Question When do you do better on your diet?

I have noticed I do better on my diet when I:

1. work
2. cook at home/eat at home
3. am excercising regularly
4. do most my eating before 3 pm and go to bed within 3 hours of dinner
5. ignore whatever my husband is eating
6. include a treat in my day
7. talk to my mom
8. declare that today is my day
9. write about what is bothering me
10. don't watch TV

How about you?

Miss Chris

Definitely the cooking/eating at home part. And I do best when I write down what I eat every day.

When I set myself up to succeed!

Like right now, I just got back from the grocery store. This is what I got:

WW Stuffed Sandwich (veggie & cheese)
2 Lean Cuisine chinese dinners
Kashi TLC (tasty lil crackers) 7 grain
plums, apples, bananas, canned pineapple in its own juice
a red pepper, a green pepper
Kashi blueberry waffles
Frigo lowfat string cheese
yogurts

Ta-da! Now I have food here @ work so when temptation strikes, I can have something yummy & stay On-Plan. Yes, I know the weekend is coming, but that just means next week has been planned for. I'm all set for food @ home, so this works out best for me.

Other things that help me:

Journaling
Exercising
Talking about what's bothering me w/my diet buddy
Trying on clothes that are a size too small
Writing down my food for the day as I eat it
Eating smaller meals more frequently
Drinking my water

I do better when:

1) Chew gum in between meals and while on puter or watching TV
2) Drinks lots of water
3) Home cook meals
4) Exercise more than 30 min a day
5) I STAY OFF THE SCALE AND DON'T WEIGH MYSELF EVERY DAY!!!!!

I do better when I:

~Drink all my water
~Exercise, exercise, exercise!
~Plan my entire day for what I will eat (i.e., I knew when I got up this morning exactly what I would eat & how many points it is).
~Get at least 2 servings of milk or milk products in a day.

When I keep a power bar handy.

It's weird but I've been speeding (literally) home from work or school because I'm hungry and I know as soon as I walk in the door, I'm going to fling open the fridge and go to town. But if I have a power bar in my bag, I'll eat it on the drive home and I can spend an couple of hours walking the dogs, picking up the house and getting dinner ready without SuperMegaHungryWench coming out.

What helps me stay on program is to plan, plan, plan everything, everyday.
