I've been waiting for this thread but since no one has started it I figured I would. Tomorrow is December 1st and I'd like to lose another 10 by the New Year!

Well, I'm in too but there is no way I could or would want to lose 10 lbs in a month. that's just too fast if it's all fat. So, I'm going to go for about 5. I weigh in kilograms and this morning I was 72.5 so I want to be under 70 kg by New Year's!!

GOAL BY JAN. 1 -- UNDER 70 KG!!

Ok. I'm not trying to be snarky, but this is somewhat surreal for me. I don't have 10 pounds to lose any more! (at least I don't think so!). I managed last month to drop exactly 10 pounds which is the first time I managed it but had help at the beginning of the month with TTOM weight. Wow!

But honestly, with my birthdyay, Christmas, two Christmas parties and new years eve, I hope just to maintain. I'll work on more loss, but I won't beat myself up with just maintaining in this month of abundance. That's a success in itself.

I'm in too! And I will be strong and on plan, even though its my birthday and Christmas. And several parties. I made it through a birthday and THREE Thanksgivings in November, and lost 10lbs, I can do it in December too!! ESPECIALLY since if (when!) I do, I'll finally be at 199. Onderland would be a pretty sweet 30th birthday present to myself, I think. :D

My VERY ambitious goal is to be 159 by 1 Jan. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to start the new year no longer overweight. I lost 17lbs in October, can I do 15 in December?!?

Well I had a very disappointing 3 pound loss in November, so I'm going to be a little kinder to myself over the Christmas season and set a more attainable goal. My other resolution is to NOT WEIGH MYSELF until Christmas morning, so as to avoid the huge ups and downs of water weight that I seem to suffer, as well as the attendant cheating and loss of motivation that goes hand in hand with them.. so a bit of an experiment this month! ;)

I didn't lose a dang thing in November...but I didn't gain a dang thing either :lol:. I'm going to shoot for 10 again this month and see how it goes!

It's my own fault. I became a little lax with tracking, or allowing myself "just a bit more"...or..."one piece of candy won't hurt". But not in December! This is the month were the candy, gift baskets, and parties are plentiful. Every morsel will be counted!

I'm revved up! Let's do this thing!!!!!

So 10 lbs will put me into Onederland. I haven't seen a one in front of my weight since right after my daughter was born almost 5 years ago (and even that was very short lived).

January first is also a few days before my husband should get home from his current deployment. He has no idea what I look like now. I'd secretly like to get down to 196.5 by the time he gets back. That way I could say I've lost 50 since the last time he saw me (I lost 13 this summer before he left).

My husband is also military. Last time he had a full deployment (6months) I gained a lot. :( He just got back from a 2 month TDY the end of October, during which I lost like 20lbs! It was so great to see the look on his face. And how he couldn't keep his hands off me . . .

Not gaining around the holiday's is a WIN in my book!

In for sure! I've averaged 10 pounds a month in October and November and really hope I can keep it going in December! Honestly I'll be happy with any loss with everything going on this month but I'm going to keep working for that 10. If I can make it that would mean I would achieve my second mini goal and blow past my 2nd 10% by this time next month!

Down exactly a lb overnight. I was way under my cals yesterday... I kinda do IF, and I had 3 corn tortillas with fajita veggies in them last night and an apple at like, 9, so that's why. But I felt great all day and even had energy to do a DVD. :carrot:

I'm in! Last month I lost roughly 5.5lb

This morning i will weigh in at my school gym because they have a scale like they have a doctor's offices. However, this number might be slightly higher than last week's 210.5, because last night I got my TOM. I don't know when it'll be over either because I only get them once ir twice a year and sometimes they last for a month. The cramps are ridiculous so I am not sure if I will be able to get to the gym as much as I'd like. I hate this especially during finals week!

Oh well it doesn't help to complain about it. Official weigh in will be posted early this afternoon class because my school gym doesn't open til noon

We actually have very similar stats. I also want to get down to 199 by january 1. Its not impossible. But I do know that it might not happen and I will be happy anyway as long as I am losing weight. But it would be so awesome to be in wonderland by new years day!!

So here is my official weigh in: I am very happy to announce that I am 208.75 pounds as of this morning!

This would put me at Onederland for the first time in 5 or 6 years! I am so excited.

I also finally calculated my BMR for the first time so hopefully this will help.

I am not even sure how I will weigh myself on New Year's day. I have my digital scale which I do not trust. The gym that will be open (the ymca which I love btw) does not have a scale, and my school gym (with the doctors scale that I normally use) is closed from the 23rd till the 2nd. ugh! so I will have to rely on my digital scale and hope to the high heavens that I am 199 or less when I officially weigh in on jan 3rd

Had a horrible diet weekend. I usually end up messing up on the weekends. This one was really bad because I was at my parents. We went out for dinner Friday and I got a whole fried catfish. :o It wasn't even good. :barf: I love catfish, but this was NASTY! I guess that's my comeuppance for going off plan! The restaurant even had salads I completely ignored! Then Sunday was my nephew's first birthday. My sister-in-law ordered pizza. I can't say no to pizza! At least the cake was kinda icky so it was easy to only have one bite! :p

Alright... I'm a little annoyed. I weighed in after school and got 164... this is before lunch, after not eating or drinking for a few hours. I know it's not 100% accurate, but GRAH!
My weight has been so high up ever since Thanksgiving. I couldn't have possibly eaten enough to gain 6-8 lbs. I'm not on my period. I haven't been eating loads of salt. My workouts have been consistent.... ???

Oh well. I'll weigh in again towards the end of the week... hopefully that will be better.

Okay, I was bad last night and ate waaay too much sodium (tortellini with alfredo sauce...why?) and topped it off with three beers. I'm up 0.2 lbs which isn't too bad, but its still disappointing. I weighed 175.6 on Friday, and today I weigh 175.8. doesn't change my ticker any since I rounded up, but I was really hoping to have lost SOMETHING!

Trying to make better food choices, and I lowered my calorie budget from 1610 per day to 1361 since I haven't been able to exercise like I should.

Well, I didn't stick with my lowered calorie limit...I put it back up to 1607. I figured I should keep it there for a while and see how it goes before lowering it. I did pretty good yesterday, came in under calories, anddd......

I weighed in at 175! Pound down!! I've also been trying to watch my sodium levels and drink more water, I think that that has helped. So I'm 8 lbs down since Thanksgiving, and 3 lbs down for December. :D

173.8 this morning...I don't know whether to even count it or not because its a little more than a pound down from yesterday!

Of course, I did just start my diet. This is the whoosh phase of the weight loss. I think my body's saying "Oh thank GOD you stopped putting all that junk in me!" and the poundage slipping away is a sigh of relief...

Ok, I'm going to count it. as 174. 4 lbs down!

So I had to move my weigh in day, because the gym where I normally weigh myself (because it has a more-accurate medical scale, and because it helps me stick to weekly weigh ins... I get over anxious about it and weigh myself every day, then obsess about fluctuations, etc. its not good.) is closed this weekend. So I moved it to two days earlier, which was today.

So I am PROUD to weigh in today.

SW: 208.75
CW: 205
GW: 199.anything (I'll be satisfied if I am 199.9, just as long as I'm under 200)

This makes me 3.75lb down this week.
YAY!!! I am working sooooo hard I can't even explain. But last week I lowered my daily calorie limit and I've been faithfully sticking to it this week and I've upped my activity level this week as well. It is paying off!

I am sooo stoked, I really hope I make my mini goal.

I may also weigh in on Monday, just to make sure this wasn't a fluke.

I am starting to get extremely frustrated. I did see 136 on the scale several days ago but it didn't last and all of a sudden it has jumped back up to 138. I have been on track this week, getting enough water, not around TOM so I don't really know whats going on with my body. I am upset and a little discouraged by the number BUT I am determined to stay on track.

I am praying that it is simply because I added intervals and increased my running intensity and my body is just retaining water for the time being?
Does anyone think this could be the reason for the gain on the scale? :?:

Its highly unlikely you actually gained weight, you are probably just fluctuating a bit because of water and exercise, give it a few days and check again. I'm sure you will be down!

Good job, me. :lol: I didn't really go off plan. I only had a 1/2 of a homemade (by me) cupcake at my birthday party and then another 1/2 of another kind (by me, lol) on my actual b-day yesterday. I'm doing GREAT!

Back on track today, hoping to be down to the 206's by tomorrow or Wednesday.. WE GOT THIS!! Keeeeeeep gooooiiinnnngg!!!! :D

I'm still at 204, which is good and bad. I think I have hit my "week before TOM holding pattern". It's hard not to get discouraged when I don't see the scale moving as fast as it did in the beginning when I was losing 8-10lb per month...but I have to remember that I am not gaining, and when it's averaged out I'm still losing 1lb a week.

I've had a terrible time with water weight and bloating this month. It took my forever to get over strong antibiotics and then TOM. Finally seeing some downward movement!

wow, i really wooshed! down 3.8 lbs for the month.

goal: 162.2

weighed in at 167! 4.8 lbs down. wow, almost halfway there! i'm going on vacation tomorrow, let's see if i can keep up this streak!

I'm a little discouraged... I swear I was down to 156 a couple of weeks ago... Now the lowest I've seen the scale at is 162... 163 for the past few days :(

I've had a weirdly good week. I'm under 165, so that's 7 pounds lost this month. I've actually been eating a little more (mostly in the form of cookies, since I've been doing tons of baking) and, perversely, losing more than usual. I haven't updated my ticker because I'm so sure it's a fluke!

I WAS 203 THIS MORNING! Totally wasn't expecting that! I gasped, lol, and then waited for it to turn off and then got on again and it was the same! :lol:

Very excited. With that woosh, I'm at like, 7.5, so I'm gonna see what I can do in 8 days! :carrot:

Lots of baking to do tonight helps keep me moving and I'm not a sweets person, so I'm good! :D

We CAN! I figure that if we can face these big challenges, and over come them, it will teach us not to care so much about that delicious looking whatever come next summer. This time of year is so food-centric, that I personally think its the hardest part. I have no trouble avoiding mayo-y potato salad or whatever in the summer, but.. man, that hot chocolate looks good! And so do a lot of other things..

We can do this though! KEEP GOING EVERYONE! :D

I know I have been super busy this week at work etc, so I actually haven't had time to eat much. In fact my boss bought me lunch yesterday. And it sat next to me untouched for 5 hours until I has to toss it. But I was really surprised to see I just whooshed off 2 more pounds! This will be motivation to behave through Xmas eve/Xmas Day and the dreaded Xmas cookies! Hope everyone is well out there!!

I'm still stuck at 165. I've been sticking to my daily calories but eating too much at one time, I think. Too many holiday meals and lunches at restaurants.

Hey all! I was down 9 pounds for December and thought I had my 10 pounds locked for the month. And then I had Xmas eve with my sister (pizza and cookie making party,) Xmas day (ham, crescent rolls, scalloped potatoes, Lindor truffles and MORE Xmas cookies,) and then Xmas with my inlaws the next day(they brought over the Bob Evans Turkey feast including pumpkin pie which also made a Ton of leftovers!) so delicious, but I am paying for it. I also looked at my log last night and I went 9 days without going to the gym! I am back up 3 pounds. Ugh. So I am back on track today. I am eating totally on plan and I went to the gym last night even though I reeeeeally didn't want to! Hopefully I lose a pound or two by the first but I doubt I'll hit my 10 pounds. I am so ready to crush January! :)

late, and i havent posted my stats since the first day (sorry!) but i am at 85kg today, so 3kg down from the beginning of the month (6lbs down this month). not quite 10lbs but i'm pretty happy since i haven't exercised in over 2 weeks and i kept myself in check over christmas, although i do admit to enjoying a few treats!

start weight: 88kg (194lbs)
end weight: 85kg (187lbs)
total loss: 3kg (6lbs)
