Default Inches and photos

I was wondering if anyone is keeping track of inches lost. I heard that's a great morale booster when the scale is staying the same. I haven't done it yet, but I may pick up the tape measure today, although the shock may kill me. LOL!

Also, does anyone take "during" photos? I had my DH take a before photo that he hid so I haven't seen it. I'm hoping that tomorrow's weigh-in will tell me that I've lost 10% of my body weight, and I was thinking maybe a during photo (that he can hide again!). Then again, maybe just a before and after would be more fun. What do you think?

i just started with the inches thing. i do it every other weigh in, so every 2 weeks.

and i'm doing the during pictures too!! i'm posting them on the website i've been working on: http://www.geocities.com/gonzostar/weightloss/main.html

i was thinking of taking pics in a sports bra/bathing suit so i can really see the fat disappear. not sure f i want to see that though!!

Smile I tried pictures

I did use the photo method last year, and it really works! you'd be amazed to see the difference particularly in your torso just from working out regularly. (back and stomach were where I noticed the most gradual change) I did I guess 3 poses each week and just took pics with my polariod in biking shorts and a sport bra. I am not doing that now, but mainly because I am lazy and out of polariod film, and it is MAD EXPENSIVE!

Anyway, I also keep track on a body fat scale, which I really like because when my weight isn't changing, its nice to see the amount of fat I've lost and muscle I've gained! That keeps me going to the gym on the days when I'm most discouraged.

There was a link on the front page of 3FC, this girl took a pic every 10 pounds she lost; it's something I'm thinking of doing. If you think it would help you to lay them all side by side as you're losing, then by all means, go for it!

I took inches on the 5th, will take them the 5th of every month.

Holly--I thought about that, too. Not sure I want something like that around though.

I took a before picture, and more at 20, 40 and 60 lbs lost. I took them in a sports bra and my underwear LOL but they are cool (and scary) pictures, although I'm not sure I'll ever show anyone.
