Diana you're spunky this morning :) No not like a prison sentence it sounds like a great new way of life for a great new and improved YOU  You should have (I would have) waited to weigh in at your normal time. You surely wouldn't have been up 1.2  Diana I think that is what scares me the most and though I don't always give it my all I don't ever want to get up to 190-220 again. I look in the mirror and I see a better person and get excited, but when I take a picture the excitement leaves. Maybe in order for me to remain constantly focused I should print one of those photos and carry it with me in my wallet. So each time I go to pay for something I shouldn't have voila there's that not so good looking photo of me. Thanks for the reminder  Thanks Diana about my Baby and that is only in a year, she's in the second grade. Oh my goodness by time she gets in the fifth grade what are we gonna do? :D. The good thing is she is all tom boy. ;) I try to leave that hair down she wants it up. Oh and that style last night is ugly and embarrassing, (her words). I don't wear braids like that, I like my ponytail :lol3: she's a mess. I have never heard of a potato ricer. Let me know what you think of it if you get one.

Roxy adoption stuff is better than a workout  Get those children in there. I can't wait, I am so excited for you. Can't wait until you all meet and you have your first outing, then your weekend visits, and overnight visits (that order right?) :carrot: Thanks on my little tom boy :D Great job on 5lbs GONE for the month :high:

aka 12.5lbs GONE for the month, way to go :high: sorry you aren't feeling well, I'm better today, not 100% but better, hope you feel better soon  Busy lady you are, keep your chest covered and your head also with the sweating is what my Great-Grandmother use to say, don't let more cold in  I am the opposite of you, I don't want to eat if I'm not feeling well, I'm just not hungry but I know if I don't eat I will have a crazy gain when I do, and that scares me. Best of luck in the Komen Walk

Jess, my sons do push ups like it's nothing and so does my oldest daughter, but the boys have had plenty of practice during football and wrestling and my daughter does PT with the Army Recruiters so yeah, they can laugh all they want. I'm 45, they're 12, 13 and 18 ... I think I could do them then too :lol3: I think ;) We'll get there. We try with tons of effort so we get an A for that . Thanks on my munchkin :) you know I like that, but she is almost as tall as me thanks to my 6"6 husband, so I can't call her that ;).

crainjo 15.6lbs GONE for the month, way to go :high:

Coondocks Let's do this and we know we can :) Is it the red and black machine? Let me know how you like it. I wanted one but never got it due to something my husband said. Let me know thanks. Sorry about the up, it could very well be sodium from the soup

I am down .4 from yesterday to 175.8, But I gained 2.4lbs in the month of September oh well tomorrow is a new month.

I'm in :) I would really like to finally get out of the 190's. I have not been on plan very good the past few months. Watching the scale creep back up is enough to make me get back on the wagon. I will not change my ticker- I hope in a week or two it will be correct again ;) Happy Autumn everyone!!!

Dang! It's October already? :dizzy:

I am trying to WI more often. I need to see if my new regimen for insulin resistance is working, and it seems to be--yay!!! :carrot:

Had a not so good day on Wednsday... someone brought those frosted sugar cookies to celebrates some thing or another. Those are one of my weaknesses, and I had one. :( Was very disappointed in myself after doing so well, and paid for it with an extra 20 minutes on the bike. But that didn't make me feel better.

I guess cheating isn't worth it if it's going to jack with my peace of mind...

Can't wait to see how well everyone does this month!! Let's go! :carrot::carrot:

LGW good job on the 1.4lbs GONE for the month. :high: Don't be sad you did great and next month you will see ONEderland for sure ... we learn more with each passing day  see I had already commented before you said it and again you got ONEderland in the bag for October for sure, you know what to do :)

Alright Ona it's on I challenge myself to catch up with you ;) . Good job on the .8 down this morning ;) and the 5lbs GONE for the month :high: I'm gonna hopefully fight a good fight in October, hoping to see day one with a loss :crossed:

Kukkie maybe you could put a small note near the coffee as a reminder  Just goes to show you how busy you are  Good job on the 4.6lbs GONE for the month :high: Yay for ONEderland :)

goal4agirl, Happy Autumn to you also, and Happy early 50th :)

Kya glad the new regimen is working :) Sorry the cookie monster got you. I had a stare down with some snickerdoodles yesterday and I won. I was so proud of me :D I was gonna get them, I said to myself I'll just have 3 (not sure of the serving size) and then the kids can eat the rest when they come home, but then I thought those cookies don't stand a chance. I'll catch them all ... in my tummy :(. So I left them there, oh and I had just left Curves, so that would have been a total waste ;).

MadameZ good for you on seeing 150 :high:, wow I can't wait to see that number on my scale (daydreaming) :D

I need to get off of here and get moving before I know it the kids will be coming home ...

yay for shiny new threads :)

weigh in today: 248.7
change: -0.4

a loss of 3.3 for the week (and also the month haha) puts me back to my lowest weight since i started (and reached almost 2 months ago! ugh). everything from here on out is *new* loss and every new pound gone will be my lowest weight ever as an adult. THAT'S exciting to me! i'm gonna work hard to get out of the 240s this month. 239.9 is my goal for halloween morning!

potential road blocks: my birthday is this month. and there's an out of town event the weekend before halloween. both of which will tempt me to be off plan. and that's okay! i've told myself i'm allowed 3 days off plan per month, as long as they are PLANNED off-plan days (does that make sense?) and not going off plan just because i'm snacky or depressed and binge on a whole bag of fun size snickers, or a whole box of cookies.

anyway, tonight's the cook out, so i'm keeping it SUPER light all day (as i do on fridays) and limit myself to one small paper plate of food tonight, and nibble off of the hubby's dessert plate. no beer, just water for me tonight. hopefully i can continue to show losses. i'd hate to think this is my rubber weight, and every time i hit it i bounce back up! i've done it twice now.

:dust: all over my head!

everyone have a good day!

Mandy I have complete faith in you, and this is NOT going to be your rubber weight. Wanna know why, huh huh huh??? Because we're going to be right here to support you. I think the decision to pass on the beer tonight, is in itself an accomplishment. Chug that water away! Maybe see if you can even resist the temptation to nibble off hubby's dessert plate?

Side note: I love all of us October babies! I've counted 4 so far, any more?!

I love me a new thread!! :D

My September Stats: SW = 263.6; CW = 254.0 (after using the facilities this morning, I lost .2 lbs, so I'm taking it!!) for a September loss of 9.6 pounds! I'll take it, even though I was hoping for 11.

I think LGW posted this phrase earlier, and it fits my current mindset perfectly: I'm not where I want to be, but I'm definitely not where I used to be. LOVE IT!

My October goal is to lose 10 pounds, so that would bring me to 244.0 by October 31st.

Starting C25K on 10/10 will definitely help me stay on track, I do believe! :D

Good luck to everyone in meeting your goals!! I know we'll all be here to support one another, which makes a HUGE difference. If anyone needs any support, wants to chat, or just in need of a motivational kick in the rear-end, hit me up here or on FB. Lord knows I need it too sometimes!

Catch ya later gang.

Finally bit the bullet and went to the doctor you guys. I usually don't do that, but this was going on far too long. So I've got 10 days of antibiotics and some sudafed and I'll be right as rain.

I'll be back on the losing side of things soon, and can't believe I've managed to continue running through this illness. That's a little intense Amanda....
I may go ahead and put a pause on C25K until I recover.

So me in all my genius just realized something. For the last 2 or 3 weeks I've been sick and had no appetite so ate little more than soup a d broth.
No wonder I'm gaining now, I'm actually eating solids regulay and eating a healthy calorie amount. Duh.
I suspect I'll gain for the next few days realistically but it makes sense to me why now. All the more reason to keep on track.

I think a D'oh and facepalm is in order.

Hey ladies, I didn't WI this morning, I was SO tired this morning... never a good thing for a WI. I'll get my numbers tomorrow, I know I didn't hit my goal for September, but that's because of the running - otherwise I had hit it! I'm so so completely exhausted tonight.. no personals :( Christmas hit today at work - which means stock up to my eyeballs! I'm going to go have a huge glass of water and watch a movie with the bf..

I would like to lose 10 pounds in October. I've lost 7 in the past ten days, but I know that's because of water loss and the fact that I made such drastic diet changes so quickly. Although I'd love to lose weight fast, I know slow weight loss is better for me. So, here's to a great October!

Starting weight: 9/30/11 - 243.2
October
1 - 241.8 (Really didn't think I'd see a loss today b/c I have major PMS!)
2 - 241.2
3 - 241.4 (Lots of PMS bloating)
4 - 239.0
5 - 241.2 (Annoyed with this, as I have stayed on plan and even ate fewer calories yesterday than I was allotted!)
6 - 239.4
7 - 239.2
8 - 238.2
9 - 239.4 (ARGH!)
10 - 239.4
11 - 237.2 (Thank goodness I am over the hump!)
12 - No WI
13 - 238.8
14 - 237.2
15 - 237.6
16 - 237.4

Welcome to all the newbies!!!!!!

I appreciate the re-post of the quote:
"I'm not where I want to be, but I am definitely not where I used to be"

This month -- my mantra
I will have a program. I may not follow it exactly, but I will have it. It will eliminate two pests -- hurry and indecision.-FA

I have to get back to preparing meals on a regular basis. I have come up with so many things to explain my involuntary maintenance phase -- but in reality I'm really not doing what I did at the beginning! I talked to my "sponsor" or cousin and she simply said -- pack your food and force yourself to eat it to get back on track and that's what I plan on doing! :) She has lost over 100 lbs, so I trust her words of wisdom -- however, harsh they may be -- she is my motivation and I am proud of her EVERY SINGLE DAY :)

What I would do...ooohhh what I would do for another blinking light in my signature!!!!

Good Morning, Everyone! Enjoy your weekend! I just went outside to get the newspaper. It feels like we are having some fantastic Fall temperatures this weekend here. It's nice and cool and no humidity! :carrot:

I was reading some posts about perimenopause/menopause at a fitness forum where I am a member. The insomnia and night sweats sound like some of the symptoms they are posting about with menopause. I think this is what I have going on. I did a little reading yesterday about some products to take to help alleviate some of these symptoms. I have to watch what I take because of me watching peanut/legume/nuts/soy, etc. I decided to try a homeopathic product. I have used products in this line before and they have helped me. I bought the Hyland's Menopause product. Last night I didn't wake up hot! Maybe it a coincidence. Also, I wasn't freezing when I went to bed. I woke up at my normal (internal clock) time and got 7 hours of sleep. I wish I had went to bed earlier. I am going to try to get to bed earlier tonight. If this product seems to work, I think I will start taking it the week before I expect TTOM. That's when my symptoms begin. This is what I bought: http://www.vitacost.com/Hylands-Menopause/?pd_section=pr#ProductReviews

Welcome to all the newbies! :welcome:

So, hi everyone! Sorry to be away without a word. It's been a crazy couple of days. Work was super super busy and I had a terrible time getting home on Thursday (didn't make it until 7:45 pm and had left the office at 5:00  and once I got home I got the news that the mother of one of my best friends had passed away, so since then I've been involved in some of the activities for that too. The funeral is this morning, and then I have to go to the office this afternoon, but I had to stop in here to let you know I'm still alive! I miss you guys :(

September is a gain for me...TOM is still hanging in there and I ended the month 6 oz higher than I ended August. During the month I gained and lost 7lbs and touched down in ONEderland, so there was definitely movement. I'm going to aim for 6lbs in October, which will be a challenge since next weekend is our Thanksgiving and also my birthday.

I am at 202.2 today and plan to stick to my plan like glue for the rest of the weekend and onwards.

Thanks for noticing I was gone :D I'll be sure to check in and catch up a bit tonight when things settle down a little bit.

Great job on the pound Diana :cp: hope it helps you :)

LCW,you'll get back in your routine  keep on fighting to get there.

 All New Daily Weighers

This Month,I'm going to work on my obsession w/having to jog/walk before i WI (waiting to eat breakfast :dizzy:) which will effect me posting and doing a Weigh In everyday.long time ago i noticed that if i jogged/walked before i Weighed in,I'd be lower than the day before and that little Revelation has messed me up physiologically:o

With the early Morning Gym classes,it's hard for me to get to the ones i like cause I'm trying to do too much in order to WI before i go.It's all getting very stressful.Something has GOT to give :dizzy:

Plus since I've added in a night exercise routine too. Must find a balance. It's going to take some time and will be really hard but I've got to ween myself away from that habit for my own sanity. So with that..going w/yesterday's WI as my starting weight for October..171.0

Hey ladies! I have some uber excitement happening over here. Forgot to weigh in yesterday, but this morning I was down 2.1 from my last WI. So hello 197.2. I'm really really going to aim to be as low in the 90s by the end of the month, which is going to be an enormous feat - we have a number of religious festivals that happen in October (why they all accumulate at once is beyond me) and they're all associated with food celebrations, ahhh. My birthday is also on the 19th. So I'm just going to have to stick to the plan and exercise some major willpower. But for now, I'm excited with today's WI.

I think it is the sodium monster. We had tacos for dinner last night. I did not go over calories, but it was more sodium than what I am used to. So far today, I had a 6 inch turkey subway on Wheat with lettuce, pickle and honey mustard. We had a brunch, because we are going to see a lunch time movie. Gonna try to get in a run today. Have not ran since Wednesday. So I gotta get back to it.

I am down 2 pounds to 157.8. TOM went away again (hopefully he'll stay gone longer this time). I fully expect to be back up a little bit tomorrow though because I weighed in 1.5-2 hours later than usual, but I doubt that accounts for a whole 2 pounds, so yay! The zumbathon for breast cancer went well, we had a large crowd, though I don't know yet how much we raised.

Rennie - other than the fact that we only have to do the one weekend overnight visit, yep, that sounds about right. Our case worker is going to try to get things pushed through quickly, but right now we are not even actually matched to them yet, so still praying and :crossed:

Mandy - You can do this! Stay strong. We got your back girl!

aka - I'm glad you saw the doc and got meds, hope you feel better soon.

Coondocks - I'm sure your body will re-adjust soon and the scale can travel downward some more

LGW - I am with your cousin, sometimes in the beginning or during a getting back on track time that is exactly what you have to do, force yourself. Good luck!

Diana - I hope that it continues to work for you. :crossed:

Angie - I am sorry that you have had a rough few days.

Ona - After you get into the routine I'm sure you will still see your losses. Trying to change a routine can be really stressful and crazy-makin though.

kukkie - Congrats!

crainjo - mmmmm tacos! grrrr sodium!

Starting October 1st off at 172.2 and SO happy about it. I have a goal to lose 13 lbs by Thanksgiving (which I REALLY hope I can do since I just lost 9 in September) but I am not sure what I want the scale to say yet on November 1st. I guess I would want it to be down at least another 8 to 9 lbs so I can really kill it in November! We'll see!

Morning everyone! I have rarely posted in these threads, I usually just update my weight and lurk but I just have to say I'm FINALLY in the 150s. I have not seen the 150s since I was 23. Once I reach 154 it will be the lowest weight I have ever been in my adult life.

Stein- Congrats on the 9lbs! WOW

FitGirly- We're both in the 150s! Woo!

crainjo - I know how crappy taking in too much sodium can be. Especially during TOM.

Kukki- Congrats on the 190s!

Ona - I hope you find a way to relax about WI, I know how that can be. Especially when you just want to see those numbers but you'll figure it out!

Angie - I'm rooting for you to get back into the 190s!

good afternoon ladies!

weigh in: 248.2
change: -0.5

i am happy to see that the weight is down today, however i promised hubby we could have chinese and watch the virginia tech/clemson game today... so sodium will probably bounce me back up tomorrow (we're sharing an order of gen tso's chicken... we both love it)... lots of water today, but i don't foresee me eating very much since i'm pretty sure i woke up with tonsillitis. probably shouldn't even have tonsils since i get tonsillitis once or twice every year... but i never got it as a kid. so who knows?? no fever though, so it's not bacterial meaning no antibiotics and probably not caused by the streptococcus bacteria... which is good, but that probably means it's contagious and my husband has crohn's and thus a compromised immune system. i hope he doesn't get it! :(

hope you all have a better day than i'm havin so far :P

So what most of us do is update our original post by clicking the "edit" button in the post. This allows us to keep track of our month and on a daily basis we post or day-to-day losses and comments. So if you go back to the first few pages, you will see where others have updated their original post! Hope this helps and again WELCOME! :)

well I hope everyone that hasn't checked in is having a great Saturday. :) I started my day at 5am setting up for a yard sale. We finished up at 3pm. My neighbors put out the ad and allowed the rest of us to piggy back off them and set up also. Lots of work and I was so exhausted at the end. I counted it up exercise wise as 2 hours cleaning on MFP since the site gives you a crazy burn for cleaning. My burn is 396 and my numbers for today are:

Diana -- Thanks, finally I think things are calm, just in time for Sunday! I do have some cleaning to do tomorrow, but I think it will still be a welcome return to normality after a hectic week.

Ona -- Thank you :) Wow, you are at 171!? Good job on that! I think it's great to give yourself a break from the hectic schedule, I'm sure your body will be glad of it too.

Kukkie -- Awesome weigh in! Congratulations! Cameron and I get pretty excited for Diwali -- last year we drove and parked near a place where they were having fireworks. This year I think I've whined and complained my way into an invitation to a friend's place where they will be having a real celebration :D

Crainjo -- I love subway -- it's my 'go to' fast food joint when I don't have time to prepare food.

Roxy -- Congratulations on your weigh in! Any news on the adoption front?

MadameZ -- Congratulations on getting to the 150's!!! Thanks for rooting for me, I hope to be back there in a few days :)

Mandy -- I hope your throat clears up. I had my tonsils out at 27 and it was worse than childbirth (bearing in mind I had an epidural and a c-section :)) but at least I don't get throat infections anymore :D

LGW -- Great job on your choices at the Cheesecake Factory!

Rennie -- Okay, I love having you for a partner, let's go for the 6lbs together! My birthday is next Saturday, the 8th of October :) Just trying to decide what I want to do that day. How did your garage sale go? Good job on your weigh in today!

AKA -- Feel better soon, hope the meds start to improve things! :getwell:

Hey ladies, having a rough day today. I ran this morning, but I was really sore afterwards, I had to take a muscle relaxer before I headed to work. Anyways, make a realization at work, I'm going in on Monday to quit. I love my job, but cannot handle my boss. I'll give them until October 21st, and then I'm off to San Francisco for a week, I might stay in SF for a couple more days and then head to New York with my brother for a week. We'll see. I honestly don't see a solution to my boss problems, and I hate to leave a job AND a company I love.. but I really don't have a choice anymore. So that's my story of today. I'm taking tomorrow to process the situation, and possibly write my resignation letter.

I'm also ending my month at 259.3, so I am down 6 pounds this month. Aiming for 7 pounds in October!

Sorry for the lack of personals, I'm barely holding myself together right now.

Thanks aka, Sorry you are feeling worse, hoping you get better soon  I have something, it's not as bad as it was during the week. I'm still a little congested though, but also still taking Theraflu twice a day. Hope we are both 100% soon

Thanks Angie I'm excited about our Six Pound Challenge. I hope at the end of this month or even before we can have a whoosh or two and celebrate early and keep it off. :high: The sale went better than we thought. The first one we had sucked and we didn't do another afterwards, but this one was pretty good. Just slow going. Someone keep taking my neighbors signage down so she and ended up going up to the road and holding up signs while her husband stayed at the house. I also racked up on some really nice tops and a coat for my little lady. My neighbors have some really cute clothes for their girls. All looks new and all designer :)

Aimee, I'm sorry about the issues with your boss. I hope that you don't have to quit and something can be done to rectify the situation  Good job on the 6lbs Gone for September :high: Maybe journal your feelings right now, I'm sorry you are going through this again with her  Aimee sorry about the sore muscles also  get some rest and feel better

Hello, everyone! I've been totally AWOL for a few months now...and I've gained a ton of weight in the process. I'm sick of hiding the scale and then pulling it out a few weeks later to see I gained yet another few pounds, SO I'm trying to get back on track, and this thread was always a big help before.

Congrats to all of you who have kept working (Diana, WOW!!!! I can't believe how tiny you are! Congrats on staying so healthy!! :flow1:) and to those who are trying!

:carrot::carrot::carrot: I get to keep my whoosh! I am down .2 to 157.6:carrot::carrot::carrot:

Stein - Congrats on September's loss. I'm sure you can be down another 13 by T-day.

MadameZombie - Why yes, yes we are! Until recently I had never seen the 150s as an adult, they sure do look good on us, yeah? I bet the 140s are gonna look even better though, let's go!

Mandy - :crossed: that your DH doesn't get sick and that you are better very quickly.

Rennie - I always love my zumbathons, especially when they are for a good cause (this one was a Susan G. Komen fund raiser). For us to officially match to the kids DHS has to say it's ok, we have to review more info about them in their case file and say if we still want them afterward, then the kids get info about us and get to see the photo album we've been working on and the ones that are old enough (so at least the 7 and 9 year olds and maybe a little input from the 4 year old) get to say if they want to be matched with us, after everyone agrees on it then the visits start. I love/hate having yardsales. I am thinking of starting to do what some of my friends here do and put an album of things for sale on my facebook that way I can clear some stuff out and not have to go through all that.

aka - I hope you feel better soon

Angie - Not much news yet other than when I talked to our caseworker she sounded positive about it and promised to get our paperwork through as fast as she could.

Aimee - I know it is a tough decision and one you aren't making lightly. I hope that it brings you some peace.

Paradise - Welcome back!

stayed the same at 183. Im ok with that, did some weights and treadmill last night, not much, i'm still not up to snuff so to speak but so much better. Just a little cough to get rid of and im back in the game. Still waiting for my whoosh to come, next few days im hoping :) :)

Roxy - zumbathons? In intrigued . . . that just sounds like all kinds of fun. I havent ever been able to make it to a class but the bits i've caught is TVor youtube is just so fun, i can see why its addictive.

Aimee - *hugs* stay strong, you know what the right course is. Do you find running in the morning has an effect on the rest of your day energy wise? im wondering if it wouldnt be better for me to start c25k again but in the mornings instead of evenings.

rennie - check you OUT!! You are rocking that scale already this month, good on ya!!!

Up 0.1 to 197.3 - not a huge deal, didn't get nearly enough water yesterday... maybe only 1.5 glasses. OMG. Can you tell what the goal of the day will be?!

Not enough time to get to everyone but:

Angie: Diwali in Brampton is insanity! I think last year's fireworks were brighter than it was on Canada Day!! Technically speaking we celebrate it for a few days, but Diwali itself is the main celebration day. Be careful of all those sweet goodies. They add up! Side note: holy cold weather! It's brrrrr out there.

Aimee: I'm so sorry to hear about the job. I'm glad you're taking a day to process though - you definitely don't want to make any rash decisions.

Roxy: hoping for your paperwork being expedited through!

Morning everybody

Did WI today, only cause i jogged/walk this morning.. remember ..down .2 to 170.8. Really don't need to WI tomorrow cause I've got to be somewhere at 8:30 am then take Mother/Aunt off..which means if i do try to WI..I'll have to get up @6am,spend an hour on the track(from 6;30-7:30), come back shower, eat and get dressed all in a 45mins :dizzy: IDK..
It's according to how i feel in the morning.( I'm just really tired of pushing myself :dunno: but it seems like if i don't do it something is wrong :dunno: I know i can't WI Tuesday cause i have a really early Doctors Apt.
Wednesday,a class i really like starts at 9:30am so if i don't push to jog i can't WI.Thursday is the only morning that looks like it will be less stressful..IDK..decisions decisions.

Madame,Congrats on being in the 50's :cp: you've done an awesome job!

Angie  Thanks :) I'm just trying to stop thinking that i have to jog first in order to WI.:)

Way-to go Rennie, down 1.4 and TTOM :cp: great job :)

Ona I know you talked last week about running before you weigh in because you get a lower reading. I get up, go pee, and then weigh. If I were you, I would just start weighing first thing in the morning like that. Your numbers may be different for a few days, but after that you will be on the new schedule. That way the weighing is done for the day and you can move on. No inconveniences, etc. Again, it will take a couple days to adjust but after that you will be on the new schedule.

Ona good job on seeing 170 way to go :high: whew you are a busy lady, can't wait to see what you weigh on Thursday :) I didn't do so well today, TOM left and I had a pound gain :)

Well like I said I am up a pound to 175.4. I had a small steak & cheese yesterday and forgot about it until early this morning, so I am sure the fun and the fried meat is where my pound came from :). I'm pooped this morning and I have a lot to do to prepare the week so I'm going to take a nap and start my Mommy/Wife duties. See you all later.

Ack! Up 1lb to 203.2 today....crazy scale. I was good yesterday! Sticking to plan again today and I'll hope for a nice whoosh sometime soon. I did some cleaning and organizing this morning and have more to do. Cabbage rolls in the oven for lunch and I have a roast in the slow cooker for dinner, and asparagus is definitely on the menu tonight!

Aimee -- Wow, that's a big decision; I didn't realize things were that bad with your boss. It is a shame to leave a company and job you love because of one person. Would you consider speaking to your bosses boss to explain that you've tried, but are unable to have a workable relationship? Maybe they would consider transferring you to another location or department? Just a thought.

Rennie -- I'm glad the sale went well! Yeah, I hope we can hit our goal early, but even if I just get the 6lbs this month I'll be thrilled!

ParadiseFalls -- Welcome back!!

Roxy -- Congrats on keeping your whoosh and on today's .2!

Diana -- I'm glad you slept well, hope you are enjoying your Sunday. :)

Crainjo -- Good job on the 1lb today!

AKA -- Don't even worry about that gain while you're sick, focus on getting well and then you can get back on track. Good foods to eat while sick: Low sodium chicken soup...lots of water....oranges? Junk food will not make you feel any better, I promise.

Coondocks -- Glad you are feeling more like yourself again. What do you and Jack have on the go today?

Kukkie -- Exactly, how can you live in Brampton and not celebrate Diwali!!?? It's freezing today, Cam and I went out and I wore my new winter boots already!

Ona -- Good job! Have you considered weighing in but not making yourself jog first? It might be more initially, but you'll know in your heart that you didn't really gain...and then soon enough it will be normal. Have a great Sunday

Rennie -- I'm up a pound too...lol -- so now we have 7lbs to lose in October.

I have a confession to make -- it only ocurred to me today that I am completely hooked to BBQ ribs! There is a market that makes them every Sat and Sun and I have been there at least 1 weekend day for the last month? sooooo maybe this is what is affecting my weight -- well, actually, only if I use the BBQ ribs with the sauce as my protein and have veggies and a salad -- if I have it by itself I usually don't see a gain -- but I'm also eating less per meal that way...at any rate...I have seen a downward trend this week (and by the way, I gave 1/2 the ribs to a friend last week) -- if I start to go up again -- I'm blaming it on the ribs and will cut them down to once a month! :)

I am also craving PIZZA -- I have not had any pizza since May -- however, I have vowed to not even think about going off-plan until I'm at least 205 -- not saying that I will -- but hopefully by that time the craving will be gone :)

LCW,have you tried the pork-tenderloin short ribs? they are good and you can make your own little sauce :) I love them too, definitely a plan your day around item.

Thanks Diana,I tried to WI a couple of times (long ago) before i jogged/after eating and noticed the different but you're right..if i get started Weighing In later then my Weigh Ins will catch up. it's doable, just mentally seeing higher numbers after I've eaten(even though for a short time)..sigh..don't know if I'm ready for that :D everything will work out.

Thanks Angie, that's a good idea but mentally challenging right now.maybe later.Hope you enjoyed your dinner :)

Angie, why on earth did we add another pound (shaking my head). Well my son convinced me to make chicken noodle soup for dinner. I haven't added it up yet but I couldn't eat the whole bowl so maybe I'm safe and won't have a big gain tomorrow because I am positive that I'll have a gain. I'm gonna have to stay focused to make this happen :)

Sam great seeing you  oh my goodness, your measurements are just beautiful to the eye. I can only dream. You have done and you are doing great. Hoping things get better at home, take care

LGW I have been craving McD's fries and a cone. Oh Angie I forgot about this until LGW mentioned a craving. I got a large fry today and I enjoyed each one individually. I hope my cravings are gone for the month. We can do this

Hi Beck

Ona no you have to weigh in first thing in the morning. I weigh in at 5:30a.m. when I go to Curves or at 6:45a.m. when I don't go. The numbers on the scale are horrible to me even after a glass of water or cup of coffee/tea. Just crazy, I don't dare weigh in after anything goes in my mouth. Sorry about the roast beef. You have to taste everything now when you go some place, sad they don't pay attention.

I made a cup of coffee this morning and not thinking sipped before blowing and my tongue still feels funny, aren't I old enough to know better (shaking my head)

Ok going to add up my day ... BBL

Starbrite -- Good to hear from you! Sorry things are rough at home. Those measurements are awesome, you rock!!

LGW -- Can you make an on plan pizza? I remember Ona shared a recipe for a cauliflower pizza crust once...at least I think it was Ona. Then just put on-plan toppings on it?

Ona -- Oh i hate when that happens, when you don't get the thing you wanted at the deli. It's a pain to have to go back to get the one you really wanted; hopefully your mother will enjoy the salty one.

Rennie -- So far so good for me today....here are my numbers: Calories 1403; Sodium 2307 (little high); carbs 83; Protein 86

Hey Rennie-Thanks for weathering this with me.

Ona-I bet you're more sensitive to salt now that you've lost that weight. Our tastes definitely change along with our bodies.

Angie-thanks for the support. Roast and asparagus. *Drools...You eat the best foods.

LGW-Yeah I would say no to the ribs. Ribs are damn good though so don't deprive yourself. Just enjoy monthly.
Thanks for noticing my losses. I feel like I'm letting myself down right now with these gains even though I'm sick. I've got to adjust to this "*hit

[B]Diana-What's going on is I'm a big sick baby who wants to eat for comfort. Like Angie said though, eating junk isn't helping.

Good morning Diana! Hope all goes well.

Oh yeah, when I went to the doctor they took my blood pressure. It's down quite a bit since the last time I went, before I started my journey. I'm calling this a NON SCALE VICTORY. Cheers to health!
Did C25K Week 3 Day 2 Last night. I decided not to start week 3 over and just continue on with it. I couldn't believe how much easier it got after a few days of hiatus. Today is official WI, and although I won't be moving my ticker very far at all, at least it's not a gain. These meds are doing their jobs and I'm on my way to a full recovery.

Good morning ladies!

I'm up another 0.3 today to 197.6. I'm not particularly worried about it, because a number of factors may be at play. Perhaps it was the half litre of water I drank right before I crawled into bed, which then made me get up at 2:30 to go to the bathroom, which was after the alarm clock went off at midnight playing Adele's Rolling in the Deep pretty damn loud. I have a cd player alarm clock plugged in my hallway upstairs so that I can have some music playing when I clean. Well last night I was folding laundry, singing along, and I must have accidentally turned on the alarm, which wasn't set so is automatically at 12:00. Oy vay. The only reason I was able to actually get out of bed this morning was because I had set the timer on my coffee maker for 6am, and I absolutely cannot resist the siren smell of freshly brewed coffee.

Here's hoping everyone else had a better morning than I. Make it a great day!

I'm down .6 to 157. I'm not sure what's causing this little weight loss boost I'm having, but I will certainly not complain.

I get to get my zumba on and help raise money for various causes. So far I have been to ones for heart disease, autism, and breast cancer.

aka -

Ona - I'm with Diana, if you start weighing in without the jog the numbers may be a little annoying for a few days, but I think it would level out and you'd be less stressed. You can still jog on the days you want to and have time, just after you weigh in. I'm sorry about the roast beef, I would be . Even if you give it to your mom I think you should at least let them know what happened.

Rennie - A lot of the people around here make a special photo album in FB and label it For Sale, there is also a local page where you can post things so there might be one in your area too.

Have a great day and a great weigh in today! :)

Rennie - thanks for everything

Roxy - Thanks :) It's definitely something I am thinking long and hard about. Any news yet?

Coondocks - I haven't run and then tried to go to work just yet, but I do find that I have more energy afterwards. The other day I was going to take apart the coffee table glue it, clamp it, and then put it back together! That's a lot of energy for me, Instead I cleaned the entire house!

Kukkie - I've almost been so frustrated at work that I have made a rash decision, it involved taking my name tag & keys and telling a certain person to put it where the sun doesn't shine! ;) That's not me though. And the store manager knows that, because in order to solve the situation between myself and the dept manager? He's looking to ME! That kind of says it all. Great WI's this week, you are firmly into the 190's! Congrats :D

Ona - It's been 26 months that I've had to deal with her! I'm amazed I've lasted this long! You had a pretty great September too! You are getting SO close to goal - any changes you made to get this last little bit of weight off?

Angie - Things with my boss are the worst they could ever be, they've never been good unfortunately. The store manager knows that he can count of me to work on things, so he's made it my job to fix things. But if both people don't want to fix it, it can't be fixed. He doesn't get that. My boss is the one who tried to sleep with Josh, who used to call him early in the morning, late at night, text him when she knew I was at work, she's not a good person. She also had an affair with the Computer Manager, and slept with at least 1 of our Rep's (who's wife found out and then ended their working relationship with the company & we no longer carry that product line in our store). All of this AND she's newly married? Quite the little multi-tasker!

Phew! And with that I need to go prep for my meeting with the store manager - and go for a run! Thanks for the support, and letting me vent (I sure wrote a novel or two above!!).

I was down yesterday to 258.4! :) Hopefully I have equally good numbers for today!

Oh my gawd. I'm so shocked by this. I don't blame you for hating her. Kudos to you girl, I would not have put up with her this long. BTW, does the store manager know all of this? Because it's all very unprofessional if you ask me! Good luck with your meeting!

Morning, ladies (and gents?)! Thanks for all the welcome backs! It's getting cold and wet here, which most people hate, but I love sweater-and-boot-and-scarf weather :D

SwimGirl, your boss sounds truly awful :/ Congrats on the drop, though!

Kukkie and Angie, hang in!

love2b, congrats on the calorie burn :carrot:

Diana, good luck with your mammogram!

Starbrite, congrats on the enviable measurements! And for maintaining. You're awesome!

Ona, sorry about your roast beef! It's always so annoying when someone screws up your food while you're already trying hard enough to be on plan.

To everyone else, hope you have a nice day :)

I went to Dollar Tree this morning for a few specific things ended up spending more than I had planned and went down the chip aisle, that's a :nono: I wasn't hungry just wanted something that's a :nono: picked up a bag of Utz cheese popcorn, not good I wasted 320 calories on nothing (shaking my head) Thank goodness it is still early enough for me to recover :) Glad you're feeling better

Kukkie I love that song and He Won't Go also. Ah your house was the place to be this morning for me. Hope you're having a great day :)

Hi Riesz :welcome: great job on your loses so far :)

Roxy good job on the .6 down :) I'll have to look into the FB thing and see what I come up with, thanks. :) Oh I finally found some pumpkin it's oh so tasty in the Greek yogurt  The kids thought I was gonna make pies, nope this time it's for MOMMY :D

Aimee, she's a trouble maker and like I said you are not the only one that knows it. Something has got to give/change. I wonder what is up with her and your manager that he doesn't want to confront her. What does she have on him/them on each other. Something to think about. She's quite the fatal attraction! Get your run in and good luck on your weigh in numbers today

Hi Vicki, good job on the .2 down :)

Thanks Paradise, you know what to do to get things movin' again ... we can do it :high: Let's make our whooshes happen  I like the sweaters too but hate the closed in shoes and socks, I like my flip flops

hey folks!

weigh in: 248.9
change: +0.7

yeah. that's the wrong way. i blame the sodium laden (but calorie appropriate) foods over the last couple days while i was sick. soup and chinese food are well known for their high sodium content, and i was just too sick to care about it... i wanted something warm and soft to eat.

ah well. feelin much much better today, and will be hitting the gym with curtis tonight after his late class. yay for back to business!

also, if anyone wants to add me on facebook (i've seen it mentioned, thought i'd throw it out there) i'm there at www.facebook.com/amandabee (just identify yourself :D)

Hi Everyone! We went to eat at a new to us restaurant tonight. I ate my regular basic type of food that I normally get, but we just didn't really like the restaurant. The food didn't taste overly salty or anything. I'll see how my weigh in goes tomorrow. New restaurants don't normally sit well with me.

Angie Your cabbage rolls and roast sound great! How did your day go?

Ona Hi

PreciousMissy Great job on the 2 pounds!

Oneless Whooshes are great! :carrot:

PGHGal I didn't drink much water yesterday, either. I seem to drink less water on the weekends. Gotta work on that.

Rennie Sorry about the gain. That was a rough one. Great job on getting to Curves! I came back today to post personals and that stupid ad froze my computer again. I wish they would fix whatever is wrong.

AKA Great job on getting rid of some water! :carrot:

Kukkie What brand of coffee do you brew at home? I have used Folgers Simply Smooth for a few years. (when my Dad was diagnosed w/cancer/passed away I started having stomach issues. Simply Smooth is a lower acid coffee) My stomach seems to be doing better. The 8 O'Clock brand coffee was on sale at the grocery store. The 100% Columbian Coffee in that brand seems to be rated the highest. I bought a package and I will be trying it tomorrow. Hopefully it won't bother my stomach. The funny thing is that I can drink any other coffee during the day, but it seems like the coffee first thing in the AM is what bothered me. Hopefully the new coffee won't bother me tomorrow. In fact, I used to use this coffee years ago.

Riesz Hi

I'm down 1.4 to 201.8 today. I was on track today. I haven't entered my food yet, but I know I'm on plan; I might hit a sodium snag since lunch was ordered in today, but i only ate salad and steak.

Diana -- I hope your mammogram went well and is all clear. My day was busy, but mercifully fast thanks to that. Do you watch DWTS? I'm bawling right now after watching JT's dance. What type of restaurant was it today? I'm going to be challenged this weekend, Thanksgiving at my dad's on Saturday, same thing at my Aunt's on Sunday and then a birthday dinner out somewhere with my mom and Cameron either Friday or Monday...I'm wondering if I can exist on tea and asparagus in between to counteract the sodium/calories!?

Oneless -- Great start to October!

Jess -- If you like asparagus it really helps with water retention :)

Rennie -- I just saw your friend request on Loseit, I'm so glad you're on there! Sorry about the gain...you need some asparagus too...lol. It whooshed away my gain from yesterday, so I highly recommend it. Good job on going to Curves today!

AKA -- Glad to hear you are doing better!

Kukkie -- I love that song, but would not want to be jarred awake by it at midnight!

Roxy -- Congratulations on another loss, you are doing great lately!

Aimee -- OMG, I had no idea your boss was messing with you like that on a personal level! That is just so wrong! Good luck today, I hope the meeting went well. Great weigh in, you are really moving!

ParadiseFalls -- I love the fall weather too...well, I love cold and even damp is okay, but I'm not all that crazy about the rain -- we've had a lot here too lately.

Goal4agirl -- Good job on your 1.4 today!

Mandy -- I added you on FB, but I couldn't add a message, so when you see a friend request from Angie...it's me! :D

Diana I heard there were issues yesterday with the site. Maybe they are still having some issues. What type of issues do you have with the coffee and your stomach. I just thought when I would feel queezy or nauseous it was because I drank too much, it will also make me sleepy after the 4th cup I am pooped. :)

Thanks Angie good job on the 1.4lbs down :high: You're gonna be in ONEderland again before you know it. And the BIG winner in our 7lb challenge, way to go Lady :) How much asparagus did you eat? We've had lots of rain here also and the more rain the colder it is. brrrrr ... I sent you a text it's from the 540 number, you don't have to respond the bag said 12 spears so I am eating it now and then I will go to bed :D

Mandy I added you also :)

Angie

Rennie - I ate about 8 spears...or cut up maybe it was 3/4 of a cup. I love asparagus! I'm sure that soon my doctor will take me off my water pills and I'm scared, but my plan is to eat asparagus daily instead  When she cut me back to half a pill in May things did not go well with weight loss so I'm a bit frightened of that.

Thanks everyone for your concerns, unfortunately the meeting did not go well. The store manager is still taking the stance that I need to fix it, actually he's upgraded to "we" need to fix it. He wasn't helpful at all, until I ended the conversation to leave. We are apparently going to have once a week meetings, there is definitely a communication issue. The interesting thing to me is that after the meeting I walked out of the office and right into her - she went into the office afterwards, asked him what was wrong, and then they spent the afternoon talking about it. I still don't see the solution, I mean, if she really is under the impression that she's never wrong, than clearly nothing can be fixed.

Kukkie - unfortunately the store manager knows everything, and he is unwilling to do anything about it - I get that ultimately we do have to solve this ourselves, so I don't know what he could do. She sure doesn't behave like a dept manager, usually you don't try to sleep with anything that moves.

Rennie - I've wondered for a minute if he's slept with her, he's not really the type, but something holds him back when it comes to confronting her. I've seen him try on things to do with the dept, and she just argues with him so much that he gives up. I got my run in, it was a hard one! Week 2 day 1! And my WI wasn't so great, up .9 I believe. But my numbers were great for yesterday! Decent numbers for you, but bad sodium. Darn sodium eh!

Diana - Thanks :) I'm going to take this week to think about things, but otherwise I have a fulltime job lined up, I just need to make my decision - and be prepared to pay the company back for some moving costs. That's my only hesitation about leaving at the point - paying that money.

Angie - great WI today! I'm slowly moving downwards, just keep gotta my calories more "clean" and then I get the movement :) This boss is truly evil, and I'm so tempted to just make her life horrible... but it already is! I'm sure I could make it worse. Terrible when people make you want to do that!

Well today I'm doing my secondary job in the store, so that'll be good. 3 days of this, which I love to do! Have a great day, and I'll be back WAY later to give you my numbers!

Good Morning, Everyone!

Someone overslept this morning. :o I'm either playing catch up or it's from TTOM. The scale is up a little this morning. I think I am up a total of 1.2 while on TTOM. That's not bad. Of course, it can get worse. ;) Tomorrow is my hair appointment and we are eating at the Japanese restaurant. I'll keep doing my thing, hopefully I will start losing the water weight soon.

Calories for yesterday: 1440 + :coffee:

Weigh In: 145.8

Up: .4

Angie Great job on the 1.4 pounds! I don't watch DWTS. I am trying not to get hooked into any more shows. Years ago, I got hooked into Survivor, The Amazing Race, H*ll's Kitchen, and Kitchen Nightmare's. I decided not to keep up with ****'s Kitchen or Kitchen Nightmare's anymore. We just went to a regular restaurant. Nothing special. We were going to be in that area and wanted to try something different.

Rennie I was having issues with acid. The acid started with the situation with my Dad. The coffee compounded the problem. That's why I changed to a low acid coffee. I just finished drinking my 2 mugs with the new coffee. I used a little less coffee than I normally use. It's still a little strong. Tomorrow I will use a little less coffee. Hopefully I can drink this brand. It's more convenient to buy, too. The other product, I had to buy at Walmart. I HATE Walmart. My grocery store has the other product, but they only carry the small container.

aka8941 Congrats on your weigh in. :carrot:

Aimee I hope today is a better day for you.

Good Morning Everyone!
I've been doing really well, keeping my eating as clean as possible and putting in the hours at the gym- and today, it finally decided to show up on the scale! I thought maybe I'd see a couple pound "whoosh" soon because I've been running again, eating plain tomatoes and tuna fish for lunch, and making healthy dinners- but no real loss on the scales. Today I was very pleased to weigh in (before going to the gym at 6am) at 236.8- a 3.2 pound loss from yesterday morning! Does anyone alse weigh in more than once a day out of curiosity? For example, sometimes after a good workout I weigh in, but I'm always up a pound or two. It doesn't phase me or anything because I know I didn't gain 2 pounds of fat while working out... but I just wonder why that happens? Anyway- HOOOORRAAAYYY for me today- hoping to continue the trend, wedding dress shopping is now only 18 days away! Eep!

I am up .4 to 157.4. We had a late, high sodium dinner last night. Today is our anniversary and yesterday we were both out hunting presents and didn't end up eating until after 9. I made a seafood stir-fry, so good on calories and better on the sodium than from a restaurant would be, but still. He wants to go out to dinner tonight, but he also says we don't have to. I'm still trying to decide what to do. I also called the social worker yesterday and got voice mail and no call back. I'm getting really annoyed with that man.

Aimee - I'm with Kukkie - Does the manager know the details of why you have problems with this woman? I'm sorry the meeting did not go well.

Rennie - If you can find some caramel flavoring in the extract section to add to the pumpkin and greek yogurt that's even yummier. I do not suggest root beer flavor though, that went badly

kukkie - I'm sorry about the headache, I hope it leaves quickly

Well, I'm late to the party but better late than never I suppose. I've been struggling a bit with my outlook and needed some quiet time to sort through everything so I've been on radio silence. Ultimately, I realized that I am HAPPY, very happy actually, with the fact that I'm losing weight. Slow but steady. My rate of loss is steadily declining and I cannot figure out why but I AM losing AND getting healthier and THAT'S what truly matters. I need to look at the positive and realize that the slower I lose now, the greater the chances are that it'll stick as I move forward to goal and the better my skin will look when I get there. I KNOW these things to be true. So...there you have it. :D

I am a bit under the weather this week which I believe is actually because of the weather. Fall is finally here and we went from 90 two weeks ago to barely 70 this week with rain expected today. I LOVE fall and I'm so happy it's here though. Anyway, had a terrible migraine yesterday and ended up missing my BFC workout at the gym. I was bummed to miss it but I needed to. I've also got a bit of an ear ache that's giving me vertigo so I figure I'm better off just waiting to workout until I'm better. On top of all that, work is crazy busy. Worked 95 hours in two weeks and this week isn't looking much better. (BTW - I'm pretty sure this played a significant role in my emotional and mental exhaustion last week.) All things considered, I may just take the whole week off from the gym. I think I need a few personal days to get myself back on track. :)

So even though I'm having a rough go of things right now, I'm actually feeling pretty up beat. I'm wearing a pair of jeans this morning that I haven't worn in probably 6 years. :yay: They're snug but not too snug and I am rocking them today! ;) And yesterday, a co-worker/friend of mine who hasn't been in the office for a few weeks pulled me aside after a morning meeting to tell me how great I'm looking. :cheer3: I also wore a shirt yesterday that was too tight to wear last year (think Gus the mouse when Cinderella gave him his shirt) So, the progress is there and I just need to be happy with how that's going instead of expecting more. It is what it is and I AM moving toward my goals. It's not a race. :D

Aimee - I'm so sorry to hear about things with your boss. I knew things were bad but I had NO idea of all the awful things she's done to you. What a witch! She'd better hope things like karma and reincarnation aren't true because if they are...she's in for a world of hurt in her next life. I REALLY hope you don't have to quit your job but I do hope that you are able to find peace sooner rather than later. You are a great person and you derserve to have people in your life that treat you as such.

I've missed so much, there's no way I can catch up. So congrats to all you amazing, fantastic, and incredible LOSERS!

Hey everyone!

Like starbrite said, I've been aroundm just not checking in. So busy the last couple days.

SwimGirl, I don't know all the details, but your boss sounds challenging. I hope things get worked out. Love that you aren't letting it get in the way of your weight loss goals. That's how I sabbotage myself all the time. I get to feeling down and sorry for myself over things, and then I reach for one of my comfort foods instead of going for a run or working out or whatever. Keep on keeping on, and I hope it works out.

Ona, doesn't it make you crazy when you are trying to be good and someone gets you like that? And I agree about our tastes changing as we "diet". I'm way more sensitive to salt and sugar and how I feel after I eat them than before.

Love2b150, I hear you on the sneaky foods reaching out to grab you. Right now, Sweet Tarts are getting me. My parents always have some when I'm there, and somehow I've convinced myself that since I only eat Orange ones that it's not as bad... :dizzy:

Still hanging in on the weight loss. I prefer my own scale to any other. It seems to weight about 3 pounds lighter than others, so I go by that unless I'm at the doctors office. Down about 1 pound this morning, which sometimes makes me :(, but I keep remembering that The Tortoise won because "slow and steady wins the race".

Have a great day, guys! :carrot:

Up ? from 210.4 (scale ranged from 211.8 - 212.4, think it settled at 212.0) --not worried, expect a decrease tomorrow because I ate dinner at 11pm when I usually eat well before 7pm. I had fast food BUT it was grilled chicken, salad and :( sweet potatoe fries (small). I also had the chicken with "saved" BBQ sauce from my ribs :) -- just trying to confess all of my challenges!

I'm going to take the 212.0 and not get too excited about any whoosh tomorrow, just try to at leat get back to 210.4 and CATCH my ticker by the end of the week -- 209 was like 2 weeks ago!!!!

Boy was I feeling good about that downward trend! Well, I will at least say the I avoided McD's and Rallys/Checkers and BK -- which were all viable options on my way home last night. That chicken place was my only safe bet :) guess I could have went home too -- especially since the only reason I was out was to have a friend of mine grill my veggies for my salad. However, by the time I left it was well after 7 and I was hungry for more than a salad at that point!

Any way....

Have a great WI everyone :)

Aimee, hoping for a great day for you today  Good job on getting that run in and hard or not you DID IT wtg :high: Yeah the sodium monster caught up with me because I just stood there and let him grab me (shaking my head). Hoping today is better :)

Diana glad you found a coffee that may agree with you that you like :) I never even thought about acid and coffee, hmmm. I love Wamart, can't wait until the super side of ours is finished then we won't have to hit the highway to go to the others :D. I'm with you on watching so many shows. Jami good job on the 1.7lbs gone :high: Sorry you've been going through so much  But with every word you typed you can hear your strength building ... Way to Go. And great NSV's on the clothes. I can't wait until the BFC is over and you post new pictures :) Hope your ear clears up soon

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY Roxy and Hubby!! Hope the social worker calls you back soon. I have some sugar free coffee flavoring I wonder if that would work?

Kya good to see you, my weakness this time of the year is candy corn, it's fat free and low sodium but still I don't need it. I went on a Nacho Dorito kick too, luckily I can only eat a few before the salt gets to me and my lips burn. I definitely notice the salt in things not so much the sugar because I all for Splenda use to be Equal. :)

LGW, I wish seeing that downward trend would keep me focused. I have seen 171 quite a few times and you would think that I would continue to eat right and exercise to see 169 since I'm so close but nope. I go and mess up every time because I can't even see 170 (shaking my head) You've got your plans in order so you'll be back to your ticker weight in no time :)

I am down .2 to 179 even ~woohoo~ :(

So . . . .I'm backed up and have been for a few days. At first it was an annoyance, now it's become a bit uncomfortable. I'm going to see a Dr friend of my mothers this afternoon if nothing improves just to make sure it's nothing serious.

That being said, i'm staying off the scale until things get back to normal.
On the plus side, my butt hurts from my incline walk and squats the other day. Sick as it may sound, i've missed that feeling ha ha. I'm looking forward to doing another round of weights tonight and another walk. It's really quite nice reading while Im on the treadmill and I imagine it'll be a lot easier when my text books don't weight 7 lbs a piece ha ha.

Ill be back for personals . . . . so much reading!!!

Argh, my minor headache has turned into a full blown migraine, nausea and all. Stuck at work. I've locked myself in my office to tune out the noise, and turned down the brightness of my screen to a "text" mode, which is actually pretty cool. I've had my lunch, picked up some Advil from the drugstore, and I'm armed with a tea. Let's throw down...even though all I really want to do is lie down.

Kukkie-Hang in there! I'm sorry about that migraine that's a really a bummer, but you've got some things to help you out. Just make it through today.

Coondocks-Way to get on that treadmill and do your weights!

Rennie-It's still a LOSS!! ;) Have you laced up your running shoes?!

LGW-Way to pass up the fast food places! I don't know if I would have the same resolve! :smug:

Jami-HEEEY! Cute Cinderella reference. I'm glad you're getting the positive reinforcement from co-workers. You deserve it! I can't believe you're in jeans from 6 years ago, that's incredible. BRAVO!:D

FitGirly-Give it time, you'll be back down soon.

Lili-WTG!! HUGE LOSS! :carrot:

SwimGirl-I'm sorry about all this work stuff. Keep your head up. Pretty lame advice I know, but when it's out of your control...what the **** else can you do? We're rooting for you. Are you still running? :woops:

Rennie - I totally forgot to tell you about my stepper, its not the little red and black one, but I know the one you're talking about. It does have handles you can lean into if need be, but it's not anything fancy. It adjusts to different heights for the pedals, it counts your steps but that's really it. It does and AWESOME job for the back side and quads though. I can read, watch tv, listen to music, i've even been known to pick up some free weights while using it.

Aimee - WTF? That's all I have to say to that whole situation but you knew that already. It's a pitty the mngr can't see the asset he is willing to loose because he has his 'reasons' for not putting her in line. Ridonculous I tell you.

Aka - Check out that drop, wow!! Good on ya!!

Kukkie - ugh, nothing worse than a migraine when you have to work. Here's hoping it goes away soon for you.

Haven't been on the scale since like forever :D feeling pretty good about it.Will WI Thursday.went to Zumba last night and just spent 2 hours on the track.felt good  Early morning Zumba and power pump Tomorrow. so things are good.Got a clean bill of health from the doctor today :) It was kinda emotional..he and i were talking about how far I've come.what I've been through.how bad my health was...
He asked,if people looked at me differently now? I said no cause most people don't recognize me or think I've had an operation. He asked what did my sister think (she always had to take me to see him cause i couldn't fit under my drivers seat to drive there).
I told him that i now weight less than her.I told him how she always looked down(thought she was better) on me cause she was smaller. How hard I've worked to get here. How I'd walk in the cold.. I started to cry :o his eys welled up :o we talked about other suff with me crying :o He said that 150 or 160 would be a good weight range for me.

Down 1.2 to 200.6 today -- hoping for another loss tomorrow to bring me back under 200. My numbers today are okay...1345 calories, 2092 sodium, 65 carbs and 91 protein. I hope that's good enough for a loss. :D

AKA -- Congratulations on your weigh in!

Aimee -- Sorry the meeting didn't go better. :( I think you've tried hard to make things work with this impossible person. My friend's father always used to say though, 'never quit one job unless you have another one' -- so that's my advice to you. Find something else first before you give them your notice, just to be safe.

Diana -- I've cut back on my reality tv too, but I still watch quite a bit of it. I don't always watch DWTS but I like the cast this year. I'm trying to decide which type of restaurant to go to for my bday....a steakhouse would be great, I could get a lean steak with veggies and still feel 'treated' and be on plan, but I'm really wanting to go to a Thai restaurant since my bday is the only time I can get the family to try food of a different culture....plus I love Thai food, but there are a lot of carbs there!

Kukkie -- Good job on your weigh in today! Have you noticed the difference at the GO parking lot? I have to park in the back lot now because of the potential bus strike. I had to pop some advil today too...I think the change in weather is messing with my sinuses.

Lili -- Sounds like a great weigh in! Congrats on the clean eating and gym time you've been putting in :)

Jami -- Congratulations on your 1.7 loss today! I am  at this one.. I also wore a shirt yesterday that was too tight to wear last year (think Gus the mouse when Cinderella gave him his shirt) I so get that...lol. I also lost quickly at first and then it slowed down quite a bit; it is frustrating, but losing slowly is better than staying the same, and definitely better than gaining. It's about a life style change anyway, so there's no big rush to get to a finish line. Even when we get to goal it's not as though we can start eating whatever we want or stop exercising. Take your time and enjoy life on the way.

Roxy -- :val1: Happy anniversary!! :val1:

Kyalpn -- hang in there! Good job on your 1lb today :)

LGW -- Good job on picking the chicken place. One good choice at a time is the way to success -- keep the momentum you had in your mind. :)

Rennie -- Congrats on your .2! Are you going to enter your food in Loseit now? You need to add a picture on there :) I am out of asparagus, so I'm just drinking tonnes of tea tonight. I found a new flavour -- Earl Grey Vanilla -- and it's so delicious that with some sweetener I can pretend it's dessert. Wow, your numbers are so low today; did you skip a meal?

Angie you've been doing great. Good job on the 1.2lbs gone :high: Where are you on the 7lb challenge? Only a little over 4 pounds to go for you I think :woohoo:. I have 10+ to go now I eat a ton of Fit & Active foods from Aldi and none of them are on lose it so I need to add them. I may do that this weekend. Nope didn't skip a meal, I ate peanut butter wheat toast for breakfast, caramel pumpkin spice Greek yogurt and spinach for lunch and for dinner I made two crab cakes w/ olive oil mayo and Italian bread crumbs and asparagus and earlier I had 6 doritos and 36 oyster crackers (there's my sodium) and 124ozs of water ... hoping for a little downward motion on the scale :crossed:

Crainjo -- Are you taking a course for work?

Rennie -- Thanks :) I'm not positive, but I think it's closer to 5lbs I still have to lose, since I gained one the first day after we started...lol. I had peanut butter toast for breakfast too -- I made 2 pieces for Cameron and he only ate one, so I had his leftovers. I've been using Loseit since last year so I've entered so many custom foods and recipes that I rarely have to do it anymore.

Diana - you really overslept! My goodness, was the sleep in good though?

Kukkie - sorry to hear about your headache, migraines are no fun :(

Roxy - unfortunately the manager does know, he's just being lazy. I've been so occupied with my work stuff, I didn't notice how you are really pushing through those 150's! Wow! Congrats :D

Jami - I was wondering where you were!! Welcome back my dear! Sounds like even though you are needing a vacation, you are doing well. Lots of positive things, and some great realizations. Weight loss will slow, but your happiness is what will keep you moving towards your goal. You are a pretty great person yourself :) 45 pounds gone is a pretty fabulous milestone, and know we are always here wishing you well!

kyalpn - I'm definitely feeling sorry for myself sometimes, but for some reason I'm hanging in there, no comfort foods, well maybe some, but I make room in my calories for it! This is something new for me, normally I let me derail all my exercise/dieting progress. I'm a little proud of me ;) Down 1 pound is pretty great! It's definitely the slow and steady ones that win this weight loss race!

Rennie - thanks for the facebook post, made me smile :) Down is down! Have you attempted to run again?

aka - I'm still running! I did week 2 day 1 yesterday, and will tackle day 2 on Thursday! how's yours going? And how are you feeling these days? Any better?

Coondocks - sorry to hear thinks aren't "moving", hopefully it isn't anything serious, there isn't much worse than not moving! Yeah the whole work thing is WTF, I haven't really made any final decisions.. I'm doing a different job most of this week so life is easy :)

Angie - definitely not quitting this one before I have something lined up, which I do.. but my perks at my current job are pretty great, so I'm hesitant to just give them up. So I'm going to push through Christmas, and reassess afterwards. Good numbers, and great WI :D Time to get back into onederland!

Good Morning, Everyone!

I went to bed early last night and slept well. I think I am just trying to play catch up from the TTOM insomnia I had last week.

I didn't have any issues with the new coffee yesterday. I still have some of the low acid coffee left. I will probably alternate them until the low acid one is gone.

I bought 2 Mums yesterday and put them at the front of the house. They are really pretty. I also bought a new Fall wreath for the front door a couple weeks back. Still loving the look of the new wreath. I took down the Fall flag and put up the Halloween flag. :haphal: :sklol: I am ready for Fall. Hopefully I can keep the Mums alive.

Today is my haircut and dinner at the Japanese restaurant.

Calories for yesterday: 1440 + :coffee:

Weigh In: 145 (TTOM)

Down: .8

ETA: I forgot to mention something funny that happened yesterday. DH is working on a major project for a customer. DH normally discusses this project in the shop with the customer while showing him how the project is coming along. I have never talked with this customer in person, only on the phone and have never been up close to him. Yesterday this customer came to the shop. DH was on the phone so the customer came into the office. Then DH had to step out and talk with another customer. I was talking with the customer in the office and keeping him busy until DH came back in. Anyways, he asked me if I was "the daughter". THE DAUGHTER! I have had quite a few people think that I am DH's daughter since I have lost weight. I think it's so funny. After the customer left, I told DH about it. He has such a good attitude about all of this. He said "that means you look good". Gotta love him! Then I said "Daddy, can I sit on your lap?"

VERY EXCITED HERE!!!

Angie - thanks for the tip about the asparagus. It's not my favorite vegetable in the world, but I sauteed it with garlic and lemon juice and it was actually very good. Congrats on the great weigh in yesterday!!! :)

Aimee - sorry about all the crap you're going through at work. :( It sounds like a really tough situation. BUT -- you are STRONG and you can make it through. Focus on yourself and the things you can control ... and keep moving forward.

Diana - I'll keep my fingers crossed that your mums make it. ;) Awesome about you being "the daughter" --- love it!!! That's gotta feel great.

Jami - welcome back!! Rest up and take care of yourself. Let me know how you're feeling by next Monday RE: starting C25K. No worries if you aren't. Although I'm a somewhat athletic fluffy gal, I'm still horribly out of shape and can always use the extra time to prep. ;) Anyway, glad to see you back!!

Rennie - Good morning! Your day yesterday looked great!!

AKA - I know what you mean about looking in the mirror and not seeing it. But the numbers don't lie. Eventually, they keep adding up and you'll pass by a mirror and do a double-take. :) It's hard to notice such gradual changes when you see yourself every day, lol! Keep going!!

I'm here too! I gained 2 lbs in September. 189.4 today. Down .2

This is from my binge free thread this morning. I'll be back at lunch time for personals. Missed you guys!
__________
Things are starting to get better in my world. It got really overwhelming there for a minute. I'm proud to say that I did not turn to food! That has been the most stressed that I think I have ever been. I really felt desperate. Through all of it, I realized that I have HUGE issues with pride and outward appearances. I have swallowed that pride and asked for help....and you know what I got? I got the help that I asked for. It was as easy as just asking for it. It's going to come in steps, but all we do in this life is one step at a time, right?

Anyway, so...no binge. :yay: I had to sit with some REALLY uncomfortable feelings and I cried A LOT for 4 days. I felt hopeless, I felt like that were no choices or options, I felt lost. I didn't like ANY of those feelings and I hated how I was acting. I am thankful for it all now that I am on the other side of it. I made it....and I made it without food. It wasn't easy by any stretch of the imagination, but I did it.

Today, it teaches me that a binge free life is truly possible for me. There will always be challenges and stresses, it's all in how we handle them. We can let food numb us or we can face it and learn something from all of the pain or anxiety. Then maybe the next time it won't be AS bad. :dunno:

I slept the entire night without waking for the first time in a month. Today, I don't feel overwhelmed. Today, I feel hopeful.

Day 361 today.

My rings were tight, and my legs were heavy this morning. Lo and behold I had a 1.2 gain to 198.3. According to an app on my BB, I'm ovulating now, so maybe that's a potential cause? I don't know, I've never really tracked that so it'll be interesting to see next month. In any case, going to do what I have to do.
Going to MIL's for dinner tonight, and you all know how much I hate eating there... will have to get in some extra water while I'm at work. Oh and for the record, the advil and tea really helped yesterday!

I'm up 1.2 to 158.6, so I'm up 1.6 total from my low. I'm gonna be a fishy today, an asparagus eatin' fishy! We did go out for dinner. We went for Italian. I tried to make better choices than I would have before, but I didn't try to make them be actually on plan. I think 1.2 is not so bad and it could have been much worse (he originally suggested Mexican). I'm just happy that it didn't take me back out of the 150s, now it's time to buckle down and get back to where I should be. C'mere 157. I have an anniversary related NSV too. I can shop at Victoria's Secret. That is an NSV both about my body size (I fit, in medium even) and my mental and emotional state about my size since I would have fit months ago (medium now means large or XL a while back) but I was too scared and had too many issues to even walk in the door (other than to grab my Love Spell).

Jami - I'm lovin' the attitude. While all of us wish we could keep up the loss rate we have when we first start, it's a rare person who does. Are you doing a lot of strength training? If I recall correctly, you are, so make sure you are measuring with a tape measure and not just the scale. I weigh more than any 5'2" chick has any right to weigh and fit into a size 8, and it's because of the weights and other strength training. Congrats on the clothing NSVs.

kyaplan - It is best to stick to one scale for your tracking anyhow, and it doesn't really matter which one because they will all show X amount of pounds lost, so I say use the one that makes you happy.

Coondocks - I was finally able to get to the gym and have some lovely elliptical time and am loving my sore calves, thighs, and hips. Yep, we are sick, sick puppies, lol.

Ona - I love your doctor story, and now I'm all teary eyed. What a sweet, sweet doctor you have to be crying with you!

aka - so glad you're feeling better. You're doing better than me with the C25K, I've had to skip days and just dis W3D1 yesterday. You're doing awesome!

Aimee - Maybe you need to remind the manager that her behavior could end up getting the store, and him since he knows about it and isn't doing anything, in legal trouble if she messes with the wrong person?

Diana - I am so ready to get the Halloween decorations up, gonna hit it this weekend if not before. That's cute about your DH, I'm glad he has a good attitude about it.

Pgh - Congrats on hitting the 40 down mark! :yay:

Vixsin - Congrats on not letting life make you turn to food to deal. Hopeful is good. 361 days is awesome! You are awesome!

Good Morning All!
WI at 237.0 this morning- just .2 up from yesterday, so I consider that holding strong :) I over indulged last night in sodium laden rotisserie chicken because I was too busy (or lazy?) to cook- plus I am a total salt addict and I use sea salt on EVERYTHING, adding insult to injury...lol. Whats this thing about asparagus I see floating around? Is it supposed to help with water retention? I overslept for the gym this morning but I have a great class to go to tonight, so no worries here. Hoping to see some more downward movement soon though- I've been really good lately!

Down a little bit this morning, I jumped on teh scale just to see and i was 183.6. So, still no "movement" but I'm getting milk of magnesium brought home for me today so lets hope that helps.
I got in another 30 minutes on the treadmill with an inlcine and threw in some hand weights. It actually took away all of the boredom I ws feeling with it, just doing simple 1 minute intervals of different exercises with the free weights, made the sweat poor out too . . . will have to do that again.

Roxy - We are sick sick puppies ha ha, and I love it!! I haven't got the burn in my calves yet, but I can feel the muscles coming back . . . . the derriere is still not happy with me ha ha. Victorias secret huh? Go on with your sassy self!!!

Vix - I am so proud of you! 361 days is incredible!! I love that you are feeling hopeful, I woke up this morning feeling the same way :) :)

Kukkie - I imagine that would make a difference for sure, hormonal changes absolutely affect a weigh in. Good luck with MIL supper, you'll get through it . . . you're a lot stronger than you think :) :)

Aimee - Things will get moving eventually, doing what I can. NO harm in waiting until after christmas, loosing perks is a tough one for sure. And, really, it is mature of you to come at it the way you have and give the opportunity for this 'solution' of meetings to try and work.

BBL for everyone else, so much umping around these last couple of weeks its ridiculous.

crainjo - definitely sodium from last nights dinner! Don't sweat it, drink lots of water and it'll be gone in no time!

Diana - Glad you got a good sleep last night :) What did the hubby say about the daddy thing? Josh loves to joke about me being a "sugar mommy", I make less than him so I always just laugh. Have a great dinner tonight! I'm hungry and the thought is making my mouth water!

Jess - congrats on 40 pounds lost!! :carrot: When are you planning to start C25K? Join us! Sounds like a horror movie line.. I'm doing week 2 right now, it's tough, but we are all tougher :D

Vixsin - asking for help can be the hardest thing, glad you did it though! We all need help from time to time. Congrats on staying binge free :)

Kukkie - is that app helpful for you? I always think about getting an app for that, but I just forget! Sorry about the gain, stay strong, it'll be gone in no time!

Roxy - Sorry about your gain, enjoy the water and asparagus today! Great NSV on Victoria's Secret, both mental and physical :D I have a new plan for the work thing, I'm going to go into the next meeting with the store manager and my dept manager with an open mind, I'm going to be calm and emotionless just as the store manager suggested, and when she just sits there and doesn't respond, I'm going to point that out to him. He clearly doesn't remember that she shuts down, and if I'm going in to open up and work on things and she's not.. kind of says it all. And when he doesn't say/do anything about that - I'm going to the district manager, and when he does nothing, I will go to HR. I'm going to be respectful, follow my chain of command, and make sure I'm very calculated and record everything! If all else fails I'll key her car ;)

I am off to shower, I will bbl hopefully with my WI! Depending on how slow I move it might be later tonight!

Aimee - it's designed to track TOM, and I got it after I went off the BCP. I can't tell you how handy it's been, without it I'd totally lose track of when TOM is coming! Everytime you enter in that TOM has arrived and ended, it automatically calculates your average cycle and tells you when you should expect the next one. Love it! Totally worth the $2.99 for the deluxe version, which tells me about ovulation, allows me to track moods, etc.

Up ? 212.6 -- I guess up 0.6 from 212.0 -- well, I guess no whoosh - but I had lunchable and chocolate for dinner....I have decided that 212-214 is my new low and new high from which I need to come down. I've been in this range for >30 days now.

It annoys me, because I have been avoiding so much over the last month and actually being picky when I'm out with friends -- so it would be nice to start showing something for it!

Well as the saying goes --- I'm not where I want to be, but I am definitely not where I used to be!

Have a great WI everyone :)

Morning! I'm at work, so can't do personals right now. Will sit down tonight and really read and post.

I was disappointed to see 0.5 up today, but I knew it was coming. Because number one: my diuretic hasn't been working as effectively as it usually does the last couple days. Doesn't help that I haven't been getting in my water like I usually do.

Number two: this is a pot luck week at work, and yesterday was Mexican. I loooooooooooovvvvvvveeeee Mexican food! Let me repeat that one more time for empahsis: I. LOVE. MEXICAN FOOD! ;) I took a much smaller portion, opted for the chicken instead of beef and only used a little cheeze and taco sauce as topping, but I know the sodium content was out of the park all on it's own, never mind the calories (I just counted those up this morning on Fat Secret). :o

Number three: I started getting a migraine last night before bed, so I'm wondering if my absent monthly friend is about to make a visit? :club:

Coon: I'm glad you're feeling better. I'm gonna try for a little incline walk tonight. I got some new sneaks last night and I'm itching to put them on.

LGW: I love this! "I'm not where I want to be, but I am definitely not where I used to be" That is so true! Keep on fighting!

Kukkie: I've got an app like that on my phone too. It's freaky how its really accurate. LOL

Well so far so good today. I am having an ENORMOUS salad for lunch! I bought at at a salad bar in the grocery store. OMG!! The plan for dinner is Noodle and Meatball madness which is just noodles, meatballs and sauce all mixed together in a big bowl. Maxwell likes it because of the name. LOL I think I am going to have a small serviing with a HUGE salad. I've got some romaine hearts, red peppers, and a cuke that I could do up.

Mandy 3FC was having some issues yesterday because I couldn't get on at one point either. So it's not the internet there :D Good job on the .9 down and congrats on your new low yesterday :high:

Ona oh my goodness, (I'm wanting to feel your head) LOL what were you doing up after 10pm. Thanks on the weigh in  I am down .8 to 178.2 this morning. Not what I want but at least it's in the right direction :)

Angie I started adding a few things last night, just have to do a few more each day. I need to figure out how to change the serving sizes though. For breakfast today I have my caramel pumpkin protein Greek yogurt smoothie. :)

Amanda good for you on being 100% OP and moving on to W4 of C25K, you go Girl :high: You know it's funny, I don't mind what I see in the mirror though I'm not thrilled, however when I have a photo taken oh my goodness, ewww. Just not what I want to look at/see :) My Mom uses abreva she says it works fine.

Coondocks hope you get your netbook back soon, thanks for the info on the stepper. :) Good job on the treadmill with the weights and you know that scale will start moving soon

Thanks Aimee I'm glad you are holding your own and not letting the stresses of the job derail you, WAY TO GO :high: That FB post is forever true  I say that to someone on some matter almost daily, because I believe it  No I haven't started to TRY to run again, but I will :) Oh I agree with Coondocks, you are the ONLY mature person in the matter, that is something to be proud of  Aimee :lol3: on the comment to Roxy, you are not crazy but that is too funny because I can see you with your calm self saying those words

crainjo you will kick that sodium out of the door with a quickness when you are back to your routine :)

Diana (Mrs Fall) house sounds pretty :) glad things are working with the coffee and you are resting well. LOL Diana you naughty girl ... well you had to give your husband a huge hug and kiss after a comment like that, so sweet :)

Thanks Jess :woohoo: way to go on the 2.4lb whoosh and 40lbs GONE ... yay YOU :high:

Hi Vixsin  good to see you and good job on the .2 down :) Vixsin  glad you are taking one step at a time (and without food) and are now on the other side of things, feeling hopeful is a great thing. You're a strong woman  Dinner sounds delish

Kukkie sorry about the rough morning, but glad you are better than yesterday. You'll be fine at your MIL's, will the baby be there this evening? That'll get you to smiling for sure :) have a great day  I need that app, I never know when I'm coming on. Which one is it. I'll have my daughter get it also. Thanks

Roxy, great NSV at VS :)

Hi Lili, I crave salt more so than sweet, but after a little bit of something salty I am done quickly. Since starting my journey I want it but don't like it as much after I get it. Maybe your salt need with gradually decrease also ... .2 isn't bad at all ... you'll see that downward movement soon :)

LGW I think about your saying so much now, and I am definitely not where I want to be, but I'll get there ;). You'll get back to your low, just keep doing what you're doing  It'll pay off.

Kya feel better, .5 isn't bad, water will flush it away since you know it's sodium, have a great day :)

Ok I'm down .8 to 178.2 going down but slowly. I'm going to try to have another low calorie, high protein filling day today :)

Have a great OP day Everyone

good afternoon everyone!

no weigh in for me today. several reasons. the main one being i woke up PARCHED. my throat was so dry i chugged half a liter of water before i realized i hadn't weighed in. whoops. probably a good thing though, seeing as i didn't get ANY sleep last night. i went to bed at midnight. tossed and turned. got up at 1am, found hubby sleeping on the couch, made him go to bed. tried again. still tossed and turned. got up and played on the computer until 3am or so. watched a movie i'd seen several times trying to make myself sleepy, watched it through the end credits. 4:30 in the morning i grabbed a boring old history book (very dry reading) from when i was in school... and instead of it making me sleepy, it made me think about going back to school! ugh. 5:30am i finally force myself into the bedroom to lay down. probably finally get to sleep around 6am. hubby's alarm goes off at 6:45, normally i sleep through his morning routine, but not today. every little thing kept me awake. he left around 8am. i fell back asleep until 10am when i got a text message. tried to go back to sleep. managed it until 11:30 when i had to pee. tried to nap some more but hubby came home at noon.

i haven't talked to him (more than "hi" and "go get in bed") since monday night when we had a really bad fight... which is why i'm not sleeping. and i keep trying to convince myself it was an irrational fight, and my fault, so i can apologize and get rid of this awful tension. but every which way i look at it, i can't see how he could be right in this. maybe it's just cause my self esteem is taking a huge hit here. we've only been married for 4 months. topic of the fight? he's *always* too tired for sex. ALWAYS. even when we go to bed early. and in the morning? 'i have to get ready'... any other time of day? homework. and i don't mean he tells me he's too tired, i mean he falls asleep in the process. WTF. i can't even excite my husband enough for him to stay awake. :(

sort of a sad NSV last night though. as i was stressing this, i wandered into the kitchen to 'snack it out'... and stopped myself after a single cookie instead of the whole freakin jar. *sigh* look on the bright side i guess. i just wanna cry.

sorry for being depressing...

Mandy, I'm sorry you and your honey are fighting. I'm not at all qualified to give advice in this area, but if he is falling asleep during sex...I don't know a man that can do that. Wow, no kidding Rennie! It's a ghost town in here!!

Jami --- Awesome staying the same today!!! And AKA is right - we fluffy chicks know how it is. ;)

Mandy, sorry for your domestic issues with your hubby. :( If he's literally falling asleep, that makes me think it's not YOU but rather his energy level in general. Girl, if anything, you are lookin' and feelin' better than ever, so I don't internalize it. In my experience, relationships have "phases" and sometimes things ebb and flow. The thing that struck me from what you wrote is that he's falling asleep and is fatigued overall -- if he was just putting you off and not interested period, that would be a different story, IMO. Anyway, I won't go on and on, but I hope things improve!! Stay away from the cookies and other snacks - but great job on stopping after one cookie!!

Just heard about the passing of Steve Jobs. :( As someone who has an infatuation with my iPhone and other Apple products, this is a very sad day. :(

Hey gang,

Another milestone for me today - FINALLY under 250!!! WI this morning has me at 249.8 - I will wait until tomorrow to see if it's "for real" but I'm thrilled regardless!!!! Down from 251.2 yesterday.

My only complaint today is that it's FREEZING inside my house but I've resolved not to turn on the heat until I can't possibly stand it anymore. The sad thing is that it's 67 degrees in my house, but it just feels so chilly! My little toes are ice cubes!!

 Hope everyone has a kick arse day!! Today my goal will be to NOT screw up the progress I've made, and to hit the gym. If I weigh tomorrow and am again at 249.8, I'll be ecstatic.

Good morning ladies! I had a great WI yesterday morning, since I got to sleep in. 258.3 I believe! Probably won't be so great today, I am exhausted! I feel like I could sleep for another 10-12 hours! Luckily I have a shorter day at work, but after work I need to try and get a run in, and do some laundry.

Rennie - I managed to act calm all day yesterday! I ran into my boss 3 times, first time when I first arriving to work, Josh said hi & made a joke, the 2nd time was in the bathroom, my trainee was in there, so I just talked to her, and the 3rd was when she was in cosmetics making my cousin cry. My cousin works in cosmetics - for now - and she was telling her that she did a horrible job, not how to do it better, but just how bad she did it. So I got to spend 1.5 hours doing damage control, the poor girl couldn't stop crying, she is only 16, and lucky for her this is the first person to talk down to her. Phew! Another novel from me! How was your day yesterday? I haven't seen any workouts from curves - or have I missed them?

Amanda - I have no advice for a cold sore - there is a ton of different medicated lip products, but I have a feeling they aren't the same in Canada vs the USA. Coldsore FX looks like a good one though!

Mandy - there is definitely something up, but it has nothing to do with you! And he's probably super embarrassed and mad at himself for what's happening, remember this is his manhood, its going to be extremely tough to talk about without having it blow up. I'd come at it from the point of you being concerned for his level of energy - that's something thats easier to "fix". Maybe he really is just suffering from a lack of energy right now, a lot of people are effected by the lack of sunshine - for example? I'm up at 6:30am for work, but there is no sun up yet :( And I always wake up exhausted! But a couple of months ago, getting up at 6 was no problem because the sun was already peeking into my bedroom getting me up. Good job on only eating one cookie! :D

Diana - good morning

And with that I'm off to get ready for work!

182.2 BOOO YAY!!!!!
Things are moving in the right direction - in more ways then 1 lol.
Some advice - if you take milk of magnessium even a small amount, dont assume getting on the treadmill for a light walk is a good idea ha ha. 10 minutes in and i was hitting the bathroom. TMI I know, but i am feeling so so much better now, phew.

I dont have much time before we head out to daycare, work then dropping my mom off at the airport tonight. Shes off to visit my brother and Jack and I get our own thanksgiving, just me and him:)

Mandy - just a quick note, i have to agree with other posters, it's not you. Falling asleep durring is a physical issue hubby is having, could be as simple as lack of energy but if he's falling asleep durring - he's still wanting to be intimate with you, don't forget that ok? *hugs* stay strong lady!!

'Morning ladies! Crazy day ahead... I was on the first train into downtown this morning because I had too early morning meetings, except halfway on my ride in, both meetings got cancelled! It's all good though, early bird gets the worm...except I hate worms! Never mind  Today is my Friday :cheer2: I took tomorrow off, and Monday is Thanksgiving here, so I have a nice long weekend. But because most of the people I work with are in the UK and the US that means I need to make sure a lot of stuff gets done today so I'm not harassed during my time off! I need to learn how to turn off my work BB.

I'm down 0.4 this morning to 197.9 but I'm a bit worried about tonight. It's pizza and wine night at my house to accompany the start of the NHL season (hubby's sport) and a decision making game 5 baseball game (this one is all me - Go Yankees!). I'm having a salad for a lunch though to save my calories, and going to have plenty of water throughout the day, so hopefully I can minimize the damage. On another front though, hubby said he should be done with the painting the basement (some trim left and cleaning) today, so I could have my gym back by tomorrow morning :dancer:

I didn't post this last night, I was too tired:

I didn't mention this after my last hair appointment because I wanted to see how things went this month. :D Are you ready for something crazy? :D Between my August hair appointment and my September appointment I noticed some changes in my hair. My hair is normally straight as a board. I have to use a round brush and/or use velcro rollers to get some curl and body. Between these two appointments, I noticed that my hair has gotten curly. :D I actually thought I was going crazy. At my September appointment, Charmaine (my hairdresser) washed my hair and was getting ready to cut it. She was getting some things together and my hair started curling. I asked Charmaine what was wrong with my hair. :D She looked at it, then ran her fingers through it. She said "it's curly". I told her that I had noticed that it had gotten curly in the last month and it was driving me crazy because I didn't know what was wrong with it. We made a few changes in my cut because I wanted something a little different. When I left the hair appointment, I called my Mom and asked who has curly hair in the family. She said that my Great Grandmother had curly hair. Good grief, why are her genes coming out in me now, after all of these years? :D So anyways, my hair has made me nuts all month long. I still can't fix it. I went to my hair appointment today. Charmaine said that she can tell that my hair has turned curly because the curl is all the way to the scalp, not just on the ends. We adjusted the cut a little more. She also told me that I will need to work with the round brush/dryer a little more to get my hair to do what I want it to do. It will just take me some time to learn how to fix it. Before I used the round brush/dryer to curl my hair and give it body. Now I will be using the round brush/dryer to smooth my hair and to get rid of the curl so I will only have body.

Charmaine said she had noticed that while I was losing weight that my hair had thinned some. She said my hair looks a little thicker now. She thinks the hair is growing back and it's coming in curly.

So, I lose weight and acquire a food allergy and curly hair. Go figure! :D I guess it could be worse, right? ;)

Gooooood Morrrnniinnngggg!!!!
Wow, what an intense new release of Body Attack at Gold's last night for anyone who takes it... I sweated more than I ever have in that class, and, this morning at Weight In- I'm Down Another 4 Pounds!!!! Yes, 4 Pounds!!!! I have never had 2 "whooshes" in one week before and I'm wondering if this one will hold on or not- just strange to lose 7 pounds in a week, right? However, I have been super careful about my food choices, eating very clean, drinking my water, and I added running back into my workouts- so maybe its not an illusion :) At any rate, I'm super happy and that gave me the motivation I needed to get in the gym tonight for a nice long run since we're having sirloin steak (in the crockpot- yum!) for dinner tonight. I trimmed all the visible fat off, but still, beef is not something we frequently have in our house, its very much a treat. How is everyone else doing? October is being very good to me so far!

Up a measly .4 today. Fahget about it! (use heavy "wise guy" acces while reading that sentence.) ;)

Mandy -- I agree with everyone else. The fact that he's at least trying to do it says a lot in my book. And I would flip your assumption that you it's you and agree with Jess that his falling asleep during proves he's exhausted through and through. He could easily just throw excuses but he clearly wants to regardless of how much his body might be telling him to sleep. You guys have had a lot going in the last month and he's a busy guy. Be patient (I know, easier said than done) and things will turn around. And job with the cookie! :yay:

Amanda -- Yes we do! Weightloss is a sisterhood like no other.

Jess -- Yes, the passing of Steve Jobs is very sad. He was a leader in his industry with creativity and ingenuity. And like I just told Amanda - Weightloss is a sisterhood like no other! And yes, I'm feeling much better and am still planning to start C25K next Monday. :D

Kwigg -- You CAN do this!

Aimee -- Sounds like you're handling the work sitch like a pro. Pretty incredible that you don't just lunge at her to give her a quick smack down. She has no idea how lucky she is to still be standing. ;)

Coondocks -- Nice job. I don't...eh hem...go enough myself. Makes me wonder if I'm always blocked up and just can't tell 'cause I'm always that way. I think I'll try some milk of magnessium this weekend...but only if I don't have anywhere to be. :D

Kukkie -- Bummer about the meetings but sometimes it is nice to get in early and get ahead of the game. And yay on being so close to getting your gym back! Good luck w/ dinner tonight. I'm sure you'll do fine. Monday is a holiday for us too...Columbus Day. It's my favorite holiday because I get off work but my kids still have school!

Diana -- Lol about the curly hair. I was born w/ straight but by high school it was super curly. Then the curly went away with my first pregnancy and never came back. So strange our bodies are!

Lili -- That's quite a few :cloud9: you've got there! Keep up the good work!

Angie

Poop. I'm up .8 today for no good reason. Must be the higher sodium the last few days. Today is so so, on track for calories, higher than I should be for carbs/sodium (89/1065) for this point in the day. I have a social event for work to attend this evening, so I don't know what will be available for food and I will have a drink or two (vodka/club soda). Ah well, you have to live your life as you lose weight.

AKA -- Kudos for being 100% on plan yesterday! When I get a coldsore and don't have any Abreva I just dab minty toothpaste on it...it seems to dry it up and I like the tingly feeling, it makes me feel like it's working some kind of magic.

Crainjo -- Sounds like an interesting course! I love taking courses for my work, but I hate that you are often stuck eating whatever is provided. I don't like to complain about anything I've been given as a courtesy, but sometimes it's just so far from my plan that it's hard to appreciate.

Coondocks -- lol I did hit ONEderland a week or so ago (September 22nd to be exact :D) but I bounced in and out a bit and I'm trying to work my way back in again. It won't be easy with Thanksgiving and bday celebrations this weekend. Have you completely recovered from teh flu now? Hope things get moving for you again soon!

Aimee

Diana -- I bought my mums too early this year, they have lost all their flowers already -- I'm sure not watering them has not helped...I recommend that you water yours...lol. OMG too funny about your DH -- good thing he has a good sense of humour!

Jess -- Congratulations on losing 40lbs! That is awesome, you are doing a great job. :carrot:

Vixsin -- Ouff...tough month for you. I'm proud of you for making it through wihtout binging and for making the decision to ask for help when you needed it, I'm sure that wasn't easy.

LGW -- I'm not where I want to be, but I am definitely not where I used to be! Love that!

Kyalpn - Good luck with the pot luck at work!

YIKES -- THIS WAS FROM YESTERDAY AND I LEFT IT OPEN AND FORGOT TO HIS SEND...I ALSO DIDN'T FINISH MY POST, BUT I'M HITTING SEND NOW TO AT LEAST POST WHAT I HAVE HERE :)

Jami - I heard horror stories about MOM before, but I didn't think it was bad at all. I'm not a fan of mint at all and that's the flavour they used to cover up the chalky taste, just make sure you have a glass of water to chase it with. It's odd saying it was gentle on the system, but it really was, I feel so much better.

Diana - funny how hair can change like that in life isnt it? I used to have poker straight, could not hold body, curl, nothing. After having Jack, I at least have some nice body to it and since taking biotin, its got a nice bounce even :)

Kukkie - Bah! I hate when meetings get cancelled when you're in transit to them, so annoying, but if it's a nice enough day, it could celar your schedule for something else to do. I'd be excited for getting the gym back, so awesome!

lil - NICE drop this morning!!

Pgh - Congrats on breaking that 250!! Great going!!

Aimee - Calm is not the word, composed and mature is what you are, and I'd have thrown down with her . . . . sterotypical Irish temper right here ha ha. The situation with your cousin, that's not right, at all! Any one in a supervisory roll has no business belittling any mbr of staff - ever, and certainly NOT in front of anyone else. WTF is wrong with this woman??

Morning everybody

WI @169.6 today.Down 1.2 since my last WI on Sunday @ 170.8 :carrot: It was a very interesting time not Weighing In every day.I focused more on what i was eating and wasn't so obsessed w/what the scale said, which in return...Not seeing those fluctuations.i had a better frame of mind about everything.Feel better about weighing in every other day now and won't feel so stressed when i can't WI any more.:)

BBL...gotta catch up on what's going on round here :D

I'm down .8 to 157.8, so halfway back to my low. Lots of water and lemon juice and asparagus again today.

Aimee - Good plan, move up the chain until you get results.

Mandy -

Pgh - Congrats on being under 250! :yay:

Diana - LOL @ curly hair. If the styling is just too much maybe consider switching your haircut completely to something that would work if you just let your hair do it's thing and be curly?

I'm sorry for not doing better with personals, I am exhausted. I got no sleep because DH was snoring so much all night long. I can't wait for him to see the sleep doctor and hopefully find a way to stop this.

Thank goodness I took you all's advice and typed them in WORD

Jess, I'm always the one with not much to do I come here a lot, so I don't like quiet ;)

kwigg, welcome back, good to see you. I'm hoping to get things under control also. I'll never make it to goal or to the 160's for that matter if I don't. We can do this :) Good job on the pound down :)

Nope Diana nothing wrong with it at all ;), you and DH are such a cute couple :) I love hearing your stories. Sorry about the computer issues with the site. I didn't have any today with the site but I am having trouble with my email. My friends send me emails and they aren't coming through at all, it's driving me nuts. I have had my msn account since 2000 sucks.

Coon, glad the MOM helped.I take some like every 2 weeks to keep things moving But drinking milk and eating broccoli has helped me to kept things moving too.

Angie.sorry bout the sodium.lately I've been eating in reversed order.like a big breakfast, medium lunch and a lite dinner which seems to have help. But then again, that works for my schedule so IDK.Have a good evening :)

I meant to tell you Vixsin,I'm really happy for you  that was a major milestone and you made it :)

Jami  have you started your 25k yet? how's the BFC going?

Lili.you're kicking butt :high: great job !! :)

aka and LCW

You're stll in that groove KuKKie :yay: great job on the .4!

Aimee, love reading about your running  you've found something that you can stick too and that will for sure knock that fat off  Just great!!! :)
Forgot to answer your question some pages back :o All I've did/have been doing is stop eating(just to eat) so much just cause i thought i had to eat to keep my metabolism up.Maybe I've eaten around 1500-1600 for so long,it's already up IDK but..I eat when I'm hungry now, around 1200-1300 a day And in reverse order..big breakfast.medium lunch and a very lite dinner cause I'm not hungry like a big plate of broccoli w/ I can't believe it's not butter . I also added in some night walking/little jogging(or a late gym class) to help the days food down.which i think what has really help.

Diana  that was so cute about the guy thinking you were your DH's daughter :) your DH is an awesome man.A lot of men would not have taken that so well. Some men don't like for their woman/wife to lose weight cause they think that they will get someone else, change the way they feel about them, think they will lose the control they have over them,etc..especially if they had issues themselves.

Hi Diana  hoping TOM departs fully soon :) The joys of the body, forever surprising us :D So you do like your now curly hair I take it or not so much?

Jess good job on the 1.4lbs Gone :high: and Congrats on being under 250 :crossed: for it to stick, you got this :) My house is like that also so I understand, warm up Chickie put some socks on them there toes

Hi Rainy Day :welcome: to the thread and it's never too late to join this wonderful group of people :) Good job on the 2.5lbs Gone :)

Aimee, great weigh in :), glad you got to sleep in, sorry you're still tired  That woman is a bully, someone needs to stop her. Your cousin needs to write down every word she said to her and take it to HR. There's a way to do things and that's not it. Glad that once again you proved to be the bigger person. I think you should have her position. My day was great, I had a PTO meeting in the morning. I came out of the school and had two tires going flat. No worries drove home, parked my van and got in my husbands truck. Went to Bed, Bath & Beyond bought the Genie Bra, which I like but I should have gotten a small but they make the bra fat look good so ok. Nope haven't been to Curves since Monday I think. I may go tomorrow morning. Thanks for noticing :) Have a great calm day

Coondocks that's funny, the walking made the medicine work better/quicker? :) Glad you feel better :) Are you cooking for Thanksgiving or going out to eat?

Kukkie well good for you on the long weekend, enjoy. Hope you get everything taken care of so you don't have to worry about people blowing up your BB this weekend. You won't turn it off, it's just who you are ... so hoping it doesn't go off to much  Good job on the .4 down and glad you're getting your home gym back :)

Lili that's great 7lbs and in a week. You're doing all the right things so it's not strange at all. :) I'd love to lose 7lbs in 2 months :D

Hi Jami

Angie I'm still adding to loseit :)

LGW you can and will do it :)

Ona look at you in the 160's, good job on the 1.2lbs Gone :high: LOL Ona that was yesterday's numbers. I couldn't post last night when I tried but I had it saved in WORD so I posted it this morning without changing the wording. I didn't know what you were talking about  but all fixed now ;) My breakfast this morning was a banana and a teaspoon of pb. I wanted to do my peanut butter toast but didn't have time. This morning was interesting and I had to be at the school also. :) So far I have only had 119 calories today. My daughter is supposed to be taking me to lunch so we shall see what that is. I'll be drinking water for dinner :D

Roxy, good job on the .8 down :), sorry about the lack of rest last night. Hope you get a nap in today

Vixsin good job on the .6 down :)

ma26 :welcome: back, good to see you :) Well you got that trend/plan in the bag for October :)

Let's see if I can post something at work without the computer/site going crazy!

Ona Look at you! That 169 is looking mighty good on you! Congratulations! :carrot:

Rennie I bought a smoothing serum product. It was easier to fix my hair today than it has been in the last 2 months! She adjusted the cut a little, with the idea that it's curlier now. Hopefully things will be improving from here on out.

I"m going to hit send now. It will either work or crash. :dizzy:

ETA: Woo Hoo! It worked. I have some work to do right now. I will try to come back to do personals a little later.

Diana: forgot to respond to you about the coffee the other day! I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the new coffee. And I definitely think alternating is a great idea! I am a Maxwell House drinker myself. I have the instant version as well that I sometimes mix with my protein shake for an afternoon pick me up. I've tried a couple of others over the years, including fresh ground beans, but after a while I tend to have issues with them as well. Maxwell is the only one that's never given me any problems! *knock on wood*

Angie the GO has been rammed with students lately! It's driivng me bonkers. You mentioned a new tea the other day, which had me thinking - have you been into David's Tea at BCC. If not, it's a must!

PghGal 40 lbs gone!!! :cheer2: And under 250! You're rocking it out!

Roxy sorry you aren't sleeping well. My hubs is having sleep issues a lot lately as well, which stinks for him, but apparently I'm only bothered by it when he starts tossing and turning towards dawn. Hope you guys figure things out soon!

Coon I managed to resist quite a few things at MIL's yesterday.. Surprisingly, she didn't push, and I was impressed.

Aimee I can't believe that the store manager would just let her run wild like that. And for her to make your cousin cry is despicable. I know you mentioned having a new job lined up, with less perks.. But did I read somewhere that you're going to stick around until after Christmas?

Rennie the app I have is called Period Calendar Deluxe. I'd be interested in knowing which one Vixsin has too! The baby was not at MIL's house yesterday - they've gone back to their own place. But I will be seeing her next Saturday, so that's exciting!

Jami I loveddd your "heavy wise guy accent" comment

Ona look at you in the 160s! Go get 'em girlfriend

Kukkie - Glad to hear MIL wasn't pushing, maybe things are going to start getting better in that relationship for you . . . here's hoping :)

Rennie - I don't know if there's anythign scientific to back up my theory, but I totally think the walking helped :D We have a pretty packed thanksgiving weekend, we are heading out to a friends acearge on saturday so I can help her make pies. Sunday we are making rosemary chicken for Grandpa and monday we are going to Great-Grandmas for ham. Phew!

Ma - Look at you rocking October already!! Keep it going!!!!

Ona - I think I'm going to keep MOM on hand for that reason, it can't hurt to keep things moving if they won't on their own :)

Roxy - Goodness woman if I tried to keep up with your schedule i'd have tapped out on exhaustion LONG ago, you are phenomenal!! I had a horrible time with my ex and snorring . . . he was loud and could sleep through anything, me not so much :p

Vix - congrats on the loss . .. we are throwing down, i'm feeling fiesty and it looks like you are too! Hee hee

thanks ladies for your input on my situation with my husband. i know he's tired because he's busy. he's got a full class load, tons of homework, he's class president, on the flag football team, preps the chapel for daily worship, and teaches sunday school. he's busy from 8am til midnight most days because he's got so much to do. he's home for an hour for lunch and then an hour for dinner. the rest of the time it's class time, homework time, reading for classes, or in the library for studying... and a couple times a week we make it to the gym. usually weekends. if he's not at practice, in a meeting, writing a sermon, or preparing for sunday school/bible study. he's a perfectionist and his own worst critic. so his efforts take longer than they would for most people, and probably drain him mentally and emotionally from beating himself up.

i try really hard to be understanding in this. i make him dinner every day, make sure he's got quiet time to study, do all the work around the house, etc etc. and i really don't mind it, especially since i'm home all day. the problem is, the only time we get to talk, be close, spend time together is when we're stuffing our faces and bedtime. oh, and saturday grocery shopping. he crashes at bedtime. and usually goes right back to work after dinner. i can't help but feel like i'm just a footnote in his life since we got married and it's gotten worse since we moved here. i talk to him about it and he's always very apologetic, and then says he'll try harder. and i know he means it and wants to. he just doesn't follow through because he puts so much effort into his school work and doesn't know how to do less.

i'm rambling. i need sleep. :(

Diana, enjoy the rest of your day/evening,thanks :) If i could only get rid of this upper abs roll(I'm more satisfied with how my stomach looks, who a thunk it).Now if i wear my waist trimmer i look great.I use to wear it all the time,on the track,to help it go down But being i don't like anything constricting, like girdles..i don't like wearing it.But i made up my mind this morning, that I'm going to wear it more often and just keep on working, that's all i can do.I do see like some dimple in it like I'm starting to break that stubborn fat down too :cp: so...

Ma  wow..you've lost 4.2lbs already and the Month has just started mostly :bravo: great job!!:cp:

aka  are you feeling any better? hows the 25k going? what's this about a date :D I'm so tried of people asking me.."so have you meet any one yet?" like since I've lost weight, men would/should be all over me or something :?:

Ona-Much better. I'm on week 4 and it's going well! I'm pacing myself pretty nicely on the indoor track mostly, with some bass heavy dance/electronica music to keep me going.

This guy came up to me after class the week before I had lost any weight. I've seen him twice since and I'm a little more shrunken every time. It's interesting trying to lose weight while you're seeing someone who may like you the way you are. Huh? But as long as you're feeling it, they will too!

-To your other point,
I guess it's a confidence thing. People's confidence often grows as they lose weight, and your friends/family may read this and assume that confidence will attract someone new. I try to look at it like, they don't want me to find a man, they just notice a positive change in ME.

what do ya think?

I believe that they think, most people that are overweight, men don't like them or are just w/them to try and use them or that people lose weight to get a man, especially my family and friends.I tell them that i lost weight cause i wanted to get healthy cause i was killing myself and to strut harder than i was before  I've had enough drama in my life,I'm happy, content and set in my ways ;) If the Lord wants me to have somebody,he'll send them ,if not so be it..he's everything to me anyway so I'm good :)

Diana hope the smoothing serum does what you want :) and glad you could post today. I wish there was a way for 3FC to tell us that they are experiencing difficulties :)

Kukkie thanks on the coffee smoothie hint :D I never thought of having a coffee flavored smoothie, but I have drank them from McD's and Starbucks, silly me. Your MIL is catching on, so hopefully the pushing foods on you is done :) Thanks on the app. I couldn't locate that one but I found another on the Android Market. I'll let you know how it works. I love to no longer be surprised ;) Aw glad you'll get to see her soon :)

Thanks Amanda glad you aced that test, a B is great IMHO :high:

Coondocks, I'll tell you Thanksgiving is all about the heavy foods  ... Do you remember me losing it last year, with my Mom coming and cooking and then she didn't come. I had panicked for nothing, ended up cooking everything and I did great (I think) with my low sodium meal :D. She has gotten a lot better with the sodium not so heavy handed since she now has to watch her sodium intake.

Mandy good job on the .4 down :)

Ona that's OK I love your pep Mommy talks  I did have a great lunch with my daughter. It's so interesting to be talking to an adult, but still my baby :D. People can't comment on your weight so they have to find something to say, so they want to know about your love life, they just need something to talk about ;) flip it and ask them how's theirs going  ;)

Roxy nope no clue, sorry ...

OK we had lunch at Applebees. I had the soup and salad lunch combo (just added that bread stick) whew numbers are not good.

one order of Cesar salad with tomato and basil soup and one order of Cesar salad with cheddar broccoli soup. Delicious calories 940, sodium 3320 :dizzy: I drank 2 full glasses of water there 20ozs each. 40ozs before I left but I came home feeling like I was gonna pop. I didn't eat the croutons in the soup or salad but I did eat one of those bread sticks. I came home drank more water and then took a 55 minute brisk walk with my neighbor. Came home sweaty though it was chilly so I think I did good :crossed:

Numbers for today

calories 1349, carbs 96, protein 30, sodium 3674 ... gonna need some serious help to whoosh this away

I'm sorry to be behind on personals...I tried to do some yesterday but then left the post open all night and never actually finished!

I went out to a 'managers mingle' last night with a friend from another office...we mingled then we went somewhere else, had dinner and a couple more drinks. I did not stay on plan for dinner...I ate some honey-chicken something or other with rice, so I'm sure I was over on calories and sodium. The scale reflects that, I was up 1.6 to 203 this morning. Today my legs feel like blocks of lead for some reason, so I'm wondering if I'm going to see an even bigger sodium gain tomorrow. Today was okay, pretty much on plan, I did eat lunch in a restaurant, but it was turkey on whole wheat, so how bad can that be?

I promise to catch up on personals tomorrow. It's a long weekend here and I'm starting it off by working from home. If I get my email cleared up early in the day I might even take the afternoon off...wish me luck!

Good Morning All & TGIF!!!

Only have time for a quick check-in but hopefully I'll be back later with personals. Will depend on how crazy the day gets.

I was down .4 from yesterday to 249.4 ... glad to be in the 240s rather than the 250s which seemed to last forever. I was pretty much OP yesterday calorie-wise but I did have a serious snack-attack last night around 10pm. I had 280 calories worth of cinnamon sugar pita chips and wanted to kick myself afterwards. But they are oh-so-yummy. But looking on the bright side, now that the bag is gone, the temptation won't be there for me over the weekend. See how easily I can rationalize this stuff? ;)

Mandy that's a cute outfit. You are built like me. If you are comfortable in it, you should wear it and be confident in it. I'd try the whole nine yards today (hair down, make up, etc.) and see what you think.

Rennie -- prune juice huh? LOL ... gurgle gurgle gurgle!! ;)

Okay - late late late - gotta scoot!!

Good morning!!! I don't have a TGIF comment today because I'm off from work! Yippeeeee.

The pizza didn't hurt me so much. My massive healthy custom salad at lunch and the mucho water did me good. Up 0.2 to 198.1. Minor fluctuation, I can deal with that. I did pass on the wine last night though and stuck with water, so that probably helped too. Anyhoos, hope everyone has a fabulous day! I'm off to breakfast with the hubby!

Good Morning All-
Hope everyone is doing well! 233.0 this morning, ZERO change in either direction, which makes me :) after my 7 pound loss this week... that means it may actually stick! Weekends are always my trouble spots, just crossing my fingersthat I can maintain my willpower, especially with friends coming over and a birthday party on Saturday! Oh, and also- my NSV for today: my engagement ring (he let me pick it out in August) that we never had sized bigger finally fits OK! It is still hard to get it off, but it is much easier to get on and is comfortable on my finger :) It's so pretty! Have a great day everyone!

181 this morning, i'm liking this downward momentum.
What's more important, I think i've found what works for me with out dtruggle. High protein, snack sized finger foods. That doesn't sound right, it's not that I'm eating too small portions, just the opposite, I'm eating a lot of little things to make up one meal.
Like today, lunch is boiled egg, hummus with snap peas, greek yogurt and apple (may or may not have PB, depends on my mood)
All things I love to eat, none of them are bad for me in small portions - which they are - but its the variety, I think that's what's been missing for me. Variety.

Anywho . . . that was long and so odd that tha I JUST discovered that LMAO.

I didn't get in the treadmill last night, took my mother to the aiport, came home later than usual, Jack and I made a version of pigs in a blanket, he's so impressed with himself :) Then I got sucked into my chapter on water, before I relaized it, it was almost 11. At least Jack and I got some 'us' time in making supper and playing a bit.

Ona - packed morning for you :) I miss those days when I could get up and leave the house at 6 am. One of these days i'll convince Jack it's fun to go for a walk before the sunshine wakes up :p

Rennie - Another one with the early morning work outs, way to go!! Here's to a great day and weekend!! What are you're plans for turkey day?

Kukkie - Minor fluctuation indeed, you got this, no worries!! Kudos to you for passing on the wine, tough one i'm sure but man that's got to feel good!!

I'm down 1 pound even to 156.8. New low! :woohoo: I can't believe how quickly I got rid of the sodium/msg/water weight from anniversary celebrations. I'm going to take that as a sign that my body is functioning at a healthier level these days.

Aimee - I just saw the thing about the witch making your cousin cry. Poor girl. You are so awesome for not having beat her down yet. :bravo:

Ona - Thanks for the encouragement. You and your belief that I'd be 'back in no time' are a huge chunk of what kept me from eating the restaurant leftovers that are in the fridge waiting for DH.

ma26 - :welcome:

Rennie - nope, no naps for me. I have to be either extremely exhausted or very sick to fall asleep during daylight hours. I even used to get in trouble with my pre-K and K teachers because I wasn't napping.

kukkie - DH has an appointment for a sleep study on the 12th. He thinks he sleeps just fine, but I am awake half the night many nights because he's loud.

Coondocks - I am blessed/cursed with ADHD or I'd never be able to do it all.

Mandy - just focus on the happy and remember that this school time is temporary. I think the costume is adorable and can't wait to see a pic of it with the full makeup, etc.

lili - That is one awesome NSV!

Coondocks - I'm glad you have found something that works for you, it sounds very similar to the way I often eat. My lunch yesterday was chicken breast pieces, a little philadelphia cooking creme, raw sugar snap peas and radish slices, some hummus, a few small cubes of mozzarella, a couple crackers, and a piece of sugar free candy for a treat.

Gym time!

Jess rationalizing :) is better than beating yourself up for sure, great job :high: and those chips sound good. Was the 280 calories for a serving or the bag? and how much sodium? which is always my issue of concern. thanks :)

Thanks Kukkie, great job last evening :high: Enjoy breakfast with your hubby and your day off/long weekend :)

Lili 7lbs lose for the week as I said is GREAT :carrot: and that is the best NSV ever... keep the sodium down, keep the water flowing in and don't worry about the ring being a little hard to take off, it'll be twirling around your finger before you know it :D. Have a great day enjoying the beauty and the sparkles coming from your hand  Oh weekends have always been my hardest times/troublesome spots also, Gale, Jami and I had an accountability thing going to keep each other straight on the weekends but then we just stopped :( but we would try to text one another when we were about to boo boo/have a boo boo/or just to say hope you are having a good OP day.

Gale and Jami miss you Ladies ... we've gotta get that back

Gale where are you???

Thanks Diana ... I have 7lbs to go to see 169 I am so hoping I can fill in one of those goal dates in my signature this month. Gotta get up in the morning do the same thing, they are closed on Sunday so maybe I can get my husband to take a walk with me after church and then Monday I'll have to do something early because Curves is closed for the holiday, maybe Monday will be my day to start C25K again since I think a few people on here are starting on the 10th also. OK I've talked your ear off, sorry. Have a great day Diana

Thanks Ona enjoy Zumba :)

Coondocks, I'm copying your lunch, don't have any snap peas though. I love the you and Jack moments, and the sun waking up is so cute :) We're supposed to have dinner with family (two different sets) and my husband is very particular about his food so instead of me just being able to relax, I will be preparing several dishes to take (but like Vixsin says at least that way I will also know what's in it ;)) I hadn't been to Curves since Monday and hadn't done any exercise until last evening (my walk) so i know it has to be done early. Just hope I can keep it up :crossed; How come something that makes you feel good when you do it be so hard to get started :dizzy:

Roxy good job on the 1lb gone :high: and a NEW low WAY TO GO :high: Have you thought of a round about goal weight? I'm sure you've talked about this and I just don't remember :( I'm the same way with naps. even if I'm tired I need it to be dark. But if I nap too long I stay up half the night and talk my husbands ear off :) Your lunch yesterday sounds delicious, yummy. Enjoy your workout :)

LGW good job on the 212 :) have fun grocery shopping, I like shopping for groceries for me :D

Coondocks - glad things are moving for you! I am having a low key thanksgiving too, Josh is working until 6:30, my aunt is going to her boyfriends and so it'll be me & my grandma! Josh leaves early Wednesday morning, and I get to play bachelorette until Saturday night! As for my boss? She's belittled me in front of customers before, I had to excuse myself from the floor, I was SO SO angry. Josh is being too nice, he talked to Vi, because obviously we can't have employee's sobbing on the floor - and unfortunately she was right in what she said, just not HOW she said it. He says he can't address her tone - makes me wonder how anyone is going to get her.

Kukkie - It was a pizza night with some NHL at our place last night too! We were literally a 5 minute walk from a HUGE celebration, but my pj's were more comfy! I am hesitant to leave my job especially now with my cousin being treated so terribly. When it comes to me, its easy to just leave, but I keep thinking about her doing this to others, and it makes me sick. Why should I give her what she wants, especially when what I want is this job? With my current job I get 4 weeks holiday's a year, 1 paid day for my birthday, and 1 paid day off for my anniversary day. If I leave, I'll never get these things back. And knowing I'll be going back to B.C. in about a year, so why give it all up, I've made it through 26 months, whats another 10!

Diana - that's pretty crazy about your hair! Hopefully my hair will go straight ;) I have ringlet's if I can give it the time to style it - which I don't!

Amanda - I missed my run yesterday and have to skip it today too :( But I will get back to it :)

Jami - she is VERY lucky she's still standing! I am FAR too mature for my own good

Ona - I really enjoy the idea of running, and for the most part it has been easy to stick to, except yesterday. But I figure as long as I get back to it, even if I'm not following the plan day by day, I can make it my own and still make it work :D Interesting changes, and you are being rewarded! I have to agree with the every other day WI's, I find my sleep plays such a big role in what my WI will be, and so I've been getting on the scale even when I barely sleep - and then I immediately regret it! I might join you!

Rennie - I haven't heard of a Genie Bra before! Tell me more!! I had a good day yesterday, I was frustrated with someone in training, she didn't study and therefore didn't pass. The dept manager wants to hire her pretty badly, so she'll be given another day of training before hitting the floor. My boss called me once for a question, she also talked to be twice, she's trying to make nice - I will give her a tiny bit of credit for that. But my wall is up, and yes, that should be my job, not hers. Glad to see you made it to Curves this morning!

Mandy - You are in this for the long haul, and I can tell you from experience that it WILL get better. My bf used to work crazy hours, and the only time I saw him was for breakfast, and when he had to drive me to work. It was really tough, I felt like we were living separate lives, but eventually he stopped working 2 full time jobs (he used to work 12am-8:30am and then 10am - 6:30pm, and then sleep from 7pm - 11pm), and now we get that time. Breathe, and take this time for focus on yourself. It's a great opportunity and know at the end it'll only make you 2 stronger.

Roxy - I don't know about Chaps myself, I would think they would fit a little on the smaller side since it's a division of Ralph Lauren, and when I wore Ralph Lauren clothes in the past they seemed to fit on the smaller side. However, things may have changed :) I can't let this boss win, I am a better person, people know I care, and I'm what this company ultimately stands for, not her. I just need to find a better way of dealing with her :) 156!! :carrot: Congrats on the new low!!

Well I hope that catches me up with everyone! I ended up working late yesterday - 2 hours late, so by the time I ran errands and got home, I had enough time to order dinner, call my grandma to update her on things and then it was time to eat dinner! I got into my pj's around 5:30pm, and stayed in them allll night :D I'll BBL with my WI!

Aimee, I love your positive attitude. You are a much bigger and better person than she will ever be, always keep that in mind. She wants what you have, but can't get it. And she's too ignorant to stop and smell the flowers so keep doing what you do. I am a true believer that when you do as you are supposed to do and others think they are getting the best of you, they have NO clue at all what's in store for them. But you huh ... Your reward will be great My Dear, believe it. I can't describe the Genie bra, sorry you'll have to google it to see what I'm talking about. They have an infomercial and they sell them also on QVC. I used my $5 coupon and went to Bed, Bath and Beyond for mine paid alittle over $15 for 2. I love the fact that it hides the upper roll I have normally at the top of my bra band on both sides. I wish it came all the way down to hide the other 2 sets I have also :D. I told you I would go to Curves this morning and I got my behind up and went, thanks for the push

Good morning (almost afternoon) everyone! Last night was thirsty Thursday, but I stuck to one very large peach margarita at 1/2 price happy hour. (lots o' points) and then when I got back around 11:00PM, I was like, I'm not letting this entire day go down the drain, I'm going running!

So Week 4 Day 1 is DONE!!!

Whoa, that was quite a jump from running three minutes and walking three minutes, to running five, walking 90 seconds, then running three more. BUT, somehow, I just did it. The program is genius btw. I did have to slow down my running quite a bit but speed doesn't matter with this. I imagined the fat melting off me the entire time, like butter liquefying in the sun. It's weird, but it helps me.

I'm going to get my bridesmaid dress altered now, can't wait any longer!

Will do personals later today!

Ok instead of having my OP (Coondocks lunch) I had I Love Teriyaki with my lovely daughter. I didn't eat any rice though, yay ME. I ate steamed cabbage, carrots, and zucchini so lunch calories today 320 and sodium 770.

I imagined the fat melting off me the entire time, like butter liquefying in the sun. It's weird, but it helps me.

Amanda, great job on the C25K run :high: I like the analogy, and whatever works use it :) ... that one makes me want crab legs  Hope you'll take a picture in the dress and share it with us. :)

Ona he said to lay flat on the floor with your feet up like flat to the ceiling? then do crunches? I have a friend that does stand up crunches, she's thin naturally but she says that's how she keeps her belly flat. Her Mom works at Curves, we talk about her all the time, since she is small and always obsessing over her non-existent belly :D

NSVs - The reason I asked about the chaps is that yesterday I was in a pair of them at a size 6 and they fit perfectly! Also, I have lost enough up top that today I went to the gym in a cheap (3/$10) sports bra and it was supportive enough for me to do weight lifting and zumba in it, though I don't know if it will be ok for running, haven't tried that yet.

Rennie - I have no clue about a goal weight anymore. It was 115 because I think I want size 4 jeans, but using the weight I have been at each of the sizes I have gone through DH has changed his mind about the math and thinks I will get to 4 long before 115. Considering the jeans from yesterday, he is probably right. However, I look at myself and I think that I have much more than 20ish pounds to lose, which is what he thinks would get me into 4s, so maybe I don't want a 4, maybe I want a 2. I'm just takin it size by size at this point.

Aimee - You are so strong and I am proud of you with the way you are dealing with the situation.

Ona - You might want to consider adding planks to your ab routine and if you can get a copy of the AB workout (AbRipperX) from P90X, it is awesome!

stayed the same today. 247.6

also. in a moment of anger/stress induced weakness i bought a kit to make a tray of fudge with the full intention of eating it myself. the good news is, it was only 5 bucks. and i made it today... but instead of eating it (okay, i did lick the spoon but i counted the calories for a whole piece) i'm taking it to the potluck/cookout event that goes on here every friday night. now it's not in my kitchen anymore. yay!

Okay! So yesterday didn't do much damage, but I didn't lose either. I forgot to weigh in before breakfast, so I did it right after, and I was 203.2 -- yesterday was 203 so I'll just call it a wash for today. I am so completely wiped out today. I've been working on my work email all day and went from 200 outstanding down to 30, which is great. At lunch I ran to Walmart to pick up a few things and this wave of exhaustion just hit me like a ton of bricks. I don't know where it came from, but it's sticking with me. I came home and popped some vitamin B and took some Omega3 and I'm hoping that will help perk me up again.

Diana - Have a great weekend!

Mandy -- That was a cute outfit; I agree, hair down will be sexier :) You are so good to pass up that fudge, way to go!!

Kukkie -- Enjoy your day off :)

Rennie -- My mood is great, but my energy is zero :tired:

Lili -- Congratulations on the NSV with your ring!

Ona -- Thanks! Hopefully I can drink enough water to whoosh away the rest of the sodium/retention before I start on Thanksgiving tomorrow :D I'm going to eat very light the rest of the day and save all my calories for the festivities. Have a great workout!

Coondocks -- So cute about Jack being proud of the pigs in a blanket you made together!

Roxy -- Good job on your 1lb!!!

Aimee -- I do that a lot, especially as it gets colder -- come home, get into my jammies and spend the rest of the evening that way.

That's great about the sports bra Roxy. Those 3/10 don't work for me.Whenever i jog for a long time,my breast would hurt and for the longest time i didn't know why. Then i started to wear 2 sports bra,for better support but when I tried to do jumping jacks my boobs would could out underneath
The other day, i went and got properly fitted for one, told the lady my problem and all i need was one with under-wire.This morning i was jumping away and everything stayed in :carrot: I forgot about planks. Thanks :) I love planks now cause i remember when i couldn't hold them for a long time.Wow a size 6 that awesome :cp:

Yes,that's what he said Rennie,Wish i had the motivation to do some now.The only thing i can get motivated for right now is to jog/run but my legs hurt so I'm not going tonight.

Rennie -- the vitamins got me through the day, but it won't be a late night. I'm already thinking about going to bed.

Diana -- I'm thinking I will have the stuffing and potatoes, but just a little, I'll try to load up more on turkey and other veggies. Tomorrow will be tougher, my stepmom is cooking and she's not a veggie fan, so sometimes she forgets to make them. I'll put more emphasis on the calories and my plan is to keep it under 2000 for the day.

Ona -- Thanks :) Goodnight

thanks Diana for the vote of confidence  it means a lot to me

Ona I need to try something my abdominal area is just awful looking. Unlike you and Roxy I don't have the extra upper area so my stomach sticks out further than my boobs, not good. Glad you're listening your body

Roxy I think I'm a B but I'm in between a 36-38. The 36 is too tight and the 38B sometimes I don't fill it properly. I know when I was in a 40-42 I couldn't find a B cup so I don't know if there is a 38A size I have never looked. ;)

Angie I hope you get a good nights rest. I'm gonna get up and go to Curves in the morning they open at 8 so I will be there to get in and get out :)

My numbers for today are
calories 1404, carbs 197, protein 64, sodium 2729 according to MFP if I ate like this everyday I would weigh 167.4 in 5 weeks. This cracks me up because it's so not true

Rennie - Thanks for all the nice words, I sure get challenged by this woman, but I need to keep reminding myself that it's teaching me something. So clearly I was meant to learn something from her, as much as I hate it! I looked up the bra, looks like a good idea - but on the subject of bra sizes? I'm far too big for that! 38DD most of the time, I need underwire, side wire, and maybe a corset! ;) Great numbers for today - or they look good to me, except that darn sodium! I have started thinking about this whole "eating clean" thing, when I make my own lunches (which I freeze), I lose a heck of a lot faster than the same amount of calories but in a processed meal. I am looking up comfort foods for the fall too, this weekend I'm going to make chicken stew, Chicken Divan and Corn Chowder, all low calorie :D

Amanda - omg, speaking of the SUN! I'm getting SO tanned from running outside, and it's October! Great job with the running :)

Ona - it's getting predictable! Yesterday I was up, and today I was down, so if I only weigh every second day, I just have to make sure I weight on the lower days ;)

Roxy - thanks :D All these compliments are helping getting me stronger, I really appreciate all the kind words! Jealous of the cheap bra's! I have only ever found one bra that fits me - Lane Bryant. And there are no Lane Bryant's in Canada, so I always have to go to the USA to find them! Luckily I stocked up in Vegas earlier this year :)

Angie - Nothing like pj's and the couch :D It's HOT here, are you guys getting the same heat wave we are? It was 31 degrees on Wednesday! Today it was 21 degrees out when I woke up at 8:30am. So crazy! Did the Vitamin B help? It normally helps me out in the mornings. That reminds me, I should start taking it in the mornings again - its supposed to help with weight loss too!

Diana - I am working on Saturday, but have Sunday and Monday (thanksgiving here in Canada) off ! I'm pretty excited, I can sleep in, do some laundry and COOK! I am pretending I'm single next week - Josh is out of the Province for work from Wednesday morning until Saturday night. What are you up to?

Thanks everyone for all the kind words, feels good to have some people rooting for me! And I have to say, it's whats getting me through all of this! I had a decent day at work today though, the boss was a jerk when I first got there, but when she got back from her break she loosened up and we finally worked as a team to make sure the dept will look good for our visit on Tuesday. It felt good, if only it always stayed that way. I never ever plan to actually let myself like her, but I can respect the way she interacts with me.

As for my WI? Down to 257.9. No wonder my clothes are fitting better!

Holdin steady today, can't complain. BTW I made some amazing muffins yesterday. I used the Hungry Girl diet soda trick. Duncan Hines spice cake mix and Sprite Zero. DH had 2 of them and he's not much of a muffin person. I made 18 of them from one box of mix and about 10 ounces of Sprite, they are only 114 calories each, though at 23 carbs I still limited myself to one.

Good morning everyone!
I was pleasantly surprised at WI this morning, I had a very yummy dijon lime chicken and smashed cauliflower for dinner, but the our family went out for ice cream, which is a weakness of mine :( I am proud of myself though, since I've been losing weight I've learned to make better choices, so instead of that 3 scoop strawberry shortcake sundae I really wanted, I opted for a single scoop of my favorite- mint chocolate chip :) so this morning, I was down to 231.0, another 2 pounds! That makes a total of 9 pounds for the week if it sticks!!! I've never lost so much before, but I've been eating very clean and running almost every day, which I think is why. I think I will keep running more often if I get results like these! Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning, Everyone! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Last night I put a bottle of immediate release 1 mg (lowest dosage) melatonin on my nightstand, in case I wake up too early this morning. I woke up at 5 AM. :( I let one dissolve in my mouth (sublingual) so I could try to go back to sleep. I just woke up! :carrot: At least I was able to sleep a little longer.

Tonight I am making salad, spaghetti w/meatballs and meat sauce, garlic bread, and no pudge brownies for dinner/dessert. I will substitute a pile of spaghetti squash for my spaghetti. :D

The end of the month is DH's Birthday and our fair will be in town. We have a new PF Chang's here. That's where DH wants to go for his birthday. I love going to the fair to watch the concerts and eat! I have 2 splurge days planned at the end of the month. I will try to stay on the straight and narrow until then.

Calories for yesterday: 1440 + :coffee:

Weigh In: 144

Down: 1.4 pounds

Aimee I'm glad you are getting some time off and I hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving. I don't have any particular plans. I try not to do too much on the weekends. We stay so busy and go so hard during the week, that I don't want to do anything on the weekend.

up .4 and ok with that. Had a power outtage before dinner from the insane windstorm and ended up with peanut butter sandwiches and veggies and dip. Anything un cooked lol. Bread and me aren't friends, haven't been for a long long time lol.
TOM is back again which is weird also but it is what it is. At least that's going to make all the turkey day tasty treats seem off putting, maybe a favor in disguise?

We are off to my friends acerage out of town this mornign after i make Jack his pumpin french toast, have a great weekend all!!!

I forgot to mention that I bought the two coats. Last weekend I bought the North Face coat. I was able to use the coupon that I mentioned. :yay: When DH and I looked at them, he thought I needed the XL. I went to the store alone. I sought the assistance of 2 SA. First, I tried on the XL then the L. The SA's said without a doubt the XL was too big. I bought the L. DH and I went back this week for him to see the 2 sizes on me, again. He agreed that the L fit me and the XL was too big. Then I ordered the heavier coat from LL Bean on Monday. I bought the one with the black outer shell and blue inside. The coat came in on Thursday. Their service was excellent. I have never ordered from LL Bean before. The coat is very well made and I am very impressed with it. You can tell by the seams and stitching that they put a lot into it. I think it was a great purchase at $99. I am ready for Winter! ;)

FitGirlyGirl I think the low dosage sublingual (immediate release) is great to keep on the nightstand to take if you wake and cannot go back to sleep. I recently read about others doing this and thought I would try it for the weekends. The melatonin doesn't help me sleep when I have the hot flashes/night sweats. That's why I looked for an alternative for that situation.

Coondocks Sorry about TTOM. Enjoy your Thanksgiving.

It's not right to gain on your birthday, I'm sure there's a rule somewhere that says it doesn't count! I'm up .4 today....I blame the pizza last night...c'est la vie. I just checked and last year at this time I weighed 234.6 I had a nice breakfast in bed, whole wheat toast, turkey bacon and greek yogurt. Actually I was served a bowl of sour cream that my mother mistook for yogurt...lol I had a mouthful and that REALLY woke me up; it's first for me to eat a spoonful of sour cream right out of the bowl.

Rennie -- Have a good workout at curves this morning! My calories from yesterday almost match yours, I was 1409 :)

Diana -- Thanks, I'm going to do my best! I guess this will be my splurge weekend, to some extent anyway, then nothing but on plan until our cruise. I was reflecting that really I only lost 30lbs over the last year, but I'm okay with it. I'm losing, I feel great and if I'm 30lbs lighter on my next bday I will be thrilled to pieces. Do you guys have plans this weekend?

Aimee -- Yes, we have absolutely beautiful weather today! Yes, Vitamin B helped for sure, and I fell asleep at around 9:30 last night, so that didn't hurt either...I think I needed to catch up on sleep a bit. Enjoy your dinner with your Grama :) Congratulations on your great weigh in!!

Lili -- Dijon Lime Chicken??? Yum  do you have a recipe you can share? Nice restraint in the face of ice cream!

Coondocks -- Have a great time at your friend's place!

OK up 1.0 (from 212.6 to 213.6) --- just trying to stay below 215

This has been a busy week -- thinking about where I want to work and live next year -- I had to give a presentation on Friday...

I have to admit that the scale not moving in over a month really did some mental damage, but I am hanging in there...I am at least starting each day off with a plan to stay OP

Thanks for the support guys!! The only thing keeping me focused is logging on here daily...I didn't want to post my gain -- but then realized this thread is keeping me alive -- literally....weight loss is ESSENTIAL to being healthy

LGW :)
