i gotta confess that i rarely make them - it's always just the same old, same old. weight control. increased exercise. improved stress management. more vaccuuming.
that's about it for me! what about you?
no matter what, though -
:newyear: :newyear: :newyear:
and may it be a happy, healthy one for you and your loved ones

I have my WLS in the spring, no real date set yet. I have to meet with the team one last time, they'll have my date then. In the meantime, I will do strength training for my muscles, eat clean and I've already stopped drinking caffiene :( and switched to splenda. I have to work on drinking more water too!

My goal is to start living life again. I'm finally getting to a weight that I feel confident enough to start meeting new people and doing the activities I've always wanted to do. I think I am going to create a list of 12 activities I want to try this year, to give myself a tangible, yet realistic, goal.
I would like to achieve my goal weight in 2012 and I think it is doable with a lot of hard work. I want to take a trainers course in the fall and start my own business helping others lose weight and become healthier. Specifically I would like to work with overweight kids. I think there are a lot of opportunities there. There are just so many kids that I can see who were in the same place I was at that age. Kids who spend way too much time on the computer or playing video games and have no interest in being outside or playing sports. The key is going to be finding a way for them to have fun and not even realize they are being more active. Anyway those are my 2 major goals for 2012.
Happy new year everyone!

My new years resolutions are to stop slacking about the gym (a recent behavior i need to stop), drink more water, and get a job related to my degree. I am working on-call casual, and make good money but there is no future for me there. No room for growth and a possibility to segway into something else.
Hope you all have a good new years

I don't do resolutions, or at least that is what I thought. Last year I told myself I was going to make some changes. well, I quit smoking and had gastric banding surgery. I am down 17 pounds and I feel great. My health is now the most important thing in my life and I just want to continue with what I have started. Maybe I will make some resolutions next year...
Happy New Year everyone!

I am still trying to figure out my goals. Meanwhile, I want just to enjoy life and try to be myself… Try to be happy without being perfect (love this book)
