Hello all,,,I am new to the site. However this seems like a great support and educational tool. I apologize if i ever post something in wrong spot,,,hopefully I will learn easy!
Yes,,,I have lost 20 pounds in a month. I am so freaking excited girls!!!! I use to be size 3/4 in highschool. I am 31 now, married, kid, home all the time. Things sure do change. I was a whopping 237 pds!!!!!!! Now I am 217 pds and so excited!!!!!!!! I can already take a bath easier,,get up and down stairs easier, more energy. funny how much 20 pounds is!!!!!
I have been at both spectrums of size. extremely thin and extremely obese. People do treat you different!!!!!!!!!! and I do perceive it different to being obese. sad but true!!!!
I literally hit rock bottom! I ate for comfort! I noticed I gained 50 pounds after my dad, uncle, aunt, and 2 cousins committed suicide within 4 years. So I guess I'm like a food alcoholic,,lol. That was my excuse so I can eat my life away. Comfort food.
Of course I knew how to lose weight, my problem was motivation and disabling my brain to eat out of comfort. That was what took me off the eating rollercoaster.
I had no self-esteem!!! I think it was harder on me being thin at one time then getting big,,,than just being big my whole life.(my opinion) I have a whole new respect for overweight people!!!! Funny how life changes a person.
Ok,,,girls,,,I eat 1200 calories a day,,,about 6 small meals. I watch my carb intake. I never go hungry. I workout about 30 minutes a day and drink more water. that is those kind of changes.
I only eat 100 calorie popcorn if watching tv. The rest is eaten in kitchen. I mute and dont watch food commercials,,lol. I make myself aware if I am eating out of emotion or if I am really hungry(that is a bigun). I eat slow with water. It take a while for your brain to know you are full,,,just learned that,,,lol)
send loves to all you girls. this is a hard journey worth taking.
Congrats to everyone with their weightloss,,,,even if it is just 5 pounds. It takes dedication, discipline, and patience.
