WW Clubs and Groups - Thursday Chatters
Greetings one and all
Okay, I'm in a very good mood today. I have renewed zeal to get rid of this flab. :s:
Hope everyone has the same mind-set.
It's going to be beautiful weather here today. We're actually having a few days without rain.
I'm going out and pick up small branches and twigs and then vacuum up leaves in my front yard. The people on either side of us have a yard service. Their yards are spotless. Guess it's time to have ours spotless for a day or so. (They don't have trees like we do.)
Suggestions for evening snacks---- I like fruit. You can jazz it up with a little fat free Cool Whip. Like I've mentioned, hot air popcorn or microwave popcorn is very filling and fun wihen watching TV. Or, get some SnackWell cookies that are only 1 pt. each. A couple of those with hot tea is filling to me. Hope this helps some.

Hi All,
Well, I've had a day were I just want to crawl under a rock and not come out!!! I want a new job!!!!! I am so sick of people at central office!!!! I am a good teacher if they would just let me teach! So, I am meeting with a principal at one of the elementary schools to talk to him about teaching kinder. I would love to stay at my school with my principal but I'm ready to get out of special ed for a while. I tell you it was a HORRIBLE DAY! :(
My weight loss is none for the week. I want to see a major drop!!! Don't we all?
I promise I'll start posting more often! I know I've been bad at doing it lately.
Hope everyone is doing good. I think I should go out and sit in my swing and relax and pray my mood gets better.
Susan
To Susan---
 :flow1: :dancer: :balloons:
 ;) :D
Hope all this helps. We all have bad days and need to talk about them. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better.

Thanks Tina,
I do feel a little better today. I am serious about wanting to teach kindergarten next year. I collapased on the couch last night and fell asleep at 9:00. I was mentally and physically exhausted!!!! I think a change will be good.
Tomorrow should be interesting. There will be lots of goodies in the lounge. I plan to stay away from them.
Tina, I bet those arms are beautiful and firm.
I'm sorry and disgusted to say that my arms aren't firm like I wanted them. They do look a little better but not what I wanted. :( I'm going to wear my new gown anyway.
He won't even see my arms. he..he..he

Tina,
You'll look beautiful in your new gown. What color is it?
Susan, my gown is a sleeveless, long white cotton one. On the top, it has embroideried red roses. They are little tiny. I guess they are roses---or some kind of flowers. It's a pretty gown.
I hope the weather stays warm like tonight.

Just wanted to stop and say I hope everyone has a wonderful Valentines Day. ;) .....Sis

Happy Valentine's Day!!!!
Ok, I must confess..... I ate everything that didn't eat me today.... from candy to french fries.
Hope you had a great day!!!
Happy Valentine's Day to all!!!
:cbg:
I didn't eat a hamburger but I ate candy, like Susan.
My son brought me a 1 lb. box of Whitman's. That was my lunch----not the whole box.
We are having take-out pizza for supper. I hope I have room for pizza with all the candy I've been eating.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Tina, your gown sounds pretty. I'm sure your arms look better than you think!!
Suan, believe me. I can relate to how you feel about your job. Our HS principal (who is good) is going to be our new superintendent next year. Just found out the MS principal (who is a jerk with no discipline) will be the new HS guidance counselor. Now we can only hope that the elem. principal decides to go somewhere else. That would make my day. With the new supt., I think we will see some changes, hopefully positive ones.
I love teaching. I wouldn't have stayed in it this long if I didn't. BUT there are so many frustrations with all of the paperwork, administration, etc.
Have a good weekend everyone.
I can relate to what Susan and Tina are saying... I did the V-Day chocolate eating thing today as well. And I sooooo wanted to eat a hamburger and fries this evening, but didnt have any cash on me :( So I ate chicken strips from the grocery store (wrote a check for groceries!)... LOL.
What a lovely sounding gown you have Tina. I'm sure you dazzled your hubby while wearing it!
Well it's nearly midnight, and my guy friend hasnt even mentioned valentines day to me.... hmmmm that should tell me something... good thing my daughter gave me valentine cards :)
Im not gonna weigh tomorrow as Im sure today didnt do me any favors...so its back to journalling big time for next week!!
Have a good weekend all..Dee
Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. Hubby and I got to go out for the evening and spend the evening alone for a change. It was very nice. Doesn't happen too often so we appreciate it when it does. Good luck next weeks WI everyone. After last night I don't know if I will do so well next week but we'll see. Hve a GREAT day all....Sis

Morning,
We have snow on the ground. And of course, they didn't predict it. It's just a dusting but it sure is pretty. We were on our way home at 3:30 am and Pat pointed out it was snowing. I went to hear the band play for the first time since I had my knee replacement. I had a great time!
Tina, I'm sure you were stunning in your dress!!
Dee, Shall we have a chat with that fella? We can set him straight :)
Sis, Glad you and hubby got to spend some time together.
Tammy, I went into teaching thinking there wasn't politics, but boy is there!!! I love teaching too, that's why I want to get back to doing more of it. Instead of spending all of my time preparing and running ARD (or IEP) meetings.
Ok, You know I said I blew on Valentines Day. Yesterday, I did real good until we got to the club. I had diet coke but broke down and had stuff olives. They were wonderful!! :) Stuffed with cheese & salsa then fried. YUM!!
Hope you have a wonderful day!
Hi All,
Dee, we should all have a talk with your male friend! :)
Sis, it sounds like you had a great time. We all need a little time alone with our significant other. :)
Tammy, be careful in that snow.
Susan, you lucky duck---snow! Wow.
Everyone have a great day.

ack! Ate my way through Valentine's-was separated from my fiance and found it hard-we won't be seeing each other for at least another TWO months (he's in the US and I'm here in Canada) because of our schedules...ah ladies, help me not eat my way through the next two months! I have to be in several other people's weddings this summer and want to look good!
Hope you all are having a good day, and that no one has frozen under all this crazy weather we've been having here in the east!
admit i'm going back to watching joe millionaire now ladies-it's soo trashy:)
auntie
02-17-2003, 09:41 PM
Sunnyd,
I'm right there with you on watching Joe Millionare :) I've watched every show.
Hey I watched Joe Millionare tonight also...it was the 1st one I actually got to see....and now it's over...LOL. Guess it paid off in the long run (literally) hmmmmmm I wouldnt mind finding a guy and then getting a million dollars!!
Ok nothing else new here....I think the snow is finally over for the season. The temp is to be in the 50's all this week, but it's still cold in the mornings...brrrrrrrrr.
Hang in there Sunnyd....I think several of us ate our way thru valentines day. But it's a whole new day, and a whole new week. Find an activity you like to do (even reading a good book) so that you keep busy and you can always come online and post here when you get to missing your fiance.
Have a great week all......Dee

Hey all, hope you guys had a fun V-day and weekend. DH and I ended up going to Oregon for the weekend due to some great United efares. It was rainy but beautiful, but I sat on my duff way too much due to all the driving. It's good to be back home and on my own schedule.
I've decided I have to mix things up a bit, time for some new recipes. Things are getting to taste a little boring. I can't wait until the spring produce comes out!!!
Greetings!
Sheree, I'm glad you found us!!!! :)
Sunnyd--do feel free to post here often.
I'm like the rest of ya----I watched the second hour of Joe Millionaire. (I had to watch Fear Factor first.)
I'd only seen one other Joe, but with all the hype, I had to see who won. WOW,
that was a big surprise at the end--a million $ check.
I feel a cold coming on. I'm going to lay off the exercising today and take it easy.
Good luck to everyone staying OP.

Hi all! We're out of school today because of roads being closed because of all the snowing and blowing. I haven't been anywhere since Friday. I told Tim that we are going somewhere even if we drive in to town, turn around, and come home!! We're going stir crazy. Bob did go to work today, so at least he doesn't have to deal with the rest of us!! lol
Haven't done good on exercise at all the past few days. Talk about lazy! Food and water have been good though.
I'm going to call Curves and see if they are open. If they are, I know where I'm heading!!!

02-18-2003, 07:26 PM
Hi All,
Boy, it's nice to see so many posts from my friends. :)
Tammy, I would go stir crazy if I couldn't get out and I felt ok. Hope you were able to venture out! How's school?
Dee, I agree it would be nice to get a million $. My husband said he would go on the show for that much money. How much snow did ya'll get?
Cynthia, ya'll are always on the go!! I'm glad you had fun. I love traveling but I always love coming home the best!!!
Tina, hope you are feeling better! Take your vitamin C.
I'm doing good. It's going to be a long week. I'm already ready for the weekend and it's only Tuesday. That's not a good sign.

02-18-2003, 11:40 PM
Hi~
Dee with how much V day is hyped up how did your guy friend miss the event? Does he remember everything else?
Sunnyd I understand the separation thing...my husband is in the Army and he went to Bosnia (among other things) for one year. I am sure I gained all of my weight while he was gone. You know what you need to do is first of all....keep only good snacks in the house or low point sweet things in the house...tootsie rolls...jello with cool whip (sugar free and ff of course) skinny cows. Then you can have things to indulge in but not that would send you into orbit. Second you should focus on his return and how much weight you could loose and how much better you would look and feel by then!:cb: :cb:
Cynthia do you want some recipes? Have you had the Pizza Soup or Taco Soup! They are really good.:cp:
Tina we love to watch Fear Factor too...we missed the Joe thing...did see it on the news though.:faint: Given a million...that had something up their sleeves to boost ratings...we also love to watch CSI and ER! Hope you are feeling better soon.
Tammy did you get out? I know what it feels like to be stuck inside. It can get so cold here that you just don't want to get outside for anything. You know when the nose hairs freeze it is down right cold. How do you like curves?
Well my hubby is calling me so better close.
Everyone try and be good tomorrow...drink your water and excercise so WI in a real downer.

Hi Everyone,
Hope you all had a good day. I can't believe that tomorrow is Thursday AGAIN!
Sheree, is your husband still in the military? How cold is it there? I love ER too. Not into Fear Factor.
Tina, how are you feeling, girl?
Tammy, are you still snowbound? I'm going tomorrow to talk to my buddy who is an elementary principal. I'm going to discuss my desire to move to kinder. Friends think I'm crazy!
Cynthia, do you have plans for your next trip?
Have a good one!

Hello,
Auntie...yep he has 4 years left until retirement! It is pretty darn cold today...though the sun is out.. It was -20 in town earlier when I took the kids to school..it tends to be a bit warmer at our house (we live on a hill) direct sunlight is a cool thing to have!!
I am going to check the other thread later on to see how things went ...I don't have my WW meeting for a couple of hours...I am mixed about the week...I guess I can only wish for no gain! Vday was great except the lasagna..I did a small portion but they are so fattening...then the other night I went out with the wives in the company and had dinner before going but decided to have coffee and their lowest calorie item.. well htat turned out to be a berry cobbler. I only ate 1/3 of it but it sure was sugary...so I guess we will see. i have really rocked on the working out though. i did that cross country machine yesterday and htought I was going to die!!!
Well have a good day.
Happy Thursday all,
I'm not going to weigh in today as I still feel yucky. I've been more active today than yesterday when I vegged out on the sofa. Today I have been washing loads of clothes.
Sheree, congrats for only eating 1/3 of that berry cobbler. I love that stuff!!!!! Where are you originally from? Do you mind the extreme cold up there? I don't know how I'd do there.
Susan, did you talk to that friend about teaching elementary? I hope it's exactly what you want to do.
Tammy, are you still snowed in?
Cynthia, when is your next trip?
Maureen, are you reading and not posting? :)
Everyone else----hope y'all have a great day!

Hey Tina~
I hope you feel better soon...
I have been washing clothes too...with four kids and a hubby I seem to NEVER have it done...
I am from CA! I don't mind the cold as long as there isn't any wind. Usually it doesn't blow too much in AK. I am cold today though...the sun is great to have though.
Well I guess I will go to the other thread to talk about results...back and forth back and forth!!
Take care,
Tammy

We were able to go out on Tuesday!!!! I went to Curves and it was great! Then we went to Taco Bell for lunch. lol
School has been crazy with days off and delays. Tonight we had conferences, so I'm pooed out. We had 10 people signed up, and they all came!!! We were thrilled! Most of the other teachers in the building had 3 or 4 show up. All of the conferences went well too, so that was nice.

Hi Ladies,
Tina, I'm sorry you are down and out. Take care of yourself and get some rest!! :)
Sheree, you are doing great. I don't think I could live where it was so cold. When it gets in the 50's I'm cold.
Tina, I did talk to my friend today. He was surprised that I was certified to teach kinder. He said if he had an opening he would let me know. He would like for me to come after springbreak so we can talk a little more. He wants to fill me in on how it has changed since I last taught it. He is a great guy. So we will see.
Where is everyone? It's been quiet on our thread lately.

Hi
Auntie the cold does get to you but when the moose come in the yard like last night it makes it worth it or to see the Northern Lights is beautiful. My husband heard something last night ~so Mr. safety went to check it out...keep in mind we live 1/2 up a hill no neighbors! Come to find out a Moma Moose and her calf (tiny thing) was chewing on my frozen raspberry bushes... So he was all excited ~ me I looked for a minute or two then went back to ER! Then he comes running in the room again...come check this out. Apparently he was upstairs and when he came back down he was going to poke his head out the door to see where it went...and the baby moose was an arms length from the door chewing on a tree!!! If it weren't so dark the digital camera would have turned out great!! Moments like those really makes us enjoy being here...though it does make us nervous wiht the kids.. They don't understand to NOT get between a "cow" and her calf! We try to teach them though...anyway enough already huh!!!
Good luck on your teaching again...
Tammy what do you eat when you go Taco Bell? Are there things on there that go with WW? Just wondering. i have stayed away from eating out because I don't think I could figure out teh points. My hubby and I are going on date night this weekend....guess where we are going.....:chin: to see Jungle BOok before our daughter goes to see if MOnday for a B-day party. We like to preview the movies before the kids see them! Hopfully it is good. I wish this thing had spell check..I type really fast and dont' stop to correct anything used to spell doing it!!
Well take care,
Sheree,
Check out this web site for restuarant points. www.dwlz.com/restaurants.html. It's a lifesaver for me sometimes. That's really smart to check out the movies before your children see them. I remember that we went with our son the first time he saw an "R" rated movie......Pretty Woman .
You are soooo lucky to get to see a real live moose up close and personal.
I can say that I've been up close with stingrays. That's a weird experience!!!!!
Take care and enjoy your weekend.
Tina

Sheree, I have an old WW fast food book, so I use that when I'm counting the points. I really don't watch what I eat when we go out, because we don't go out to eat very often anymore. Sometimes I'll have a chicken soft taco and split nachos with my son.

Wow, what a sight to see Moose in your yard. I bet it is absolutely beautiful. And the Northern Lights :) I would love to see them some day. I love nature!!!
Ok, I ended up going out last night with 2 girlfriends. We had Mexican food, needless to say that included chips and margaritas. Today, I feel bloated like a beach ball. Can you say LOTS OF WATER!!!
Tina, are you feeling better?
Tammy, how is everything going?

Hello All,
Just dropping by to ask a question....
Is there a reason that you all weigh in on Thursday? My present weigh-in day is Tuesday and I'm wondering if I should switch days.
Can anyone fill me in?
Thanks,
"Bright"
auntie
02-23-2003, 11:29 AM
Hi Bright,
I weigh in on Friday. No particular reason either. I used to weigh in on Thursday because that was the only time there was a meeting in my town. Now I'm doing it at home. There are a couple of us that don't weigh on Thursday but it doesnt' stop us from chatting here. We hope you join us.
Sheree~AK
02-23-2003, 02:08 PM
I weigh in on Thursday here because it is the only noon time WI meeting!!
SO you can join in on the chatting if you like...
We LOVE To have the moose in the yard...BUT... teh kids can get hurt by them so it is a little nerve racking some times. We have to real careful in the summer. I can not just let them go out side to play..unless they are on the balcony. Moose won't go on the balcony. The dogs are good for warning us, so they usually go out with the kids. One day the kdis made it out in the yard and I investigated after a few minutes of silence (always trouble then huh) Well I went out and said get up here on the balcony and no kidding with in 15 minutes those two in the picture where in the yard.. I don't know if you have seen any in pictures up close but they are HUGE. They can weigh 800-1200 lbs! I had a fox run across teh road yesterday in front of my car. We love the northern lights too...can get cold and your neck hurts after awhile from looking. We decided that if we stay here and build then we are going to have a top floor room with windows and lounge chairs to Northern Lights gaze....
I really like DWLZ I will check out the restaurant section...thank you! String rays....yikes.. I have a fear of teh ocean can't see below us.
Happy Sunday to everyone!!!!
Bright , there's no one day better than another to weigh-in. I started weighing on Thursdays and thought I'd see if anyone else weighing that day wanted to "talk"
Like Susan said, some of the group weighs on different days now. We never kick out anyone. I'm glad you posted. Please write here if you can.
Sheree, I love that photo!
I am feeling good now, thanks for asking. :) I rested enough so it didn't get me down.
Hope everyone is thawed out now.

Evenin All,
I had a very eventful weekend. I went out Friday night with 2 girlfriends. Then last night went with Pat to see the band. They were great like usual. However, I am just a little partial. :)
Bright, we hope join us.
Tina, so glad you are feeling better. Is it getting cold down there yet? The cold front hit today. Winds were up to 22 miles per hour.
Sheree, Mckinney is about 30 miles north of Dallas, TX. I grew up in San Antonio.
Hope everyone has a peaceful evening.

Hey Susan: my MIL lives in Graham TX heard of it?
have you guys heard the phrase "pulling up" here on other threads? What does that mean?
Don't forget to journal.....and drink water.....excercise....
I went to a homeshow today...talked to a few different work out business...one was curves. I don't htink I have the time to do that. If I had all 4 kids in school then I could but right now I am going to stick to the free gyms on the Army post. I also talked to a lady about that big ball they roll around on!! Have you guys seen that? Pretty funny thing. I htink I would fall off on my rump!!!
Take care,

Hi everyone,
We have sleet here today. It's suppose to be ugly tonight and tomorrow. And it's writing TAKS day (It's the big test for test) Don't know what will happen if there isn't school. Oh well. :)
Sheree, I love Curves! It's the one thing that I stick with it. Just haven't been able to go since I had my partial knee replacement. I've done the big ball but you have to have some coordination... and I don't have ANY :) I like the idea of a free gym on the base. It's nice that ya'll can use it. Do they have a bowling alley too? I grew up in San Antonio a big military town.
Tina, how are you feeling today?
Tammy, what's going on?

Hi Ladies,
Have been away for the past little while doing my market research for school so have been out of touch! Have returned to the land of the living and back on the program-how's everyone else doing (hopefully you're not buried in the snow/sleet)! Have a good week!
auntie
02-24-2003, 08:20 PM
Can ya'll believe it school has already been cancelled for tomorrow! My principal called at 6:30 and said it's off. I hate to have to make up the day but would rather do that than drive in the ice.
Sheree~AK
02-24-2003, 09:17 PM
I hate to hear about bad weather...we are actually having temps of 33 or so which is GREAT! BUT not so great once things begin to melt then freeze at night! Uggh. makes for awful driving conditions. At least you know before you wake up in the morning. We have to turn the radio on and check the news for Fairbanks.
Welcome back SunnyD Are you OP? Great for you to jump back into it. I am afraid to go off track for fear of not getting back on track. I have this drive to loose weight...I don't know if it is the money I spend each week at teh meetings or if it is I have just finally decided to get off my rump and do something. I am really excited because I put on these jeans that I usually get a tummy ache after a few hours from how tight they are on me. I can actually put both of my hands at my tummy and still have room to spare. These are going to be my pants I hold up after I loose enough weight. You know how you see those pictures of the people holding these huge clothes next to them. Are those really real???? Well I am going to do it!
auntie
02-24-2003, 09:37 PM
That's a great feeling Sheree!!! You are going to do it!!!!
They usually don't call off school so early. It started sleeting about 1:30 today. Our back yard is covered. One of our horses keeps standing out in it. Pat finally went and locked them in their stalls. I feel better knowing that they are up.
SunnyD, glad you are back!
Ok, I just noticed that Pat took the scale away!!!! :( He told me that I need to stop obessing what the scale says! He is right but I didn't think he would hide it. How dare him :)
Sheree~AK
02-24-2003, 09:44 PM
DOn't weigh yourself everyday...that will drive you nuts. I don't own a scale and glad for it. Just think you are doing great with points and excercise and you only loose 1 # what a drag but hey it is down 1 # and not up. AND could you imagine tracking that 1# all week long...that would be depressing to see the scale move a digit at a time... So once a week is a good amount and some poeple don't even do that. I do weather I am going to be up or down. I don't want it up (who does) but would rather it stay the same... Maybe the horse thought it felt nice...a back massage!! LOL So do you know where Graham TX is?
Sheree~AK
02-24-2003, 09:46 PM
Well better go fix dinner for the kids and going to try a new recipe with stir fry and shrimp!!! MM MM Good! I need to drink a glass of water before I begin in the kitchen...to not munch! Take care,
Ok its cold here tonight! A whopping 7degrees!! We got snow on Sun and some today, school was cancelled for Mon, and now Tues even. Unfortunately everything was cancelled on Sun around these parts...business' and church's were even closed. I was planning a birthday party for my kid and that of course got cancelled :( Stayed inside all day today...called into work :)
Sheree how did your new recipe turn out? It sounds like it would be good. I've never seen a moose (except on tv), but we get tons of deer in our yard here. They tend to be a pain when it comes to driving, but we never get tired of looking at them when we aren't driving.
Welcome to the thread Bright, hope you stay with us and chat. Like the others have said, we dont all weigh on the same day. I used to do Thur cause it was the only "lunch" time WI other wise I had to drive back to town at night and 30 miles 1 way was too far just for that. Now I weigh on Sat mostly.
Welcome back Sunnyd...hope your market research went well!
Funny you should mention buried in the snow...as I think I am, we could use some :flow2: sunshine here.
Well its cold and late som I'm off to bed... hope everyone has a good day tomorrow...
More rain here-----
Sunnyd - we're so glad you are back with us. :)
Dee, Don't those deer eat everything in your yard---flowers, veggies, etc.? I'd love to see them, though.
When we go to my girlfriend's house, I see them. They live way back from the road and sometimes a deer will run across their road.
Kady, Glen, Sis, Cynthia, Maureen, how are y'all doing??????
Susan, boy, you lucked out with a day off. That way, no one will miss the TASS day. (is that the oneI mean?) And, tell Pat to bring back your scales.
Question for Sheree or anyone ----when you use your treadmill, how long do you usually stay on? I've been walking for at least 30 min. at a time.
Everyone, drink that water! Yesterday, I actually drank 8 glasses.
Tina

BRRRRRRRRRR it is just too cold for me!!!!! We got about 2 inches of pure ICE!!
Tina, can you believe him taking that scale? He said he will bring it out once a month for me :) He is too funny.
Sheree, I forgot I never answered your question about Graham. I have heard of it, but right off the top of my head I don't know where it is. I'm going to look it up.
Dee, was your daughter disappointed about the party? Will you move it to another weekend? :hat:
Sunnyd, how was the research? Is it all over with now?
I'm off to make something to eat and to take some pictures for my folks of the weather. They love to see them when it does stuff up here. However, Pat will be the one that will have to go outside. I walked out of school like I was 90 years old. A girlfriend hanging on to me and her daughter walking close on the other side. I normally am not scared but certainly didn't want to fall. At least not yet.
Stay warm!!

We got some snow last night...just in time because it sure was warm yesterday that it would have been icey this am! It just erks me because we just HAD the hill snow plowed and that dude isn't cheap:p
Answer: I used to walk on the treadmill 30 minutes now I try to up the speed and walk at least 2 miles around 43 minutes. I have the setting at 3.2 How fast are you going?:strong: If I go too much faster i will have to hold on wtih both hands to not fall off. I walked 60 mintues on sunday and went 3 1/4 miles.
Graham is about 45 minutes from Whichita Falls. Wow 2 inches of ice I would be afraid to walk too. That is a work out in itself. You hold your self so funny and tighten up your muscles to brace your self for a fall that when you are finally settled in your car or on dry land you loosen up and later on feel like you ran a marathon. I think you shoulld weigh yourself more than once a month you need some encouragement...by seeing the scale go down throught he month. It is tough to stay OP for a week..but when the numbers are down then you can go another week. I don't htink I could weigh in on monday because if the time to blow it would the weekend. What grade do you teach now?
Where we lived in CA we always had deer around our yard. my parents are big hunters if they ran one over they would toss it in the back of teh jeep and haul it into the garage to gut... I used to hate to walk in on that...I was not a hunter type...though living in AK I am sure it will change...I like to cook with the lean meat...moose/buffalo/carabou...very good for you.
Good for you Tina for drinking all htat water.:cb: I carry water wtih me all day long...but do better sometimes to just down a few glasses at a time. Of course after I work out I can down over 30 oz! That is when I get a lot of it down. You knwo funny thing I don't miss that soda I used to drink daily. I crave a DP every once in a while and you know what I get one! (twice in 2 months not too bad) I am really amazed at teh fact that I don't crave more foods...We used to eat out 3 times a week and have not gone out but 2 times also...
Hey that Shrimp recipe was teh bomb and it was low points too...Really easy too...want teh recipe????:hyper: You know moose are really an ugly thing...big and gangly just amazing to watch. It is a bit scarey and you know what were worried about teh bear when we first moved here:sp: but havent really thought about tehm On the other side of town there was bear situation...getting into the food supply. We live on a hill so thought hey maybe there are some hybernating bears up there...I guess though they like to eat blue berries and we have raspberries on our hill...:T wild raspberry jam....
Well my daughter woke up at 2 am throwing up and a high fever so I better go try some toast and see if she an keep it down. It is a hard thing to keep three kids away from each other...my hubby keeps telling me to keep them sererated...:?: Not something they want to do... We just all (6 of us) got over that throwing up bug last week and here we go again......can I quaranteen her off in the house??? She won't think that isn't too funny.
My fingers go faster than my brain so I mess up words all the time sorry...I don't have time to go back re read to correct...I try to do it as I am typing.....
Take care and have a good day!

I like how we can change our picture under our name all the time...will keep you updated with new AK pictures...as I get them!!!
Good afternoon,
It's raining and cold here. At least we aren't having the ice. The line for ice is about an hour north of here.
Sheree, thanks for the new moose photo. :)
You asked about my walking speed-----I start out at 2.5 to warm up. Then, I set it at 3.0.
At different intervals, I speed up to 3.5 for about 3 min. at a time (and, I hold on ).
Susan, is there a grocery store or someplace where you can weigh? We have an old fashioned grocery near us that has a scale. I'm with Sheree, you need to weigh more than once a month.
Y'all take care and stay warm.

I'm going to weigh at school. He just doesn't have to know that I'm doing it. I'll find the scale sooner or later. I have a funny feeling that he took it out to the barn. He was taking some stuff out there for storage. We have a loft that has a/c and heating and we store stuff in it. I noticed the scale was gone when I noticed that my crutches and other things were gone. I know he is just trying to help but he doesn't realize that I need to see the changes.
Wonder if we'll have school tomorrow????? They say more sleet is coming tonight.
Sheree, I love the new picture.
Here we go again with the snow :p We didnt have any snow today, but they are forcasting it for Wed and Fri again. I wish that ground hog would have stayed in his hole!! LOL. Yes, Im going to reschedule my daughter a bowling party once we are sure the weather is cleared up. She understood...and she got to go play in the snow.
The deer don't bother us, as I don't have anything good for them to eat. Unless they want to eat weeds :D I don't do any gardening stuff, and I live basically in the middle of a field, so they can eat all the weeds so I dont have to mow em!
Susan I agree with Sheree and Tina you need to weigh every now and then. I myself weigh daily and if I don't I will blow it off and then start gaining again like I did last year.
Sheree I hope you don't all come down with the flu stuff again. Yea it is hard to keep kids separate, and Im sure the sick one doesnt want to be all alone. Sounds like you have your hands full.
have a good day all... :cp:
How are all those in really cold weather??? It's cold here (for us, that is). It's 38 and drizzling. Brrr..... I'm tired of rainy weather!!!!!
Dee, IN my mind, I have a picture of your house in the field. I bet you have wildflowers sometimes, don't you? I planted wildflower seeds in my old veggie garden last year and really enjoyed them.
Susan, weighing at school is a great idea.
Kady, where are you girl?????
Tomorrow is weigh in for some of us. Good luck to everyone this week. :):):):)

Hi Everyone,
It's another day off! I really wanted to go to school today because I hate the fact that we will have to make up 2 days now. It never got above 28 degrees yesterday. Hope it starts to thaw here.
Tina, I don't blame you about being tired of rainy weather. I don't mind rain but I don't like cold and rainy. It goes right through you.
Dee, having deer would be nice. I know they can be a pain eating everything. I'm glad your daughter wasn't upset about her party.
Sheree, how is Alaska? I also love the new moose picture. Thanks for sharing with us.
Hope everyone is doing well?

We've missed 5 days of school so far this year and we've had about a zillion 2-hour delays. We have 5 extra days built into our schedule, so as of right now we don't have to make up any days.
Last night on the news they said that last winter, this are had 7.5 inches of snow. We've already had 44.5 inches this year. And it's still February!!!
Still enjoying my trips to Curves. Also that Walk Away the Pounds video is alot of fun too.
Hopefully everyone has a great weigh in this week, no matter when you get there!
I haven't been on the computer much this week. Need to get out of that rut!! lol
Good morning,
I'm going to start a new thread. This one is really getting long.!
