Good day everyone!

This thread is for everyone!!!!! Originially, just those weighing at WW on Thursdays would stop by the chat, offer suggestions and support. Now, we weigh on different days and don't all go to meetings. Come on in and join the fun. :) :dizzy: :D

How are y'all doing this Saturday? It's cloudy and cool here.

Dee, do you still have ice?
Maureen, where are you????

I really :ink: :ink: :ink: last night. I know better than bake a cake---even a Sweet Rewards Betty Crocker one that I used applesauce instead of oil in. (Get that sentence? )
I made it for the family. I had 2 pieces. This morning, I woke up so bloated and yucky feeling.
It's on the treadmill for me today!

Have a great weekend.

Good Afternoon,

Hope everyone is doing well today. I skipped weigh in this week because of TOM. Figured I didnt' want to get discouraged. Yesterday, all I wanted to do was eat chips, salsa and have a margarita or 3. :) We ended up having Taco Bueno for supper. I was good and didn't any chips nor margaritas. I had a taco salad instead. You know I wanted them so bad that I could taste them. I knew that if I gave in I wouldn't be able to control myself.

The weather here is cool and cloudy. It's actually a dreary day. We still have some ice from our ice storm on Tuesday and Wednesday. It never stays more than a day. It's strange to still see it.

For the last 2 days, I haven't used my walking stick. I even ventured out on errands day without it. My knee is feeling so great!!!!! :D :D :D It's so nice to be able to walk without pain these days.

Have a good evening.

Tammy

Susan, I'm glad that your knee is feeling better. Mine have both been aching this weekend, not sure what that's all about. We went out for Mexican last night. Delicious! I had a shrimp quesadilla. It was the best thing that I've ever eaten at that restaurant, and I've never had anything bad there.

Tina, I rarely bake cakes because we never eat them. I guess that's a good thing. A few weeks ago I did make a pineapple angel food cake. It was good, but we ended up throwing quite a bit in the trash.

We have testing this week at school. Not looking forward to it. With 2nd graders, we read so much of it to them. With my coughing, it's going to be very interesting. I'll have water with me to help me get through it.

I can't get into the weigh-in thread. I'll try it one more time, then I'll give up for today.

Hi,
Tammy, we had testing on Friday. It was suppose to be Tuesday but we were out Tues & Wed. because of the weather. The kids were so wild on Friday!!!! I think testing is exhausting!!! Good luck with it.

Tina, Yum!!!! cake!!!!! I don't make it either. I'm not a big sweet eater unless it is candy. I love sour candies.

Hope ya'll have a great evening. Can you believe that we still have ice in our back yard? It will be gone tomorrow, but I can't believe that it has been there since Tuesday. :)

Tina

Hi,
I hope you teachers get all that testing done without any problems. I hope all the kids show up so you don't have make-ups. :)

Susan, I can't believe you still have ice. Oh, I like your picture of the bee.

Tammy, I've never had shrimp quesadillas. That sounds good!

I really blew the weekend. I had been doing so good drinking all my water. Yesterday, I had 3 diet drinks and today I just had 2 glasses of water. Oh well, tomorrow is a new day and I shall return to water gusseling.

It must have been cake week for all of us. I made a cake with my daughter the other day too. But only keep 1/2 of it and gave the other 1/2 to my folks.

Susan way to go on not useing your walking stick...it's great to hear that you are getting around so much better these days.

We still have some snow on the ground, but its turning into mush really fast :dizzy: which makes for yucky mud! Its suppose to be like 45 tomorrow so maybe it will all melt away and even dry up a bit.

Tina those 2 glasses of water today were a start in the right direction... and yes, tomorrow is a new day!!

Have a great week all...

Happy Fat Tuesday !!!
I think this day should be renamed.

I hope everyone is having a great day. I'm about to go have some 0 pt. veggie soup. Tonight, I'm fixing jambalaya w/Healthy Choice sausage. Hey, you've got to have Cajun food on Fat Tues.

I skipped this thread somehow...I need to go back to the beginning and check things out everyonce in a while and not rely on my e-mail to tell me y'all are posting. Tina cake does sound good Hey at least you used applesause!!! I know that bloating feeling **Isn't that a song~ oh yeah it isn't a bloating feeling :-)
Susan good for you to leave that walking stick behind!! How is testing going? My son is going to testing this week three days...a lot of school to miss. Boy it must be cold there to keep the ice around so long. My mil said the same thing she actually stopped running her vans (she drives people around that can't or doesn't drive for errands or to teh doc in Whichita Falls)
Tammy can we make shrimp Quis at home or is it one of those recipes that only restaurants can do? I apologize if I have already given you these recipes...I am forgetting who I gave what to...but hey I made that Taco SOup again last night...SO EASY and tastes great! Hey Tina any recipe for that jambalaya? Tina are you back on track? That is great for you to jump right back into it. Hey we all can not be perfect every day!!!
I am going to make another post with the recipes on it so you can copy ~ paste it on out of the computer with out my words!
DeeX what great will power to make a cake and then give half away....kudos to you!!! I understand that slush stuff...we get that every year here once things break up and the dogs stay at a perpetual soggy mess!!! kids too!! Well my little one is still not feeling well...high fever! Better go tend to him!! chat soon...

Howdy,
Well it was a day!!!!! :( I'm so glad it is over!! Adults can so much like children it isn't funny. At least with kids you know they have a reason.

I went to counseling yesterday. I really think it is going to help. I just feel like I need to get my head screwed on right. I deceided that I deserve it!

One of my family's friend's husband died unexpectedly. He was only 35. Our friend had not yet told her husband that she was pregnant with their second child. They were also in the process of buying a new house. Her family and my family have been friends since I was 5. It just breaks my heart.

Ok, enough about me... :)

Sherree, the receipes sound great!!! Can't wait to try them!

Tina, how about you send some of that soup up here once you get it made :)

Tammy, did you survive testing? Ours is over with until the end of April. Then we'll have 4 more days of it. BOO!!!

Dee, how is the weather? Still snowing??

Hope everyone has a good weighin! I'll let you know tomorrow how I do.

Tina

Happy Friday to All

Susan, I am so sorry about your friend's husband. It's good she has a friend like you to support her at this trying time.

I didn't go weigh yesterday. I just know I've regained the 3.5 pounds I'd taken off. I'm sooooooo mad at myself for letting that happen. I know the correct choices but just go ahead and eat, eat, eat. :p

I hope everyone will post soon!!!!!! I miss hearing from ya.

Your welcome for the recipes...they are all good. The cabbage is in that one recipe...I checked on my original to make sure I didn't mess up. I didn't know what you were talking about Fat Tues Tina until I heard it on some tv show the other day.... I was a chatholic for 30 years too....it is the day before Ash Wed right?
Susan I am soooo sorry for your friends loss. How earth shattering. Sometimes it is hard to see the logic in the Lord but as time goes by the Lord will reviel the reasoning. I will keep you and her in my prayers! Have a good weekend all!!!

Howdy All,

Hope everyone is having a good day. It's been a busy one but aren't they all? We are getting ready for Open HOuse on Thursday. It will be nice to have Spring Break next week. Everyone else are here is off this week. Of course, I'm going to San Antonio to spend time with the family. I haven't been home since I had my surgery so I'm excited to be going down.

I'm doing good. Went to counseling today. It was good. I'm really enjoying going. :)

Ok, I need to get better about posting. I've missed everyone. Ya'll are such great support.

Good to hear from you Susan...
have a good time on your vacation! Our spring break is next week too!
have a good day!

Tammy
03-13-2003, 09:06 PM
Spring break should start today and end in May in a nice warm tropical paradise! OK I'll stop dreaming! Our spring break consists of the Thurs and Fri. before Easter and the Monday after Easter. If we miss any more school and have to make up days, that's when it will be done.

The kids and I are all so glad that testing is over. We did all of ours last week in the mornings. The other grades 3-5 stretched theirs out into this week. Our music, PE, and art schedules have been all messed up because of that and the kids want to get back to normal. Tomorrow my class has no breaks except their lunch and a 20 minute recess. I'm planning to show a Reading Rainbow video to give them some relaxation.

auntie
03-14-2003, 09:53 PM
Well, I'm out for Spring Break. It could not have come a day too soon. We have off Good Friday but now have to make up the day after Easter due to our snow day. Then we will have to make up the other day in June.

I'm exhausted. It's been a long week!!!!

Tammy, take care of yourself!!

Tina
03-14-2003, 11:44 PM
Happy Friday,

Tammy, you've been sick way too long! I don't like it that your cough is back. That doesn't seem good at all. Please get some rest!!!!! We don't want you to end up in the hospital.

Susan, I'm so happy for you. You're on Spring Break and you're going home to see your family. Have a wonderful trip and enjoy some Mexican food for me! If you happen to go past the Barn Door, wave at it for me. I don't know when we'll get back there.

We are having great weather now. They predict 80 degrees tomorrow and Sunday! We're going to work in our yard tomorrow. I've got to get my veggie garden ready to plant. It's time to put out the tomato plants.

Sheree, thanks for putting up new moose photos for us.

Sis, how are you doing?

Dee, I miss you. Please post.

Maureen, I know you are out there.
Kady, how is Canada?
Reina, are you feeling better now?
Cynthia, I hope we haven't lost you!

Everyone have a great weekend.

Hello everyone,

Yes, Tina, I am feeling much better this week. I hate when I get sick, because it puts me out of commission for over 2-3 weeks. I haven't worked out since March 1st. I have to get myself back into the grove of the workout world again.

Sheree, thanks for the recommendation of the 0 pts soup. I didnt' even think of it, so I decided to make it this week to get me through the slump! we will see how it goes!

Well, I am so looking forward to breaking down the 190 barrier. It has been such a long time since I have been out of the 190's. I am 190.4 right now, so I am really looking forward to hitting 189, maybe 188 this week! It would be a real milestone for me.

Hope you all have a great week!

Sis

Tina,
I am doing well. I am trying very hard to reach my 100 lb mark. I have 2.5 lbs to go. I was VERY good last week but stayed the same. Then yest. TOM showed up. Maybe t his week. :) I will keep my fingers crossed anyways. Hope all is well with you and everyone else here. Have a great day! Sis :D

Tina
03-18-2003, 03:36 PM
happy Tuesday,

It sounds like everyone is gung ho!!!!!
I hope we all have great losses this week.

I'm tired right now. I got up at 6:15 this morning to fix my husband's breakfast and take him downtown to work. (He usually rides the bus.) He's going to be a witness in a trial. I wanted him to have a super nutricious breakfast and get there without messing up his suit on a bus.
This woman that used to work under his supervision is suing. She was let go back in 1992 ! The case is just now coming to trial.

take care,
Tina

Hey ladies...
Oh Tina...I understand those getting up blues...I had to begin doing that to get used to it to take the kids to school. I then decied to get up early to work out so my goal for a while was to get up at 5:15 and walk on the tread mill But since I work out at the Gym 3 days a week I am doing things a bit differently.
We enjoy the 0 pt soup especially since you can shift things around a bit to change the flavor...chicken broth...beef broth...vegi broth!! Add different veggies...as long as they are 0 pts...corn is 1/2 cup 1 pt. ANyway We have been battling the sick blues too....my son woke up with fever thing again today...I pray that does not go around again.. I am always reminded of the news the other night about the Asia flu thing that is killing people...it starts out with a fever... UGHH! HOpe fully it is NOT in AK!!
Kudos to you Reina Mia to break that barrier...I would love to get below teh 200 lb one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was very frustrated last week wtih the stay the same thing...but Kady shared wtih me that working out right before I go weigh in was probably harming my results...to try not this week adn see if the scale is in my fav.

Hey anyone....
Does TOM cause weight gain teh week during~the week prior or the week after....for anyone? I have not noticed a trend as of yet...just would like to get it in my head if it may cause soemthing...due this week! So that may mess up WI on Thursday.

SIS you can do it.......100lb gone....you can be a BIG LOSER!!! I am so encouraged by you!

I was reading on WW.com about this lady taht finally lost 100lb and hit goal but she said it took 4 months to loose the last 5 pounds...
Hey another general question for whom ever...where does the problem lie when you hear about the people that do accomplish the large weight loss then gain it all back and then loose it all off again then gain it back!! My leader is always speaking of how awful that is for you to do to your body...and I know it should be a life style change but how logical is it to say you will NEVER eat this or that in excess again...jsut pizza for example? What do you guys think?
Well I went to a back class today...learned tons...I am thankful for joining WW when I did and drinking all this water it helps my back and I didn't realize how all that is tied in together...eating right too...funny how a little knowledge helps..
Well hope all has a GREAT TUESDAY...
Think of me tonight when I am out to eat with the ladies of my hubbies work to eat right and not blow it... I think I am going to do dinner before I go then only drink coffee...
Hey one more thing.....
coffee...do you think coffee and water are fighting a battle in our bodies... they said today taht the stimulant of caffine is not good (well we all knew that) but all the water I am drinking is going right through me and the coffee is ruining things... is that reaching too much? Before I change to decaf...I think I will get head aches!!
ok now I am leaving you for now....bye!

Howdy,

Pat and I got up early and drove out to Six Flags. His band was playing at 10:00 am. Only to get there, stand around for an hour and to have it cancelled due to the rain. That happened to them last year too. Now the sun is out!! go figure!!

I hope everyone is doing well. It's nice to see so many posts in the last last day or so. I'm doing well. I'm off to San Antonio tomorrow. Can't wait to play with my babies!!!! Of course this aunt thinks they are the greatest and will spoil them rotten!!

Tina, how are you? Did you get to work out in your garden?

Sheree, love the new picture. You'll do great at dinner. Hope your husband is ok, I know that is stressful. I can't even remember yesterday, don't know how you remember 10 years ago.

Sis, welcome back. We've missed you. You can do it!!!!!

Reina, what was wrong? Glad you are feeling better!!!

Tammy, Girl where are you????? You better be resting and getting well. If not Tina and I are on our way to make you :)

Have a wonderful day!!

Sheree,
To answer you question about TOM, I gain the week of and then I can also gain the middle of the month. I know it's weird but this is what I've noticed. I think the mid month gain is becasue I crave salt. I try to flush it out with more water.

Sheree~AK
03-18-2003, 09:40 PM
I understand and thank you for your input... I have never noticed th amount of sodium I have been intaking somaybe that needs to be watched...I am trying to make this is as easy as possible...weighing things out doesn't bother me too much actually soemtimes when you weigh things out you get more for the points!!! Thanks again and hope you are having a good week!

Sis
03-19-2003, 04:31 PM
Thanks for the encouragment Sheree and Susan. I don't feel like I'm going to make it this week though. TOM :( All bloated & stuff. To answer your question Sheree, I notice a gain sometimes the week before and week of. It depends on how much salt I crave. I will hit that mark though. :) Have a great week all....Sis :D

Sheree~AK
03-19-2003, 04:40 PM
I am one step behind you today SIS!! You are right it will come keep focused and you can make that goal. Thank you for your input on my question! I just liek to know htings...well chat soon...

Okay people!!!!!! It's too quiet around this thread!!!!! :D

How is everyone doing this fine Saturday? I bet most of us have been glued to the TV watching the war. Isn't it amazing what we are able to see this time! I would not want to be one of those newspeople, though. I heard that several were injured and one was killed today.

I'm still trudging on trying to lose some weight. The scales aren't in my favor; however : the slacks I bought 2 weeks ago fit great now. When I bought them, they were tight (got them anyway :) ). That's a positive thing, isn't it!!!!!

Cynthia, Kady, Maureen, Dee-----where are y'all these days?????

Tammy, are you still coughing? I hope not.
Sheree, any moose in your yard this weekend?
For those who haven't looked at the "weigh-in thread", Sheree has lost her first 10%!!!!!

I didn't mention everyone by name so forgive me!!!

It seems like when I can get into one of the threads, I can't get into the other one the same day. Is that weird or what? I haven't been on-line as much lately either, so I'm not trying to get in every day.

Yes, I'm still coughing. I go back to the doctor on Wednesday. Antibiotic is gone, still a few more puffs on this inhaler, and I still have the night time cough medicine. It does help me sleep through the night, so that has been a blessing. I keep over the counter cough medicine with me at school, but it really doesn't seem to help. Not sure where the doctor will want to head next with me. I'd like to go to a tropical paradise somewhere!!!! lol

We've been watching quite a bit of CNN the past few days. We know quite a few young men over there, so it has been nervewracking. We know at least one of them is in special operations and has been in Iraq from the beginning. One other one is there now. The others we think are still in Kuwait, but no one knows for sure. Keep praying for all of them.

Take care everyone. I need to journal!!!!

Hi everyone

Even though I'm usually here everyday-I haven't had too much to contribute. Since I was here last I've started a new job. I really like it(I've been there 4 weeks)-I'm doing the bookkeeping for this metal salvage yard. I'm trying to decide at this very minute wether I should call my old manager & see if I can get some parttime work with them. Even though I didn't take a cut in salary my other half has been unemployed for a while now & his unemployment insurance has run out. I've got some major decisions to make. I'm feeling very resentful right now. I'm choked that I even have to think of getting a second job while Geoff waits to hear about a job interview etc & on top of him my 20 yr old son is back home with us & doesn't seem to be looking too hard for any employment.

Needless to say I haven't been following program but have managed to get quite a lot of walking in.

Thanks for letting me vent & I'll be here more often

take care

Howdy everyone!

I had a blast with my family!!! The kids are the cutest!!! I spoiled them as much as they spoiled me!!! I never know who has more fun :)

Sheree, I'm so proud of you!!

Tammy, wish you were ALL better. I'll go with you to that island!!!!

Tina, I'm right there with you on losing weight. I did try in San Antonio but I did break down several times. I got to see everyone!!!! Of course that's a bunch when you come from a large family. Last night we pulled out the old movies of us. The kids kept saying, where is the sound? They got bored pretty quick but we loved it.

Maureen, You need to take care of yourself. We are always here for you and you can vent anytime. Glad you like your new job.

I'm going to start swimming tomorrow evening at the community center. I don't get to go back to Curves for another month but I'm ready to start doing something.

Please pray for our soliders!! I hope they have a safe and speedy return. We are lucky to live in America!

Where Is Everybody?????
We haven't been this "dead" in ages!!!!!!!!!! :(

Is everyone stuck in front of their TV watching the war?

I've just come in from working in the yard and I'm dirty and hot.
We have a small amount of yard between our garage and fence. The grass had died during the winter. Well, our neighbor had a water leak & didn't know it. Now, our ground is MUD/MUSH!:o
(the neighbor turned off the water) Today, I put additional top soil down and leveled the area. Tomorrow, I'll go buy St. Augustine grass when the nursery gets in their load. It'll be easier putting down the grass than the work I did today.

Needless to say, I haven't weighed today.

Let's hear from ya.

I've been wondering the same thing!!!!! I miss everyone!! I'm tired of seeing about the war. It breaks my heart!!!!

Tina,
I need to work out in the gardens too. Don't have too much fun working. If you get bored you can always come work in mine.

Well it seems I've stayed the same this week. :( I know, it's better than a gain but I don't quite see why I gained last week. Oh well that's ok I'll just keep on trying. Hope everyone else had good luck at the scales....Have a great day...Sis :D

It was 72 here yesterday, today it is in the upper 20's. Brrrrr. Tim has been out working in the yard. The Chemlawm guys are supposed to come this week. He's getting old leaves and branches cleaned up. Don't want to fertilize anything but the grass!

I think it's time to get off the computer and go read the paper. Maybe a nice nap????

Well, I came back from my the boats with nothing. I did get my ears pierced a second time. I feel like I'm going through a middle life crisis :) I've always wanted to have them done. My brother's girlfriend's mom did them for me. Pat just rolled his eyes when I got home. :D

A piece of advice for everyone, NEVER cook soup in the microwave and use a hot pad to take it out unless the bowl is LEVEL. If not and you pour it down your wrist, you receive a pretty serious burn. I did that Friday night. I have never hurt so bad in my life!!! :( My brother ordered me a prescription for burns. I have a huge blister and several small ones. I learned a lesson.

My food has been good. I can't wait to weigh this week. I'll keep you posted. Hope everyone is having a good week.

Hi there!!!!!
It's quiet around here lately. :(:(:(:(:(

I've been really sick since last Friday. It's some kind of bug going around.
Tammy-- I can comiserate with you. I don't have bronchitis but feel like it. I was up half the night coughing. This decongestant the doctor gave me also breaks up the phlegm. I'm sure I kept my husband up, too. Although, the sweet thing told me he was wide awake anyway. :)
This is not the way to lose weight, being sick. But, I can't taste a thing!!! Since last Friday, I've lost 5 pounds .
I am sooooo sick of watching TV. My eyes are too weak to do my needlepoint.

Susan, I'm glad you had a good time over the weekend.
You really should've brought us all some money, though.

How is everyone else doing?

Tina - Sorry to hear you've been sick. Hope you're feeling better.
Susan - Good advice. Done that once or twice myself, though not nearly as severly. Hope you're burn is better soon.
As for myself the scales have been playing with me this week. One day showing almost a total of a 7 lb gain!! Now today I am back to the same as last week. Which is ok. I think I figured out some of it. I have been doing a lot of walking this week end and this week. Over the week end one day we walked 2.2 miles then the next day walked 6 miles. Missed Monday walked 2.2 miles yesterday and 2.2 so far today. (unless DD will walk with me later then it will be more) So anyways I thought maybe my leg muscles may be retaining water from all that walking. I heard somewhere that your muscles will do that at first. What do you guys think??? Anyways hope everyone has a great week....Take care....Sis :D

Susan, I hurt just thinking of that burn!! Take care.

Tina, quit coughing! That's what my menfolk keep telling me. Actually, my cough isn't nearly as bad as it was. Now when I'm coughing though, I'm coughing up stuff. Aren't you all thrilled to know that??????

Sis, I don't know about the muscles holding water. Might be something to check out. Good for you on the walking though!

I went to Curves today after school. Last night I did weights and some exercises here at home.

It was so nice here today. Could it be spring? Or will it be cold and snowy again in a couple days?

Good luck on the scales this week ladies!!

Happy Sunday to Everyone---

It's so hard for me to believe that so many people are still having snow and ice. It blows my mind because we have had 80 degrees for the past couple of days. Now, it's going to cool off some with this front coming through right now.

Ladies---I feel better:lol: :dizzy: :D :):):) I'm not fully healed but am doing lots better. Tammy , I'm not coughing much now. Most of the phlegm is gone.
I lost a total of 6 pounds!!!!! I don't think it was a very good or easy way to do it. Now, I just have to keep it off. This week, I'll slowly get back to walking and build myself back up.

How is everyone doing? Susan, hope your burns are healing.

I'm right there with you Tina. It was gorgeous here today. As a matter of fact, I worked outside for part of the day. Just what I needed to do with my allergies. I have had a sore throat for the last 2 days because of them.

Tina, not a way to lose weight girl!!!! Glad you are feeling better.

Tammy, how many weeks of school do you have left? We are on the down hill stretch.

Sheree, do you still have snow on the ground?

My burn is much better. It finally scabbed up and pealed. I'm going to have a nice scar. Sure wish tomorrow was another day off. Don't want to go to school!!!!

Have a good evening.

It's Friday and time to party on down!!!!:dizzy: ;) :o :D
What are y'all doing this weekend? Is anyone celebrating the end of Spring Break?

I'm definitely tired of staying indoors and hope to get outside some. I'm feeling so much better now. (knock on wood)
There are several movies out in the theater now. I wouldn't mind seeing the new Jack Nicholson one about "anger management."

I think I'll cook some crispy baked chicken tonight. It's in one of the National Heart Assoc. cookbooks. You dip your chicken breast strips in skim milk and then in crushed corn flakes. Put them on your "Pamed" cookie sheet and bake. They have a great flavor!

Okay, it's time for someone else to talk.

Hey it is my turn...
that chicken sounds wonderful! I will have to try it on the gang.
Hey I am down 28.6 NOW!!!! I had a 4.6 loss this week. I am so excited. I don't know if it is because I was due for a good loss or if changing to salad and 0 point soup every day for lunch was a factor! We will see this week.
It is my hubbies b-day today...so have already gone out to breakfast was good and ate some fruit for lunch because we are going out to dinner. I think I would like to go see the Anger Management movie too...Are movies expensive where you are? We pay over 6 here! I like to rent! Then I don't have to pay a babysitter 5 an hour on top of the pricey ticket but the movie setting is a cool thing too! Go figure. I do pop my own popcorn and bring it along do you do that too. Tina?
We have weather in teh 50's lately so teh snow is melting!!!!!!!!!
It is slushy now and really wet. Praying for a freeze after a few days of warm weather so the mosquitoes are killed off. They were awful last year. Well better go check on the rest of the family! I will go over to the WI thread to see how things are there...See ya...

Hope your day with hubby goes great Sheree.
Our weather here the last 3 days is beautiful! We actually hit 70 degrees yesterday!! WOOHOO!!! And sunny too! I love it! It seems like its been so long since its been nice. My walking has been going great. Yesterday I got in 4.4 miles and the 2 days before that 2.2 each. I'm hoping that will help me get to that 100 lb mark. I also want to lose 10.5 by June 2, when my middle one graduates. Oh yea, I almost forgot. I went shopping yesterday with dd for spriing clothes for her, and I decided I needed a dress for a dinner coming up for the school, I picked up a 20 figuring thats what I had gotten last time but I saw one I liked in an 18 also so I thought what the heck. The 20 was too big and the 18 fit perfect! I was so tickled. :D :D Hubby liked it too ;) . Anyways, enough rambling for me now....Take care all....Sis :rollin:

Good job Sis on the new dress size....:cb: :cb:

I went into K-Mart yesterday..it is going out of business...they had some big sizes left with 90% off. I got a pair of coulots for .18 cents they are size 20 and fit pretty good. I could use to loose a few more inches around the wast then I can TUCK something in....but I am down from a size 24! i have not tucked anything in in years!!!
Hey that is not a too far out goal of June 2nd you can do it! keep up the walking...do you have videos of to work out too? Just to mix up the work out! I find that helps the or that works for me is to increase my time if I have been doing the tread mill for 30 minutes for a while then I jump to 45 minutes same thing for the cross country machine at teh gym I am up to 4 miles and 40 minutes...that is alot for me...then I go into the sauna for 5 minutes....
Well have a good weekend all.....

Wow on the smaller dress size!!! Woo Hoo!!!!!

One of the 1st grade teachers has lost a bunch of weight and has a whole new wardrobe. She asked me the other day when I was going to go shopping for new clothes. I told her that I didn't think that I had lost enough yet. She informed me that the back of my pants are so baggy that I look like I'm wearing a loaded diaper!!!! She loves to tease, but that made me feel good (I think!). lol

I know my clothes are fitting looser, but I'm afraid I'll be disappointed if I go shopping and can't fit into the next smaller size. Does that make any sense???

I may go shopping for a new dress for Easter though. I've had all of my dresses for 3 or more years. I rarely buy new ones because I like the ones that I have.

Tina

Let me add my WOW, too. :)
Going down a dress size is a great incentive.

Tammy, don't be afraid to try on new clothes. You will surely be surprised --- pleasantly. And, tell us all about that new dress you will buy.

Tammy, I know what you mean on the baggy clothes thing. When I finally decided to order new uniforms at work I think I went down about 5 sizes, so you can imagine how baggy they really were. I had been teased about wearing clown pants. I think they were right. LOL It will be a while before I order new sizes at work again, I figure if they are comfortable and don't fall off they work, right? :D Anyways have a great day....Sis
