I will try to go for a pound a week.

I'll go for 11 (just to be different) and puts me at a round number...isn't it funny how the numbers are such a big deal...I have another one...I want to be able to wear some nice blue slacks hanging in my closet that I never wore. They should be plenty comfortable once I lose 11 lbs.

Hey Deb, if you don't mind, I may start posting my daily food choices here? This might make me more accountable for what I stuff into my mouth!!!!!!

I am a slow loser too, so my challenge will be 9 lbs. It's a really big deal when I go over 1 lbs per week! I aimed a little higher than I think I can do, I bet I will reach 6 or 7, but that way the closer I get the prouder I will be!
Good Luck all!

So far, so good. I lost 8 pounds last week on Atkins(I don't follow it to the letter, I have a few carbs). Some of that loss is because I had a stomach virus and couldn't keep anything down. I lose very quickly the first few weeks I'm on program. If it keeps going well, I may ammend my goal a bit.
My meals for today:
Breakfast: 1 egg, 3 strips bacon
Lunch: Large salad with green onions, green olives and ranch dressing
snack: cottage cheese
Dinner: Homemade meatloaf, some type of green vegetable
I'm not an after dinner snacker, so that will probably do me.

Ramona,
Atkins is the plan that Debbie always does so well on.I tried it last year and couldn't stick to it because of not being able to have carbs.
You said that you don't follow it to a "T" and do have a few carbs. My question is: Like what carbs do you eat & how much?
I would love to try Atkins again but the carb part is what killed me! Just a little bit of it and I believe I could stay on it.
Thanks for any input!

Sherry, I allow myself to have some pecans and cashews occasionally and even on the induction, I have green vegetables, onions, sauteed mushrooms(YUM!), lot's of salad, etc.
I make an orange jello salad with cottage cheese and sugar free jello and whipped cream.
Also, on Sunday, I eat anything I want within reason. The free day is such a treat that the rest of the week is easy.
If you can get through a couple of weeks, your blood sugar will stabalize and you won't crave the pasta as much.
I hope this helps some!

WTG Ramona!!!
The low calorie thing didn't work for me last week. I know myself and I need a plan that I have to follow closer. As of this morning I'm back on Adkins!!!
Carol...Glad you have joined us with our Easter challenge!!
Ramona...Your plan sounds like mine. I have never cut out carbs totally. But I do stay away from the sugars though. How does your free day work for you? Is Mondays hard to get back on plan?
You girls are doing great!!!
Deb
