Default How many pounds to get into 'em??

So I have 2 pairs of made-to-order jeans, and I really did try to measure correctly but somehow ended up with both too tight. By alot. Like I can just barely hoist 'em up, do up the button, and am left with an unsightly muffin top.. like a sausage from waist to knee.

How many pounds will I have to lose before I fit into these, d'ya think? Anyone done something similar?

Wow, this really depends. Are you weight lifting? That will certainly speed things up.

In the last 10lbs I've only lost about an inch off of my waist and one off of my hips with about 0.5-1 inches most other places on my body too. However, I've been at this a long time too and I've been lifting for awhile so I'm no longer in the honeymoon period where I can lose a lot of inches at the beginning of weight lift.

Maybe a good way to estimate it would be to measure the jeans themselves and then measure yourself. See what the difference is and say roughly 10lbs per inch? It might be faster, though, if you incorporate weight lifting (always a recommendation of mine! ).

I've never done that bfore... But if you measured by their specifications can't they help you out somehow?? It doesnt seem like it'd be your fault.

Old Navy has a great plus size division online if you want to get something until you fit in the others

If you can pull them on and actually button them, then I would say 10-15 pounds, but with your height, I don't know. From your experience, about how pounds do you need to jump sizes? Basically, they sound one size off.

From past experience, at that weight and tall (though not that tall!), I'd guess 20-25 pounds.

I'm not as tall but that's about what it took for me to move down a clothing size too, and it sounds like those are probably about a size too small.

I'd say it also depends on how you're built. Apple? Pear?

I'm just shy of your height, pear/hourglass shaped, and right now it takes me about 20 pounds to comfortably move into a new size.

Thanks ladies... I'm guessing it's at least 20 then.

I'm definitely pear, and I think it took me 15 pounds to move down a size last time when i did Atkins (so long ago it's hard to remember!).

(And I'm sure I probably could ask them to adjust the sizing, but I ordered from the US and shipped them here to Chile, so it would be too expensive and time-consuming to go that route. Just have to get my butt in gear, I guess!

And if the weight lifting makes such a big difference, I'm IN! lol
