I "re-started" my diet in earnest the first of this month. And had been doing pretty good w/self control over my eating habits. So caught up in getting kiddos back to school, going back to my parttime coaching job after it was closed for 2 weeks, and racking my brain for a unique and "cool" birthday gift for my oldest who turned 17 yesterday. Completely forgetting about a looming biggie that was lurking there for me. The Birthday Cake.
omg.... this gets me. like every time. I can honestly sit there and eat (and eat and eat and EAT) huge pieces of cake with or without my dinner. I'll admit, it was utterly nothing out of the ordinary to get a salad plate, and cut a piece the same size as the plate, and eat it, during dinner. Then of course, for dessert, a regular sized piece.
Well, last night, guess what??!??!! I only had a LITTLE ITTY BITTY piece! I did NOT have my plate sized, and my dessert portion, I did NOT get up this morning, head to the kitchen and have another piece, in fact, Im just getting ready to have lunch and thought, Im NOT going to ruin all ive done in the last few weeks with one chocolate oreo cake because it does NOT control me!

) And for added will power, i thought I'd post about it, cuz if I post and boast, I sure as heck can't go in there and eat a huge chunk now, can I?
Also, I wanna say, since the 4th, Ive lost 4lbs!!!!
