Helloooo February - it's gonna be great.

Heather

I'm keeping my same eating plan in place: less than 1800 calories, at least 5 servings of fruit/veg. I need to up the exercise, but right now I don't know how well I'll be able to add it...

Here comes Day 1!!

I'm keeping my wobbly calorie cap, riding to work on my bike and no vending crud is a given.

I had a great dream last night that the scale said 211.

Hugs to all my lifeboaters!

I'm going to try to replace at least 2 carb points a day with dairy or protein. This is going to be tough for me. Think I'll get my life jacket on now.

I'm sticking to my calorie limit, walking daily, and mixing in kettlebell 3-4 times this week. I am also trying to avoid eating out, but if I do, keep it within the day's calories. Good luck everyone!

I will be keeping my calories the same but making sure I get in all my veggies daily. I will limit carbs to only healthy ones. I will drink more water. I will exercise...Today!!!

The excess calories I had during the last 10 days didn't hurt me too badly -- I made it to 299 as of this morning. So I'm not going to keep trying for the 1990 calorie goal I had last time. Instead I'll do 2150 and go from there.

1. 2150 calories/day (average)
2. 64 oz water/day
3. 25 minutes exercise/day (average)

Day 1 and ... I ate too much!!!

I was very busy today and didn't have time to write everything down. When the dust settled, I was a little over today.

But, on the plus side, I did not cave to stress, did not just choose to overeat, and still recorded everything in the end. I just miscalculated. To punish myself now would just be silly. So, I'll take it as a good day with a splash in the boat, and move on to Day 2!

Hi Folks......have missed you all...............I haven't been around much the last 10 days but I have been doing well and keeping dry. The numbers are going down and I saw 319 this week :carrot: . It has been many years since I saw the teens. As of this morning am at 315.6 - so close to 299 I can't believe it.

Stranded - Congrats on reaching 299! It must feel great to see that 3 drop off the scale.

At this point I seem to be doing well with the calorie counting but I have dropped off on the exercise so for the next 10 days I will concentrate on adding exercise back into my days.

Have a great day everyone!

Awesome, stranded, I absolutely cannot wait to get to 299. Yesterday was another good day - got my exercise in and ate within my calories. Saturday marks one week on plan, which is actually a milestone as I haven't been able to put a week together in awhile. Thankfully, something changed this time around.

I think my roommates and I are going to hike the Hollywood sign trail Saturday - which is like a neat way to celebrate and also burn some extra calories in anticipation of Super Bowl snacking.

Have a great day, all.

Safe and dry - took my mom out to lunch for her 84th birthday for pirogies - even with that came in right on target calorie wise!

Plan in place for day 3.

Whoa, ladies, where did yesterday go? I was POP yesterday, just wasn't here. And POP again today.

I haven't been feeling great, so I'm not going to push myself on exercise for this 10. If I exercise great, but if not, okay. On the other hand, the scale is FINALLY down a little, yay.

The plan for these 10 days is just 1800 calories, at least one veggie a day, push the water, and I'm going to try to avoid animal fat and keep my fats to the good kind.

Hey ladies! Sorry I didn't post too much in our last segment. I got extremely ill and was bed ridden for a week. I must admit I snacked SO MUCH, but on the plus side, I'm only up a pound and a half. I'd say that's doable and easy to correct. Today was a great day, I stayed well under my limit. Plan in place for tomorrow!

Goals are the same: 1800 calories, all my water, and biggest goal: adding exercise! :carrot:

Thanks guys! 299 was a nice goal, I'm glad I made it, but it was a lot harder than expected.

Yesterday I was not OP with anything, I was definitely in the water. Today I've been OP with everything, even calories. It's amazing how much easier calorie counting is when you have the proper food in the house, ha ha.

Was dry yesterday, but the princess tummy was upset and finicky. All vitamins consumed, no vending, daily calories on track and rode my bike to work all week. TOM is due Saturday.

Looking forward to longer days and more sunshine. I'm so very sensitive to lack of sunlight.

Got a little wet yesterday. I was up well past my bedtime finishing an article, and I was so hungry I almost turned into Teen Wolf. I ate a little more than I wanted for my snack, but I didn't binge. Ended up a couple hundred calories over my daily limit.

Scale today says I'm down 1.4, so I was actually hungry. Thankfully, I haven't lapsed into "f**k it" mode, which usually happened when I had a slight detour or unexpected eating event.

Things learned: it's okay to eat when you're starving, staying up late is the devil, and I've finally learned to forge ahead after missteps. Here's to drying off!

Riley, glad you are on the mend. I comfort eat when I'm sick, mostly salty soup things. Hang in there!! Let yourself heal. The one thing I've learned on these forums is that you can't move forward if you don't let yourself heal after an illness.

Bridgett, yup! Another very good thing I've learned here. Not only are you gonna get wet periodically, but sometimes soaked. That doesn't null and void everything. Big dry floofy towels that are just out of the drier are the best, right?

Lifeboaters, congrats on your successes! Dunno what I'd do without you.

Hi all... not certain whether I'm POP or not today. Ate two restaurant meals, and the second one was particularly difficult to calorie count. If I'd skipped the bread, I'd be pretty confident I was under my calorie limit, but since I didn't, I'm not quite sure... Still, I wasn't way off track or anything, so I'll call today dry.

Happy weekend all!

Stayed dry yesterday - ate within my calories and exercised. This morning me and my roommates went and hiked the Hollywood sign trail at Griffith Park in LA. All I can say is I made it to the top. It was really hard, though. At first I tried to stay at their pace, and finally just let them go ahead. I pushed myself and made it, which I'm proud of - while at the same time pissed that it was so difficult for me. It was a good motivator in that I want to be in better shape for that sort of thing. I'm pretty sure like 300 old women and children passed me. :(

On the plus side, it will never be that hard again! It also had spectacular views and was a great way to start my weekend. My feet and quads are a little sore (it was basically winding up a mountain), but I'm alive. :smug:

Judy - drier just buzzed - towels are warm and fluffy - grab one!

Bridget - what a wonderful hike - might put that on my bucket list.

No one else showed up for water class this morning so I got 70 minutes of personal training. Not often I sweat in the water.

POP today - tomorrow there is a firm plan in place for the super bowl which includes no snacks.

I'm seriously lucky that I don't care for the Super Bowl, because snacks at sports parties are a huge huge huge weakness of mine.

Stayed within the bounds of the lifeboat yesterday. Contemplated splashing, but distracted myself with shiny things. That only works sometimes, btw.

Bridget, wow, you did great on that hike!! You did it. Who cares who went faster. When I would ride my bicycle when at 350 lbs, it was just an accomplishment to complete mileage. Well, um, I still think that way! LOL I also wonder how in the world I did it with the extra poundage. Whoever said overweight people don't utilize mind over matter has not hiked or biked or done daily chores with 100+ lbs! Ooops, sorry, ranting and rambling. I must not be rowing hard enough! LOL

Fell out of the boat, got soaked, and then I'm pretty sure the boat ran over me a few times. I thought I had a good plan for a friend's birthday, but just let myself get too hungry. Then I morphed into Teen Wolf, everyone was eating crap, and it was over.

Here's a nice warm, fluffy towel. Your oar is waiting for you on your seat. <g>

Technically, I'm out of the boat again. Actually, once I counted things up, I was only 100 calories over my limit, but in my book that's still off plan. What did I learn? Today, I learned that I need to find some ways to deal with people who just unexpectedly hand me food. That happened twice today: the candy man (a retired colleague who insists on giving women candy) gave me a reese's peanut butter egg, and at the writing group I was handed blueberry cake without being asked whether I wanted it. If I had said no to even one of those things, I would have been within my calorie limit.

different day. I had all three meals out and decided I wouldn't try to calorie count. but I didn't use it as an excuse to go crazy. I am especially proud of dinner. Hubby and I went out to a nice restaurant. I had a bowl of soup, and an appetizer. Both were delicious. I had a few sips of hubby's wine and that's it. No bread no booze no dessert.

I'm sure my calories are over a little, but it was nice not to count everything today, especially given recent stress levels.

Just an little bit of info for our newer people: I started our lifeboat challenge from the beginning and have NOT had any vending machine crap from work since participating at the first 100 day challenge. Baby steps! Yeah!

I've also had at least 2x 10 day lifeboat cruises with perfect vitamin intake.

These "little" 10 day cruises are really helping me.
