February NSVs
NSV=Non-scale victory
Didn't we used to have a monthly thread for these here? I couldn't find one for January, so I am starting February's a day early. Post your NSVs here for everyone to celebrate! Reading about other people's victories can be really inspiring, and they can also help you realize the NSVs you might be experiencing without even recognizing them.

Here's one to start us off: Someone made pineapple upside down cake to celebrate a birthday at work today, and I wasn't even tempted. Usually I would have caved in the face of sugary pineapple goodness, but I didn't even waver.

I've been on vacation for three months, went in to work to sort something out and three people all commented on my weight. One guy walked in to my office and without even saying hello said "wow you're looking skinny". And finally I can smile and say thanks instead of feeling incredibly awkward about the compliment.

Jitterfish, that's fantastic! I love that feeling.
My NSV for today is that I made it through yoga without quitting. It was just 20 minutes of Biggest Loser yoga, but I hate yoga a lot (because it HURTS) so I put it off whenever I can. I know how good it is for me, and I want to get back to where I'm able to do it without misery, so I'm proud I took that first step.

My two biggest NSVs came last Wednesday: 1) administration served us breakfast tacos (my fav!!) and I didn't even go near them and 2) I had to go upstairs to the Social Studies wing and I lightly jogged up the stairs and wasn't winded!!!!
Also, yesterday we had cake in the teacher's lounge for the January birthdays--I wasn't even tempted.

Today was a spaghetti and garlic bread dinner night =O...I only ate 1 piece of bread(this is MY WEAKNESS)...and a little scoop of spaghetti =O. I used to eat 4-5 pieces of bread, because I love it so much. Anytime I do just one...its a victory for me =D

I have a pair of boots I think of as my 'office boots', mainly because they hurt my toes so much that I can't wear them all day, therefore they live in my office and I just put them on for a few hours when I get to work. I *used* to walk half a mile from my car to work, wear them all day, then walk half a mile back to my car in them with no problems, but that was before I regained all this weight.
However, I have been wearing them all morning and they don't hurt even a little! I haven't been able to say that in a very long time.

Clothing NSVs are my favorite! Great work, guys.
This morning I am wearing a pair of pants that I hate. I bought them at the thrift store when I stopped fitting in my cute size 12s. They're a 14W, so I bought them even though they're unflattering, because hey, at least they weren't a size 16. (I have since purchased size 16 pants.)
Anyway, they've always been kind of tight in the waist, but I squeezed into them anyway because they say 14 on the label. It's amazing how good I am at deluding myself! This morning I put them on and they fit just fine in the waist. I can breathe when I sit down!
I'm so excited because that means soon enough they will be too big, and I can take them right back to the thrift store where they came from. Sorry, ugly pants. Maybe someone else will love you better than I can.

Today one of my coworkers looked at me and said, "I can really tell you're losing weight." I haven't even lost 10 pounds yet, and she and I talk about dieting all the time, so her view might be a little skewed, but I'll take it!

Yesterday, a guy I work with who doesn't know I used to be heavy, told me I'm not fat but not thin. He said I was the perfect size. That made me feel amazing ^_^ I of course showed him a pic on my phone after and the reaction on his face was priceless xD

wrist and collar bones
I have visible wrist and collar bones for the first time in a very long time.
At church Sunday I ran my hand across my neck/shoulder and felt a hard lump...My first thought was "What have you done to yourself now?" Until I found an identical one on the other side :-)

I kept my lunch small today (as well as ate breakfast for breakfast, normally I just combined the two.).
Very Small 3FC accomplishment (for me) I just hit 20 posts now to wait for the 20 day mark so that I can have a signature plus ticker.
