Default Ring size question

Hey everyone, I had a question about ring sizes. I just graduated and my parents bought me a college ring as a gift. It's a teeny bit tight at the end of the day and I'm trying to decide if it's bugging me enough to get it resized. But, I know that in the first 40 lbs I lost, I also went down a ring size. One of my favorite rings is way too big for me now. So, since I want to lose another 40lbs, my question is this: should I get this ring resized, or do you think my fingers will continue to shrink? They're definitely not skin and bones. I guess this question is directed at those of you who went from the 190s down. Is there enough fat in my fingers for them to shrink more? I don't want to get this ring made bigger and then in 6 months have it not fit. :'( Thanks!

Wait to get the ring resized. Your fingers could still shrink.

When I was 167 pounds my fiancee proposed to me. My engagement ring fit then (I believe it's a size 6). Now at goal I can't even wear it because it slips right off.

I would definitely wait. My college ring is too big for me now so I haven't been wearing it. I think it was a 7.5 and I can already wear my friend's 6.75. I really miss it and want to get it resized but I know I should wait since I'm planning on losing about 30 more lbs.

I've been the same ring size at 155 pounds and at 250! I have huge man hands (ring size 9).

That said, I would wait until closer to goal.

My boyfriend got me a ring 3 years ago, I love it and I wore it every day. I have been around 170-200 lbs in those 3 years, but now that I've entered the 160s my ring size dropped and it started falling off my finger. So I'm going to wait until I'm at my goal weight to resize it, but until then I wear it on a necklace =)

I'd wait. I started at a 7, I'm at a 5.5 now, by the time I'm at goal I'm thinking I'll be a 4.

Don't resize it just yet! Also remember that when the weather is hot, your fingers swell, and when its cold they shrink. A lot of my rings fit well in hot weather but become loose in cold weather.

Definitely wait!

I wore size 8 rings at my high weight and now my fingers are slimmer than ever for some reason and I'm not even at goal yet. Rings from high school, and when I was my lowest weight, are too big now. You just never know!

Hey guys!
After reading all of your input, I'm going to stick with my current size and wait until I hit goal to think about resizing it. So we'll see in around (hopefully) 6 months. :P
