Default Ravenous tip

So, yesterday I was simply having one of those ravenous days - my hormones must not have been working properly and 1600 calories seemed super tiny. I think some days my body REALLY rebels its calorie deficit, other days it passively agrees.

I went to the store and found a lower calorie protein powder. I made a small glass and drank it with my small dinner (was almost out of calories).

It curbed my hunger in a big way. I suppose you could grab a piece of fish or chicken - but I'm not always in the mood for animal protein.... I'm much more of a carby-oatmeal-quinoa type person. I do eat animal protein, it is just not what I ever crave. That is why I do calorie counting- because I love carbs.

If you are the same way as me, try a protein drink to help curb the hunger!

Any other suggestions besides fish or greek yoghurt?

I find that eggs help. I sometimes buy smoked salmon and I'll scramble a couple of eggs w/ smoked salmon, and that usually does the trick.

A large glass of ice water with a little lemon or lime can help me.

JessLess: I made this super low-cal cabbage soup the other day, for when the hunger hits. I had one bowl and was SO gassy, I had to stop eating it!
