Smile No More Emotional Eating

Hello everyone, I am new to the site and am very excited and happy that I joined.

I have been overweight for a couple of years now and have been unhappy for a very long time. I'm always thinking about how happy I would be at my goal weight but never really did anything about it. But that has definitely ended. I feel more than ready, determined and motivated to lose these pounds. I have been eating healthier and exercising for almost 2 months and have been able to lose 18lbs. I am an emotional eater and have found this to be my biggest obstacle. If anyone has some words of advice feel free to share, I would greatly apprectiate it.

I too am done with the emotional eating. A lot of change is coming in the next few months, but I'm ready.

I'm an emotional eater, and a boredom eater (is that an "eating style"?). I'm hoping the support from this site will help overcome this problem. Good luck to you and congrats on the 18 lbs!

Thanks everyone... I eat when im bored or sad..which really sucks right now because Im currently not working and dont have much to do with my days..I try to spend alot of my time at the gym or taking my dog on looong walks but my days still seem sooo long. But I'm going to take it one day at a time and stay focused.

Hi all. I too, eat for emotional issues. At this point in my life it is a serious issue that I have to get a handle on. Moreover, I just want to feel better.... I am hoping that with the support of this site I can do it. Finally.

Hi everyone,
I'm new on here and so far glad I joined. I felt like I needed to put my intentions in writing, if that makes sense. I've been yo yo dieting for about 4 years now and I'm ready to adopt a healthy lifestyle that I will actually stick to!
I also eat for emotional reasons. Whenever I'm frustrated, stressed or upset, or even tired, I eat. I want to stop that, and only eat because I am hungry and need to give my body the fuel it needs!
I think I can feel pretty and attractive again if I lose this weight. I still can't believe how much I've put on.
Hopefully admitting I need help and reaching out for it is the different approach I need to do it right this time and stick with it!
