Cute snowman sher!!!!!!!! To bad one of these days the little sucker will be a mud puddle! I hope your feeling better!!!! Could it be to much exercising affecting your hernia???? BTW: Check your email.
So, I know some clubs have things that you need to do to show that you are worthy of becoming a member....I have heard of riding a goat before, but never a donkey!!!! Dee, I laughed and laughed when I read your story!!!! I could just see you on top of your poor mother in-law!!!! Now she will live out the rest of her day's as the "gecko Mama" that peed her pants!
Maybe lisa & Jeanne need to ride "the donkey" to become official members????
I hope everyone has a great weekend lined out, looks like most of you are getting the winter weather. It's to be in the high 50's here on Saturday which is really warm for this time of year.

But I've already ridden a donkey..... Got any other ideas?? LOL
Well I didn't think I'd be able to post this weekend because of the GREAT TILING PROJECT, but here I am, 1:00 am on Saturday morning (really, Friday night) I wanted to paint the powder room (that's what I'm calling it now that it's painted) and Jimmy said "ah **** I don't care" so I bought a gallon of Parisian Violet DutchBoy paint. See what I can accomplish when he's got 3 Budwiser's in him??? LOL because he didn't want anything to do with painting. We just finished the painting, really it didn't take that long, Jimmy rolled and then I went behind him with a plastic bag (WalMart bags work best) and dabbed some of the paint off so it looks like it was rag rolled on. It's gorgeous!!! It's a deep Mauvie-Rose color. The light grey tiles will look wonderful. Thats my next step tomorrow. Laying the tile. Then Sunday, I'll grout and watch the Super Bowl. GO RAIDERS. Once that is all done, Jimmy and his friend will be able to put in the fixtures and I'll have me a real honest to goodness powder room.
It was awful cold here again today. Currently it's 8'. I don't know what that makes it with the wind chill, but it is snowing and actually that's a good thing. We need the snow as insulation, there's been a lot of broken water pipes and water mains and all that good stuff around here. Thank goodness we have a finished basement so we don't have to worry about that stuff.
Hope everyone's weekend is going well I'll try to check back in tomorrow night.
Lisa

Lisa,
Your powder room must be quite lovely. I'm sure the color is beautiful, and you will enjoy having a space all your own. We have three bathrooms and I use one just for my personal things. I have really enjoyed having it, but things may soon change. There could be a move in my near future, and it will be a drastic one. More later......

Ramona - you sure have a knack for keeping us all in suspense! I hope that even though it's going to be a "drastic" move, it's for good reasons.

Wow, it sounds like you guys are all freezing out there. I feel a little guilty here in southern California. I think we are expecting temps. in the 70's today...
So what's this about riding a donkey??? I guess I must have missed something but I'll be more than happy to prove my worthiness as a Floozy.
Dee--loved your story about the gecko. My son would have gone nuts...he loves reptiles. We used to have two lizards as pets (Izzy and Dizzy).
Lisa, your powder room sounds like it is going to be gorgeous. Congrats on keeping the dh on track! I'm glad to see there is another Raiders' fan here, woo hoo, it should be a good game.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Hi fellow Floozies!!!
Lisa: the powder room sound's soooooo pretty! Sounds like we must be married to the same guy..... put a beer in front of him and you can lead him anywhere!
Jeanne: In Dee's Gecko Mama story she wrote that she rode a donkey in a bar. Just thought I would tease her a bit. We like you and Lisa, so we will just let you join without having to show your worthiness with a donkey ride.
Ramona: PLEASE let us know!!!! You are such a pistol, keeping us in suspense!!! I hope it will be a good move on your part.
Busy today, cleaning house, laundry and shopping!!!!!

Brrr it is so cold here. We can't even go out without getting frost bite. Today my Mom took me out to the casino for my birthday. Every year she gives us kids $100 to put through in the slots and what ever comes out we cannot put back in. That is to be used to buy what every we want for our birthday gift. Out of the $100 I got back $51.00. Not a very good return, but we sure did have fun. Mom put her $100 in and she got $49.00 back. I think that is the worst return we have ever had. After that Larry,Mom and Dad and I went out for dinner. We ended up having a wonderful day. After we got home Larry watched the super bowl and I pondered over the newsletters and magazines I picked up in puerta vallarta. Gee I wish I was back there. Larry's step mom Viv(Gecko Mama)will be going back feb 4 for 2 more weeks. Well that's ok I guess, because I am working on Larry for a month for next year. I guess I better practice being a really good girl...wink wink nudge nudge. Gee it sure is hard to type with my peke on my lap. He is such a brat, he got his haircut yesterday and won't get off our laps. He is shivering when it is convenient. That is when we are looking at him, when we look away he stops shivering. What a brat. Well I think that I will round up that donkey so I can ride him back in the bar..........
Adios

I'm sure he is just fine, but with a swaeter maybe he will think you guys are humoring him. You gift from your mother sounds like a really neat tradition!!! How's your mom doing?
We had my Mother in-laws birthday party today. I ate CAKE & ICE CREAM!!! Oh yaa....... 2 sloppy joes, green beans with bacon seasoning, potato chips........tonight......LONG JOHN SILVERS!!!! As I lick the grease from my lips........... Not a good day for healthy eating!!!!!

Good morning Floozies! I hope you all had a great weekend. It is still so cold here, I just can't seem to get warm. I had a very lazy weekend. I had plenty to do, I just didn't want to do it!
OK, here is the deal. As most of you know, I am a small business owner. And, like most small business owners, I owe the bank a LOT of money. That is just the way it is these days. Well, my husband and I are so weary from going to bed and getting up every morning with this enourmous debt hanging over our heads. So, we have been tossing around the idea of selling our house to pay off the bank. We own our house outright, so we could be 100% debt free. We would then move into my family's lake house which is about 15 minutes from town. Now, here is the kicker to all of this. I would be leaving a 3 bedroom, 3 bath, formal living room, family room, dining room for a 3 room cabin. I really don't have a big problem with it since it is just the 2 of us. However, I would have to sell most of my furniture and put a lot of things into storage. The cabin is already completely furnished. It has 2 bedrooms and a one room that is the kitchen, dining, and living all in one. There is a huge glassed in porch that goes around two sides and looks out onto the lake which I know I would enjoy. It would just be such a huge change. It is also quite isolated, which worries me a bit. So, if you were in my shoes, what would you do? I would miss my house, but we don't do any entertaining anyway, and it would sure be nice to say so long to my banker. Any input on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Love,
Ramona

Ramona: I say GO FOR IT!!!!!! Just think, you could be completely dept free!!!!! The cabin sounds charming, you will still not be that far away from work, plus it might be just what you and your hubby needs to reduce some of the stress in your life. Your home now sounds so pretty, but as you said, you really do not utilize all of the space. I wish you the very best with your decision!!!!!

Gayle in these wicked temps Amigo needs a sweater. Even with the coat of fur he had before we shaved him. He has a cute lumberjack sweater. He is just a suck that's all.
Ramona that is a pretty big decision to make. If you do decide to move out to the lake and don't like it you could always move back into town. It would be nice being debt free, alot less stress. The point you pose about being isolated are you concerned about it because you might be lonely or is it because if it is storm or an emergency arises? I think if it was me I would move out to the lake and enjoy the tranquility of the water and the quiet of being out of town. I would go for it and if you don't like it go back and get a loan and buy another house for less. Even if you stay out at the lake for a few years you should be able to get back on your feet then and see what you want to do from there.
It is still really cold here. I sure hope it warms up soon. We had snow over night and I tried to con Larry into to staying home and being my royal shoveler as I walked he could shovel the snow out of the way so I wouldn't have to trudge through all the snow. lol
Hope you all have a warm happy day.
DEE

Ramona- I agree with the others. Go for it!! Sounds like it would be a very tranquil place to live. It might be awhile before you are able to sell your house, anyway. So you could slowly start downsizing all your stuff.

Oh ladies, I have had a huge burden lifted from my shoulders! I have been worrying myself sick over what the insurance company was going to do with ds totaled vehicle. Everyone said we would end up having to pay around 6000 dollars to pay it off. Well, the adjuster just called and they are going to pay it all!!!!! We are even getting back about $300 because we didn't get a rental vehicle! Oh!!!! I am just giddy. I feel like dancing and I don't even know how to dance!!!!! LOLOL
OK, I'll shut up know. I just wanted to share some good news for a change!
Love ya'll,
Ramona
