Good morning chickies. It's a cold morning. I didn't walk yesterday but need to get out there and move today. I'll wait until it warms up a bit.

What are your plans for the week? I'm helping my sis decorate her bathroom.

Thanks for the new pages, Pam.

Decorating sounds like fun. I'm doing the same this week that I normally do: tap, gym, political work focussed on a mayor's campaign right now.

Oh, I don't think I told you all that we were successful in getting a 120 day moratorium on the city approving permits for gas drilling in the city limits, while a task force works on new regulations.

My eating was too lax yesterday, so I'm avoiding the scales! :eek:

Busy day today and worked hard at the gym. I have tap in the morning and then we are going to perform for the residents of a nursing home before lunch.

I'm here. Had an appointment with my cardiologist this morning. He wants me to walk or do some other form of movement 30 minutes a day 5 times a week. Would you believe he thinks I need to lose weight? He told me I would probably shoot better (and for more years) if I got some weight off. goes on.

Rhonda, congrats on your hard work paying off and slowing down the drilling. We are so tired of seeing wells everywhere.

Pam, thank you for the new pages. Curtis and I did the Leslie Sansone tape this morning. It's too wet out to walk.

My trainer says 150 minutes a week of intense exercise is necessary. intense means 80-85% of maximum heart rate. Find that by subtracting your age from 220, or look it up on-line. :hug:

hey ladies i am still about i have not been will with my depression and really stressed with university. I am back on anti depresents and im not taking to them to well only been a week but thy are making me drowsy :(. HOPE YOUR ALL WELL EMS XXX

Sorry for being MIA Yesterday, went to the cemetery, placing a valentine plant on my Leo's grave,as I won't be home today on Valentines Day got to go to a party that one of the woman from my church is giving for single ladies.

Went out shopping this morning for my low carb bread,and I couldn't find it anywhere. Than I went to a small grocery store in town and I found 1 loaf. While I was trying to find the bread I saw the delivery man for Pepperidge Farm,and asked if He could help me.Told him I was afraid that P/F was going to cancel this bread. He told me it a very popular bread and they were going to keep it on the roster.TG I told him and I bought 2 loaves,asked if they were going to have some more low carb bread like rolls or even rye he told me that the company did away with the Whole Wheat but will have the 7 grain instead.

PAM-Thanks for the pages,we 're getting warmer again but now they say by the end of the week. I haven't walked either,or using the bike,I guess I got lazy have to get out of this mode if I want to lose again.

SANDRA-I think my doctor will tell me that also. Its so hard to get the weight off when you get older. I told my DD 10 years ago to start early than I did. I was doing so good being 159 in Oct 2011 and than In Nov I gained 20 lbs for on apparent reason. Now he tell me I might be a diabetic. Hope that's not the reason that why I'm low carbing.

RHONDA-Reading your post that a lot of exercising, too much for me to handle. I guess I have to start slowly before I can reach where you are.

EMS-Sorry to hear the stress of the university is bring you on anti depression pills hope that your will be off of them soon.

Good Morning Chicks and Happy Belated Valentines Day! Jim and I are well. We are on day 3 of Doctor's visits. Today is my annual with one of my Specialists and I'm expecting all to be well.

I'm so glad that you are all doing well. I'm jealous of Rhonda's meal since we did not have a fancy VD dinner at all. We are saving it for date night.

Here is where we went. Eat your heart out! It is about 5 minutes from our house. It's pricey and we've been about 4 times, with plans to go more often.

Last night we had:


phyllo pastry with feta, olives and sauce

Roast tomato soup with crab crouton

Heart of palm and artichoke salad

beef tenderloin with Jarlsberg potato au gratin and asparagus

Coeur a la creme (goat cheese, cream cheese, and whipped cream) with hot fudge truffle and raspberries and raspberry sauce.

It was SOOOOOOO good!!!!

Rhonda, it sounds yummy. We shared a cheeseburger at Kincaid's in Weatherford.

I am still doing my 30 min per day. So far so good.

Ems, it's good to see you here. I am wishing you the best of recovery from your depression.

Got to go. I'm subbing 3 days this week (began today) and I have lots to do.

Good Morning Ladies:)

Going to get my new glasses next week,I will take a photo of me wearing them on the avatar. Had to go back to the grocery store to return the decaf coffee I bought, I wanted the instant kind but absentmindedly I pick up the drip percolator one.

RHONDA-Glad that you had a good time in that restaurant,The menu looks delish.

SANDRA-Your are going great with exercising 30 mins a day I have to start up again as I have been lacking this past week.

Have a great day, going to see if I can walk up to my mailbox and than to the street to get some walking done is so beautiful out it would be as sin to stay indoors.

I've got the gym soon, then taking little great nieces to art classes. These little girls are so cute and being with them is so cheering. We might go see the GKs tomorrow if it's not raining.

Being careful about food today after extravagances of Tuesday :lol:

For various reasons the little girls didn't go to art today so I didn't get my weekly visit with them to hear their sweet chatter. Oh well, next week.

I had a good workout at the gym. In the last 11 days, I've been on the elliptical for 9 of them. :faint:

good things are happening here.. Found a house I love and the guy that wants this house wants to close faster to get the current rates.
I am up late trying to get the numbers to work without having my land sold first. Meeting with financial guy tomorrow. Hoping he can help me figure this out.

I'm going to the gym later to work with the trainer on agility....jumping around, I think.

Hi Ladies:)

Nothing new, Looks like we are going to have some rain this afternoon. So I'm not worried as I did my errand this morning. Would you believe I was almost of toilet paper and I had to rush out to Walmart to get some. Never did that before.

RHONDA-Didn't get out yesterday to walk and it looks like rain this afternoon so I won't be going out this afternoon neither. Hope to do some kind of indoor exercising this afternoon or tonight while I'm watching tv.

NANCY:balloons:So Happy to hear that your going to sell you house and that you found a new one. :balloons: That's the best news ever. Now things will go up hill for you.

I spent the day talking to My financial guy, real estate attorney, my buyer and the realtor today.. I may have large numbers floating in my dreams tonight.

But I think things are going to work out..We have an offer almost final and are waiting on a few questions to be answered by the selling agent..Then the
back and forth stuff will begin..

I will post a link to the pictures after we have a contract..

Good Morning Ladies:)

Sun is out I might think about walking along the beach some time today. I walked to the mailbox a 10 min walk that through out my back. Can't do the hills and valleys that we have in our road. The beach as a straight and narrow path and it easier walking there.

Didn't sleep well again last night,don't understand this pattern as I go to bed at 11 and sleep until about 2 and than I lay there for the rest of the night. Going to take a sleeping pill tonight and see if I can break this pattern.

Weight in today and now for the third week I maintained or stalled. Have to find out the reason other than exercising,why the scale is moving downward.

RHONDA-Hope that JOJO is doing fine,I really don't know how to use the PM om any of the boards I go to.

NANCY-That's good news that everything is working in your favor, can't wait to see the pictures.

Good Morning Chicks! I'm so glad you're all doing well and things are working out in all aspects of life.

I'm stuck in a Doctor/test warp. Had a CT scan last week ordered by the Nephrologist without contrast as a routine yearly test to check on my kidneys and the stone I am "hosting". I'm not allowed to have contrast because it is so hard on the kidneys. Well, they saw a 1.1 cyst or something.....not sure where...and I have to go back for another scan with contrast so they can be sure that it is nothing scary. Of course, I'm fretting like crazy because that's just how I am. And.....I have to take 4 doses of some foul smelling liquid which has antioxidants to protect my kidneys from the barium. Of course, I shall dutifully take it but it is all causing so much stress and dread. I tell you all of this to ask for your good thoughts and maybe a prayer or two if you are so inclined. The test is next Tuesday and I guess I won't know results until probably Friday.

She says she thinks it's probably nothing but would kick herself if she ignored it and it was something.

On a related note....I'm still up the 10 pounds that I gained back when I became unable to exercise because of the spurs. I'm thankful that I haven't gained any more and I continue to eat well enough to hang in there at that level. The third cortisone shot seems to have worked well and I'll continue with PT probably for a couple more weeks.

Geez.....I should be healthier than this at 55ish!

Sorry that you're having such a difficult time Vickie. I do so hope it gets better for you soon.

DH and I just had a chili burger at Braum's. It was so good, and worth the calories and fat. I'm still OK with fat as percentage of today's food, if I don't eat any more of it. Salad and protein will be the choice tonight!

Okay, it's time to do some bragging. I shot my highest score EVER! today at a tournament in Grand Prairie. Next week is Indoor State in Waco. I'm looking forward to competing and, hopefully, setting a new state record. My eating's been all right but not good enough for me to lose. Monday will let me know if I lost that famous 1 pound per week. :lol:

Rhonda and Vickie, thank you. I am feeling so "pumped" about Indoor State coming up this week. Nationals is the next week. National Southern Sectionals the next. Then indoor season's over.

I got dressed to go to the gym, then changed my mind about going out. I did two exercise routines on DVDs that I have, including one World's Biggest Losers that I had not done before. They were good. Now, I'm going to do 20 minutes on our recumbent bike and call it a day for exercising.

It's been really dreary here, but I see the sun peeking through the clouds. :dance:

I'm excited for you Sandra. Is it Waco next week? I can't make it because we have the GKs on Friday and a political fund raiser here Saturday night (Mayor's race).

Rhonda, you're more dedicated than I am. Curtis and I are on the recliner sofa watching old movies. We'll be shooting National Southern Sectionals at Cinnamon Creek Ranch in Roanoke March 10. You're welcome to come then if you'd like. The tournament will begin at 10 AM. We'll shoot about 2.5 hours. Then we'll repeat at the same time on Sunday the 11th. This tournament is being held at several locations in the South and scores will be combined to see who wins. We won't know if we won till we see scores posted online.
