I am having some issues with dry skin...and especially my scalp. Have any of you experienced this with IP? I have never in my life had this problem on my head. My hair is definitely thinner as well. I am hoping that I am only about a month or so from maintenance so I am hoping once I am done with P1 that I will see some normalcy return for my skin, scalp...and even TOM.

Would love to hear from anyone who is on IP that has dealt with this type of side effect...

I had some issues with dry skin, chapped lips and my hair thinning, I added the omega 3, the enzymes, and the anit-oxy's in my third week. They seem to be making a difference, actually my hair is shiny and growing so fast now that I have had 2 haircuts since starting on Sept 20

It is a pretty common problem on IP. GNC has a hair and nail supplement that helped me quite a bit. For the dry skin, I find the best relief is Aveda's Hand Relief but I wouldn't use it on my scalp. (My hands got really dry and flakey.) Maybe you could ask whoever does your hair if they have a suggestion for a moisturizing shampoo/conditioner. It got better for me when I phased off if that is any consolation.

I too have noticed my lips and hair is dry. It's weird how this affects alot more than just weight. It has also changed my energy, TOM and asthma. It's starting to sound like SUGAR effect the entire body.
