Hi, guys.

My brother recently started an Atkins-type eating plan (after years of low-fat/high-carb eating). I was wondering if there were any good low-carb bars that might be good for him . . . I think he misses the "snacky" type things that he's used to eating.

TIA!

LC products stall some people, but I sure know the good ones! :D

Atkins Advantage Bars are Good.

Pur De Light LC Chocolate is awesome!

the ADvantage low carb bars from EAS are excellent especially the cookies and cream and the lemon cheese cake. but they are addicting and can stall you.

I think they're all gross and disgusting. but lots of people like them, so don't listen to me!!!! your brother will just have to try them until he finds one he likes.

Hey there,

I've tried tons of LC bars. In my opinion, they're all gross. I think its the texture. Sorry, but good luck to him.

Looks like I'm in the minority here:) I love low carb bars and find they make sticking to my eating plan fairly easy. True, a couple of times I stalled after long periods of eating 2 bars daily, but after I cut back to only one a day for awhile, my loss resumed.

The best low carb bars are:

1) Atkins Advantage: Chocolate Mocha Crunch; Cookies and Creme; Chocolate Decadence
2) Keto: Cookies and Creme; Chocolate Peanut Butter
3) Pure De-lite: Dark Chocolate is my favorite, but all their bars are good!
4) Carb Solutions: Chocolate Cappuccino Crisp (most of their bars are good)

You can get most of these through netrition.com and I also indulge myself with low carb bread, which I order through lowcarbnexus.com. There's a Cheeter's Toaster Bread (white) which is 3g per slice....and they are small slices, but they are excellent!! The taste is very close to that of my old favorite, potato bread.
