Greetings Losers.

Not all of us continue to weigh that day but are still here together.
I am really looking forward to weigh-in this week. I feel sooooo good. I'm finally on the downward cycle.

Tina,
Hello, this Thursday will be my first weigh-in for Weight Watchers.
I am so psyched about it.
I have been pretty good maintaining my points during this past week, and I am working out almost 4 days out of the week.
If you have any point suggestions , please share them with me. I am having a really hard time with nightime cravings! I don't know what it is.
I have been grabbing for the fat-free pudding with the fat-free cool whip..
Or I run and jump in the shower.
Talk to you soon!
Well tonight I lost another 1.2 lbs for a total of 102 lbs
I also got my lifetime membership tonight. The leader and receptionists gave me a mini rose plant and card...and everyone clapped....it was wonderful.
Wishing the same success for all of you:lol: :dizzy:

Reina--- welcome to the thread!!!! :):):)
I will think about your question of points and write you later.
For now, get you some microwave popcorn---fat free type, of course. That's very filling and good!
Kady, Kady, Kady------ You did it!!!!! I am so proud of you. You are the best!
Good luck to everyone else this week.

Welcome Reina.
Dropped another 2.8 lbs. at WI today for a total of 23.4 lbs. lost. Watch out Kady, I'm gunning for you, ;) (like in about 10 months or something, but hey, a girl can dream, eh?).
I'm really motivated to do well this coming week. I'd love to be able to put the 25-lb magnet in DH's V-day card. EXERCISE!!!
WAY TO GO KADY!! I seem to have stayed the same this week. Oh well its better than a gain. :) Maybe next week. Have a great weekend all....Sis :D

Welcome to the group Reina!! This is a great group of women. Lots of support for the weight loss and just everyday life issues.
Awesome job Kady!! I hope (like Chillin) to be there someday!!
I was down 1.5 pounds so I was very excited. Things seem to be going in the downward direction better in 2003. Going to Curves and doing that walking video have definitely helped. Of course, journaling has helped too!!
We are on a 2-hour delay this morning because of slick roads. Tim and the Academic Team are leaving in 30 minutes to head for a competition. Because of that, we didn't get to sleep in. They are leaving an hour later than they originally planned though, so I guess we got to sleep a little longer.
Have a great weekend everyone! We have ball games and band booster soup supper. There's always something going on. lol

Way to go Glen on your great loss!!
Susan, good job on loosing...every little bit helps.
Congrats to everyone that loss... like Tina said we had several people loosing this week.
I wasn't one of em...but thats ok. I just need to concentrate on journalling better this coming week.
Dee
Thank you everyone. I couldnt have done this without the support and kind words of everyone on this site....we are all on the same journey.
Believe it and it will become reality.
I did my "unofficial" weigh in this morning. I was up 2 pounds. I'm not surprised because I had major water retention from too many Diet Cokes. Will I ever learn!!!!!!!!:(
Hope everyone else had better results.
Tina
Well I seem to have stayed the same this week. Thats ok I guess. I will have to work harder at keeping my points down. I don't go over I just think I need to stay in the lower end of the range. Hope everyone else is having good luck this week. Have a great week end all....Sis :D

Hello Ladies,
Happy Valentine's Day
Sorry, I couldn't find the thread this week.
Well,
First off, Congrats KADY!!!!!!!!! That is AWESOME....
:cb: :balloons: :dancer:
Congratulations to all of you who lost last week, hope you had a great weigh-in yesterday.
I did lose 1.6lbs last week Thursday, and I lost another 1.6lbs last night!
I think this WW is really working for me!
My goal from last October was to be down 50lbs by June '03. If I keep consistant, I will be down to 29lbs by June '03. I think that is totally doable!!! Don't you???
I joined curves 2 weeks ago, and I really think that is helping me keep on track with WW.
Have a blessed Weekend!!

Congrats to all of the losers this week!!! Unfortunately, I'm not one of them. I was up 1.5, but it is TOM so I'll hope for a loss next week.
I joined Curves right before Thanksgiving. It's an exercise place for women only. I love it!! I only went 3 times in December because of bronchitis, did great in January, and now Feb. is about like Dec. was but it has been ball games and meetings to go to. I am back on both the inhalers again because the coughing started again this week.
At my last weigh-in at Curves (beginning of Feb.) I had lost 14 pounds and over 11 pounds of body fat. Middle of Jan. I had lost 8 inches. I'm supposed to get measured the 15th. I guess that's tomorrow. Not sure if I'll make if there. We are having snow and freezing rain. Oh boy!!
I'm meeting some friends in Chicago the first weekend of May, so I want to be down more inches and pounds by then!! This summer the family will be going to Georgia right on the ocean. I know we'll be on the beach so I need to get some major changes made!!
Congrats to those that loss this past week. Im skipping W/I too as I know I ate too much candy today, but hey it was V-day "yum yum" *S*.
Way to go Mia on your losses! Yes your plan sounds "doable". I'm sure you will have no trouble hitting your summer time goal by June. Keep up the good work!!
Ok off to bed.....Dee

Hello everyone,
I just found your group of WI on thursday and I do too. So the thing is you all only talk at WI time? :spin:
Well I joined 01/02/03:hat: I began at S224/C210/???(135) I really don't know. :judge: Well I began great then the past few weeks I have tapered off and had a loss of .6 ~ 1.8 ~ .2 last Thursday. I think not drinking all of the water is part of my problem...not walking on the treadmill for 3 days because I had a stomach bug:yikes: and I seem to have a problem eating to all of my points. My hubby is really supportive and doesn't mind eating what ever I serve but he doesn't really get the points thing and thinks I am over eating then. I think I have figured out eating a slim fast (with Banana) in the am is not all that good either. But it is too low of points for the beginning of the day. It is not uncommon for me to end the day with 6-10 points and I just can't eat more than 1 skinny cow!:cloud9: If anyone has any advise I would greatly appreciate it. A little about myself...I live in AK and have 4 kids under 9 and been married for 13.5 years. Have a great weekend.

We have a Chatter's Thread too. Sometimes I end up chatting on the WI thread instead of the Chatters thread! I think that's from old age. lol
This is a great group to share your ups and downs with. Not just those with weight loss. Just life in general. We are here to support and encourage each other no matter what is going on.
Welcome to a wonderful group! Hope you like it here.
Alaska was the topic of conversation with some friends the other day. They are planning a cruise. A couple of my cousins went there a couple years ago. We all live in Ohio, so to me that's like the other side of the world!
Right now I'd like to be some place warm with no snow. Our driveway is drifted shut. My son was out working on it earlier today so my hubby could pull in after work. Since it's still blowing and snowing, we'll deal with it tomorrow. Hubby doesn't work, so we'll have all day. I'm sure church will be cancelled with the drifting so we won't have to worry about getting out in the morning.

sherree: try eating more points for 2 weeks. your metabolism has slowed because your not eating enough. the first week you may gain, but the next week you'll loose. drink your water as it flushs your body of all the bad things. ask your leader for ideas. show her a journa for a week. ttfn

Sounds great...I think if I do cap on my points things would look brighter...I should expect a weight gain huh? That is dreary...but I can handle it because the end result is a good thing.:D
I am going to try and shift my work out around too...to not get stuck in a rut..so soon.
I think there are more places in the lower 48 that is currently getting more snow than good 'ol AK! No problem.

Hi Guys,
Glen, don't beat yourself up over your gain! It will be off next week. I hope you enjoyed your beer!! :) I know I would have.
Sheree, welcome to the group. We have a great group here. As Tammy said, we have a thread called "Thursday Chatters" That is where we chat. However, at times our weigh in thread turns into a chatter thread.
Tammy, we got snow here. You would laugh because it was great. It was just a dusting. I made a snowball about the size of a key lime to throw at Pat. He just laughed. Ya'll be careful up there!
Greetings on a cold Sunday!
Sheree , welcome to this great group. We have lots of fun.
As everyone has told you, Thursday Chatters is our other thread.
When you write a post (reply), look at the bottom of it and you'll see where it says "E-Mail Notification". Be sure to check that so you'll be notified when anyone posts. It makes it lots easier to find us that way.
I am from Texas and so is Susan. Have you always lived in Alaska?
Good luck at your next weigh-in and join us on the other thread.

Where is the Thursday chat thread...I looked and did not have any luck...help!
Sheree,
The Thursday Chatters thread is in the same place at the weigh-in results thread, WW Weigh Ins and Countdowns.
Just look at the list. Tell us if you are still having problems. Okay!
Tina
I'm thinking on skipping WI this week. I kind of blew it over the Valentine week end. I'm getting back on track now but I don't want to get discouraged if its up too much. Oh well, we'll see when Thurs. rolls around. Hope everyone else has good luck at WI this week. Have a great day....Sis

:) glen
Good luck to all who weigh this week!!!!
Since I'm not feeling good, I'm going to pass on it today.
Yesterday was our son's birthday. He wanted to go to a local seafood place. I gave in to my craving for fried shrimp and baked potato. Ooooh, very good! I baked him a chocolate cake with chocolate icing. I made the cake as fat free as possible. Now that icing was a different subject. :)
Again, good luck to all who weigh.

Well am I the only one who went to WI??
It is 4 pm here and I am on AK time!!
Well wtih my two little indulges I guess it was ok with a 1# loss!
I am down 15 now. I am feeling like I am going to a lot of work for a small pound a week...but my leader straightened me out today...at least it has been a loss every week and not a gain. I know all the brighter side of things...It jsut seems mental with me. If you knew me in Dec you would have thought I was this overweight slug...now I seem different. Well anyway better end now. Hope all had a good week and have a good one for next Thursday!
take care,
Tammy

I was down 2.5 pounds from last week. Very pleased with that.
Tuesday was my official weigh and get measured at Curves. I am down 16 pounds, 14.5 inches, and 12.15 body fat pounds. Thrilled to say the least!
My arms are still the same! I need to do something more than what I'm doing. I thought the weights would make some changes, but so far nothing.

Hello everyone,
Well, I wish I had some great news, but I was only down 2oz this week!.
I expected a gain, we ate out 4 days this week, and I just can't keep count like that.
But next week, I will be down more than a 1lb, I can guarantee that!
Congrats to all who lost this week, and for those who didn't, don't get discouraged. Be accountable and move on! Together will succeed!
I stayed the same :(
Congrats to everyone else that W/I...whether it was a loss or not. You at least had the motivation to go!!
Good luck all on our journey's to goal!!
Dee
Wow!!!
What a great group-----
Sheree, that pound is wonderful. You are in a great "rut" :)
Tammy-don't worry about the arms, it will come off in time. You have lost inspite of being snowed in and that's fantastic.
Susan, I hope you have a great weigh-in.
Dee-staying the same is wonderful in my book.
Hope everyone who weighs this week has good results. If you don't have perfect results, post anyway!!!!

WOW Tammy all those inches...where do they measure you to figure that out? I have been trying to measure but don't think I am doing it right! Kudo's to you on the loss!
Have a good week
Well beleive it or not I weighed today and it says I am down .5 lb.
I am very happy. I have really cut back the last 3 days though so that probably helped a lot. Onederland is in my sites! I want to get there SOON. :) Another 10 lbs to go approx. Hope everyone else had good luck this week. Have a SUPER weekend....Sis :D

What a great attitude Susan... I think I would be harder on myself and I know I hate when TOM is here because then I feel like it is almost a waste of a week, but I still trudge forward... Great Glen you are doing great...YOU don't have to worry about TOM...and yo yoing... :-)

Sheree,
You are so sweet. I do beat myself up sometimes. I do know that I do well tand then for about 2 weeks I have a gain. I also lose slow. I love the picture. I noticed it when you added it. How long have you lived in Alaska?
Glen, Sheree is right! You are luck, Man!!!! :)
Sheree~AK
02-23-2003, 02:15 PM
Where is McKinney TX? We have lived in AK for one year and 2 days... I guess a slow loss is better than a gain..........My hubby is always giving me words of encouragment like how long did it take you to gain the weight it is going to be slow to loose...but you know what I want to loose a zillion every week!!! Ok maybe more than a lb! I get encouraged by the stories I hear from people that loose a lot in a short amount of time then think oh man if I keep going like I am it is going to take a long time for me. But you know what I then read about those diferent people gaining it back maybe because they did not make that life style change instead of just dieting to loose...no real answer. I know I like to chat because I like the support that we are all doing the same thing and after teh same goal.. Not only to loose the lbs but to get healthier and in shape. I notice a difference from walking on the tread mill... Well better stop talking.
Hi all,
Susan, you'll do better next weigh-in. Salt is a killer on the scales.
Sheree, I love that photo. It's so hard to believe that you see moose in your yard.
I feel the same way---I want the pounds to come off instantly . My metabolism has slowed down and that doesn't help.
I'm aiming for a big loss this week.
Good luck everyone.
I'm starting us a new thread now.
Tina
