Greetings!
It is a day or so before 2012 but thought we'd get a head start.
For anyone just passing by---come on in and stay. We enjoy life and giving each other encouragement.

I don't like resolutions because they are always the same ones and never get done. :(
However, this time, I intend to lose 5 pounds in January.

Anyone want to make a resolution?

:newyear:

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!

Hi everyone! SO SO SORRY I've not been here! I was really feeling pretty blue the last couple of months. Missing my old house and neighbors, all this menapause stuff, not working, (I am only there a few times a month and just got called back about 10 weeks ago), the kids are grown and never home, I've had no energy. All I do is sit and crochet! Urgh! Anyways....went to Wal-Mart and bought SAM-E.....it is to make you feel a little better...it is working. (I think)! I got back online with my etools for ww and have felt better there too! I think that food has A LOT to do with my moods! eeek!
Well gotta run! Miss you all! Hope everyone has a great weekend and New Years!

Good morning everyone

I trust everyone had a very Happy New Year. It's now January 2nd time to pull out the big guns and start fresh-I'm going to do this 1 day and 1 pound at a time-I'm not going to beat myself up any more-I want to get to a certain goal and with baby steps I know it can be done. I think we all just have to be positive and go forward. Yeah for us!!!
I'm still waiting for my furniture and I'm going to try and get in touch with someone today to get an ETA-you'd think with all the modern contraptions that they'd be able to tell me where the truck is now. The apartment is just about ready to move into-I get my cable, internet and phone hooked up next saturday-Next big thing is to get my condo sold-I really can't afford to carry it for too long-keep your fingers crossed ladies.

Anyway have a great day and let's make 2012 the best year ever
maureen

My goal is just be healthier by summer! I turn 50 in June and my goal is to feel good about my self!

Maureen, I knw you will be happy once everything is in place.
Jeanne, I must be slow!!!! I just realized crochet replay was your page! Tell me about the menopause stuff! I swear I lose brain cells everyday!
Tina, how re you doing?
Tammy, are you having fun? I'm jealous!
Mimi, are you ready for your move?

Tina
01-04-2012, 10:29 PM
Hi all,
I'm able to get on here using my iPad but not my PC.

Susan, I can tell you that menopause is an adventure! Mine came early. Yuck.
I would forget what aisle I parked on. Turning bright red in Macy's and Penneys wasn't fun, either. I found that dressing rooms weren't my friends.

Everyone have a good evening.

Hello dear friends!! I am in Georgia now after a few days at Disney World. Epcot on New Year's Eve was an experience with the crowd. It was fun, I"m glad that I did it, but I don't want to do it again. lol I have been eating well so far on the trip. I even brought my bathroom scales with me! Went to Wal Mart and stocked up on healthy food for the room (well, not the snickerdoodles!!). All the winter guests at this hotel received a nice fruit basket! I was thrilled because fruit was on my list to buy.

I am going to try to figure out the tracker thingy with my starting weight from a year ago. I want it to show what I lost darn it!! (even though I had gained 20 after chemo stopped).

GRRRRR. Just tried to change tracker. I had it all done. There isn't a place at the top of my screen to cut and paste! I have a new laptop. Where is it?????????????????? 50 pound goal, I have lost 29, 21 pounds to go.

01-05-2012, 09:07 PM
hi all-my furniture arrives saturday-YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! my landline, cable and internet will be installed also-I've basically been living out of suitcases for a month. Work is going great. Menopause-I was lucky if I had flashes they were so minimal-or maybe I lost more brain cells than I know about and just don't remember-I think I went through it fairly young also-between 45 & 50-I was really lucky-I can't wait 'til I'm in my own place then I swear I'll be back on track I hope
well I hope we all have a great day tomorrow

I heard about the crowds at Disney World and Land. I'm glad you had fun, anyway.
Good luck with your tracker.

Maureen, I'm so glad things are finally coming together. In no time you'll be back to normal (whatever that is).

How is everyone else doing????

:carrot: Hi everyone~ Woooosh.....it's been tough getting here~ I didn't even try Weds. or Thurs. because I worked and had errands to run! But got right on today! HOWEVER.......I can't get on my WW etools! It totally freezes and acts like this page "was" acting! You know what it is......I bet.....ALL THE NEW YEARS WEIGHT LOSS RESOLUTIONS and EVERYONE trying to get to all the weight loss sites! mmm, hmmm. I bet! :dizzy:

Susan - yes....Crochet RePlay is my page! FB wouldn't let me re-activate it at Sweet Baby Depot....so, I started all over again! lol! Thanks for adding my page anyways! Love that you are there! ;) I can't get over how everyone "wants" a hat! Everyone that is buying them say "I wasn't a hat person, but, I have to have one"! lol! Yay!!!!
Menapause.....the dr. says mine is well on it's way....I don't know if I believe her or not tho. lol! I'm 47 (like in 4 days...lol :o) and it has been a rough 3 months......periods lasting 17 days then off a week and one for 9 days....and back and fourth like that. I did go 2 months without one a few months back. HOT FLASHES....OMGosh.....I don't just get them at night....I get them all day long too! Moody, OMGosh Moody! Sleeping too much, not sleeping enough......I could go on and on, but...I'll spare ya' all! :o

Tina - How are things there? Did you have a great New Years? Did you do anything fun? I slept....hence the sentence above! lol!

Tammy - Yay for Disney Land. I'm glad you are feeling well and glad to see you back here too!

Maureen - Yay to new furniture! Glad you like your job and things are going well! It'll be nice to get all settled in and back into a routine!

Marion - How are you? Thanks for keeping up with me on fb! ;)

Well today I ripped up the beds and while the sheets are washing and drying I'm trying to make some sense of the basement. I'm trying to "fix it up" for a section to be just my crochet! I have to have access to the computer for my "stores" for printing invoices and shipping lables. Not to mention printing all the patterns I've been "collecting". haha! I'm a crazy obsessed yarn women now! lol! It's everywhere!

Been staying pretty OP. Had a gotta have sweets/chocolate moment last night, but other than that....pretty good! Hoping everyone is OP and healthy!

Wow, it's great to see all us Chatters back up and talking!!!!

Janelle, where are you girl? I hope things at home are okay. Maybe you just haven't found this new year thread. :dizzy:

Jeanne, you make me laugh. I understand about the moody aspect of "M" and it's not fun. I hope you have a short time of it.

I'm happy to blow my horn here. I've been totally OP for 3 days now and have lost 3 pounds. Now, I know some of this is just water retention.
But, it makes me feel like things are going in the right direction.

Got to exercise---more talk later...

Yeah Tina-that's fantastic!! Jeanne I didn't buy new furniture it's my stuffing coming from Edmonton. It took them 3 weeks but I guess they totally load up the truck before they deliver the load. So this weekend I'll be unpacking etc.

Tina
01-07-2012, 05:24 PM
Thanks for the congrats.
Today is a difficult day to stay OP. So far, so good but there are temptations.
The Texans (football) are in the playoffs and today is the day. the chips and salsa are calling me. There's pound cake calling my name! I might have to use my 49 points today. LOL

Maureen, did the furniture get there?

Good evening all. Had WI on Thursday and I was up .2. Finally getting back on track and feeling good so far. I did Zumba on Friday evening and thought I was going to drop right where I stood. Oh my. I plan on doing the C25K program to get me ready for my first 5K (it's in March). This is definitely my year for change.

Tammy - What part of Georgia are you in and how long will you be there?
Maureen - Glad that everything is coming together.
Jeanne - Do you have a link to your store? I would love to see the things you have available.
Tina - Congrats on your 3 lbs loss.
Susan - Hope the first week back at school was good.

Tammy
01-07-2012, 11:09 PM
Have to agree about menopause although hot flashes were really the only thing that I had.

Tina, 3 pounds is wonderful!!!! Chips & salsa would be calling my name too!

Maureen, we could all come and help you unpack!!

Dori, I loved my zumba classes! I want to take them again sometime. Yay for the 5k. I have done 3 of those, but I never run them, I'm a walker. I am at Jekyll Island till March 1. I know that I am close to you!!

Tammy
01-07-2012, 11:11 PM
by the way, Tina, I still can't figure out how to cut and paste on this laptop. Guess the tracker you see is what it will be till I get home. Hey! I just thought that maybe I could go to the lobby here. They have a business center for guests. Maybe I could get it to work on one of those computers. Don't think I'll go try it tonight though. It's dark out there!! lol

Tina
01-08-2012, 11:09 AM
Tammy, have you gone to the User PC at the top of the page. Duh, surely you have. I don't know about your laptop. Have you just tried to highlight the area, then right click to cut and then right click to paste?
(I hope that sounds correct. It's easier to do than to say. :D)
What kind of laptop do you have now?

Tina
01-08-2012, 11:16 AM
HI all,
Dori, I was just thinking about you last night and wondering if things were going okay with you. That's great about doing a 5K. I've never had the chance to do one. You go girl!!!!!!

maureen, I'll be up there with Tammy to help you. I'm sure we can help decorate. Uh, what am I saying. I still need to do some decorating of my own.

susan, how are your kids doing? Is your mom still doing okay?

jeanne, did you get your crochet area organized? Is it still snowing? What kind of exercise do you do when it's bad weather?

janelle, still haven't heard from you this year!

Everyone have a great OP day!

:flow2:

Tammy
01-08-2012, 11:29 PM
Tina, I have never cut and pasted on a laptop before, so I'll try what you said. I have an HP laptop. My old one was a dell, and Tim and Lauren have been using it since both of thiers died. I use the desktop at home.

LOL @ decorating! I have lived in my place for 6 years now, and I am just now getting the bathrooms where I want them to be. Well, that's if the kids get them painted while I'm gone.

Had a good day foodwise. Keeping sugar under control. All of my readings have been great! Tomorrow if my morning reading is good, I am planning to have a small serving of ice cream sometime during the day.

Tammy

Hi,
It's good to hear from everyone. I think I'm getting sick. Been sneezing all day, head is stopping up and throat feels tight.

We bought a new kitchen table today and 4 chairs. It's counter height. It comes Saturday. Our current table has a big spilt down the center of it.

I'm not ready to go to work tomorrow.

Tammy
01-09-2012, 02:31 PM
Susan, don't get sick. That's an order!! I like those tall tables!! I would have written you a note not to go to work today, but I read this too late.

Took a walk without the dog today. Amazing how much faster and further I went!! lol

Tina

Hi all,
We have had rain and more rain today. This morning, I took a quick trip to the grocery store for a few important items. It was only misting and I thought I could get home before it was bad. Wrong! I was there 15 minutes and, in that time, the bottom fell out! There was so much water in the streets and parking lot that my little Neon would've drowned.
So, I sat in the store for 3 hours ! I had a muffin and hot chocolate for my breakfast and then a Diet Coke and unhealthy sandwich for lunch.
I got almost home and had to park in a Jack in the Box parking lot and walk the rest of the way. When Larry gets home, we'll go retrieve it.
Tomorrow, I'll do all my Monday chores. :D

Susan, feel better!

:flow2:

Tammy
01-09-2012, 10:41 PM

It is beautiful & sunny here today, but cold! 27 degrees! However...temps are rising and we are to get rain later today....turning to snow....they are calling for aprx 3" on friday! ok, we can deal with that!

I'm headed to the post office to ship some orders, then to tan, then to get my nails done (my gift from sweet kait) and then to kohls to get some new bras!

I hate to spend my money on those...haha!

Well everyone have a great day! Talk to you later!

Hi everyone

I'm going nuts here!! I don't get my internet, cable and land line until saturday. That was fine on the weekend because I had so much to do. But now I'm going absolutely around the bend. I tried getting on here (I'm at work) but couldn't remember my log in info. Finally figured it out. I'm really not following anything right now and I have to shake my head and get doing something. I feel like a blob. Did you rescue your Neon Tina?
Susan, hope you're feeling better.
I hope everyone is great and now that I've figured out my info I'll be on here again tomorrow.

take care

Hi all,

Jeanne, glad you had a good birthday. Buying underwear is not my favorite thing in the world, either.

Maureen, I've missed you!!!! Yes, we retrieved the Neon. The water had completely gone away. Although, now there is a console TV at the corner of our street--in them street. :dizzy: I wonder where it came from!!!
Passwords----I have the craziest one for 3fc. I believe it was the one they gave me when I couldn't remember mine. I just kept it. No one would ever hack into this one. :dizzy: :o :dizzy:

Susan, can you breathe now? Hope you feel better.

Tammy, how is GA? I imagine you are gettng some of my rain.

Dori, I hope things are quiet and you are enjoying your Zumba.

Janelle, where are you, girl?

Okay, lets do at least one healthy thing today-----I'm eating fruit. :D

:flow2:

Tammy
01-12-2012, 12:07 AM
LOL @ buying bras. I so agree!

Maureen, I am so glad that I remembered to bring my little notebook with all of my login and password information in it to Georgia. I would have been a mess!

Tina, it rained most of the morning and part of the afternoon, then the sun came out and it was beautiful!

Healthy today? I substituted brocolli for the french fries that come with the wraps at the restaurant.

Hi,
So far, so good today. :carrot:
I'm OP and have 15 more points to go. I need more milk/yogurt today.

Good afternoon ladies. Still going strong with Zumba. :carrot: I even got up at 4:45 this morning to go to the 5:30 class. Wow is all I can say. Tonight I will take another class (Trim & Tone). Today is also my weight in day, so I will see if all my hard work has paid off. For the last couple of days I've been staying within my point range (26-29) and not using any of my Flex Points. That could be because I used the majority of those points during the weekend.:D

Tammy - Jekyll Island is about an hour and a half away. If you would like, we should plan on getting together. Have you ventured over to Saint Simons Island? It's a great little place.

Maureen - I would be batty without my internet. I often wonder how I ever did without it.

I hope everyone else is doing well and I will check back in after weigh-in. Ta ta for now.

Tammy
01-12-2012, 08:57 PM
Tina, good for you for being OP!

Dori, I would love to get together while I am here!! I was over at St. Simons on Tuesday. Just walked around, sat on a bench and read, enjoyed the weather.

I'm still here! Very busy at work over the holidays with boarding animals and such.

Then tons of family stuff. My inlaws annoyed me to no end, trying to get them to get together with us. With them if you are not the squeaky wheel, you get no grease!

Anyway, managed to stay in maintenance range through the holidays.

Thought all was going to be good. for the New YEar! Ended up getting a slab fracture in a tooth, on New Years Day! OMG No dentist in sight. A long story, but finally got tooth pulled on Monday. Had roots that went to the moon and had big hooks on ends. :?::?::devil::dizzy: After tooth broke off and nothing left to pull on, it was tug, drill, pull, tug, drill, pull, drill, and on and on. Then let's remove a chunk of bone to get the last root out.

Needless to say, I have not been feeling to spiffy. 9 days of dangling tooth, then the extraction with all the lousy hooks and such. Still sucking on gauze and pumping Ibuprofen like a crack head. But feeling somewhat better.

And then let's try to stick to plan while eating a diet of soft food, I do love my blender, but sheesh. We're on day, I'm not even sure, 14 or 15 of trying to stick to plan, and looking out for sore mouth, face and the grand canyon in my mouth.

Along with the DH had an AFIB attack and we made a trip to the ER. *deep sigh* Dork forgot to take his meds.

Now it's cold and windy here. I've got on long underwear, top and bottom, 2 pairs of socks, slippers and fleece nighty. I'm freezing! We do have heat, it's like 68 in house and I feel like I've been dropped at the North Pole!

The good news! Still maintainng! Have tomorrow off, run some errands, then head out to shop in a bigger town and then spending the evening watching my grand daughter. Mom and Dad have to work. Looking forward to the day off and grand kid time!:carrot::D;)

Happy Saturday!
Dori, how was you weigh-in?

Janelle, it's good to hear from you. Wow, a lot is going on with you!

Susan, hope you are all well now.

Tammy, Does Maurice like to chase the birds? If the chemo caused the diabetes, how long do you have to take medicine? That is soooo weird.

Jeanne, what's going on?

Hi everyone! Brrrrr, chilly morning, but suppose to get up to 54 by tomorrow~ yay~

This morning I cleaned and did a little crocheting. Then got online and started applying for jobs. Unemployment says it's time! lol! I think it is too!
I'm ready to get back out there! I applied at the Cancer Center (Registar) We'll see!

Hope everyone is having a great day! I work 4-8 tonight and then I'm off until Saturday. Bob is on vacation so it should be a good week!

I'm on day 2 of a new beginning. I journalized yesterday and even got some walking in. All's well here, I'm settling in and I really do think that this is the right move. Now I just have to get my condo sold in Edmonton and I'm good. Does anyone want to buy a place in edmonton??LOL I know that it'll go eventually but in the mean time it'll cost me.

Let's all have a great day on program we're worth it.

-11 here this morning. Mouth felt better until yesterday. Jaw swelled up. Look like a chipmunk.

Went back to dentist today. Extraction site infected. 1000mg of Amoxi, twice a day. I feel like the south end of a north bound mule.

I'm a strange person, my normal temp is 97.5, I'm running at 96.6 right now and freezing!

I did go WI tonight, didn't stay for meeting, felt to yukky. 141, still in maintenance range, despite the holidays and dental issues.

Morning,

Janelle, OUCH! I am so sorry you are having this trouble. Ouch, again.
I have a dental appointment next Tuesday. Hopefully, I won't have any problems.

Maureen, I am so happy that you are happy. :D :D :D

Dori, have you gotten your Direct Sales business going yet? How is Zumba?

Susan, are you well?

Tammy, how is GA? How do you stay OP while eating out all the time? I'd love to know.

Jeanne, you are a busy girl all the time. How's the weather?

It's beautiful here. I'm going to Whole Foods to buy some veggies. I need to take my check book since it is so expensive there. But, I thought I'd go.

Have a great day. Do something fun.

Hi everyone! Wow, did we get some snow overnight! 5"!

Tina - unemployment......because I was full time - salary -(generous salary), I was off an entire year before I got called back for "very" part time hours. So, I'm still eligible for the difference.....I don't think it is any different here!:) Funny about the diet coke! I am that way with diet pepsi!

Susan - what's new? LOVE your pictures on fb! Sooooo beautiful! Thanks for supporting my habit! lol

Tammy - You're missing this weather! Lucky girl! Hope you are having a good time!

Janelle - Hope you are feeling better!

Dori - Yay to Zumba! My girlfriends and I did Zumba for about 8 months a couple of years ago! good for you sticking to your plan! ;)

Maureen - how is your journaling going?

Marion - miss you! How is the new place?

Have a great day everyone! We're planning on staying in!

Hi all! I finally feel like a human after 3 weeks of "THE TOOTH"!:D

Still taking my antibiotics, but off pain reliever for 2 days. Got the house picked up, made next weeks meal plans, bought groceries and TADA, got through a whole workout.:carrot:

Maureen, keep journaling! It does work. Hang in there.

Dori, I'd like to try Zumba but the only class here does not start till 7pm. I don't live in town, so it would be hang out or go home and drive back.

The weather here is typical for western Nebraska in January. Colder than a well diggers b**t one day, 50 the next. 30-50 mph winds or no breeze at all. Snow comes and goes on a whim.

On the diet note, I have one of my dogs on a diet. Ruby is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, and she is an easy keeper. She has gotten way fat. Keeping myself on a diet is one thing, keeping one dog on a diet and 2 dogs not on a diet is a major pain in the rumpus.

Happy Sunday,
Everyone sounds busy.

Nothing going on here this afternoon. How about y'all?
After church, we went to Sweet Tomatoes. They have lots of salads.

Tina, Maurice is actually scared of the birds! lol I am here until March 1. I have been having a great time. Went to a church in the next town for a Gospel Concert the other night. Last night I went to another church to listen to a Christian comedian. I had tears from laughing so hard.

I have to admit that my eating hasn't been the healthiest. Need to snap out of this! I am leaving in the morning to go back to Disney this week. I really don't do bad eating-wise when I am there. I do splurge on Mickey Mouse ice cream bars though. lol Tina, I usually only eat out once a day. Varies from meal to meal. I have a stove, micro, and refrigerator in the unit I am in, so I am able to cook if I want.

Maureen, brrrrrrr to -9.

Janelle, my normal temp is 97.5 also. My son's is the same.

I went shopping after church today. I will need a uhaul to get all this stuff home. lol

Hi all,
Dori, how are you doing with your Zumba?

Jeanne, I hope you find a permanent job soon. I can't believe you were off work for a year before getting that part-tme thing. My time flies!

Susan, come on in and post.

Tammy, poor little Maurice. He will have a complex by the time he gets home. Bad Birds! Wow, you must be doing a whole lot of shopping. What all are you buying and what did you get for us?????

Maureen, you are quiet. I guess work is keeping you busy, busy, busy.

Mimi, how is your new apartment?

I'm definitely not doing well OP. I've got to get to the store and stock up on healthy stuff. :D My metabolism has left the house!

OK ladies, my ticker has said 140 for a long time. That's at home, in the morning, in my birthday suit, after the business. That number has been elusive to me at my WW WI. For 3 months!

UNTIL TODAY! 138.4! :bravo::cp::dance::dancer::dancer::dancer::dancer: :dancer::dancer::dancer:

Yeah Janelle that's fantastic!!!!!!!
Inspiration that's what I need and you're it.

I have been keeping a journal, drinking all my water and really trying with the food. I'm not doing too bad just have to remember it's one pound at a time.
I'm on a learning curve here at work. I did get back some of my duties so that's not a problem but some new things that everyone seems to think I'm capable of learning. They're going to send me to some of our branch offices in february - halifax and moncton maybe quebec city too - to meet the people in workers' compensation(I'm responsible for doing all the claims)-so should be interesting.

well hope we all have a great day OP

see you all soon

Afternoon!
Maureen, it sounds like they are keeping you very busy. I'm glad you are enjoying it. Good for you for journaling.
Janelle, keep up the good work!!!
Jeanne, how are you doing?
Susan, how is your gluten free diet going?
Dori, how is Zumba?
Tammy, did you get lots of walking in at Disney?

It's a lazy afternoon here. No specific plans here this weekend. If it's warmer, we will go walk at a track.
Keep up the good work!!

My slovenly, sloppy, no mind, no focus, redneck husband, bought me a gift certificate for 2, 30 minute massages for making goal!

He is a very good and intelligent man, and I love him dearly, but most days he has no more focus than a gnat. Then he does something like this.

Now, if I could just get him to take his heart meds, like he is supposed to! Would some one here like to beat this into him? Or at least loan me a bigger skillet to whack him with?

Wow, janelle, your husband did good!!!!!
Why won't he take his meds? That's scary.

It's a beautiful day here. I heard the Weather Channel nuts bemoaning the fact that it had not snowed as much in NY this winter as last winter. What is the matter with these people!!!!! I guess it's easy to talk when it's not your state.

Everyone drink your water. :carrot:

Finally on here again!
Janelle, congrats on the loss!
Tina, you might be right about Maurice having a complex. He is so funny! I have been buying some new clothes! I rarely go shopping for clothes, so this has been fun! lol Tim and Lauren will be here Friday, and I am sending some things home with them. I admit that I brought way too much! Sending home some clothes, undies (lol), shoes. Also books that I have read, and anything else I think of between now and when they leave.

One thing that I bought is a flag holder. It is a triangle display box. I wanted one for the flag from Bob's funeral, but those that I found at home were so expensive. I happened to be in Michaels a couple weeks ago, and saw some that were $20. I was so excited because those at home were about $40. When I got to the register, it rang up at $10!!! It was even more on sale!

Maureen, I know that journaling is a big key. Need to get back to that. I have been doing well with the water though!

Walking at Disney was amazing! I wore a pedometer the 3 days that I went to the parks. Tuesday - 6 1/2 miles, Wednesday - 8 1/2 miles, Thursday - 5 1/2 miles. My legs and feet really didn't hurt from all the walking, but my rear end hurt! It even woke me up in the night. Want to keep up the walking now that I am back in Georgia. Walked quite a bit yesterday, but today I just crashed all day. Hurting and sleeping because of fibro. It doesn't happen often, so I am all the more thankful for the good days.

Janelle, so sweet of your husband to do that for you! Please tell him to take his meds and stay healthy for you! My husband died 3 1/2 years ago, and my life and my son's life will never be the same.

Hi Everyone,
Tammy, you will have to model some things you bought and take photos.
It sounds like you've been busy.

Jeanne, is your house the way you want it now? I still haven't found pictures to hang in the dining room.
We finally found a ceiling fan for the living room...a perfect one.

Susan how are you?

Maureen, when do you begin traveling for work?

Mimi, I hope you like your new place.

Dori, you are too quiet.

Janelle, when are you going to use one of your gift cards? :D

I really stayed OP today. And, I drank all my water. :D
