Hi All!
So glad I found you! I have battled with fat my entire life. Some of my earliest memories were of dieting, sit ups and being teased. This continued into my young adult life, where it went from a mere 'weight problem' to obesity.
I spent my life from age 20 to age 33 in various stages of dieting, gaining, dieting, gaining... getting heavier and heavier each time a diet failed me.
At age 33, I managed to lose the weight again, but this time actually turned to bodybuilding to maintain the loss. I even competed at the amateur level on 3 occasions. I never won anything, but what a rush for a former fat girl!!
Anyway, that brings me up to present day. I no longer compete (I decided that the extreme dieting, coupled with the insane amount of training was simply unhealthy and unsustainable for me). I still struggle daily to keep the fat off.
I am hoping that I can get my own support here and at the same time, offer inspiration and support to others who are pursuing the same goals.
