Default I'm a Mommy on a mission (not impossible) LOL

My highest weight was 280, now I'm down to 206 but it's been a fight. I used to drink 4-5 diet soda's a day and now I'm down to only 1! I want to get to 199 by my birthday (in 2 months). That would be the best birthday present ever! I may be a little off of the exact date but I WILL get there! I am really hopeful to be under 200 for the first time in over a decade.

I never want to go back to where I was. Not only for how I felt and looked like, but also to avoid family genetic problems. Diabetes is very prevalent in my family. I have slightly high cholesterol even though I avoid red meats and really eat well. I'm hoping 3FC's website will bring me closer to people like you who've had weight problems but are succeeding. Thanks for welcoming me...

And I hope to make some girlfriends on here. I don't have any in real life.

Thanks Liz! 75 lbs!

I am so happy for you too...233 to 133! My goodness. Mentally, I am having a slightly difficult time seeing myself under 200. I am working on it, that a) it is possible and b) I WANT IT. I've been over 200 for over a decade and I have to fight what my brain's thinking. NO, this isn't good enough. I want to be 175, then I want to keep going forever. Thanks.

Welcome! You've done an amazing job so far, and you've come to a great place for friendship, advice, and support. I, too, was worried about geting diabetes and wanted to set a positive example for my children (I have 6). One of my greatest accomplishments on my journey was when I got my blood results back from the doctor; everything was in the healthy range, and I was only needing to supplement with vitamin D.

Wishing you continued success on your weight loss journey, and I hope to see you around the forum.

March 10th is your birthday? That's the day I recommitted to losing weight and regaining my health. I'll be celebrating right along with you. You can do iT!

Welcome! You've made amazing progress already, so congrats to you for that. I think your goal of being under 200 in 2 months is very realistic and attainable!

Good luck to you!

Beck- Thank you. I can't believe you've lost 150 lbs, that is just unbelievable! To me, it's not just about looking good, it's about feeling good and knowing I'm doing something for my health. My bday's March 9th, sorry I changed it. I'm 202 now, I just need 3 more lbs by my birthday. But like I said if I can't do it by then, I will not beat myself up.
