Default TGIF (oh yeah!)

Not much new here. I get Saturday off of babysitting, so I am going to visit my parents and then going to the Bruins game.

Yay!

Default guess who?

it's me! sorry to be MIA for so long. i've been snowed under at work and haven't had time to post. managed to lurk a little but i'm feeling very out of the loop so fill me in! tell me all your news (especially the good stuff, like who's lost weight, anyone else got to goal yet?).
i noticed a lot of us have been struggling with little gains or plateauing or giving up on ww. in case this helps motivate you, i thought i'd tell you what i've been up to.
i've been really enjoying working out lately and the other day i made up my own goals: the three fs! basically, i want to get fitter, firmer and more flexible. i told a friend this and he said "and therefore more f*ckable". anyhow. i'm managing to eat healthily and stick to my points (with the odd blip when i'm out socialising, but i can't forget another f - fun!). the good thing is that i can feel the difference already, both in my hip bones (i like to hold them at night when i'm lying in bed and feel how i'm doing, i never used to have them, so it's still exciting for me!) and in how healthy i feel. i think one of the things that has motivated me to work on my fs is because of a tv show i saw the other week. it was called "whatever happened to slimmer of the year?". apparently 60-70% of people manage to lose weight, but 99% put it all back on. i am determined to be in that 1% who succeed. anyone care to join me?

Happy Friday!

I hope everyone is doing great today! My cold is a lot better but DH is a lot worse. I had a great OP day yesterday. I even managed to bank some points. I stilll haven't been exercising though. That is my goal for February-get moving! It is still bloody cold here which is a huge obstacle to getting moving. Hopefully some warmer weather will move in soon.

Kirsty thanks for the motivationg words. What types of exercise have you been doing?

Lori, have fun this weekend. Did hear about the fiasco my team had last night? I couldn't even watchthe whole game b/c it was so awful! I'm not sure what the final score was. Last time I flipped on that channel it was7-1 for Phoenix!!!! Argh!

Hey to everyone else out there! Come out & post.

Default exercise

well, since you asked rina - this is what i've been doing!
mon+wed evenings: aqua aerobics
tues + thurs mornings: legs, bums and tums classes followed by 10-15 minute run
wed + sat lunchtime: CV and weights at the gym
sun: yoga at lunchtime, swimming in the evening
i also try to do some straight swimming before/after my aqua aerobics class (just a few lengths).
i know it might sound like a lot, but to be honest - i don't make every class all the time. i aim for a minimum of 2 and see how i go from there. lately i've been doing quite well. although i was out drinking with friends wed night so no aqua aerobics and the sore head the next day meant i couldn't face legs, bums and tums! but i did do a gym sesh this morning to make up for it! i might try squeezing in a wed morning yoga class or following a yoga tape at home at some point during the week. i really feel yoga is good for making you fitter, firmer and more flexible!!
hope you both (lori and rina) have lovely weekends. the same applies to anyone that posts!!
kirsty
ps hope me going on about exercise isn't too dull!

Wow where is everyone today?

Kirsty, sounds like you've got lots of variety. that's what I need to keep me interested. Unfortunately the budget is a bit too snug at the moment so I'm on my own which is really hard for me. I have a Pilates video that I like but nothing really for cardio. Plus its way too cold to go outside and do anything. I'm hoping it warms up soon.

Kirsty: Yeah I know, it is a struggle and I want to be in that 1% too... I have gone back to the gym, am eating healthy and I will start back at WW. Yeah I can feel my hipbones too and I love it!!! I just gotta work on my tum, she's a bit more smushy as of late. I am still fitting itnom my clothes, some are just tighter.

Lori: Enjoy your weekend!

Rina: yeah I think this weather makes us lazy... All I want to do is hibernate.

Anyhoo, I have a date tomorrow night (third to be precise) and he seems like an awesome guy.

Take care!
