Good Morning Chicks,

I am looking for a few brave souls who would like to join me in a weekly weigh in. It would begin Wednesday, March 5, which happens to coincide with lent, and will last 40 days. But we welcome all to join. This also coincides with a campaign for March 5th to the Great American Weigh In. Please see details below from WW site.

I will start it tomorrow, and we can check in every Wednesday after that. You can report your current weight, set a goal, or just report weekly progress.

WW Article:

Weight Watchers and the American Cancer Society (ACS) are concerned about your health. That's why on March 5 you can walk into a Weight Watchers center and learn your Body Mass Index (BMI) for free. BMI is a number that is as important to your health as your blood pressure. We'll talk to you about living a healthier lifestyle and how to lower your BMI if it is too high. Then, if you wish, you can stay for a meeting to see what Weight Watchers is all about.

"The Great American Weigh InSM gives people an opportunity to increase their awareness about the connection between their BMI and their health," says Stevie, a Weight Watchers leader in Sunnyvale, California.

Consider it a free first step toward living a longer, healthier life. Don't you think you deserve it? And don't you want to know everything you can find out about the relationship between your BMI, your lifestyle, and your risk for cancer? Read on for some basics.

see www.weightwatchers.com for the complete article.

Hope you are with me! Remember to weigh in Wednesday March 5!

Ugh. I hate the BMI! Why don't they do something meaningful, like a body fat measurement?

According to BMI and charts that give recommended weight for height, I am obese. I am not. I am overweight, but the "normal" weights for these scales would put me in anorexic territory.

I'll do it too, even though I weighed yesterday, I'll weigh again tomorrow (maybe I'll have lost some water weight) and make Wednesdays my day!
