Default Lost 28 pounds since late June!

Just checking in. I know reading other people's stories has helped with my motivation and I hope I can do the same for everyone else here.

Not much to say, really. I bought a treadmill in late June and have been running mostly consistently on it. I started out with the C25K program, but I just run each week until it no longer feels hard. Then I move up. I'm still only on week four but if I can lose almost thirty pounds by doing what I've been doing so far, I should be in pretty good shape by the time I am ready to run week nine or ten.

I joined Weight Watchers in Mid-September and have actually lost 14 pounds since then, so it definitely jump-started a new round of weight loss for me. I know the pros and cons but I can safely say that it has worked out quite well for me. I'm about 5 pounds away from my readjusted Weight Watchers 10% (although I hit my own personal 10% a couple weeks ago).

There have been a couple slumps where I have stopped paying attention to diet or exercise, but I think my eating habits have evolved as such that I'm more aware of what I'm eating even if I'm not writing it down. I only gained a pound or two during one, and just maintained during the other. It's encouraging. I still get frustrated that I have lost 30 pounds and feel like I still look very much the same. I have quite a ways to go before I feel "normal" sized (in fact, I've always been heavy so I'm excited to get to a point where I feel ... small? Just average), but the success I've had thus far is wonderful. Thanks for reading!

Congrats on your successes so far. I know what you mean, about just being more aware of what you are eating. I am trying to write everything down but I slack off with that sometimes. but still try to make wise choices.

I know what you mean about losing a good amount of weight but not feeling any smaller. That's where taking pictures every month or so really helps. I've been doing that, and I can really tell a difference when I compare to the previous months.

You've done an amazing job so far and with every 10-pound loss you will have until you reach goal, you are going to feel better and better and really see that difference. And I'm sure you must be getting lots of compliments.

Keep it up!
