Yeah, I can finally say that I've lost "more than 100 lbs" rather than "almost 100 lbs."

Yeah!!!!!!!!

First time (in 40 years of dieting) that I've ever lost triple digits before.

I have a theory in life. I never want to say the word "I should have."
If I do it and I fail - I tried. If I do it and I succeed - better for me.

I noticed your ticker on the 'crumbles' post! AWESOME!!!!! You've really peeled off the pounds lately - have you made specific changes?

Nothing I can point to with any certainty. There've been a few changes that I suspect have boosted my success, but I think it's just a whole jumble of many small changes that are finally "adding up."

When I started this journey six years ago (after discovering that I had "accidentally" lost 20 lbs, during the previous year), I was afraid to "diet" because dieting had always in the past resulted in weight gain - so I decided to make healthy changes I was willing to commit to forever, even if no weight loss resulted (and for the first two years, no weight loss did - but I kept off the 20 accidental pounds - even that was an astonishing acheivement though, because I'd never "maintained" a weight loss that long while not also losing). From the start, I assumed (well, hoped) that my progress would "snowball," as I was able to do more, I'd be able to make more and more dramatic changes, to acheive more dramatic results (but I still vowed to stick with it, even if I never saw impressive or even noticeable results).

I think the snowball has finally gained enough momentum to gain some speed.

I've also had some serious mouth and jaw pain issues, and pain issues from the arthritis and fibro. I've been pretty miserable, and the drugs that I've been given for pain (or the antibiotics for the jaw) have been fairly rough on my stomach - which brought back the IBS, so I had to drastically cut back on veggies and fruit, for a while, until my stomach settles back down.

I'm hoping of course that the loss has been a result of my "snowball" theory rather than the health issues, so that the speedier losses won't stop when the health issues have been resolved. But, I'm prepared for either eventuality.

Congrats! Wow your face is glowing! I've been worried about how weight loss will look on my face but honestly when you are losing weight how healthy you are becoming really does reflect on your face and skin. You can see it from how fabulous you are looking! Congrats!

I feel weird saying congrats, because I think that almost implies that it was luck or something outside of your control- and it wasn't, it was all your hard work and determination! You have lost a small person! And I know that you have had a lot of medical issues that you could have easily let side-track you or derail you entirely. You are such an inspiration!

So, the question is- when are you going to post pics?!

Congratulations! I have to admit though that you are a living example of "your weight doesn't define who you are"; I tend to read your many wise and inspirational posts without always looking at your weight loss stats.

But of course your weight loss success and your wisdom are related...one reinforces and informs the other.

Best wishes to you as you go forward from this milestone.
