I entered this contest a few weeks ago on Facebook to win four weeks at a Biggest Loser Resort. My video was accepted and is now up for public vote. If you don't mind, wanna help me out and vote for me? I'm hula hooping in my video. I've already thought that if I win, I'm taking a few hoops with me to share my hooping with everyone there! Although I have lost 5 pounds since I taped that video. Yay progress! Would have been more if I hadn't strained a muscle plus gotten sick (not the I can't eat kind, too). I'm also going to commit myself to 30 minute hooping sessions every day and some yoga in between. I don't want to do too much because of my achilles. Seriously, never strain that muscle. It sucks to heal!

The biggest key to hula hooping is a large hoop. That's not even the largest hoop I have because my first hoop was large and heavy. I have a video on my youtube channel showing my waist hooping progress throughout the year. But I always am afraid that I'm going to get reprimanded because I just want to tell everyone, "Hula hoop! It's easy with the proper tools!"

Through hooping, I crave physical activity, even if it's only a few minutes of movement, which is why this strain has killed me so much. I don't want to be a lazy bum on the couch all the time.

I'm going to definitely have to try it because I see people hula hooping sometimes on TV and I love it lol! I'm going to just have to buy a good hoop and get my butt out there & do it! You make it look sooo fun

I did a Nia class yesterday and was fine. I didn't bandage my tendon for my hoop session today and I'm paying for it. I guess I need to realize that I can't just jump into my sessions.

I'm going to just have to buy a good hoop and get my butt out there & do it!

I know of a few quality hoop makers I can suggest that are cheaper than the "big brands." I will admit I'm a hoop snob and not a huge fan of foam covered hoops. I had a few that never worked for me very well.

Thank you everyone! I am so glad that everyone here is so supportive! I posted this on another weight loss forum and I've received so much flack about it. I know I don't need this to lose weight but this would be like a cherry on top for my weight loss. And a vacation in somewhere warm? Holla! I appreciate this so much. Thank you guys.
