Good Morning everyone, I hope everyone had a good day for Christmas and enjoyed family and friends. I will be traveling this morning early in the morning so I figured I would give a few words of encouragement before I go to bed.

For those of you that stayed OP through the Holiday, congrats on a job well done. For those of you that caved in, don't beat yourself up. Today is a new day just hop back on the wagon and get back OP. What is done is done, you can change today but can not change yesterday. Start today with a new attitude....I am WORTH this, I CAN do this and most importantly I WILL do this!!. It is never to late to get started, the past is just that...the PAST....the present is a present and the future is yet to be seen ONLY YOU can make your future, YOU decide what YOU want to do, for ME its to get to finish the first part of my journey of getting to my goal....What will you decide for your future, for your tomorrow...Think about it :)

Morning Wuv
well I screwed up but it happened a few days before the big meal. I then royally screwed up. Today is the first day back OP and will keep going OP until I hit my goal weight. Congrats to all of you who had way more willpower than I did. Today is a new day and will keep going.

Woohoo! I was -6 at this morning's WI and it's even my TOM. :carrot: I survived Xmas eve, Xmas morning and Xmas day huge meals without a cheat so I'm proud of myself for that but now comes the hard part -- 7 days in the UK in three different friend's homes and lots of transit. I'm going with the theory that planning is everything here -- all my packets are marked for day and time and I have some extras for emergencies. I think this will be my first real test! I'm worried about getting all my veggies in.

Congrats to everyone who did so well over the holidays!

I also was off plan yesterday so have put my one pound gain into the Christmas challenge chart and I am back at totally on plan today.

I have be doing this for 5 months now and one thing I discovered yesterday was that anythings you buy premade tastes awful because everything is loaded with salt.

A major part of my "binge" was two apples because I am sooooo sick of the big C. Whatever remedy I try works for a while then loses effectiveness.

What I need to do is go back to the advice my coach gave me at the very beginning, that is to have an enormous salad at lunch. With the coming of winter salads were not as appealing. Also it was taking about a half hour to eat them and as my work situation became more and more hectic I wouldn't take the time necessary at lunch. I am off till after New Years so will get back into the salad mode again and my resolution will be to take the necessary time at lunch to eat the salad.
I hope everyone is having a chance to relax now that the main rush is over.

Agree with all that has been said if you fell off of the wagon. The past is the past and today is a new day - make it count!

We got back last night from our week long trip to CA. It was wonderful seeing friends and family, but even better coming home last night. We stayed at a hotel for most of our trip, so that was a little challenging staying on plan, but we did it. Definitely didn't get much water in and next to no supplements, and most days were more like phase 2 days than phase 1 days. I hopped on the scale this morning kind of afraid to see what it said, but I still managed to loose three pounds while we were away. Tomorrow is my official weigh in day, so hopefully the clinics scale will agree with my scale at home. Either way I'm glad to be back home and back to phase one and my regular schedule.

Have to add also how nice it was to get all of the positive feedback from friends and family who could tell I've lost weight. I saw a lot of those people about a month and a half ago at my son's Bar Mitzvah when I had lost about 30 pounds, but now almost another 20 pounds lighter they said they could all really tell the difference. Plus I had brought my new too tight jeans with me just in case I needed an extra pair. I figured I could squeeze into them if I had to. My second day there I felt like I was pulling up my pants too much and so I thought I would try on those new too tight jeans again, but now they fit just fine. LOVE this diet.

Off to pick up the dog from the boarders this morning and return a few gift items that weren't right. Enjoy your Monday everyone.

I went off plan for the weekend and while I felt guilty I totally enjoyed the food lol.

Back on track today, weigh in not til Saturday so I have 5 days to recover. Even if I stay the same this week at WI I will be a happy camper.

Congratulations to all who had the willpower to stay OP. Have a great day everyone....

From the sounds of your enthusiasm and willpower I'm sure you'll do fine! It was sort of funny...at my family's Christmas party I took all the celery that was on the veggie platter...LOL!!! I just kept going back for "little" handfuls at a time... :) Be well and have fun with your friends! After all you're going to see them and not food!!! ;)

Glad to see everyone did well over the holiday and back at it today. Just made it back from mom's it was a nasty 3.5 hour drive in the rain and crazy drivers that is for sure! But now I am home safe and sound!!!

I had my WI today . . . Down 4.6 pounds and another 4.75 inches. I was OP for the holidays w/ the exception of one tiny cookie that my coach gave me permission to have and one sip of Champagne. I was fine w/o having any more cookies, but I would have enjoyed having a couple of glasses of champagne! I'll save that for next year.

There were some great WI's today. Congrats.

Wuv, I hope you made it home safely in all of this rain. It's yucky, yucky outside here in South Louisiana!

I am one who went off plan yesterday, and I am very nervous now. I have not done this before and I am wondering if I will be sick again as I get back on? I did not binge, but I ate way too many carbs, for sure.

The last couple of weeks have been extremely hard. So, I too, and anticipating not feeling very well going back OP 100%. I'm prepared for it though. It's the price paid for having a good time and I am not going to feel guilty. Be proud of yourself for being able to get back on program. That's what's most important. Drink all your water, take your vitamins and minerals and that will help get you through. Good luck Survalia!!

I'm glad to be back. I took a break from the program while I graduated. Now that it is done, I am back. I just needed a mental break from always having something to think about. It has been nice. I am glad for those who stayed on plan and I understand not staying on plan as well.

Well today is a new day at least.

Happy Monday everyone. I stayed OP through the holidays and had my second WI today. Down 3.4 lbs and another 11.25 inches. Woot Woot! Still hungry after lunch and supper but have taken some advice from here and that seems to help a little. Hopefully another week and the hunger issue will pass. Until then the inches melting away keep me motivated. Have a great day!

well.. i hope everyone had a great holiday :) we saw alot of family, and i feel like this was the busiest Christmas to date. having the baby this year definitely had something to do with that. i'm exhausted. i feel like i don't want to leave the house for a WEEK! anyway, i luckily stayed OP. i'm not expecting to lose much weight (if any at all) on Thursday's weigh in because my TOM is right around the corner, and i'm one of those who doesn't lose that week. i made up for it last time the following week, so that's encouraging.
the food and desserts were tough to be around for thanksgiving and Christmas. i went to a bunch of parties and there was a huge spread at each place. i was chomping at the bit, trying to pretend my hot tea was something on the table. i made the entire Christmas dinner last night for my fiance's family, solo. couldn't eat anything but the turkey and some green beans..grrr.
although the holidays were hard, what is even harder for me is living with someone like my fiance'. he has a super speedy metabolism and literally HAS to eat like every 2 hours, unless sleeping. he can eat WHATEVER he wants. his cholesterol is perfect, blood pressure is stellar, sugar levels are normal, and anything else you can think of is right on target.... oh and he's UNDER weight by at least 25 lbs. it's SO frustrating!! he's constantly eating delicious meals and snacks. tonight was rough...i think it was even worse than thanksgiving and Christmas--- he bought a pizza and fries from OUR FAVORITE pizzeria... i held the box steady in my lap the whole way home.. my nostrils were flaring at the scent of the delicious-ness it contained. oh yea, that was tough! didn't cheat tho. i can't wait to have a slice of that again. people have started to really comment on how much i've "slimmed down." i'm glad people are finally starting to notice. 20 lbs down...can't wait to see the same people in a month or two when i'm another 20 down.
congrats to all with your weigh ins and inches lost! very proud of everyone...especially during the season of FOOD! << or so it seems :/ good luck on weigh ins this week
