that I can't afford) . . . they finally got here at 6:00 pm and then said "we're just too tired to do it tonight." So they say they will be here at 8:00 am. There goes the special Easter breakfast I had planned for me and my daughter and the boys for our first morning in my new house. I am at the old house and they are elsewhere because there's really no place at either house to sleep. What a frustrating day and I'm afraid tomorrow won't be much better.

Lost .7 pounds today :carrot:. I'm hoping it'll keep on going. Easter is tomorrow not much going on there for us but going down to my Mom's to have hamburgers just us and her so there shouldn't be too much to worry about there. Plus I didn't by any of my favorite Easter candy this year. The dreaded Cadbury Bunny Eggs I love them each year I have to get some but this year I just walked on past them. Funny thing was I didn't even see them in the store my husband pointed them out but I shrugged and kept on going past them . I don't really want them anyway which is odd for me to say but I don't.

Hi Everyone!

I just finished dinner. It's late! That might not be good for the scale tomorrow. We are going out for lunch tomorrow. There will be a buffet. I hope I can avoid things that will cause me a reaction. Wish me luck. I know I will eat off plan and more calories than normal though.

Qt Congrats on the pound! LOL on the evil bagels!

Justaloozer Great job on the 1 pound loss for the week!

MamaP - I'm sorry your moving plans didn't work out! What a PITA under any circumstances but even worse over a holiday when you really are looking forward to a fresh start in a new place. Good luck not letting the stress drive you to make bad food decisions. I hope today goes better.

And a shout out to Elizabeth from page 1 who forced herself to own up to a bad day and get back on the scale! it looks like she's like me and uses the thread more to keep track than to chat but I'm always cheering for the folks on whatever page my own updates are on so I was happy to see her get back on the scale. That's what this site is all about - keeping us hones with ourselves.

Vladadog Hi  It's good to see you. I agree with your shout out to Elizabeth.

Remember, we are not perfect. If a meal, a day, a week goes off track, get right back on track. This is not a contest of perfection. It's about doing the best that you can for your body for the long term. Weight loss is not a quick fix situation. We are all learning and growing everyday. Some of us have bigger weight loss challenges that we face. No matter what, if you want to lose weight and/or improve your health, don't give up. Every day is a new day for you to try again. Have a great day!

Today is a new day . . . right? I managed to sleep almost 7 hours last night - which is more than than the prior two combined. If my movers are true to their word they should be here in about 15 minutes. Hopefully I will be unloaded at the new house by the time by daughter and the boys get out of church (which I am missing) this morning. There will still be a lot of work to do here at the old house but it can wait until tomorrow.

According to my arm band I logged over 8,000 calories burned between Friday and Saturday and 32,000 steps (and that's with forgetting to put my arm band on Friday until after I had been up and moving for 6 hours).

Thank you all for your continued support and encouragement. I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter with your family and friends and take time to remember the importance of the day. ‎"It is Finished" Happy Easter to you all.....

I did far better today then I had expected. DW and I went to my Sister's for Easter Dinner. DW announced before we left that for today she was off the diet. I thought I am in trouble because I will probably do like wise.

I came in at 1331 which is 69 calories UNDER my goal of 1400 and that included a ham dinner with all the extras and I even had a small piece of berry pie! :D:carrot::D My sodium was a little high but not too bad considering the sodium that is in ham. It was 2362 mg and my goal is 1500 mg.

Hi Everyone!

I did my workout tonight. That's about the only thing I did right. Tomorrow I'm 100% back on plan! I will keep trying to eat certain foods in moderation, but it never seems to work how I plan it. That's why I need to stay on plan 99% of the time. I can't trust myself. At least I know this and plan accordingly.

Amy Hi and Welcome to the check-in. I'm thinking your calories are not high enough. I would try 1500-1600 calories. Are you doing any type of daily exercise?

Morning all. :) I didn't do much checking in this weekend, but I have read everyone's posts.

Kris, I hope your moving issues got worked out! How awful for you. I wish all of us could have come and helped. It would have been a good workout!

I'm having trouble breaking the 195 barrier. I think my calories have been creeping up too much. Usually I'm in the 1200-1600 range, but I think I've been on the higher end of that more often than not lately.

This week's goal is to be 100% OP and to up my cardio. I've started adding some running intervals and I can't say I'm enjoying it, but I know it works. I've already been out for a walk/run this morning, so I'm starting as I intend to go on.

Have a great Monday, everyone! Mine is going to be busy.

Ah, calorie creep - I know it too well. It's difficult for me to find that magic number that will get a deficit while not being hungry all the time. Lately, I've been settling for slower losses and less hunger. I think I'll have to change it up pretty soon, though.

I did my full weight training routine yesterday for the first time in weeks and I'm feeling it today. Getting old sucks.

Have a great day everyone!

I've had a few crappy weigh-ins, but I'm sure by this time next week things will be looking better. Yesterday was a mess for me...my family has been waiting for news on a little boy my daughter babysits for, he was in an accident about a week ago, well, we were told, right in the middle of our Easter Home Service, that he'd died. I'm not even sure what all I ate after that, I was numb to my surroundings. Later, his mom called me and chewed me out for posting about his passing on facebook because he was still alive-I didn't put his name on there but it didn't matter, she knew the rumor was flying and so I made a good target I suppose. I guess the truth about his well being is being kept a secret so now my daughter and I don't know how to feel but we are worried. I'm not mad at his mom, I can't imagine being in her situation. Anyways, please pray for him to receive a miracle.

It's been a busy and enlightening week.Seems like I'm finding my new self or something and I see what i can do when I'm not on the Internet so much  Liking myself more, doing more things around here (have the energy) and caring about everything so much more it seems :) Fitted exercise in when i could and glad I WI today @ 156.0 ,held my weight since April 1st.:carrot:

I know I'm not going to lose more than 2 maybe 3 lbs a month anymore and noticed(over time) that I don't usually lose till the end of the month so at this point in my Journey, I'm forever building my mentality of the way I think about food....when,how i eat in general cause eating bad foods(making bad choices) is what made me fat and unhealthy in the first place.

Hey y'all

Quick check-in from the new job, where I don't have much to do yet... I creeped up to 191.5 this morning, and I know the culprit. I had a moment of weakness to fulfill an Oreo craving while I was at the grocery store, and I bought a bag of cookies. Sigh. I've been snacking on them all weekend, it's ridiculous. It's over, I hope. Went out for a welcome lunch with my new boss and I ordered a great spinach salad for my lunch. I picked off the cheese to avoid the sodium, and I feel good about it. Will have to work my way back out of the 90s. So mad, but so my own fault.

Hi all.

Okay, my hiatus is OVER. I am feeling so so so so fat right now, I'm at 222.2 today. I know there is water weight there, but I'm just done with all this gaining. I"m making my weight-loss wedding soup and making some little meatloaves to have ready for when I'm hungry...and easy to take to work. I'm going hard core...I know what works and what doesn't, and I think it's time to stop pretending the stuff that's never worked for me could possibly work this time. I couldn't do up a pair of size 16's today, nevermind my 14's! Done.

The great news is that I've been exercising up a storm all weekend....pilates, bike riding, cleaning the house 'old style'...my legs are still sore from our last bike ride, and I do still have muscles under my breasts and above my belly button...I know for sure because they hurt after pilates.

One thing that works for me is checking in here every day, so I think my Lent plan did not work in my favour at all. I have to exercise because it helps move me toward my goal, not as a penalty -- it just ended up putting exercise in the wrong light for me.

Anyway, it's not my first epiphany, but I feel like I'm closer to the right head space that I need to be in to get losing again, so I'm back at it with more determination than I've had in the last month or so.

About the pistachios, I've just avoided them completely since that time I posted about them last week...maybe I'll try some once I get back down about 20lbs, but for now I'm just going to steer clear of them.

I'll catch up on personals soon :)

I have been reading a lot lately about size bias, health at every size, and nutrition for the sake of nutrition not necessarily weight loss. I'm finding that feeling deprived makes my eating choices worse and brings too much guilt into my life. I've been working really hard to learn how to eat normally... as in... no plan, just pick food and eat it. I've not been letting myself feel guilty for a serving of chocolate because when I eat it just for the fun of it I only eat a few pieces but when I eat it "off plan" I feel guilty and eat a whole bag. I also don't care what the scale says... I mean, I do, because I want to lose weight, but I don't care if I'm up one day and down the next because that's just life. I'm not letting myself get upset about it or feel the need to justify.

Here are a few of the things I've been reading. I would like to know if anyone else has any experience with the health at every size movement.

Hello Everyone ... though late I hope everyone had a nice Easter.

I weighed in today at 189.0 ... no complaints just a lot of thoughtless eating as usual with me here lately. I'm tired. We have been on the go since picking Chelle up early a.m. Saturday morning. Then to see my Mother-in-law's face to see everyone on Saturday afternoon. Then yesterday I decided to get baptized (again), with my husband and my son. My Pastor was quite surprised, as was my husband. This was just a great weekend for our family.

Diana responding from the 5th, I can't remember what I ate. :dizzy: I think I did ok though. Sorry about the up for you on Friday  Diana I love your  post re: Biden  you're so cute/funny :) Diana best of luck to you with your meals on Saturday :) and this is why I keep coming back ----> I can't trust myself. At least I know this and plan accordingly. <---- your words and others comments have helps me get back on track so many times. It just takes me a little longer each time I come back

Jinxy  commenting from the 5th. First no one will forget you here. I have left and come back a few times. No one forgets, once you're here we're like family in my opinion  Sorry about your day on the 5th  Good job on the 1.5lbs down :) Good job on the 1.1 down on the 6th :) Good job on the .7 down on the 7th and It's not weird at all to shrug and walk on by ... YOU are GROWING my Dear  and the little things that use to call your name and you would go to don't pull you in any more, great NSV :high:

korij ... though I'm late :welcome: to the thread :) nice job on the 1.1lbs down on the 6th :) Good job on the .5 down on the 7th :)

Hi Salley  and Thanks re: Chelle ... good job on the 1.4lbs down on the 6th :) Salley she did, its nice to have her home. :) She said she wanted to be home by my birthday and she made it :) Good job on the 1.2 down :)

Kris hope your move goes/went well  I hope you got some rest on the the 7th  Kris I'm sorry about Saturday and the moving help not showing. I'm still reading hoping the day got better. I know it's easier said than done, but try to stay positive I really hope to read that the 8th was a much better day for you. I'm so happy to read you got almost 7 hours of sleep. That made me smile.

Larry ride away good job on the 2lbs on the 6th :)

Kelly, your whole post on the 6th sounds like me. That's what helped me loss weight walking with my hubby. He's 6'6 and trying to keep up with him with his long strides was crazy. I eventually had him to keep up with me. :D He's also skinny and was losing weigh too and I didn't like that. He doesn't need to get any thinner :). Also your statement on the candy. My kids don't like a lot of the candy that they get and I end up eating most of it. So I just stopped the baskets period since they all know they Easter Bunny is Mommy :D. Good job on the 1.4lbs down on the 6th :) Good job on the 1lb down on the 7th :) Kelly sorry about yesterday. I pray for strength and healing for him and his family and for you.

Sarah :welcome: we don't do a challenge on this thread. We just record our weight daily and keep each other uplifted :) Nice job on the 3 pounds down from the 5th to the 6th :)

Steph nice job on weighing in under 147 on the 6th :) Steph there you go again with that getting old talk, stop it  Great job on your work out

kwigg nice whoosh 2.5lbs down on the 6th :)

mags hope you're feeling better  Congrats on the 12.4lbs down so far, way to go Lady :)

justaloozer sorry about the up on the 6th. You know depending on where you got the coffee, what kind it was and where you got it, coffee can do it to you in calories also  Good job on the .6 down on yesterday :)

ChouKoe you are down 4lbs that's a nice whoosh :) What do you need to work off? :)

Vladadog, good to see you :) Hope you had a Happy Easter/Passover also

KimL good to see you and good job on the .6 down on yesterday :)

Amy  sorry that you are feeling stuck  I hope things move for you soon

Ona nice weigh in and I am so happy to hear you are enjoying the new YOU :)

kifli good job on the 1lb down :)

Hi smallsteps

Hey Kukkie, you got this  ... Happy New Job First Day :)

Angie my 12's are done, I had 3 pairs of 14th that fit I think but I had to throw 2 away because I wore the thighs out from rubbing. I bought a pair of 16 from goodwill that are quite comfy and I have two pairs of stretch pants that I wear to work. It is definitely time for me to put things back into perspective ... don't you think??? You saw that awful picture. We've got to get a plan in motion like we did before. :) Kelly I surely will not see the new decade for my birthday. :) Maybe by my anniversary in July ... That's a thought Angie and it gives us plenty of time or do you want to say June? You come up with a plan and I'll try to keep up on loseit :D.

Hi Everyone!

I had a busy day, so I won't be able to do personals. My Mom is doing another round of chemo this week. She has appointments on M,T, & W. I was up at 5 AM this morning so I could go with her. So, I'm getting sleepy, already. They changed her anti-nausea meds. She got home after her appointment and took her meds. Then she called me back up for us to go eat dinner. :carrot: This is great news and I hope the new meds continue to work for her. The other meds were not working for her.

Yesterday I felt miserable all day, after eating off plan. I was so glad to be back on plan today. I love to eat off plan, but enjoy getting back to the norm because of how bad I feel. I don't know if I will ever figure out this moderation thing. Hopefully I will. If not, I will just keep doing the best I can.

Have a great evening and sleep well. :grouphug:

Morning all! I had a perfectly OP day yesterday, then I went to bed and had a dream about baking cookies and eating loads of them. I woke up and had to reassure myself that I hadn't actually cheated. SAD.

But hey, I broke the 195 barrier after nearly a week! I'm at 194.6 today. Pretty excited about that.

Have a great day, everyone. :)

Good morning! I'm down 3lbs of sodium/water/chocolate ;) this morning and all settled in for an on plan day.

Kwigg -- No experience with that movement myself. It's great to explore all kinds of ideas and learn through trial and error what works (or doesn't) for you.

ChouKoe -- Nice 4lb drop!

REnnie -- I'm glad to hear that Chelle is home :) What is next for her? I'm going to aim to be at 212 by the time I leave for Disney on the 20th -- it's a lot, but i know I have lots of water weight here, and when I hit my plan hard it really works. I dropped 3lbs last night after one on plan day, and I hope I have another big loss tomorrow. I've started bike riding with Cam, and that's working some muscles that I had forgotten I had :D. Once I"m back from Disney I'll aim for 2lbs per week, and I'm not allowing myself a grace period when I get back. Once we are in Toronto again it's back on plan, vacation time over -- I think I just have to hold myself more accountable and be a little stricter. Any encouragement is welcome...it's always good to be 'in it' with someone else. :carrot:

Diana -- I'm glad to hear your mom's meds are working and that she had some appetite. You've been doing great, I'm so impressed with how you've held on to your maintenance range through all your reactions and stress over your mom's health.

Amanda -- Want to be your own drill sergeant along with me...or I could lend you Cameron; he's telling me he wants to see 60 minutes of exercise out of me each day!

Caroline -- Congratulations on getting to 194! I've had food dreams too...lol.

Hey y'all

Despite my healthy eating during the day, hubby brought food home last night so that I didn't have to cook after my first day. I maintained at 191.5, but I could have been down if I had cooked something myself. Oh well, it's a new day, I brought my lunch into work today and snacks as well. I'm definitely going to have to cook my own dinner tonight, and need to make sure I get a workout in as well. I haven't had a really good burn in a long time.

TOM is over so it's time to get with the program. I have been bouncing around at the beginning of the months, struggling through TOM and the cravings that go with it and then I lose in the second part of the months. I think I'm getting comfy like AKA was saying. I see the scale drop at the end of the month and get relaxed right when the cravings kick in at the beginning of the next month.

Yesterday I was so upset, crying, praying about our little friend that I didn't eat anything until 7 at night. Then I realized I'd done all I could do and he's in Jesus' hands so I'm trying to lay my burden down and have faith in whatever the outcome is. It's hard though because we didn't hear anything from his mom yesterday... I hope no news really is good news:?:

I have an energy burst today so I'm getting my house in order and will probably start working on stuff for Robbie's b-day cake. I have a seasonal room that needs to be cleaned up for his party and I need to do a yard sale as soon as the weather permits so I'll be sorting, not just throwing stuff in the basement:lol:

Oh, I signed up for the biggest loser challenge thread. They divide everyone up into 2 teams and weigh in once a week. They have threads for support throughout the week and suggest exercise challenges (this is my understanding anyways) Then they announce the biggest loser for the week and the overall team winner for each week and then at the end of 13 weeks they have the grand totals. The deadline for signing up is Apr.22. I wanted to mention it in case anyone here wants to do it too.:D

thistoo:yay: on your new break through!!

Diana I'm glad u got some sleep:hug: yay for .2 down!:D

Larry sorry about the wrong direction, but we all know it happens as a part of the way our bodies work so don't get discouraged! You can lose it again, probly as quickly as it came:D

Rennie I love you girl!! I'm so happy Chelle is home! :congrat: on your family's baptisms:) plz let me know if there is anything I can do to help you get back on the wagon, you too Angie:hug:

My sister and I have a nickname for that feeling we get when we have the push to actually get the weight of, the IT factor. We can't figure out how to get IT, but we know we need IT to get the job done. I forced myself to have IT with a challenge at the beginning of the year with my sisters, now I'm trying to have IT just because I need IT!;) So if there's something I can do to help someone get their IT factor going, let me know!

I am back at work today so at least I am getting a chance to sit down - :). I am absolutely exhausted and my nightmare move is not yet over. I am taking Friday off to try to finish things up. The hired movers got a lot done on Sunday, but not everything. I even managed to get some "grandma time" with the boys on Sunday - some naptime snuggling, then a simple dinner in the new backyard and some serious bubble blowing/bubble chasing. I do know I am going to LOVE my new house - although I can tell it will be one of those houses that doesn't maintain temperatures well (hopefully the utilities won't be too bad). The bedrooms are all big so my grandsons' room will also be their playroom and my craft room is going to be amazing. I have a lot of work ahead of me to weed out stuff and get everything organized, but once the old house is completely empty and my keys are turned in I'm just going to breathe for a few days/weeks before I really start tackling the stuff that will be piled in my garage.

I hope everyone had a good Easter. Thanks for all the well wishes!

Kukkie -- Good job on maintaining!

Kelly -- Thanks for mentioning the biggest loser, I wanted to join as well. Yes, it's my IT factor that has been lacking...I'm working on IT.

Kris -- It sounds like things are looking up for you at the new house...did you go with one that is closer to your grandkids?

Amanda -- You just summon your inner drill sergeant and don't let yourself get away with things...and then scream at yourself to do better. :) 'You're too tired to exercise soldier!? You weren't too tired to eat that twinkie, you weren't too tired to nap on Saturday! Get out there, get your shoes on and run! Double time!!' == something along those lines...lol :drill:

I moved closer to work (10 miles instead of nearly 40) . . . the bonus is that it's 30 minutes closer to the grandkids and big enough they can have their own (shared) bedroom/playroom and I still get a guest room and my craft room. I lose a basement, but gain a bedroom and a much better kitchen. Just means I have to thin out my "junk" and just keep what really matters. The move itself has been a nightmare but when it's over it will be worth it. The boys were super excited when they saw it and when some of their stuff from my house started being unloaded into the house. My daughter said "you do know they think THEY are moving in here?" I was like yep, but that's okay. I want them to think of it as theirs too.

weighed in this morning at 191.6 I think. I know the 191 was there but can't remember point what.

Thanks Caroline, I am going to for sure try to do better tomorrow. I have already blown today. Glad you did well. And thanks on Chelle ... she's such a little woman now. It's a little odd :) Nice weigh in :)

Diana glad your Mom got new meds. I'm sure you'll figure it everything out eventually. You give really great advice and most of us do look to you for help I think, so you'll figure it out for you and for us :D Glad you got more sleep, good job on the .2 down :)

Hi Larry  sneaky sodium :) it'll be gone soon

Amanda you can do it

Angie nice whoosh of stuff :), Way to go :high: How many lbs down before 212? I don't know if this is water weight or not. I do know I need to plan like crazy in order to do RIGHT. I am 4lbs shy of my start weight with 3FC :(
... I know things (my food) must be ready when I get home from work. That is my weakest moment and then I just eat like there is NO tomorrow. I'm gonna try my best to eat right tomorrow. I'll start with my (Kukkie smoothie) and for lunch I will try to have another one. I'll post it on loseit when I am finished here and see what I get. I made a roast in the slow cooker so I will have a few ounces of that for dinner tomorrow. Let's see what my weigh in will be on Thursday if I can do right ALL day tomorrow. The kids are on spring break. I wanted to take them to a putt-putt golf place on Thursday my off day. Then my Sister-in-laws and I were gonna try to have lunch some place on Saturday for my birthday and I don't want to blow any loss I may have that one day. SO DEFINITELY A TON OF PLANNING. I don't know what her plans are yet. I think she is just wanting to enjoy seeing her friends again. :) Love the Drill Sergeant technique, don't know if it will work but it sounds good :)

Hey Kukkie, I am right here with you at 191 :)

 Kelly  Please let your faith be your guide. Let go and Let God  love you too :D Like I told Angie I just have no clue as to what I can do. I lost all of my weight before walking and eating right, counting calories and staying on 3FC. I know I can eat right, I know I can count calories but I can't walk at this point when I come home because my legs hurt after standing all day. So I don't now what I will do for exercise. I am going to get BACK on loseit with Angie for sure.

Kris glad to hear you had some great quality time with your grandsons and got some rest also. :) Also glad to hear the hired movers showed up for you ... sounds like things are gonna come together wonderfully for you

Thanks for the votes of confidence Rennie and Diana! I also 'declared' myself here at home and asked Cameron and my mom for their support in not offering me 'off plan' stuff, and if they have to have carbs at dinner, to only make enough for them, because I won't be able to resist at first. I do have a lunch out planned tomorrow, but hey, that's life, I'll just have to find stuff on the menu that works for me even if it's not the thing I want most. I'll have to invite my inner drill sergeant along...

I think I may have gotten a handle on the IT thing Kelly was mentioning. I had to get back to the space in my head where I was in the summer of 2010 -- so ready for change and wanting to be healthy. I could picture myself wearing cute clothes, and doing lots of activities with Cameron. I feel like I'm motivated and just 'into it' right now...so I'm all over that and trying to gain myself some momentum.

Kris -- It sounds like a great situation for you overall. How is your mom doing?

Rennie -- 212 means I have to lose 7 more lbs in 10 days..yikes. Tomorrow's weigh in will tell me if I can come close I think...I'm still counting on more water weight leaving me!

Good evening, all.

I've had a bad couple of days, food-wise. Like Amanda and Angie, I need to summon my inner drill sergeant. Why is it I can make myself work out every day but I can't pass up the leftover pizza in the office kitchen? Food issues, indeed, Diana. There's just no getting away from it.

Rennie, belated well wishes on Chelle's return. I hope she's not discouraged by her experience and is on her way to finding her path. And I hear ya about the after work/before dinner eating. I have to stand in the kitchen while my cats eat (or the fat boys will eat my skinny girl's food) and it's hard not to mindlessly eat whatever is nearby while I wait for her to finish (and she's the slowest eater ever!).

Kris, I hope you enjoy getting settled. I used to move every few years and, as stressful as it was, it was also fun to set up the new place.

Kukkie, how's the new job? I know it's early days but I hope you're happier than you were at the old gig.

Hang in there everybody!

Angie I too need to get back to where I was the summer of 2010. I would so love to lose 30lbs in a little over 3 months. I have to truly take baby steps this go around ... I am literally crawling here, I just hope I can stand up and walk soon. :) I have my meals planned for tomorrow. I just figured out that I am not able to enter my food a day ahead so that's a minor set back :(. But I have it ready so I hope I do well. ... I also told the kids that I hit the 190 and really need to watch what enters my mouth from here on out so let's hope they help me also. I made rice and yeast rolls to go with the roast and I am proud to say that I did not eat any. I did put some of the roast away with 2 small roasted potatoes and carrots for tomorrows dinner. The kids ate all of the bread :yay: Oh and I want to wear all of my cute clothes again also ;)

Amanda good job on getting your exercise in :)

Steph LOL that's sounds like my youngest daughter. None of the kids eat as slow as she does. Tonight I just threw her food in the trash. I didn't want to hear her whine and I surely didn't need to sit in the kitchen and nibble off her plate. :nono: I am the one that doesn't like to see things go to waste. :) I need to work on that again too. :) Thanks Steph, Chelle has been quite positive through all of this. She is looking forward to possibly re-enlisting in 6 months. However, she needs to go see a doctor about her hips and knees to make sure there is nothing seriously wrong that is hindering her ability to run.

I am preparing a time machine to take us all back to the summer of 2010! That's when my slow creeping regain started, and I would LOVE to catch it before I saw 218 again. I was in the 150s! It kills me whenever I look in my closet and see all the clothes I can't wear. I'm not even sure how I've gotten through the past year. I only have a couple pair of pants that fit. Luckily, I suppose, skirts are more forgiving.

Steph, I have to do the same with my cats, because one's a slow eater who doesn't care that much about food, and the other is a former alley cat who thinks every meal is her last and will do anything to get as much food as possible. She's even tried to crawl onto my plate a time or two. What I do is feed the slow eater upstairs in my bedroom. It's a pain, but it keeps me from pre-dinner munching when I first get home and I'm starving.

Rennie and Angie, great job getting back on track yesterday! We all know that's the hardest part. Once it's a habit again it's not so bad.

Diana, food dreams are the weirdest. I never used to have them until I gave up grains. Now I dream about accidentally eating flour all the time. It's bizarre.

Well, I am happy to say that I weighed in at 193.4 this morning. That's a 2.2 lb loss for the week! After my 4.4 pounds last week, I've had an almost seven pound loss in just two weeks. That is unheard of for me. TOM is looming so it's about to slow right down, but still. I'm going to enjoy it while I can! I think I really can make my goal of seeing the 180s this month.

Whoa! No summer of 2010 for me! I weighed more then than I do now! This summer I WILL be the thinnest I have been in at least 6 yrs. Last summer I was down to 267, and since I packed it all back on, I need to lose 30+ lbs by the end of summer to beat my weight from last year.

I'm 291.8 today, so that is a 1.4lb loss from yesterday. I have a movie date today but it is attached to a restaurant. I am thinking of bringing my own lunch but I dont think they allowed outside food in.

Good morning!!

I'm still at 191.5 and can't seem to shake it.. It's driving me nuts!!! I'm out of the house all day today: I go straight from work to my volunteer training. This is the second of four sessions before I get to work with the learners. The good news is that I packed all of my foods with me, so I'm just going to have to be determined and show some willpower against the temptations of snacking on nonsense. I quit smoking for goodness' sake, I can hold out against some cookies and chips, can't I?

Rennie We need to kick these 90s to the curb. Let's get it done girlfriend. I loved that you call it your Kukkie smoothie, made me  Congrats on the family baptism, I'm sure it was very special to do it together! And Chelle is back, yay! How is she doing, does she have any plans for what's next?

 Angie I need an inner drill sargeant as well. And I think it's great that you set some food boundaries with your mom and Cameron.

Diana and Steph Yep, I'm at the new job now - day 3. My commute in and out is much shorter, so I feel like I'm sleeping better now or at least longer in any case. Still trying to figure out a routine, because I have so much going on outside of work. But the people here are fantastic so far, and have really made me feel welcome, so that's great. Time will tell, but I've got high hopes for this place.

Kris I know the move has been frustrating, but I know that the reward when it's all done will be oh so sweet and I'm sure you'll appreciate it that much more!

 to everyone else!

Not much time to come on this week busy, busy, busy, (still busy I really should be working on Math right now). My son's has a competition that went state so that is this weekend and next weekend is me and my husband's getaway weekend. This week I've been trying to crush everything in so that I don't have anything I need to do over the weekend (wish me luck). And the next week after is exams :stress:(wish me luck here as well I'm starting to get nervous again). I do have good news it seems that I have been placed on the Dean's List at my college :hat::encore:. So all of that :book2: has been for good reason :D . And another good bit of news is that I get a week in between classes (for spring break, I can't wait) :carrot: . I hope everyone is having a great week and I hope things get back to normal soon so that I can be able to post regularly (or somewhat regularly  ), as well as make personals for everyone.

I had a little NSV today... I was trying to get ready for work and realized I had a meeting so I would need to be dressed up a little. My favorite pants were dirty and the clean ones would have meant wearing uncomfortable shoes. I remembered a pair of pants I had bought a while back that were way clearanced but too small to button or zip. I decided to pull them out and give it a go. Praise the Lord, they fit! I wore them and they were very comfy.

Hi Everyone!

I ate healthy and on plan tonight, but we ate at the cafeteria. It seems the cafeteria always makes me gain water weight from the sodium. Hopefully there's not too much drama for my weigh in tomorrow. If it is, it will take a couple days to pass.

Angie I think it's a great idea to let the family know your plan and what foods you are avoiding. It will allow them to be more supportive of you.

AKA How was your 5K practice?

Steph :coach: says step away from the pizza! Pizza will not make you feel good tomorrow! Hang in there!

Rennie Great job avoiding the bread, yesterday! :yay:

Thistoo Congrats on the 2.2 pounds for the week!

Justaloozer Great job on the 1.4 pounds!

Kukkie Glad to hear the new job is a good fit! :coach: says step away from the cookies and chips! They will NOT bring you closer to your goal! ;)

Hello everyone :) I'm down 1.8 to 217.4 today. I think I've used up all my water shedding grace pounds...and now I have to chip away at the real fat. I did well at lunch today -- we went to a restaurant near the office and I ordered from the 'healthy choice' menu and had a bunless sundried tomato burger with asparagus and plain red baby potatoes for around 400 calories.

Steph -- Good luck with your inner military person!

REnnie -- I find that really annoying about Loseit, that they don't let you plan ahead...I've sent the feedback, but I guess they fix the things they hear about most, and it must not be top of the list. I squeezed my butt into my cute new mint green cropped pants today, it was a tight fit, but just two days ago I couldn't even button them.

Caroline -- The clothes were a really wake up call for me...I gave away most of my fat clothes, so I'm having to make due with a few stretchy things because I won't buy more clothes in bigger sizes..no way! Good job on your loss this week :)

Diana -- Congratulations on your -1.4! I hope the cafeteria won't mess you up tomorrow.

Justaloozer -- You too...good job on your -1.4 :)

Kukkie -- Yes you can do it! :) Those cookies and chips can't order you around and distract you from your goals! :D

Mirabai -- Good job this week!

Salley

Kelly -- I'm very sorry for your loss :( :(

ONa -- Thank you! I feel like my head is in the right place, I just have to keep my focus. I'll be in Florida in a week..I'm so excited! Want to meet us at Disney?

Kim

Jinxy -- Tomorrow is the other side of hump day, so hopefully you'll get your drop! Congratulations on making the Deans list!

Kwigg -- Nice NSV, I love when that happens!

Diana-it was great! we did 1.3 miles then played touch football! I'm one of the few girls who shows up for practice regularly, so it's just me and a bunch of guys. FUN stuff.

Will check in the morning. I've got to get some personals in!

So I stayed away from the chips and cookies - yes I did. But unfortunately for me, I'm up 0.2 to 191.7. Argh! In any case, I'm set up for a good day today. I finally got back to making myself the green breakfast smoothie, and I feel really good. Have my snacks (healthy ones) and lunch packed, so I should be good. I've got nothing on the agenda tonight, so after work I'm going straight home and will make my own dinner where I can have some control over what goes in. Time to get back on track!

Ok yesterday I weighed in at 192.0 :yikes:

Today I weighed in at 189.4 ... I did very well until I got home and then the munchie monster got to me ... I ate my roast with to small potatoes cooked in it and carrots ... then I ate 2.5 cups of Corn Pops (I can't drink the milk so I added cereal until the milk was gone). My husband said, "HONEY" when I poured the last bowl because he thought I was over doing it ... and I was. So I'm surprised to have a 2.6lb lost. But I ate it all before Bible study and then I had jello with peaches and 2 plain cup cakes after, but not a lot. AND I got my water in :D

Caroline oh my goodness ... me too on the clothes. I do try them on only to toss them in the chair in my room. You should see that chair it's a mountain and I am too lazy to put it all back. I need to put it all in a lawn bag, then my closet would be empty. :D and me too on what I can fit :D Congrats on the 2.2lbs gone :high: and I am confident you'll see the new decade this month. Hope I can also :)

Diana good job on the 1.4lbs down yesterday :)

justaloozer good job on the 1.4lbs down yesterday :) Congrats on being the thinnest this year, way to go :)

Kukkie had it not been for you I would have never attempted that smoothie. I know your issues with food are the same as mine, I just wish I could kick the meat like you. I trust what you eat so I will definitely try anything that you eat without question. And it's healthy too, makes it all the better :) I weighed in at 189.4 this morning. I'm taking the kids putt putt golfing today so I hope I can act like I have some since while I'm out today ;) We will make the next decade this month and stay here until May then we'll strive for the next  I'm not sure what Chelle has planned ... I want to give her another week before I start bugging her. :)

mirabai nice whoosh water or not way to go on the 3.5lbs gone :high:

Salley

Kelly I'm sorry to hear about your family friend. It's always sad when a child passes. I pray for strength for his family to get through this. My condolences to his family and you and yours

kifli good job on the 1lb down on the 11th :)

Thanks Ona It's funny the people that don't have anything good to say that say once baptized always baptized, smh. I do know this, I'm not a new babe in Christ. I just wanted to be baptized with my husband and son and by my Pastor and it did make their day :) ... I am sure trying to keep this fat under control :)

Hi everyone! I'm a bit late but I would like to join for the month of April. I'm also very new to 3fc and still learning the ropes. I'm getting married next April and I want to lose at least 60lbs before the wedding but not just for the wedding.... I need to lose it for so many other reasons as well. My ultimate goal is to lose 100lbs by the end of my journey and I'm determined to wear a two piece for my honeymoon! lol

I don't know how I went down .8 from yesterday. I totally ate without caring. I was in such a fog I couldn't even tell you what all I did eat, I just know it included a BurgerKing B-fast and a McD's dinner and a cadburry egg. I just hope this means if I get out of this depression and get on plan that I'll lose a bunch more quickly. I really wanted to see 199 by my b-day on the 27th. Thanks everyone for your prayers and hugs. We're just waiting for funeral arrangements to be announced now. It's so hard when something like this happens and you feel like the world should just stop for a few till you can get it together but the earth just keeps spinning and the clock keeps ticking. Appointments have to be kept, children have to be bathed and fed, and I have a big beautiful cake to make for my baby's first b-day party on Saturday (he'll be one tomorrow!)

Hello to all my 3FC friends

Up 1lb since last weigh in last week

Hi everyone... I'm back, I had an unplanned trip out of town so I did not have a chance to weigh in or work out for almost a week. I got a call last week Wed that my Grandmother was very sick and was not expected to make it through the weekend. We left Thursday morning to go to Minnesota got there that afternoon and she passed away that night. :( So needless to say we stayed for services and and visited with some family and got back late last night. I was doing my best to make the right food choices and stay active but it was not the same as being home and going to the gym. I was not going to let the scale get me down no matter what it said this morning but was very presently surprised to see only a one pound gain (I guess I was doing something right)!!!
I am really looking forward to getting back to the gym tomorrow and even more excited that Friday is Zumba Day!!! Got to get my Dance/Workout on. I hope everyone has been good, tonight I am going to be going back through and read all the posts i have missed over the past week.

My scale read 220 this morning:(:( It is moving in the wrong direction. My calories have been on plan but my sodium has been a little high. Since my calories have been OK this must be water weight. Given enough time my experience has shown that it will come back off again.

Good morning 3FC fam jam!

I'm still stuck at 191.7 but I have my team welcome lunch today. Will have to stay especially on point to make some good choices. Not sure what the evening will hold, but I know I won't be home for dinner....Tomorrow morning will be a fresh start for working out. I bought the darn Bosu ball, I need to start putting it to use.

Hey Rennie - quick one for you, I think you said you didn't like bananas and weren't putting it in your smoothie because you didn't like the smell or the sweetness when they get especially ripe. Sooo, I accidentally bought organic bananas the other day, which I didn't mean to do but whatever. Anyway, I added that into my smoothie this morning, and it was soooo much better. I'd recommend it if you want to find a way to add the bananas back in!

Julie my condolences to you and your family darling

down another .4 today:)
My baby is One today. His party is tomorrow and I started working on his cake yesterday. I'm making a 10 in round (2 layer) for the bottom with little pillars to hold up a 6in round that will have a cake-teddy bear on top. I made a tree that will set on the 10 in and come up and over the teddy bear. I'm decorating the bear to look like Pooh and I'll have bees and honeypots to decorate all over. I still have to make more leaves for the tree, bake all the cakes, and make more frosting today. Yesterday I mainly worked on the tree and a batch of buttercream. I only tasted a lil' to make sure it was super scumptious;) I want to have the whole thing done by tonight so I can just work on the food and cleaning the house tomorrow before the party.

Julie I'm sorry for your family's loss:hug: Only gaining a pound after a stessful week like that is super good, you'll have it off in no time at all!:)

Angie .2 is no big deal, you could have done everything perfect and had that happen just because our bodies do that stuff;)

I surprised myself by being down to 174 today. Maybe I am actually losing a bit of weight and not just water. Did some exercise yesterday and that felt good. Today begins what typically for me is much harder and that is the weekend where I end up overeating, BUT, am going to work really hard to make this weekend different! Hope you all have a great day. Can't wait until I can put those little smiley wiggly things on my posts...and a progress meter! I am going to try a wiggly right now and see if it works! :carrot:

Hi Everybody! I think I'm in a zone. A good one. I just hope it stays for a long time. What I mean by a zone, is that it seems if I eat a certain breakfast, that I am not very hungry during the day. I still get the late night munchies, but I eat so little calories during the day, I can still satisfy the cravings. So it might not be the healthiest breakfast, but I have been eating one of those Morning Star Chx patties or bacon and one piece of wheat toast with light mayo. I have a chocolate peanut butter granola bar for a snack (150 calories) and then one Lean Cuisine or Amy's for lunch. I can eat as much fruit and veggies as I want (not counting calories here). For dinner I eat whatever I prepared for the fam(a protein and veggies, light on the starch, reasonable portion). Then I have my chocolate fix in the late evening before bed (half or whole snickers, etc.)

It's working right now for me, so I'm going to continue for a while and we'll see how long it lasts. Just trying whatever it takes to get these last 20 off. For me maintenance is easy, losing is very, very hard :(

Also, went to Zumba last night but had to cancel Zumba this morning b/c both boys (3 and 1) are sick. Maybe I'll do a video today.

Love this site, so glad I found you guys :)

Good morning! We are on our way out the door, but I wanted to check in...I was up .2 again yesterday, but I know it's just from the carbs/sodium the previous day. Today I ate breakfast before weighing in, so I didn't even want to look at the scale and get discouraged. I should be good for tomorrow, except that we are going to a new restaurant tonight and I'm not sure how that will affect me.

Diana -- The restaurant we are trying is Japanese...any advice? :)

Diana -- The restaurant we are trying is Japanese...any advice? :)

Angie Is it authentic Japanese or like a Japanese steakhouse? If it's a Japanese steakhouse I would stick with grilled protein/veggies and avoid the fried/steamed rice. Of course the steamed rice is a better option than the fried. You can also cut your carbs during the day so you can have the rice. It's so hard eating at some places because the sodium is crazy, no matter what you get. Good luck! Let us know what you decided on.

weighed in today at 188.4 up 1.2 from yesterday ... McDonald's for dinner last evening ... Today is my 46th bday. I got highlights in my hair. I have always wanted to do it but never did because it cost more than I wanted to spend and the salons always said it would take a long time. My hair is thin so it only took about two hours. I'm not sure what I think of it yet. It's ok but I don't know if i really like it. The kids and my husband say they like it :). I cooked on the grill but I think everything is a tad salty for some reason so we shall see what the scale says in the a.m.

ok picking up from where I left off on the 12th ...

Jinxy, best of luck to you on your exams, Congrats on making the Dean's List :high: and :yay: on Spring Break coming up :)

kwigg good job on the .4 down on the 11th :) Congrats on your NSV with the slacks, way to go :high:

I am prayerful that there are better days coming. :) Diana hopefully TOM won't stick around long this go around  Thanks regarding yesterday. We did have a pretty good evening, I had to work so the day was the day :D Good job on the .8 down today :)

Angie great job on the 1.8 down on the 11th and great eating choices also :high: Great NSV on the mint cropped pants, way to go :high: yeah it would be great to see my calorie count ahead of time on loseit :D Best of luck at/with the restaurant

Maybe take a day or two to fast and pray  YOU can do this  Happy Birthday to your little one :) Good job on the .2 down yesterday :) that cake sounds beautiful and delicious :) Nice job on the 1.6lbs down and Congrats on your new low :high:

Julie sorry to hear about your Grandmother, my condolences to you and your family  Nice whoosh yesterday, 2.5lbs gone :high: Wow Julie way to go on your 2lbs down :high: and thanks for the note and the positive energy :)

ChouKoe great whoosh 3lbs gone :high:

Larry thank goodness that's the one thing we can count on ... sodium going away and knowing from experience :)

justaloozer:crossed: for a great whoosh :)

Kukkie I did say that about bananas :yuk: I will give the organic bananas a shot. :) Even when the kids eat bananas the peels have to go out, pew :D

Hey
Back with my tail between my legs! There has been a distinct lack of sense in my head lately, and some not eating, followed by eating things I wouldn't normally allow myself, and forgetting my obsessiveness, has caused a 9lb gain.I AM disappointed, but am aware of what has caused this and am ready to put this right.
Everything I said and believe is true for me. As soon as I stop focussing, my old ways come back. Sadly I am not cured of this addiction.
Hey ho - smile, dust myself off and move on!
My plan is to go back to the original plan, stop skipping meals, drink my water and come here every day.
So ladies, I'm officially BACK ! :)

Rennie, belated happy birthday. I'm sure you were glad Chelle was home with you to celebrate.

This past week has been just crazy at work and I felt like I was eating way too much, but I weighed in at 145.8 this morning - such a surprise! I'm hoping that this means my idea of "too much" has gotten more normal. Before, "too much" was an entire pizza and half a dozen cookies. I weighed twice as much as I should because I ate twice as much as I should. Now, overeating is 3 slices of pizza, so that's a big improvement.

Anyway, 3 more days of **** at work and then I'll have time to catch up here. I hope everyone is doing well and staying on plan.

Good Morning, Everyone!

The TTOM drama and mind games are on! :sumo:

Calories for yesterday: 1815 + :coffee:
Weigh In: 146.6
Up: .8

Rennie I didn't realize that it was your Birthday! ::celebrate::bday2you::celebrate: Did you have any cake? Sometimes it takes a bit to adapt to a new hairstyle or color. I remember when I got mine cut short the first time. I had been unhappy with my hair for a while. I didn't talk to anyone about it or really even think about cutting it. I went to my hair appointment and told her to cut it short, up to here! :D She was shocked, but excited. She had been wanting to cut it for a while, but didn't tell me. DH came in for his appointment and didn't recognize me. Sometimes you just have to try something new. I hope you adjust to the color and like it. How is Chelle doing?

Starbrite Sorry to hear about your struggles, but glad you are back before you gained much back. You can get rid of those 9 pounds in no time. I have had people think, now that I have lost weight, that I can stop my exercising and eat the old way. I can't do that. I would end up being 300, 400 or more pounds again. I can relate to your comment about not being "cured". I don't think I will ever be cured. I have food issues and it is what it is. Nothing will fix the fact that I dearly love to eat. I don't necessarily stress eat, emotional eat, boredom eat, etc. Yes, I can do all of that, but I flat out love food and love to eat. :dunno: I know what I should and shouldn't do. No counseling will change that I love food. Oh, well. Just wanted to let you know that you are not alone in your struggles. Welcome back!

Morning everyone. I have been useless about checking in here the last few days. It's been a really weird week.

Rennie, I missed your birthday! I noticed this morning when I was filling in my weight for the day way back on page one. Happy belated birthday! I'm glad you had a nice day with your family. Sometimes with highlights it takes a bit for them to 'settle in'. Once they mellow a bit you might like them more. And if not, you'll know you don't have to spend that kind of money on them anymore!

I've been struggling some this week, not sure why. TOM is looming, so maybe it's hormonal. My weight's been all over the place: 193.4, 194.2, 194.8 (!), 192.6, and this morning I'm back to 194. I have no idea. I'm just going to let my body do whatever it's doing and stick with my plan. I think I need more veggies this week, though.

Morning! I'm down 1.4 from 2 days ago to 216.4 today, so I think I've survived the Japanese restaurant without too much damage. I'm going to a baby shower today and eating out at asian restaurants twice this week, so it will be a real challenge, but I'm going to do well by making careful choices...no more rice for sure. I'm fighting off something, not sure if it is a cold or allergies, but I'm very congested, so trying to drink a lot of fluids to break it up or flush it out.

Diana -- It was a Japanese Steakhouse, so I had the filet mignon with veggies, and since I hadn't eaten any other carbs all day, I had some rice. It was so much fun, Cameron loved it...our chef flipped pieces of broccoli to each of us to catch in our mouths and set things on fire, so it was really fun for him.

Rennie -- It sounds like a good birthday...do we get to see pics of your hair? Grilling was a great choice, at this time of year I want to grill everything.

Starbrite -- (Sam) Welcome back! No shame in having to work on things a bit, we are all human.

I'll try to check in again this evening -- have a wonderful Sunday everyone!

Sam  :welcome: back Lady, thanks for my FB HB I appreciate it

Thanks Steph :), she stayed with me all day, then she went to hang out with her friends las night. One of them's <---- (is that a word) birthday is today. Nice job on the 1.2lbs down :high:

Thanks Diana :), I did have a small piece (with no icing) because it had buttercream icing which you all know I can't stand, blah. I only like the original white icing that only Giant Food and Bloom/Food Lion use but my Mom and her husband said the cakes they had with icing were too small. So I guess it was a good thing because I won't eat much of it. I remember you telling us about that appointment :D. I washed it again last night so to me it looks better this morning. I don't like all the gunk they put in your hair at the salons. It makes my hair to heavy. We'll see how the week goes with it. :)

Thanks Caroline :) she only charged me 55 which I thought was great considering the hair cuttery told me 75. I have heard they have to settle :) so we shall see ;) I'm struggling with this back and forth, all over the place also so I fully understand. We'll get through this phase

Angie :woohoo: you are doing it Lady :high: 1.4lbs down :) I'll have Chelle take a picture when we come home ... she's getting ready now. Came in this morning talking about not going to church, I don't think so. :) Hope you can kick whatever it is soon. We need a new flame thing for our grill you actually have to like it with a lighter which I know isn't good. I'll have to price the parts in Walmart again. :)

KimL :woohoo: 2.8 whoosh, way to go Lady :high:

Happy Belated Birthday Rennie!!!! :gift: May You Have Many,Many More  I bet your Highlights look great :) We're always our own worse enemy ;) My Hairdresser wants me to get them too. It's just hard for me to except a change like that.Since I've lost weight,am stepping out doing more, she thinks i need to change my hairstyle too and that they'll look great. She even said she'd do them free as a gift  But i don't think so. I'm not that flashy i guess. :D
Great WI today :cp: I know, that's something I'm working on too,not eating till I'm stuffed.Although I stuff myself w/veggies,I still don't like that feeling, especially when I'm not even hungry.:o and also since I drink a big thing of water before I eat :dizzy:
I don't think it's anything wrong w/someone getting baptized again. It's like when people get married a second time.I'd like to do it again for my conformation but IDK.

Ughhh, what a weekend. Full of food, and full of stuffing my face. Horrible horrible choices... And guess what, the scale shoved it in my face this morning. I am up to 194.7. Just a week ago, I saw the 80s. How on earth did I let this happen. So irritated with myself. The good news is that I know what happened, and I'm going to try my hardest not to let it happen again. I did get in a great workout last night, and my muscles are singing from it this morning, which is a mighty good feeling.

I'm going back to daily workouts. They act as a constant deterrent when it comes to food. I want to workout to get rid of the excess weight, not to get rid of the unnecessary junk I'm eating.

Rennie - sorry I missed it, happy belated birthday!!!!!

Sam - good to have you back. As Diana said, you'll get those 9lbs gone in no time, and you did an excellent thing by coming back before you gained any more.

Hey
Down 2.7lbs - guzzled water like a  yesterday.
Made me much happier to see that the gain was not as bad as I expected :)
Kukkie - thanks for the warm re-welcome
On a- You are doing soooo awesome. I have been watching your progress over the last few months. I'm very proud of you
Had my kitchen ripped out today. Came home from work to total chaos !! At least I won't be able to eat much over the next three weeks hahahahahaha!
Big sunny smiles to you all.
