Happy Hump Day!

Sounds like everyone is having a pretty good week. I went to a HS game last night and was able to avoid the popcorn at the concessions, but my it did smell good. The players even threw candy out to the crowd (I love candy!) and the skittles came to me. I promptly tucked them into my purse and they are going in my son's lunch today! Everyone doing o.k. with all the Halloween candy? I had to stop by a store on way home from game and was looking at Halloween treats for my nieces/nephews. Wow-that was hard but I just ignored it the best I could. They are too little to eat candy anyway, so have to buy non-food treats, unfortunately all in the same area! We have a lot of trick or treaters, but I am not buying my candy until the day or so before and not opening it until Halloween night. I will be fine! I can do this! My diet mantra is "This is not the last time in my life that I will have____________" (fill in the blank) halloween candy, pie, mashed potatoes, whatever. this is a phase and we can do it!

Since I started this diet on sept. 26th, I set for myself a goal of being down 20# by Halloween. This also keeps me focused. Not positive it will happen but I am close with 2 weeks to go.

Need to figure out tonight's dinner. I usually do my menus a week ahead, but getting low on entree groceries around here and won't shop until after payday on Friday! Usually these are the nights I would make a pasta meal, but that's not going to happen (at least for me!). What is everyone having? What phase are you on? Will give some ideas for now and later!

Hello everyone. I haven't been on the daily chat in a while. Just wanted to pop in and say hi. I'm still doing well in maintenance. I had my first cheat/free day on Sunday, and the scale went up two pounds, but now it's headed back in the right direction.

wuv2bloved - just wanted to say a big shout out "thank you" for always starting the daily chat. You are a rock star! You are doing really well, and I am watching your progress and seeing how you answer questions and motivate others every single day. You have everything to be proud of.

It's a rainy Wednesday here in Northern VA. I am working from home today, then off to NYC tomorrow. It's my first business trip since being on maintenance. I will probably end up doing Phase 3 while I am away, simply because I can't see finding carbs without fat at a restaurant and I'd like to eat something without asking ten million questions.

On a nice note, I did get takeout last night from a place called Chicken Out. They have menu items listed with a little symbol "ff" for fat free. I was able to eat mashed sweet potatoes with my chicken and veggies, and enjoyed a whole wheat dinner roll. They were delightful, albeit a little too sweet. On a funnier note, I had to laugh out loud when someone had labeled their "gluten free" salads with a fabulous typo. The cobb salad said "gluton free". The other people in line looked at me like I was strange. I kept the whole thing to myself.

Ideas...
Instead of pasta, make zucchini noodles for you. This will give you the basic idea. http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/zucchin...-2/detail.aspx
Here is another page with recipes: http://idealweightacadiana.com/recipes

Also, if you are on facebook, you should "like" the following pages as they put recipes out all the time:
1) Ideal Protein - Lohja, Finland
2) Ideal Protein AZ

There is a lot of cross polination of ideas between these two, but I consider that a good thing.

Enjoy!

Good morning! I know I have been scarce on the boards lately- work and life are getting in the way of 3FC!

WI this morning, down another 1.8, bringing my total to 32# even and bringing me 7.8# from goal.

Good luck to all those who weigh in today! Wish I could spend more time with you. The motivation and stories on here are so inspiring! But I am still plugging along and jumping on whenever I can.

Good morning everyone! I forgot to take my mag/cal last night and then I don't sleep well, so I am up early again. I weighed on both of my scales and I don't think I will make it to the 150's at weigh in this morning. It's my own darn fault for eating 2 Pure Protein bars in one day for several days these last 2 weeks. I need to get over this diet fatigue and just get these last ten pounds off. Maybe a little self sabotage going on here?

I'll let you know how it turns out. I have school till one and then trainings /workshops until 7pm. Going to be a long day.

I have candy on my desk and also a big dish on my filing cabinet and the front desk is full of it now as you walk into work so it's everywhere. I can honestly say it doesn't tempt me. You can do it! Just keep that Halloween goal in mind at all times!

I wondered what happened to you. 1.8 is great when so close to goal. I can't wait to be only single digits away!

You may surprise yourself. I was back down to where I was Saturday this morning so if I stay put I will be able to "officially" say I hit the 150s. TOM came on full force this morning so who knows what my weigh in will show. Nothing I can do but hope for bigger numbers next week. Good luck to you! Try and have only 1 bar this week. But do keep in mind that it could've been worse. An extra bar here and there is not the end of the world. We can do this!

Pulled out a scarf this morning to wear to work because it's so stinkin cold here all of the sudden. I took a new pic to put in my avatar because my bare arms were making me cold. Good luck to those who have weigh ins today!

Good morning everyone..It is cold here also..dragging out sweaters.
I also have Halloween candy everywhere at work. I like the idea of buying the candy right before Halloween and then getting rid of it!
I am hanging on with Phase 2 for another week. Then hopefully will move to Phase 3.
Good luck on WIs today..Also..great losses posted today!

Itsaboutime..I like your new picture!

Sandy..Hang in there through the diet fatigue..you are close to your goal. The

Maile, thanks! How many weeks are you on Phase 2? Did you start it when you reached 90% of your goal? Somewhere I read that IP trainers are suggesting that you don't start phase 2 until you reach 100% of your goal. Am I imagining that or is it true? Anyone know?

I was told 90% but I'm really hoping to reach 100% before I move. If I didn't have a vacation planned I wouldn't move for sure until 100% but that's because I really want to lose another 5 pounds or so and am hoping to do it in phase 2. If I don't, I want to be at goal so I don't beat myself up about it. My chiropractor moved to 2 because she was stalling in 1 and her husband had already moved and stuff and I talked to her Monday night and she's lost 6 more pounds in the 2.5 weeks she's been in phase 2. I hope to be able to say the same!
