Time for yet another new thread, this is over 3000 posts our group of people have had and I don't see an end in sight anytime soon.

Please feel free to ask or comment about anything, someone will always have an answer and if not, someone will sure try to find out for you.

It doesn't matter whether this is your first day or your 6th month, all are welcome here.
Just remember, don't judge, and be supportive of one another, because it makes this program that much more enjoyable.

Have a great day everyone, stay positive, and stay OP!![/QUOTE]

I have a party planned for Saturday, which I am hosting, but planned it over a month ago. It's a "chocolate heaven" party - basically a chocolate tasting party where everyone gets to try different high-quality chocolate bars, plus a few other treats (flourless chocolate cake, cookies, etc.). Don't know what I was thinking starting this diet before the party. :dizzy:

Anyway....I've been on the plan for one week and lost 7 pounds. I have not cheated. But I'm wondering if I could modify the recipe for the flourless chocolate cake, and still try to stay (moderately) on program. I'm not too worried about the calories, just more with staying in ketosis. Here is my idea for a recipe:

1 large egg
6 tbsp liquid egg whites
1 bar (4 oz) Ghirardelli 100% unsweetened chocolate baking bar
4 tbsp Grapeola grape seed oil
4 tbsp coconut oil
1/2 cup cocoa powder, unsweetened
18 Packets Splenda
1/2 tsp Pure Almond Extract
1/2 tsp Coconut Extract

This would be divided into twelve, so would break down as:

Per Serving: 150 calories 6 g carbs 15 g fat 3 g protein
(Nutritional Info from MyFitnessPal.com)

The carbs aren't so bad, but that's a lot of fat. And I know chocolate per se isn't allowed, but this is 100% chocolate and cocoa - no sugar added.

Okay, I know it's a cheat, but is it a cheat that will throw me out of ketosis? I just don't know what I'll do w/people around me eating all sorts of yummy chocolate that I love. And a protein bar just isn't going to cut it.

Any advice?

Here is a recipe that I came along to a while a go but never tried it..Maybe its something you could try....

 Chocolate Pudding Rolls
 Add enough water to the Ideal Protein Diet Chocolate Cake/Pancake for pancake consistency. You will want it to be a bit runny to create a thin pancake (crepe). Cook on both sides. Let cool. Meanwhile, mix pudding flavor of your choice. Once pancake is cool, spread a layer of pudding over top. Take short end of pancake and roll it up, like a "jelly roll." You can enjoy it right away or, wrap with saran wrap. This will hold the shape until you are ready to eat it.
 For entertaining, once the roll has taken shape, you can cut it into small pieces (finger food) and place on a lovely platter. Your guests will love them and you can tell them they won't gain an ounce! Special Topping: Add just enough water to the Ideal Protein Diet Cocoa Drink to make a thick "sauce." Drizzle over Ideal Protein Chocolate Pudding Rolls!

Panda13 - What about getting some of the chocolate soy puffs to munch on? You could put them in a cute dish and just carry them around with you and nibble on a few at a time. There are lots in the bag and I think they're pretty good.

I think that I would have to go with the puff idea as well. I understand you are the host and all. But the reason you started IP was for the life style change!! One thing I've leared while doing IP is that you learn to be social without food or drinks... And people see you for you! I personally think that no treat is worth the cheat.. if I want something that bad. I think of my first week... So I will just smell it instead. Since smell is about 80% of taste anyways. Then you can have your head held high the whole time!!

Why just cheat with the flowerless cake? After that, what's to stop you from just having a nibble here, and there? And then there's the clean-up, and the licking your fingers. Why not just be a really super, attentive hostess and not bother to eat. Say you're full. That you've smelled so much chocolate, you're not hungry any more -- which for me would b the truth.

Yeah, I think I'm reconsidering and just going to enjoy the party and sip on some tea or coffee. I wish I could do the soy puffs or pancake, but I don't have those on hand and I doubt they would come by Saturday. I tried making a chocolate pancake w/ some vanilla pudding and chocolate protein powder. Ummm, not so great.

Though to say I smelled so much chocolate I'm not hungry anymore would be a complete lie. I am a chocoholic, and all my friends would know I was lying. I'll have a RTD in the fridge and some bars in the cabinet, so if I really get the munchies I'll just have one of those. And I'll eat lunch right before the party, so I'm not hungry.

Okay, thanks everyone. Needed someone to talk me down. :)

I have a lot of things to report since I wrote last.
First, I started student teaching Monday. The first day was a bit emotionally tiring because it hit me that I will no longer be working at the job that I have worked at for the last 7 years and have many friends at and the teacher that I am working with was a bit emotional herself as she had to say goodbye to her oldest son who was leaving to join the marines that day. The rest of the week so far has been good.

Second, I am down a few more pounds, YEA!
I am staying so busy in the school that there is no time to even think about snacking and I am bringing my own lunches and so am leaving myself with little chance of going off track.

3rd, I just learned that I passed all 4 of my licensure tests that I needed to become a special ed teacher. All I have to do now is finish student teaching!

So excited!

Good for you! I hate to admit it but I have been in eduction for close to 40 years ( they let us start as toddlers :D). I still remember the toughest part in all those years was the student teaching part. If you are enjoying that you will love teaching as a career.
I too find it much easier to stay on program when school is in session. You are so busy the time just flies.

Congrats on all that you've accomplished! I remember how hard it was to maintain a diet/exercise plan as a college student. It was worse when I finished up grad school and prepared for licensing exams in my 40's. So good, good, good for you. I was a social worker and substitute teacher for many years. Teachers and social service offices love to have treat days. If I had it to do over again I would be ready to show up with my specialty - veggie and WF dressing. I see you are handling it well. I know how hard you've worked. I admire you.

Hi there :D
So I posted this question in the daily thread for today but last I checked no one had an answer so I am hoping you "helpful" people will have an answer for me!
So I want to make the banana bread receipe and its pretty clear except it says to use an IP Banana pudding pack.. but doesnt mention if I acutally just use the powder pack or if I make it into actual pudding first.

Any helpful hints I really want to try this... they sound pretty tasty and I hate the banana pudding by itself and have to get rid of the few packs I have. LOL

Thanks!

Brandie ~ I think it is just the pudding packet (powder). When I made the waffles I just dumped it out of the package and used the amount of water indicated for the recipe at the end. Good luck! The waffles are fabulous in my opinion!

I found it under the receipies from Finland, I posted a quote with same question on the thread I found it on so it did jump to top of message boards a while ago. I know its a silly question but I hate to ruin a whole packet of food over not asking the question. I dont want to add water and make too runny or not add water and get really dry muffin/ bread

Thanks for checking for me :D

PS... what does it mean when someone post just the word Bump?

Bump means that they are getting the thread to the top of the boards. Sometimes they get buried and especially the really good threads need to be moved back up again. Hope your banana bread turns out well!

Hello!
Just checking in. Still at it and lost 4 pounds this week! I was due after a few slow weeks. Should be phasing off but I think I will phase off when I hit my goal since that may change. I feel great but may want to lose an extra 5 or 10 now when I am in the groove :).
Congrats Wuv, sounds like your dream of being a coach is coming true. I have my IP clinic set up and started dieters last week. I hired a coach to run it but it is exciting to celebrate with them all, especially the first week.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Had my chocolate party today, and it was...okay. I'll admit, I took a tiny piece of dark chocolate (less than 1/4 ounce), and a bite of flourless chocolate cake. I don't feel too bad about it, but I did make sure to give all the leftovers to guests so none of it would stay in the house. Most importantly, everyone had a good time.

I have some questions for all the helpful people on this thread. My husband is getting constipated, to the point where it's painful, and I'm wondering what he can do for fiber. He eats quite a bit of lettuce and has been drinking water faithfully. Are there certain veggies that would be better for him? Could he take any extra fiber (metamucil or anything like that)? I don't know how much longer he'll be on phase 1, but it looks like phase 2 isn't too much different.

Does anyone know if there are any syrups/dips/dressings besides Walden Farms that we can use - something that I could find at a store? I thought they carried them at Meijer (a Michigan chain store), but I checked w/the manager and they don't. Is the Smuckers sugar-free syrup okay? Or something like that?

Still around and still watching from time to time, I have just been so fricken busy lately.
Had a really busy day yesterday, took the Highlander in to get the year end maintenance done on it and then go shopping for a new bed.
Well the day ended up going totally different then expected lol.

We ended up at the dealership for over 3 hours and I drove off in a new car lol.
Loved my Highlander actually had 2 years left on my lease. I got into a brand new smaller car, now that I can fit in one lol and am saving myself $150 a month on my payment.
Then finally got to the furniture store and walked out having bought a new king size mattress, and a new bedroom set. Busy day you can say.
I know buy a king size mattress now that we have lost over 175 pounds between us, doesn't make sense lol.

Still doing good on maintenance overall, down 5 pounds since I started it.
The wife is still doing good and has changed her goal by another 20 pounds, I told her she could stop whenever she wanted.

Now that I have been off for awhile I will finally admit this, I hate vegetables, I burned out on them quickly.
For coaches that say if you don't eat all your veg that is why you aren't losing weight BS. I didn't eat any veggies other than lettuce a few times a week for the last 4.5 months I was on plan.

I will still be around, I will still try and offer advice when needed, but I need to catch up with work and home, just so much going on the past month and a half.
Miss all you guys, keep up the great work, stay positive and stay OP.
Lisa what can I say, as always you are the best!!!

Here's my new baby, limited edition, number 900 of only 1500 made in this model, only way to get this color. Quite a difference from my 2011 Highlander but way cheaper and better gas mileage:

Wayward, so good to see you checking in and with fun news all around.
I am thinking of giving myself a retirement gift, if I do decide to retire this summer. I drive a lot of miles for work so put them on an old mazda.
But for when I stop adding on the miles I was thinking of a matrix.
But your Scion looks way better than the picture I saw advertising them on a billboard. I will likely check them out now that I saw yours. You will save a fortune in gas too compared to the Highlander.

But on the other hand my old 2003 Mazda started with no protest after I had to park it unplugged for 5 hours at -30 today. So I better not say anything about getting a new one around the Mazda.

I don't remember where, but I think I saw someone mention coconut oil as a substitute for olive oil on the IP Diet. Is this allowed? Or is it just olive oil and grape seed oil?

I don't want to argue with Junetwin (who would, with someone who's been so successful :D)but I was told that coconut oil is OK and it's good for you. I'm often light on the oil because I don't like it on salads, just the cider vinegar, so I put a scant 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil in my coffee in the morning instead of milk. Love it.

Basal metabolic rate - basically what your metabolism rate is if you laid in bed and did nothing all day, how many calories you basically burn to live and not move.

Ooh, that's good to know. I'm doing alternative products, so it's nice to know that some coaches do approve. Good thing, too, because I have a full jar of organic coconut oil at home, and I'd hate for it to go to waste (esp. since it's so pricey)!

You can always use it to clean your face or as a lubricant. Some of us do. And yes, the organic is best.

My clinic does it with some kind of Ideal Protein machine. You stand holding the machine in your hands, elbows flexed at chest high and it tells the BMR as well as hydration. I'm sure there is a formula. I guess I am off to Googleville.

One way to increase BMR is to increase muscle mass.

I have been having a hard time eating a 1/2 pound of meat every night. Before IP, we would have meat 2-3 times/week, and never would I have eaten 8 ounces of it. I'm just wondering if I can spread it out, or could I even just eat 5 ounces? Are there any others who have the same issue?

Also, I feel like 2 eggs is way easier than 1/2 pound of hamburger, but I don't think I could do eggs every night either.

Eggs are easier, and cheaper, but 2 eggs only have 12.6 grams of protein; very lean meat can have close to 4 times that amount of protein. Just saying. ;)

You can put the hamburg meat into a salad and stir it up. that is what I do sometimes. You can also make hamburg patties and use lettuce leafs as the hamburger bun. That works and you can make lettuce leaf hamburgers, taco, and etc.

I would also add a stool softener as well. I do not believe the Smuckers is carb free, but you would have to check the labels. You can order the Walden Farms on line. 8.90 for shipping up to 10 items and they are basically the same price as in the market.

Wuv,
I know that some where I have seen it posted maybe by yourself or another experienced IPer but I can seem to find what the daily allowances of carbs, fats, fiber, cal are per day per phase. I am now tracking these as I am anticipating phasing off 1 and headed into 2. But if you could post a link to it or if it is not too much trouble repost here it would be wonderful.
Thanks for all your help and support you give to all of us.

If you're retaining water because of TOM, your loss might be low or you may even have a gain. However, it will come off next week, and you'll probably have a bigger loss.

I honestly can't say that I have seen this posted. I know we have had a few discussions about it. You might try asking your question in the experienced thread, They could help you more. I believe the Cal count is between 800-900 a day, carb count I believe is 30 (not 100% sure) the others I don't know....Sorry I could not be more help....I'll look through some of my papers and see what I can find that may be helpful to you. Wayward & Wuv & anybody else....

Please share your experience and/or opinion regarding alcohol consumption.

I have not once cheated on this program! I don't intend to. However, I am curious about the consequences of having a couple of social drinks. I'm not talking about beer or sugar based drinks. What about a shot or two of vodka or gin with some carbonated water and crystal light? Would a couple shots of alcohol be enough to throw you out of ketosis? I was about to do my own research online but thought I could get some great feedback right here, (at home)!

Look forward to hearing your thoughts on this!

Thank you SO much!

I don't think vodka or other hard alcohol will stop ketosis, but it will slow down fat burning as your body uses the alcohol for fuel before fat.

It may also reduce your resolve to stay op.

Last year when I did ip and lost most of my weight (about 22 pounds) I did occasionally imbibe. With so few calories the alcohol seemed to effect me more and I felt worse the next day!

Ip does not support the use of alcohol in phase 1, but it is a personal decision. Just know it might slow things down!

I have been on this diet since November 16th and have lost 11 pounds. I have hypothyroidism and feel fine with this. I have been putting my food intake in for over a week and wondered if I am not getting enough calories. I average between 500 and 650 per day but feel fine at the end of the day. My coach thought maybe I wasn't eating enough and this is why the slow weight loss. I just have been blaming it on my thyroid. Does anyone else have the same problem? Thanks for your help!

Salad with cucumber

Snack- 8PM IP Pudding

I have averaged over the last 37 weeks 3.2lbs a week, are you on medication for your thyroid? Here are a few suggestions I would do and also have a few questions
...
1. Not eat a tomato every day, only eat it twice a week since it is an occasional veggie.
2. how many oz is your hamburger? is it at least 8oz? If you are eating a hamburger everyday, you need to start switching it with chicken or fish. Your body is becoming accustomed to it. Sometimes you have to switch things up to "trick" your body.
3. are you getting all 4 cups of your veggies in? Make sure you are getting that in for sure.
4. are you not having a restricted packet? Having one will increase your calories and your protein.
5. I would add a few more glasses of water since you are drinking 2 cups of coffee in the morning.

Yes, I am on 75 MCG of levothyroxin. This has been lowered twice last year by my endo and have just went for more tests last Friday to see if she needs to lower it again. I have tried to stay away from the restricted IP food because the carbs are so much higher. My hamburger is aprox 5 oz. and no I am not getting in my vegetables. I eat them at lunch and thats it. I would say aprox. 2 cups with my cucumber in my salad. If I have brocoli, I use that in my omelet for breakfast. I will try and switch my protein, it's just much easier doing the same thing every day.

You NEED TO EAT MORE!!!!...it is VERY IMPORTANT that you eat ALL 4 cups of veggies and Up your hamburger to 8oz. Your body is going into starvation mode and holding on to the fat. You need those carbs in the restricted, don't try to cut back on anything this causes your losses to be smaller. The program is DESIGNED to have what is on that sheet, in order for it to work at its potential it has to be followed EXACTLY to a "T" or you will have very small to no losses at all. I am currently on 2.0 of the levothyroxin. I was without my meds for the month of December so when I got my blood drawn my level was 190 and its suppose to be at 2. I go back in a month for another blood test.

She is correct, we should not be exercising because our calorie intake is only 800-900 calories. If you chose to continue exercising I woul suggest ( I am not a coach or Dr) adding another packet, eating 1/2 before your walk and the other half after your walk. This will give you a little extra to burn before and replace some of what you have burned.

Make sure you're getting your entire 8oz (raw) of meat in. I know you said you were having a 5oz hamburger, and the extra bit of meat might help too. Also, since you're using the George Foreman try subbing the beef with chicken breasts. Still super easy and will change up your routine to hopefully kick your body out of its comfort zone. I'm on Synthroid as well (I literally don't have a thyroid anymore, it was surgically removed a couple of years back), and I've been able to lose really well with this program.

OK OK OK....DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!!!......i may have stayed the same last week but this week I loss 6lbs!!!!!....I am super excited I also loss 5 inches this week. So I am short 2 days to making 9 months on the Ideal Protein Program and have loss 124lbs and 82 inches over all (hips, breast, thorax, waist, arm and thigh). I have gone from a size 36 pants to a loose size 24, Bra a VERY FULL 54DD to a 42C, and shirts from a tight 5x to a 2x almost in an XL. This has been the best 9 months in my life. I have 13lbs left to go to reach my original goal of 250lbs, once I hit that I will continue to my next and final goal of 200lbs!!.....I want to be there by my one year anniversary of being on Ideal Protein.

THIS just goes to show you that IF you stick to it THE POUNDS WILL COME OFF!!!!!...WOOHOOOOOO......Thank you ptod for the hugs!!! And Determined, I tried I REALLY TRIED yesterday but that was it yesterday....My head was pounding so bad yesterday and I think its because I take pride in what I say to everyone on here and I just couldn't get through to most of them and that aggravated me the most. WE can't help those who DON"T want the help ya know?

The only thing that should be pounding today is your heart-with PRIDE!!!!!!!! Yeah for 100% on plan Wuv!

Has anyone else had little bumps (ulcers) on the inside of you mouth? I have these bumps that just started a couple of days ago. I have been on IP for a week. Please advise, my mother in law is saying it is a Vitamin C deficiency I am not sure about that given the fact that I am taking the multi two times a day. Anyone have any suggestions?

Congrats! You are a shining example of what is possible. :cp:

I was surprised at my WI last week - 7 pounds - and I didn't do anything different. The body does what is does in its own sweet time.

I am taking a page from your playbook and celebrating me along the way. You inspired me to buy some makeup and I plan on getting dolled up (in a tasteful way) for the wedding this weekend. I still want my DH to recognize me, but I want to make myself beautiful now - not wait for some day in the future to feel that way.

Oh and I bet Mom is so proud of you too! Hi Wuv's Mom!

Hello! Just read this thread and it makes me feel a lot better about being on this program after reading all the negative comments on other threads I was beginning to worry. Good job Wuv! I hope I can be as successful as you are!

Quick question everyone! What do you do for salad dressing? My coach was out of the dressing she sells and I'm looking for a healthy alternative.

Thank you, I just want people to realize that ANYTHING is possible and everyone can do it IF they put their mind to it. REAL PEOPLE do this program, we watch programs on TV of people losing weight and such then think is it a hoax or did they really lose that much weight. That is why I post monthly pics so that you can see this is REALLY ME....an ordinary person doing the program and having amazing results!! :)

I had a NSV yesterday, and I still feel good today. The maintenance man was over to fix a broken light fixture. He's a young, buff, bodybuilder. He kept looking at me and finally said "You look great, you've lost a lot of weight". It was nice to have a man notice, especially one who is focused on his own body. We had a great time talking about carbs, protein, supplements, etc. He's uber fit and has just as hard a time staying away from the high carbs as we do. He was beating himself up for eating some muffins. Wow. Thought I might make some of Finn's muffins for him and see what he thinks.

I've been reading "The Unbalanced Diet Approach" and I've noticed some differences between IP and the book. (I haven't read the entire thing yet, so maybe it will be answered later in the book)

The biggest difference I found is that he recommends the first phase for only 2 - 4 weeks? Or am I missing something here?: "The concept of an unbalanced diet - the protein diet - is only acceptable for patients for a limited period of time (two to four weeks), allowing for exceptions, as is the case for obese hospitalized individuals. During the second part of the weight-loss process, you'll eat a balanced diet to keep the pounds off." (page 28)

Broccoli, mushrooms, cabbage, sauerkraut, cauliflower, turnips and leeks are included in his list of "restricted" veggies.

Celeriac (one of my faves) is listed as a vegetable to avoid.

Also, he states that aspartame can be used as a sweetener.

I'm just curious about the differences, knowing that IP is at least somewhat based on Dr. Tran's book. Does anyone know why there are these differences?

Please tell me there's a reason that after being 100% OP for my first 5 days doing IP, I could step on a scale and be at the same starting weight. I woke up so happy to be thru the wk one hunger and headaches and would have been happy to see even a loss of 2. My first WI is still 3 days away and from everyones posts and sigs I was hoping itd be the best one-a jumpstart that let me know this could work for me too. :-(

Wait and see what you weigh at your WI on their scale. My second week I thought I had no loss and was really bummed out. When I got to my WI I was down 1.6 lbs. I was not thrilled but it was a loss. I am in the middle of my 4th week and as of WI#3 was down 9.25 lbs. This is slow in comparison to many but I am averaging over 3 lbs a week at this point so I am okay with that.

Make sure you are eating all of your protien (8 oz) it seems to me it makes a difference and make sure your are not constipated which can be an issue for some on this program.

Good luck and hang in there. It will come off if you stick with it.

We are encouraged not to weigh every day but I do because I don't get emotionally upset with whatever the scale says. But my pattern is to go for 4 or 5 days each week with no loss and then it goes down one day. So wait out the whole week to see what your loss really is.

I am not sure about the differences, but Dr. Tran wrote his book several years ago so I am sure since he has written the book has found other ways and has made adjustments as to what we follow now. This is my opinion only though, not a professional :)

I am wondering the same about his time frame for phrase 1 when I questioned my coach about it he said it has been modified (but I couldn't find anything written that has been authored by Doctor.

Also, I would really like to know reason for no aspartame.

Hopefully, some experienced IPer can answer?

HI EVERYONE!

Im back! and im happier then ever and ready to do this. I wasnt ready before. I some issues i needed to work out.. One: being my issue with binging(im getting help with that from OA and im 1 month binge free today wooppee!!!) and the other issue :My stomach health issues. I could barely eat anything and they didnt know what was making me sick so i couldnt even diet. Turns out i have a Celiac Disease and so ive been on a month long wheat free gluten free diet and in turn I feel great! In fact, oddly enough i used to binge on bread and pastries. It was my go to binge food... I used to crave it like crazy and now i dont crave it and i dont drink pop anymore!!! I used to drink pop like crazy and now i dont crave it. The only thing i drink is water now!! Yay! Im so happy! I feel so much better! So now that they know its the gluten and wheat thats causing the issue, i can now go back to IP alternatives, just modified in the sense that i have to cut out packets that have wheat and gluten..which leaves yummy pudding and shakes!

Anywho! im starting at 294 and im excited to do it this time. This time i even set goals, which is something that i have never done before...So excited to do it!

WOW WUV...you look amazing..your smaller than me now!!! Congratulations..

Wayward..glad to see your still around and doing it! You must look incredible! I bet your wife is like "va va voom".

good morning everyone....as for the book I am sure it is because the book was first written a while ago and the diet was first written for professional athletes. It was so that they would fit in certain weight categories. It was not originally for long term dieting, but there has been some modifications. At the time the book was written the best sweetener available if you needed was aspartame so that would be my guess as to why that was acceptable. It was the "safest" one to have. Now there are so many other ones that are safer like stavia, splenda...until the next study shows that there is something wrong with those artificial sweeteners.

Glad to see you back Port and it is so good that you have done all the research on your own particular problems before starting again. I am wheat intolerant but not to the point of celiac. It makes me gain huge amounts of weight instantly and totally drains my energy. So I had to learn to eat wheat free long before IP. It is tough because in our society everything is wheat based but there is more variety of gluten free products than there used to be. Unfortunately most of these are very high carb.
I went from 204 to 161 by eliminating wheat and maintained that loss for 5 years. Now I'm using IP to get the rest off but will never be able to handle wheat products.
Good luck with the rest of your journey after you have made that important first step.

yes yes yes this is totally me...I gain weight FAST like faster than toast! I gain it just from eating the smallest amount and it makes me horrendously ill....ever since i cut all the wheat and gluten out, ive had lots of energy, no major mood swings, no real depression( i actually get to get off my meds according to the doctor) and i feel alive and not sleepy and not grouchy and no stomach aches..Its amazing what happens when you take something out of your diet that you are intolerant to. I had no idea that eating something that makes you ill, actually could cause so many issues from one simple little bite...I actually feel alive! and living! I dont think i will ever go back to gluten or wheat again!!

Easter is in 1 week.
We do a polish brunch at my house at about 10 am which consists of keilbasa, ham, pierogi, bobka, an egg sausage & cheese casserole and an egg dish called sedak. Then we go to my sisters with the rest of my family (which is a huge mob) and we have a buffet style dinner at around 3pm. She serves everything from lasagna to turkey, sausage & peppers and desserts.
Oh my.. this is going to be a challenge for me. I think I will cut back my brunch to just ham, pierogi, keilbassa and bobka for my fam.
I will have an IP omlet & some spinach during brunch.
then at my sisters I will bring some chicken on skewers with some spices that we can BBQ. she will have veggies there.

What is everyone else's plan?

Great you have a plan to stay OP! I will be going to my mother's and we'll have a lot of unhealthy, fattening things which my hubby and sisters will eat. I'll eat veggies and whatever basic protein Mom has (or pull out some chicken or turkey I'll bring along). I'll bring my WF Italian salad dressing.

I have already bought some fat free ham, which I will bring with me (still can't believe we get to eat ham. Being so saltly, I always thought of ham as "bad"), a big salad with two cups of green peppers. And while I watch everyone else eat more than I do, I will remind myself of the "reward" for staying 100% OP, waiting for me when I get home; a snack of those sweet IP lemon pancakes. YUM!:D

I live in Ontario, Canada and Schneiders make a fat-free ham that is available in any of my area grocery stores. I am suprised you cannot find it in the U.S. as you always seem to have more choices than we do. I still miss my Boca Burgers that, for some strange reason, are no longer available in Canada:(

Hope this helps.

Thanks Pat, I will be posting a new one sometime this week. Going get my hair cut, colored and highlighted today.

I had my hair cut and colored and highlighted today also. The stylist said I was getting tiny. That's a first;). Nancy

Your hair looks great! Isn't it fun to care about yourself and enjoy yourself?

I had so given up on how I looked or felt. But, with IP I am beginning to care about those things again. Love to try on clothes or do the nails. Self esteem keeps climbing!

Thanks to all who share their transformation here on 3FCs IP!
