Today, I walked really fast on the treadmill for 10 minutes and then lightly jogged for 20 minutes. My goal is to lightly jog for 30 minutes. That will probably be one of the proudest moments of my life because I have NEVER jogged that long. For me, 20 minutes is a miracle.

I also did a great job of stretching my muscles.

Today's exercise:

25 minute walk to work
25 minute walt to the gym
30 minutes of swmimming laps ( +10 minutes of hot tub :D )
15 minute walk home

Took the stairs down at work twice (14 X2 = 28 flights of stairs -felt that burn :lol: ) wah! my legs are a little stiff now!

Yip yip, Mauvais!!

Got DH to drop me at the Y this morning. I only burned 400 calories. But geez, what a walk back. Thank god I had my umbrella with me.
You know, I've decided that at my age (reasonably young), it's far better to just let yourself fall than to catch yourself from slipping. I'm not likely to break anything at my age, but I've pulled something in my back from jerking myself upright.

I can't wait until the weather gets warm outside. Me and my husband got new bicycles and I CAN'T WAIT TO GO RIDING!!!!! Does anyone know how many calories riding a bike burns....about 30 minutes of riding??

Chris, everytime I see "Walked the plant" I think it says, "Walked the planet". heh heh.

I haven't exercised since tuesday. Tonight DH and I went to the Y. I was beat. I figured I'd be able to burn 200 calories tops, but I did my full 500!! I'm so proud of myself!! :dance:

And all you exercise babes are doing GREAT!! :cb:

Heavy duty house cleaning for 2 hour 40 min-you gals should have saw mw scrub the bathrooms I was in the zone ;-)
10 min elliptical
10 min abs
10 min of Yoga stretching

Saturday
25 min Pilates
30 min upper body toning with light weights

Saturday: Lightly jogged for 35 minutes and then walked for 5 minutes.

Sunday: Getting ready to get on the treadill in about 1/2 hour.

I walked yesterday for about 13 minutes. It was so chilly I was out in gloves, hat and scarf...but I went out there! I would have gone longer but the sun was setting. My heart was pounding and I was sweating when I got home!

Just got my exercise chasing Miss Lucy through the woods in the deep snow! She dashed out the door when Harry was bringing in wood and took off. Actually it was fun because Hershey and the three kids from up the hill joined in! Somehow I think she does not want to go to Show Handling class this afternoon! Neither do I but we will go because this morning's blizzard has disappeared! Anyhow we need to keep those snobs in line!

Does 5 minutes of shovelling snow count? It is 13F/-11C with wind chill -5F/-21C out there. :p

able to increse to 75 lbs on the lat pull down
up to 140 lb on the leg press
doing my 10 second counts and getting more reps in!

I can now leg press 270 lbs. Want to work up to 300 lbs by the end of next month. Doing a little more cardio now. have been going to friends gym with her for this week, and they have a peice of equipment for the abs, which allows you to fold yourself up, and you can use weights or not, the first day I did without and the next I used 10 lbs. It really works the abs, but feels great too. I have not been doing enough ab work I don think, so I am going to do some ab work everyday, and on lower body day I will really give them a going over.

I am going to London for a week with DH :) to work at a gaming convention. I'm really looking forward to it :D

Does doing housework vigourously to stay warm count as exercising? :lol:
