Hi everyone!

I'm Lauren - I'm 26 and started the SBD on Monday for the first time! I've tried calorie counting and Weight Watchers in the past, but didn't have much success as I'm hoping with this type of lifestyle change. I have about 50 pounds to lose and I'm a bit overwhelmed, but optimistic! I'm a pretty picky eater and have some allergies, so I hope I don't get too bored (always looking for new ideas!) Below are some menus from the past few days...any suggestions for improvements? Thanks for your help! I've been searching this forum and can't tell you how helpful it's been so far to read all of your posts!

Monday
Breakfast - 1 egg, 2 pieces turkey bacon, green beans
Snack - LF string cheese
Lunch - Trader Joe's chicken sausage, broccoli and cauliflower
Snack - raw green beans and hummus
Dinner - grilled chicken, broccoli and cauliflower

Tuesday
Breakfast - 2 eggs, 2 pieces turkey bacon, FF milk, green beans
Snack - LF string cheese
Lunch - grilled chicken, broccoli and cauliflower
Snack - hummus
Dinner - turkey burger (no roll or bread crumbs), broccoli

Wednesday
Breakfast - 1 egg, 2 pieces of turkey bacon, green beans
Snack - LF string cheese
Lunch - chicken salad made with miracle whip
Snack - raw green beans and hummus
Dinner - taco salad - lettuce, ground turkey, FF sour cream, black beans, black olives, salsa

Welcome! I don't feel comfortable commenting on your menu, I'm pretty new too. But I look forward to getting to know you!

Good luck and have fun!

I think your menu looks ok - I don't know what your allergies are but maybe mix up the veggies? Have some salads or beans (whole that is, I know you get beans in the hummus) or raw veggies?

Are you feeling full enough? Are you getting your water in?

Good luck!

I think your menu looks good and concur with Jenne about the water. You are really flushing your system when you do Phase 1, so water helps to clear you out.

:welcome: to The Beach, Lauren! Your menu looks pretty good to me, too. Just be sure you are eating at least 4 1/2 cups of veggies every day, and drinking lots of water. Eating legumes and including 2 cups of dairy each day will help stave off hunger pangs and keep you feeling satisfied, too.

Nuts & nut butters are healthy and really filling too. I eat them daily.

i recently made a bunless cheeseburger with homemade guacamole and pico de gallo (a fresh salsa of tomato, onion, jalepeno). it was great! i also like guacamole with my version of huevos rancheros- fried eggs with refried beans, cheese, and hot sauce.

you can make the taco bake or a taco salad and top with guacamole as well!

I have l taco-ish salad every day with pico and a pack of guacamole, plus huge salad with some meat in it. Love guacamole!

I put guac on EVERYTHING - as a dip, on a bunless burger, on a veggie burger, with soup instead of sour cream, taco salads and regular salads, as a dressing for chicken breast, with taco bake
yum!
