Question Calorie Counter- Not Eating Enough ?!

Hi there Guys,

Ok so far been on my Calorie Counting Life Style Change for 2ish weeks along with my Tabata Work Outs Which Burn around 350-700 Calories Depends how Long I Do it....

I am only consuming around 1200-1400 max Calories Per Day and then exercising 4-5 Times a week..

So am Not eating Enough and burning quite a bit of calories- I am trying to do the Small Meals 5/6 Times a day Aswell- Feel like it keeps the Snacking at bay..

Also, I feel like am eating a fair amount of food....

Typical Menu is:

8am- Scrambled Egg (2, Semi skimmed Milk, Microwave)
10ish- Small Bowl of Special K with Semi Skimmed Milk
12:30ish - Soup and maybe a bread Roll, Or Chicken Salad
2/3ish - Small Bowl of Cereal Or Fruit Or Cup a Soup
6:30 - Exercise (20-40mins)
7ish - Tuna, Salad, Sweetcorn, Chicken - Depends

Any Ideas How I can up my Calorie in take or Should I Up it ?? All a bit confused ?

Thank you

Gill x

Try eating some protein-loaded pistachios or other nuts! Or avocado which is high in fiber. They are both healthy and high in calories.

How about some cheese and veggies with your eggs - omelette or scrambled in an "egg-mug?" Or adding a sausage patty or some other "breakfast" meat or making it all in a sandwich or wrap?

I'd probably replace one bowl of cereal with something like veggies and hummus or celery with peanut butter, or even veggies with cheese. You can also add calories by bulking up the soups you're making. Several of mine have peanut butter, cheese, or evaporated skim milk for richness, or a low calorie chili can be topped with sour cream or slices of avocado.

Default scrambled eggs

Hey - you might want to try switching the semi-skimmed milk for water in the scrambled eggs. I know that REDUCES the calorie content, but it makes for fluffier eggs! (Try it.) If you want to add some calories back in put a tiny amount of cheese in there. Or you can even cut the milk in half and add some water instead.
