I glad I'm hanging out at the 247 range still. Hopefully I'll make it to at least 245 by months end. I got some new supplements that will hopefully help me with that, as well as some other things.

I'm copying my original post from part 1 of the thread.

My weigh in day is Wednesday. I'll see how this goes, but those of you in the July thread know I hate this daily weigh in. I LIKE WEDNESDAY! lol If I don't post my weight every day, please forgive me this failing! I love the people in this thread and will stay, even if I weigh only on Wednesday.

Good luck to all in August. This month is a big challenge month for me. Family wedding on the 13th - out of town, so there are several days where things aren't as easy as when you're home. And vacation at the end of the month. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I had a planned higher calorie day. Now, I know why I was thinking about food more than normal. TTOM is starting. I should have been suspicious. DH and I shared a piece of marble cheese cake for dinner. I don't know why these restaurants have to have such large servings. It is ridiculous! Delicious, but ridiculous! I estimated the calories based on what I have seen before, but I could still be off. But that's ok, since I planned it. I may not think that tomorrow, though. :dizzy:

Angie Thank you for the compliment. I might try to change my avatar if I can remember how to do it. Getting away to a cottage sounds very nice and relaxing. I'm glad you enjoyed the weekend. Thanks for the new thread!

Not much to report on the homefront today. Mediocre day yesterday, and no change this morning. Better than up! Here's looking down tomorrow morning. Hope you all are having the loveliest of evenings!

Diana - You look great!

Mandy - Oh, the pool sounds fantastic right now. It was so hot here in Oklahoma today, I thought I was going to melt! Haha. Maybe I will make swimming my exercise tomorrow. Sounds like you had fun! I wish you all the best with the sobering process. ;)

StarGetsFit - My body is having a random week like that, too...lol. Congrats on your random drop!

Court - Congrats on the nice loss!

JamiSue - I've been hearing a LOT about this book and subsequent movie this week. Definitely has my interest piqued! Also, congrats on the controlled pizza...you did very well! Enjoy your no exercise day!

Kwigg - This place has been my rock for accountability. Without a doubt! Love the people and threads like this one in particular.

LGW - Outstanding job with the cafe! All that matters are the choices you make now, not the ones used to make. Each day will only make you stronger. :high:

Lin - I'll try to forget about those little cake ball things...they sound delicious! Haha. I'm glad you had such a wonderful time with your family. Moments in time like those will be cherished for years to come. :)

Angie - Thanks for posting the new thread!

OK. I stayed OP today. I went to the grocery store and brought kale, asparagus and of course brocolli. I baked enough chicken wings for the week and I have some chicken breast marinating in the refridgerator for tomorrow.
I'm off to a good week.

We have a breakfast planned for Thurs to end this hectic schedule and I already have my order in my head "I'll have a veggie omelet with 2 eggs, extra veggies and a side of grits. Make that a decaf coffee - no cream."

I'm ready!!!

Hey
Something is off, very off :( Up 2lbs this morning, putting me above goal ! I have no idea whats going on, but have been quite sick over the past month. It began with an infection in my navel, went on to be strep throat and mouth ulcers resulting in a course of antibiotics , which then resulted in terrible thrush. I have put on weight since coming off holiday and don't know the cause, but am wondering if the antibiotics could cause a false gain? I'm sure it's not real weight.
But, just to be sure, I'm going to regain my focus by resetting my goal to the place I wanted to reset it to, so for the forseeable future my new goal will be 145. I will go back to basics and work on the last 9lbs . I will not let my families desires to see me gain back all the weight become a possiblity.
So todays weigh in 154.6 :( (Very depressed about this, but beig sad does not get the job done, only action and focus can do that)

Good Morning, Everyone!

Calories for yesterday: 1865 + :coffee:
planned higher calories

Weigh In: 145 (I think TTOM has started)

Up: 1.6 pounds (I didn't have enough calories for a gain, so it could be the carbs/sugar, pending TTOM, or the fact that I went too bed to late. I am betting that it's a combo of all 3 )

Well, 172.6 today - that's down .2 since Friday. I guess the cake balls didn't do too much damage. And while I'm not unhappy, I thought the way I ate coupled with how much I moved around all weekend might have showed a better loss than this. That's how it goes, though. OP with meals, water, and exercise, but got very little sleep the whole week while DD was home and bordered on sleep deprivation from Friday to this morning. I hate whining, so I'll stop now.

Have a great day, everyone. Diana - love the new avatar. I also liked the blue striped tank top in the last (I think last) photo. Thanks for posting pics of Magnum.

I am mysteriously up a pound to 168.8. There is nothing to cause it and it is very annoying. It makes me want to throw in the towel. Instead, I am going to put the towel in my gym bag, tend to the cats, get my breakfast, and go work out.

Yes!!!! Down 1.5 this morning to 201.2. I'm off to a great start this week and not because the scale went down. I've got my wheat cereal, my oatmeal-to-go bar (hoping this works out better than normal oatmeal... you know texture issues and all ), my massive salad for lunch with new bolthouse dressing that some of you ladies suggested, and carrot sticks as an afternoon snack. If I feel the need for more, I'll run down to the fresh market in the underground shopping centre and grab a banana, but I think I'll be okay. Since dinner is also half made at home and hubs is not getting home until 9:30, I should also have no issues getting in a workout this evening.

Honestly, enough is enough. I'm sick of staying OP early in the week and losing, stalling in the middle of the week and gaining at the end. Something's gotta give and it's going to be me giving this weight the finger... Oh that was kind of vulgar, sorry! I'm just fed up and going to make a serious change. I can't sit around moping and expecting things to happen! So marching onwards!

Morning Everybody  Hope everyone had a good weekend.

WI today @177.2 :D

:wave:Angie, glad you had a nice time. thanks for the new thread.:)

Love your new avatar Diana :) thanks for the pictures.

Jami, give em **** in that challenge :sumo: you're going to do great.I'm so excited for you. Here,Blue cross@ Blue Shield is having sort of an Olympics style event(for my age range)w/different games. They have tennis as an event and I'd love to play.I'm going to call today and see the requirements, will they assign me a partner?will we have time to practice :?: etc..

StarGetFit,your "rock Me like a hurricane" post had me singing :D

Sending out an APB for Rennie..

Yeah Roxy, what Diana said.No doubt you'll get rid of that.you're burning that fat up.It can't stay.I've had so many fluctuations lately(getting frustrated, starting to get upset..again..) and something hit me(after my big drop today;))I've been on this Journey a long time.I should know that as long as i eat healthy and exercise that the weight WILL eventually come off.But it's still hard to grasp that concept though.Shoot.. after all this time..I might never grasp it until I'm done :D..but I'm gonna try cause it's no need for me to stress about a pound or oz gained when i know I'm sweating my butt off and eating healthy :dunno:

Good Morning All,

Another great weekend! Dinner at my house went great! We were all up way too late! Saturday was spent with those same friends and we all went to a gorge and had dinner together and watched a movie, etc. Not nearly enough water this weekend resulted in destroying all of the water I took off all of last week. :( I am focused and on plan. My eating was great all weekend long. Although I do think I was a bit low on calories at times. I won't be hanging with my friend for the next few weeks as he and his boys are going on vacation with his friends next week and then the following week school starts. The week after that is my friend's wedding that he's supposed to be my +1 at.

I am staying strong through all of this with my eating. I am not over-indulging. I am trying to get some sort of movement in even if it's just cleaning or dancing. I feel that as things calm down as summer winds down, my body will settle down too. I'm not hyper-focused on my number, it's how I'm feeling and the choices that I am making. I'm learning, so it's definitely a hesitant confidence. I DO need to work on the water. That's a BIG BIG focus for today, for sure!

Hope everyone is doing well. Will check back at lunch when I can catch up.

BTW, Diana: love the new pic!

Thanks for the thread, Angie. And HOLY NEW PIC, Lady!!! Looking good!!!! WOW! :high:

I'm still here, still reading and celebrating all of your successes and rooting for you in your difficult moments!

I had a binge-free weekend!! I had 1 higher calorie day, but was still within weight loss range, and the higher calories weren't due to a binge. This is the first weekend in recent memory that I was binge free and I just wanted to share with someone! :D :carrot:

13: 251.8 (-0.4)
14: 252.2 (+0.4)
15: 253.8 (+1.6) TOTAL LOST 5.9

Well...humph! LOL. Definitely not stressing about this number because I was perfectly OP all weekend (which included a BBQ, baseball game and dinner out with my DH)! A true success for me! I think TOM's just trying to mess with me as he's due in just a couple days now.

The BBQ Saturday was with my co-workers and I had a really great time! The food was delish and the conversation was fun. The we headed to a baseball game with my parents. Oddly enough, it was Star Wars night (not sure what that has to do with baseball) and Storm Troopers, Darth Vader, and Obiwan were spotted on the grounds. Our team (Sacramento Rivercats) lost the game but gave a good run towards the end which kept things interesting. However, the best time of the evening was the fireworks show! The fireworks were set off to the Star Wars music theme and were simply fantastic! The best I've seen in years even over 4th of July celebrations. SO MUCH FUN! I wish I would have taken some pictures but I was so awe struck...I never pulled my camera out. Oh well... :)

Tonight's my first group training session for the gym challenge. I tell ya, this challenge will give me even more motivation to stay OP over the weekend becuase Monday is our official WI day...yikes! ;) And we have to WI at 6pm no less! These are not my favorite people right now. :D

Lindy -- Yikes is right. I hate it when I see those numbers! Good job for getting back on that scale and facing the music! You CAN turn it back around!

Lin -- NICE JOB!! Current score: Family gathering - 0, Lin - 1. Woo hoo!

Diana -- Looking good. You sure make maintenance look easy! :) I can't believe you've been in maintenance for nearly four months now!?!? AMAZING!

LGW -- You are doing great!

Hahah, whoops! Fixed it. Can you imagine?

Yea, no biggy. I just gained 90lbs overnight...is that a problem?

Starbrite -- I googled it a quickly read a few articles which seem to imply that prolonged antibiotic regimends can lead to weight gain but yes...the research also seems to imply that it isn't "real" weight. Sorry your sad but TOTALLY understand. You've got the best plan in place to refocus. Don't let those idiots (sorry...I know they're your family) get to you!

Kukkie -- Woo hoo! You go girl and give that weight the finger! LOL!

OnaMi -- I will! And you too! I hope you're able to compete because that event sounds fun!'

Gale -- :bravo: for your no binge weekend! I am so proud to you!

 Hi, everyone. I've been pretty much a slug all morning and feeling a little sad because DD was here for a week and she left this AM. I've been reading posts I missed all weekend while at my niece's wedding. I'm noticing something in all the posts. This thread and others. We are an incredibly busy bunch. Lots of normal summer activities that fill the days and involve the 3 F's - family, friends, food. We're also less likely to get enough sleep (I probably averaged less than 5 hours per night for the last 8 days, with even less while doing wedding stuff.) I've also noticed it's been harder (for me, anyway) to shed the pounds that were coming off like magic earlier.

This is what has come to me. This last month for me has been more like maintenance than "dieting." I'm OP most of the time. Exercise is good. Water - not to good. Sleep - really not so good. And if we can all do as well as we have been under "summer mode" living, I think we are WAY ahead of the game!

The people who post in this particular thread are all fantastic examples of what to do if you want to lose weight and maintain a healthy life style. You are all my heroes and are the examples that I try to follow every day. We have fun with our friends and families. We are making the best choices we can at (almost) every meal. We are checking ourselves every time we slip. WE ARE SUPPORTING EACH OTHER. We are perfect examples of how to do this the healthy way. Lots of different methods - lots of great results.

We need to be proud of ourselves and really celebrate even the tiny successes (like coming back from vacation and jumping back in with both feet) along with the huge ones (maintaining for months after a long losing battle.) "Losing Battle" sounds like an oxymoron, doesn't it?

Here's to all of us. :celebrate: Summer is full of great fresh fruits and veggies which make it easier to eat correctly. But it's also filled with BBQ's, pool parties, road trips, and fried dough. And we're still collectively winning the losing battle. Woo Hoo! :carrot: :broc:

Mandy Hope you feel better soon! It's probably a result of all that smoke you've been dealing with.

Gale :cp::cp::cp::cp: Good job, lady!

OnaMi You are now at my dream weight, 177. Congrats! And I'm glad I had you singing this morning!;)

Starbrite It's The Antibiotics!!! Antibiotic DO cause weight gain. The kill the good bacteria too and then the yeast in your body gets out of hand. Eat yogurt and cranberries! Yeast (the kind living in your body) can make you retain water and gain weight in the abdomen. Overabundance of yeast in your body can also make you crave sugar and alcohol, knock your thyroid out of wack, and cause pms-like symptoms. Get some probiotics, eat lots of gralic, avoid sugar and wheat, also oil of oregano is supposed to help. And the yogurt and cranberry. Also exercise can help clear out the toxic bi-products of yeast over-growth.

Umm, that's all. Will stop vomiting information now.:p

 to Everyone else. I'm off to get a massage and facial!

Down 0.2 to 235.4 this morning. Didn't get in much water yesterday, so going to make a point of that today!

LGW - You are definitely ready! Congrats with the 20 lb loss so far!

Starbrite - You're still doing a wonderful job, and I'm positive it's you being sick that has your body acting unusual. I wouldn't worry about your family's negativity getting the best of you...you have experience and all of us! You know how to do this, because you've already done it! I'm sure you will hit your new goal in no time. Also, great collarbones in your new avatar! ;)

Beck - Congrats on the loss!

FitGirly and Kukkie - That's the spirit, ladies...go get 'em! :lifter:

Vixsin - I'm loving the positive attitude everyone is having this morning! Also, you're doing awesome. I'll be right there with you getting that water in today...that's my main focus for the day, too.

CutieCourt - Same to you! Vixsin and I are right there in the water zone with you, haha.

Gale - Congrats on your BINGE-FREE weekend! :yay:

JamiSue - Hahah, yeah...no biggy at all, just call an ambulance, please! ;) Also, that baseball game sounds like it was awesome. I'm not even what one would really consider a Star Wars fan, and even I would have loved to have seen that! The theme music + fireworks must have been epic. My best friend and her husband live in Sacramento, and he's particularly obsessed...I wonder if he even knew about it. Hmm, I have a phone call to make, lol.

Mandy - Ouch! I hope you feel better soon, hun.

Lin - Love your last post! You have articulated what I feel gives so much strength to this thread in particular. The people here inspire me each day, and this is why I know this weight loss journey will be no problem, as long as we just stick to it.

StarGetsFit - Nice loss, congrats! Things like that are worth a little :woohoo: now and then, lol.

Are you ready for a rant?

I am so pi$$ed with myself. As you all know by now, I have some type of stupid allergy. I have been doing really well. My mouth inside/out hasn't been this healed since this thing has started. I have been avoiding all nuts, tree nuts, legumes, and coconut. (personally I'm thinking it's a legume allergy - peanuts, green beans, snow peas, beans, etc) I have been going through this thing for so long and the food that I am eliminating has changed so much that sometimes I literally have to sit there for a minute to try to keep straight what I am eliminating. Anyways, we went to dinner tonight. I ordered my food, and DH ordered the special. In fact, I told him to order the special because I thought it would be something he would like. I always take a little bite of his food. His food is very different than what I would order. This gives me a chance to a "taste" of something different and satisfies me. So I take a little bite of his meat and potato. As I am swallowing I hear him say "Diana, that has nuts in it". Crap! He had almond encrusted pork chops and mashed sweet potatoes with a pecan topping.

I don't know if I am allergic to these nuts or not. It may just be a legume allergy. It may just be that I have a crazy body and it does whatever it wants whenever it wants. :dunno: Anyways, I am just so frustrated with myself. If I have an allergic reaction I can't take an antihistamine because I have an appointment next week with the allergist for more skin testing. We'll see how tomorrow goes since my reactions don't normally show up immediately. If I have a reaction, I will deal with it, but it could have been avoided.

Anyways, rant over!

Thanks Lin, I was just getting to the end LOL ;) so here is this mornings post from the part one thread :D

Good Morning Everyone

First let me thank Ona and Jami for checking on me ... I appreciate it. I haven't read any of the thread yet and so if there are others that may have asked about me on the thread, thank you in advance

We went out of town for a reunion and found out that one of my cousins whom I had never met had passed. He died of throat cancer that had spread through his body. He was 47.

I also got to spend time with my Auntie that I use to stay with as a child. We all had a ball. The food was delicious. I ate everything that I had not had in months and plenty of it. I wouldn't change a thing about what I ate. :D

Here are my stats from Wednesday up to today:
10 ~ 176.4 (-0.4) TTOM
11 ~ 178.2 (+1.8) TTOM
12 ~ OOT/no weigh in
13 ~ OOT/no weigh in
14 ~ OOT/no weigh in
15 ~ 184.0 (+5.8)

I am up 6.8lbs for the month. I can't say this is all sodium though I know it is a great contributor. I know it's a ton of bad (but really tasty) eating. I'm back to good eating today and I will hopefully get some exercise in. I am pooped. I slept like a log last night and with the way I'm feeling right now I will definitely take a nap today. I bought a Smart Health Pedometer Heart Rate Watch while I was in NC. And The Denise Austin bio trainer Weight Loss System that I had ordered was in the mail when we got back so I need to set that up. Something has to help. Well I've got a ton of reading to do all the way back to page 27, whew.

BBL Have a great day everyone

THIS IS GONNA BE A LONG LONG POST SO JUST KEEP READING IT'S DAY BY DAY :D

from 8/10

StarGetsFit good job on the .8 down. :)

from 8/11

Diana look at how tiny you are  good job on the .2 down :)

Hey Kukkie sorry your day started out of crazy, hope it got better  Kukkie thanks for mentioning the apple (remember this is from the 11th) I'm gonna have an apple for snack :)

LGW well it sounds like you have a plan to get things moving in the right direction again, Go for it :)

MadameZ Good job on getting to halfway to GOAL that's great :)

Vixsin good job on the .8 down and Congratulations on defeating the snack urge. :)

Ona good job on the .4 down. Girrrrrrl you be in the 160's before I catch up with you. You go Girl  that getting up and down is the part I hate about 30DS drives me crazy :dizzy: But you did it :high: Thanks for checking on me, I do appreciate you and your friendship  On your comment to Lin I don't let anything anyone says get to me. I learned a long time ago not to dwell on what people say. I respond with how I feel (my opinion) because I figure if you (they) put it out there (on the thread) they want a comment, other wise they would do like Vixsin and say don't want/need your comments :D Which I respect. I still count calories by reading labels (you have too) but unless you are logging it somewhere there is no way to keep every number in your head. I use an online tracker versus using the written journal that I use to keep on the counter and I also still measure ;) Also you can't just go with what's online you have to know that what you are clicking on is correct because it is entered by people like us who don't always enter things correctly. :D

Roxy good job on the .8 down :) well I know I lost Mr Focus over the a last 3 days but I'm looking for him. I'm sure he'll come back soon ;)

Vicki good job getting to 230 :) Glad your Mother in law is doing better.

Jami wow Lady another 1.5lbs gone, good for you :high: You are doing great at the gym, keep it up you'll be at 5 intervals soon :) LOL now I just hope to check an exercise box ;)

Mandy sorry about the allergies. Hope the fires are contained and put out soon  Enjoy you day with DH and your Dad :)

Hi eclipse

ophelia good to see you :) good job on the 2.6lbs gone :)

Lin love your analogies ... I'm glad I just decided to enjoy my families cooking over the weekend knowing that I would get back on track today ;)

Matilda the weigh training may be the contributor to your gain, it'll level out. you're doing great :)

Hi ilbnej

Angie You look great  Sorry about the hives, hope they have cleared up and you figure out what caused them. :hug:Everybody took pictures this weekend and I look terrible. I can't stand the way I look in any of them. My cousin's husband said he was gonna post them on FB. I'm not friends with him on there but I did tell him I would prefer not to have my pictures posted. So we'll see if any of them are tagged to me.

from 8/12

Diana good job on the .4 down

Angie sorry about the gain today, but I know it will be gone in know time  glad the hives are gone and hope you figure out what caused them  Hope you had a great weekend :)

Lin have a great time :)

Kukkie you do have a busy weekend but you're always busy :D Enjoy

Matilda good job on the 1.2lbs gone :)

LGW how did the no coffee trial go?

Roxy good job on the .6 down :)

Cutie good job on the 2lbs gone :) Hope you get the camper cleaned out :)

Ona good job on the .4 down :) I know you enjoyed your exercising today and it is paying off :high:

Vixsin good job on the pound down :)

ophelia Good job on getting back on the bandwagon :) You are making me want to go back to my green font. I use to use t when I first started and one lady said it was hard on here eyes so I stopped :)

Jami I need your help you go girl :high: another 1.8lbs gone :woohoo: (as of today 8/12) you are down 5.1lbs way to go Lady :) Please keep me posted on any new things you learn, thanks. Enjoy Pizza Night :D :congrat: on the 40lbs GONE ... 50 she's coming for you :) FYI Ms Jami on the treadmill every minute does turn into a hour that's why I hate it. I'd love to get that tread climber but that's not gonna happen

eclipse good job on the .8 down :)

Roxy you and Ona are workout guru's for sure, work it out Ladies :high:

starbrite glad you got that Mommy Daughter time in nothing like it :). I can't believe they called you selfish. Hope you don't mind me asking but Are they over weight? If so then it's a jealousy thing. You did it on your own and in a healthy fashion and they want it too but don't have the will power. Brush it off girlfriend. You deserve all the props you get  Love the new avatar BTW :)

Diana I agree with what you said to starbrite. That is exactly why I look the way I do not and have to work so hard to get back to where I was last year. Have I continued to do what I was doing last year when I started working I would surely be at goal now, but I let it go to my head and slacked off ... what a stupid thing for me to do :nono:

LGW I'm with you on feeling lighter. I've made better choices of food today and I feel lighter also so it's a great funny feeling. I'll take it any day ;)

from 8/13

starbrite what I said. There is always gonna be some opinionated person with a comment just because something isn't done their way. Glad you know what works and have a good head on your shoulders. You have to think highly of yourself most times in this world just to maintain some sanity because the haters will do what they can to get in your head to tear you down (if you allow it) Great NSV ... work that dress Lady :)

LGW hope you got a some rest

Hi Diana  Diana we know how some people are every time they see you they have a comment and it is embedded into their head so it's the same comment each time. :) Starbrite just stay strong

Roxy good job on the .2 down :) Roxy how long did it take you to build up to the 5 minutes. I can't stay on ours for long at all. I've often complained that the resistance on it is just to tight/hard even on level 1.

Mandy sorry about the smoke allergies  Your day sounds quiet interesting. The comment about the non dairy creamer is too funny  Hope your hubby is feeling better  Good job on the .5 down :) Wow what a day you've had, hope you're good in the morning

MeliZ good to see you. Good job on the pound down :) yes slow and steady wins :)

ophelia good job on the scale being down :)

Diana Magnum was a great looking pup. I love the tye dyed top. You really look good and look at you in your spaghetti strap tops. I can't wait to wear those and feel confident :)

Hi eclipse

StarGetsFit good job on the 1.6lbs gone :)

Hi Kukkie add up those workout calories and when I have tons of water on less calorie intake days I have a small gain also, I think the water just stays there. Any other time I'd pee all night ;)

Hi ilbnej

Cutie good job on the 1.2llbs gone :)

Jami good job on the .4 down :)

kwigg get a piece of paper and pen and keep it near the scale, log it quickly. I don't have to write it down every day but some mornings I am out of it and lay back down and when I do I don't remember when I get up again because I weigh again (too many numbers) :D

from 8/14

LGW good luck on finding veggies that you like. I like spinach but prefer it raw in a salad. Zucchini and yellow squash I can eat daily. Broccoli I love it steamed (must be crunchy)

.... to be continued

I'M NOT FINISHED BUT IT'S STORMING AND BEFORE I LOSE EVERYTHING I FIGURED I'D BETTER POST IT

Rennie I read your post. It sounds like you enjoyed the time you spent with your family at the reunion. That's very important. You will probably lose some water weight over the next couple of days. Get right back on track.

still on 8/14

LGW again I hope you find more veggies that you like and glad you are getting things all sorted out  Keep amazing them with your ability to stay OP. What a victory and a great NSV staying away from FREE goodies :) YOU GO GIRL! Way to go, 2.4lbs gone

Jami 2:35am wow Lady oh that's 11:35pm your time hehehe

starbrite 4:06am it was 10:06am here ... I like knowing the time differences :) silly I know ;)

Diana good job on the .6 down :)

Roxy good job on the .2 down :) I would think you BMI would be down now also. Hope you can get it checked some kind of way soon. My scale gives a BMI reading according to height, weight and age. I haven't looked at it in awhile though. I agree with what you said to Mandy about stringing them together. (that's what I did 3.5 days of good eats and a 2lb gain per day for me :D ) I can't wait until my weekends start to look like my week days, whenever my week days start to look like they should ;) Sorry to hear about your Dads dog

Kukkie the water weight is definitely a scale killer, sorry about the up but your whoosh has got to be coming

Hi ilbnej

MeliZ good for you on the calorie intake and dinner out :high: Packing is a great workout, lots of up and down, bending and lifting, make for great scale numbers :)

Hi StarGetsFit

Lin yes Family is very important, I sure enjoyed spending time with mine this weekend. Glad you had a great time. :)

Hi eclipse

Angie I've decided on a lower calorie day today since I know the weekend was I'm sure a bunch of 3000 calorie days. Hope it helps us both

LOL Lin yes I was alone until puneri posted there also :D

puneri :yay: for the new yoga pants and the size 12 :high:

Ok done on Part 1 thread ... I knew it was to good to be true, thought I was almost finished

Oh my goodness Rennie, I can't help but want to laugh and hug you all at the same time. The fact that you would go back and respond to each and everyone of us from the days you were away, makes me feel supported. Thank you for being you, and I truly hope that one day we'll have the opportunity to meet, so that I can give you that hug in person, for now  And don't you worry, I'm not gonna let you keep going up, glad you enjoyed your weekend, but time to get right back on track!

Diana I'm sorry about your dinner incident and will keep my fingers crossed that you do not have a reaction!

My own update for the evening, unfortunately didn't get to the workout this evening. I have a VERY early morning conference call and have to be up at the crack of dawn, so I'm going to bed early, like now. So I had to choose between getting all of my lunch ready for tomorrow or working out :( I don't like having to choose, but since we all know the food part is more important, that's what I chose. Working out this evening would have meant nothing to me if I had to buy not-as-healthy-as-they-could-be foods tomorrow! Good night ladies!

Ladies I hope you are enjoying my books LOL ;)

kwigg it rained off and on in NC and it has been doing the same here in VA last night and today. One of the boys said yay the sun is out, I said it's raining he said uh uh look, I said you look :D He said, how can that be, kids ;). It was beautiful outside and raining hard at the same time.

StarGetsFit I'm sure you'll get to 245 by months end :high:

Jami ahhh relaxing day, I'm sure it was great. :)

Hi Lindy missing a few days there ;)

Lin AF only last two days for you? How lucky is that???

Diana you have a lovely smile and you always look so happy :)

ophelia no change is much better than an up

Hi Arctic

LGW great weigh in 2.4lbs gone :)

on to today :yay: I'm caught up

LGW yes you are off to a great OP week, way to go :high: I like your breakfast plan :) :congrat: Great job on the 20lbs GONE

 starbrite you got this

Beck good job on the .6 down :)

Diana it probably is a combo of all, so it'll be gone in no time  Diana out of habit we do things and some habits are hard to break like tasting your husbands food. So don't beat yourself up  I truly hope you don't have an allergic reaction to the small tasting of his food  Diana I can't even begin to tell you how much I enjoyed myself. I have wanted to move to Durham since I can remember and if I have my way we will make that move :D

Lin good job on the .2 down, sorry it wasn't more. You're not whining at all, just doing what we do here, keeps us sane and OP

Roxy I love it ----> makes me want to throw in the towel. Instead, I am going to put the towel in my gym bag, tend to the cats, get my breakfast, and go work out. Do that thing girl, show that pound who's boss

Kukkie good job on the 1.5lbs Gone :) Hope you like the oatmeal bar. I have an issue with granola bars (those pieces it leaves behind) let me know how you like the oatmeal bar please. Keep on marching lady

Ona good job on the 177 yay you :high: I know you love tennis hope you get to show them what you're made of :) Thanks for thinking of me, I'm here  Ona maybe when I start doing like you and being totally accountable and OP I'll stop complaining and stressing . Actually I don't stress but I complain a ton ;) Good for you on staying FOCUSED. I know that when I finally do it will pay off

Hi Vixsin glad you had a great weekend, and love your outlook on things :)

MadameZ going in the right direction good job on the .1 down :)

Cutie good luck with your water intake today, you can do it :)

Gale :congrat: on A BINGE FREE WEEKEND, I knew you could do it  I ate all of the food you didn't plus some :)

Jami change your 8 to a 3, :) Lots of excitement for you and more to come. I'm happy for you.

Matilda me too  we can use that :dust: to get back on track

Mandy hope you're back to normal soon  Will the meds help at all with the reaction to the smoke?

Lin I love it ----> We need to be proud of ourselves and really celebrate even the tiny successes (like coming back from vacation and jumping back in with both feet) along with the huge ones (maintaining for months after a long losing battle.) And we're still collectively winning the losing battle. Woo Hoo! Thanks so appropriate for me right now  Lin on your comment to Mandy that's the Mother in you

StarGetsFit Good job on the pound gone :) whatever works chant away :D I'm jealous, I have never had a message or a facial. My friends and I keep talking about it but have yet to do it. Enjoy

ophelia good job on the .2 down :)

eclipse I think I have waved at you a few days now, maybe it's time for you to shake things up a little???? don't ask me how, just a thought  You've done and are doing wonderfully :)

Thanks Kukkie  Not to sound funny but I feel like we are a family and we understand one another more than some of the people that see us everyday. I missed talking with you, I was upset when the internet at the hotel was acting up and trying to do anything on this Android phone is a pain in the behind. Ask Jami it takes me forever to respond to a text  I watch my daughter type on that thing like Speedy Gonzales but I can only use one finger and still hit the wrong thing. I miss my BB. I hope we all get to meet also. I had a pretty good day today, no exercise though other than periodic cleaning. I had a horribly lazy day. So unlike me, but back to the full me tomorrow :) I would have chose making the food again also, have a great night, rest well

Ok I am definitely all caught up. Missed you all this weekend and talked about you quite often. I did not plan to eat healthy this weekend I planned to enjoy myself and that is exactly what I did. Bets were in that I would be 8-10lbs heavier this morning and NOPE ... yay me. I did have the kids finish the cake and homemade biscuits that I purchased while down there. I ended today with 1339 in calories sodium and carbs are excellent today and I got 103.6oz of water today, which is much better than I did during the weekend. Hoping for something down on the scale tomorrow.

Has anyone heard from Coondocks? She has really been heavy on my mind. Coondocks missing you

Aimee are you still on vacation? Missing you too

for anyone that wants to keep in contact via email or text I am willing.

 Rennie! I'm at the tail end of AF. Fingers crossed that I see a drop soon. A lot of it is just that I don't have a lot to lose, and I'm holding off on dropping my calories anymore until I completely stall out. Because I don't wanna eat any less, and I'm being a baby about it !

Angie

Down .4 to 206.6 today so no damage done at the cottage -- still waiting for my whoosh! I'm on track for calories, but ate more carbs than I like to normally and both lunch and dinner were restaurant food. We'll see how that works out tomorrow.

Bah -- I was working away on personals and then I crashed and lost it all!

Let me sum it up like this...for those who lost, good job!! For those who gained or stalled, jump back into your plan (or stick to your plan like glue) and work it hard. :) And...for anyone who needs it, here is a big hug  :p

rennie, you are too cute :)

and lin, i'm going a little nuts here so i wish you (or someone!) could do something too.

the meds i'm taking (a z-pack to get rid of the infection, the flonase to open up my sinuses, and the cough syrup with codeine for the coughing and sore throat from the post-nasal drip) usually help a lot when i've got a severe sinus infection. i get them on a fairly regular basis during allergy season.

if all else fails, i'll be moving away from the majority of the smoke in a week when we haul it down to south carolina... the smoke plume goes all the way from the fire on the VA/NC border up to baltimore, MD... so i hope it doesn't go all the way down to columbia, SC!

OMG! So....tired....I....can....barely....type. LOL! My first workout today was....TUFF! I can honestly say that I haven't done anything that hard since I was in highschool getting conditioned for basketball (15+ years ago). Wow! About 45 minutes into it, I was breathing hard and my face was red and I was trying to catch my breath and then....my throat clenched up. I've don't have asthma and have never had anything close to an asthma attack...until now. I felt like I was trying to breath through a coffee straw and I started wheezing and my face got cold and I started getting tunnel vision. I started panicking and raised my hand for the trainer. She was very nice and sat down in front of me at eye level helping me to pace my breathing so I wouldn't pass out. LOL! I felt like such a loser! Everyone in our group (there are 10 of us) plus the trainer were very supportive and a few folks in the group had experienced something similar so I didn't feel like a completely out of shape slob! The trainer asked me to sit out the last set so I could continue to regulate my breathing.

ANYWAY...I feel like I'm trying to walk around on wet noodles and my limbs aren't quite listening to brain (i.e., they don't really move when or how I tell them to) but other than that I'm good. LOL! Trying to decide if I can make it to the gym tomorrow morning but I guess it all depends on whether or not I can haul my rear end out of bed in the morning. I have a feeling that gravity and I are going to have issues tomorrow. :D

Matilda --

Mandy -- Sorry about the infection and extra sorry about the meds. Being on strong meds like is NO FUN!

Lin -- HERE HERE! It is amazing sometimes what we can accomplish in the midst of all these gatherings and food. Thanks for reminding us of how great we're all doing in the face of challenging situations.

Star -- YAHOO! 'Bout time your body got the message, huh? LOL!

Ophelia -- Too funny that you have such good friends in my area. Yay, I'm definitely not a Star Wars fan but the fireworks were simply incredible.

Diana -- I'm SO sorry about those sneaking nuts! I REALLY hope you don't have a reaction.

Rennie -- No problem for checking on you. I completely forgot you were OOT so I got worried! LOL. I'm SO sorry about the gain. It sounds like you had a great time and that's important too. Tomorrow's a new day and you CAN get back OP and ruin those pounds that came. They're only with you for a short visit...I'm sure of it! And OMG...where in the heck did that silly 8 come from? Trying to scare me, I think! LOL.

Hopefully I didn't miss anyone. I am seriously so tired I can hardly think straight. And my chest is actually a bit sore from the lil' attack I had at the gym. Kind of achy and sore right in the middle and my throat is tender too. So freaky...but really glad I had so much support with me. One day soon I'll be able to manage all 60 minutes...

Jamisue: that happened to me a few months ago when I went hiking! It was all uphill, 900ft elevation...I now know what a wheeze is :)

love2be: thanks sooooo much for the support! sorry about your cousin, but I'm glad you were able to spend time with family. The NO coffee trial went well, I have actually been doing decaf since than...still didn't affect the weight...I think it's just the schedule, which I have 1 more week of...so I'm just going to wait it out :)

Anige: I am waiting on my whoosh too, but I think it's going to be next week...at least you are going down!!! ;)

Kukkie: great choice! I'm getting ready to prep my B/L/D for tomorrow as well

Diana: sorry about the allergies...the hardest part is finding out what you are allergic too, which it sounds like you know already :(

linjber:

koonfyoozed: hope you feel better soon....hang in there....

Getting ready to prep my B/L/D for tomorrow -- another 28 -- only one more to go after tomorrow night, which is this Saturday. I will not have this schedule again until December. I really hope to have a whoosh next week, as I am sticking to the plan. I want to cut out soda and do water; however, now that I've cut the coffee...I just may need the DEW :)

EMBARASSING :( I just looked at a photo from 2009 and I did not realize that I was that big! To think, when I put that outfit on that morning I actually said OUTLOUD to someone "I think I lost weight" -- WOW -- it's actually funny that I remember saying that! There must be a reason I can not figure out how to put that pic in the post :)

Star - Thanks for the tips about the antibiotics. My feeling is that they have messed up my delicate system ! I umped and ahhed about whether to take them, but I was so sick on holiday and really needed to get rid of the infection. I still feel really under the weather, and am considering going to the doctors, but clearly don't want any more antibiotics :dizzy:

Good Morning, Everyone!

I went to bed early last night and slept well. I'm so glad about that. The scale is up this morning. It could be from TTOM trying to start and not from a reaction from dinner. I'll see how the day goes.

Calories for yesterday: 1440 + :coffee2:

Weigh In: 146.2 (TTOM)

Good morning everyone. I've come to the realization that I will never to personals the way some of you manage to do them. Such dedication! I'm thinking that I might just be the friend who is always there but usually fails to individually recognize what everyone is doing. You could call my "real life" friends to confirm this . . .

I was the same again this AM - 172.6. I have slowed down considerably in recent weeks, and I'm frustrated. Before anyone tells me to just hang in there, I know that's what I have to do. For the first time since January, though, this process has gotten "real." I'm not sure if i can clear that up. I started losing at the rate of about 3 pounds a week for 10 weeks and then slowed down to about 2.5 for 20 weeks. It was pretty easy, actually. It didn't seem like I had done much to accomplish it. But now it's in the fractions and seems harder. More like I'm actually having to work hard at it. But I still had a whoosh recently, so I should be OK with this. I guess that's what I meant in my post a day or so ago when I said I felt like I was more in a maintenance mode right now. That's probably not a bad thing, either, for a while. I have a long "staycation" of sorts coming up, though, and know I need to at least stay even for those 10 days or I'll be upset with myself.

Stop. Stop right now. You are doing fine. You've done well since January. Take the advice you give to others and apply it to yourself.

OK - I'm done talking to myself. Hope everyone has a great day.

And I'm confused as to what "AF" is. Rennie said it to me, and in the very next post, Eclipse used it. Help!

Diana - hope the nuts didn't do any damage.

Mandy - I don't have allergies but know how miserable it is to get "smoked up" even just sitting around a campfire sometimes, so I hope and pray it gets better soon.

JamieSue - take care of yourself.

LGW - if you don't mind my asking - what do you do that requires 28 hour shifts? Nurse? Doctor? Fireman? (Firefighter? LOL)

To all of you - I love being in this boat with all of you - thanks for the support and friendship. Have a wonderful Tuesday.

Lin

Good morning ladies *singsong voice* I don't know why I'm so chipper this morning because I've been up since 4:45 for my early morning conference call with Singapore. I stayed the same this morning, but I'm okay with that because I was POP yesterday, and my WI was earlier than usual this morning and (TMI alert) before any sort of movement. So it's all good.

Rennie I surprised myself with the oatmeal bar, I actually didn't mind it at all. It's not my favourite thing in the world, but definitely better than eating oatmeal itself. I have the Maple and Brown Sugar flavour and it was a bit sweet so I'm thinking it's a good way to satisfy me when I have a sweet tooth, but I'll need a cup of tea to go with it

Morning Everyone

up 1 lb to 178.2 Oh.well..flucate on then

Rennie,I've said it before and i must say it again..You are the Queen of personals :) that was so nice of you to go back an support everyone  bless your heart :) glad you had a nice time.May your Cousin rest in peace  you're back, will get back focused and that's that.Thank you :)

Jami, hope you feel ok this morning.you're a trooper and glad everyone helped you.It was/still is hard for me too but everyday it gets better and better.

Angie,hope things aren't too bad w/the cottage.Thank God y'all had just left.

You're doing great Lin,for me,i just had to accept were I am now, that i won't lose a lot of weight each month any more cause I'm so close to where my body wants to settle and make that mental shift..Knowing that i won't lose more than 5 lbs a month now,no matter how hard i push myself.

I had/have to consider do i want to (can i sustain my new lifestyle) eat less than I'm already eating? do i/can i work any harder? No!! I've pushed/still pushing as hard as i can. I'm just settling into eating healthy for life cause that's what it's all about anyway and finding new ways to challenge myself and if i lose any weight after all that then fine. When i stall out completely then that's that.:)

My reward for taking my butt to the gym instead of the taking my mouth for doughnuts or fried pies? Today I am down 1.4.:carrot::carrot::carrot: My zumba buddies are all having lunch at a Mexican place and I'm not sure if I want to go or not. I have been there and the food is yummy, but I can't think of a single truly food plan friendly thing on their menu.

Ona - I am starting to get the grasp of that, but I still have to talk myself through it sometimes when the scale goes up by a pound or more. It helps me to come here and say that I want to go off plan out of frustration, but I'm not going to and to tell y'all what I'm going to do instead of whatever off plan nonsense I'm wanting. Maybe it makes me feel as if I've made the commitment to the group, not just myself, I dunno, but it definitely helps.

Vixsin - I was having trouble getting all of my water in for a while so I set up system for myself. I found myself drinking too many diet sodas instead of water, so what I did was tell myself that I was not allowed to have the diet soda until I had a certain amount of water. I allowed a diet soda with lunch if I had half my day's water in and another with dinner if I had already made my water goal for the day. Maybe something similar could help you get your water in?

Gale - That is awesome! Congrats on having a successful weekend. :woohoo: I have finally gotten them pretty well under control, but weekends were the hardest part for me to tame as well.

Jami - I am lovin that you are in this challenge thing. It sounds awesome. I know you are going to do well. It sounds like your first workout was wonderfully horrible! You lived through it though, and that means you can live through the next and the next and... You go!

Mandy - I'm sorry about the sinus infection, but now that you know and have meds it will hopefully be gone soon.

Lin - I love your post yesterday. You're right, this thread is full of really awesome losers (including those currently in maintenance). Being part of this group is very helpful to me. I'm sad for you missing your DD, but I'm glad you had a great week with her and that your niece's wedding went so well (even if you've made me want to have these cake ball things). As for the way you are feeling today, I am having the same issues. It was so easy for me in the beginning and I never really understood the people who said it was hard. I believed them and felt bad for them, but I didn't really get it. Since about February or so it has been hard and slow for me and now I get it. I try to focus not just on the scale or even my tape measure. I try to also focus on the new things I can do, I set lots of workout related goals. Right now I am working on being able to do 10 double burpees in a row, 50 push-ups, and unassisted pull-ups. Also, AF = 'Aunt Flow', same as TOM.

StarGetsFit - I beg to differ! I think every pound is something to :woohoo: about! Congrats on making your body listen.

Diana - :crossed: that is is a legume thing and almonds and pecans don't count!

Rennie - I'm glad to see you back. Sometimes going off plan is beneficial to us, mentally if not physically. The important thing is making sure you don't stay off plan. You are back on track and since you have no regrets, you won't be beating yourself up over it which is never helpful. The elliptical probably took me 2 weeks to be able to handle the thing for even 5 minutes, and that was with giving it a shot every single day and sometimes twice a day. After that initial 5 minutes the minutes became easier to add. And I must say that you are an awesome awesome threadmate for going back and trying to hit everything you missed while you were away. more

Good Morning All!

Good news! I got all of my water in yesterday and then some!!! I was very proud of that! I also got a workout in yesterday! :cheer2: I hopped on the treadmill for 10 mins of walking and 10 mins of jogging. It felt good!!! I actually was feeling sore a couple of hours later. I also got about 30 mins of dancing in last night.

I was only down .4 this morning. Im confident that I'm holding onto some major water. I'm really sore today. I'm going to try some of Bob Harper's strength training tonight.

I'm taking a break from doing my food journal electronically. I am needing to go back to old school right now and I've gone back to writing it down. That has really helped my mood today and helped to keep me focused. I have my whole day planned out and I feel SUPER confident!!

Thanks to you all for the continued amazing support!!!

I'll check back later.

Rox: thanks for the tip about the water. For me, if I don't fill my water bottle as soon as I get up and get started, I don't get enough. As long as I get things going in the morning, I usually get enough through the day. I was too busy living this weekend to remember my water.

Ona: You're doing great! So dedicated!!! I love it!

Kukkie: I love the perky today!!! That made me smile.

LGW: I love your post today! I needed that reminder as well. My losses have also slowed. I am learning to cut myself some slack too. We can do it together! :high:

hey guys.... i've been thinkin about this for a while, and i think i'm going to take a week's vacation away from the stress of losing weight.

between my ankle injury, my sinus infection, all the meds i'm taking, and getting ready to move... it's just an added stressor that i feel like i don't need to try to handle. i'm not gonna go crazy, but i won't be counting everything that passes through my lips, and i will get back on track counting religiously once i get to SC and settled. i'm not worried about a small gain. even 7 pounds of honeymoon gain only took 2 weeks to shed.

i'll still check in, but i'll be staying away from my scale.

Good Morning

Jami, my friend HUGE  to ya, you could never be a failure, YOU are and will be a SUCCESS. You are doing this thing. Hope you rested well and feel a better this morning

Thanks LGW since I have been on my journey this time around the caffeine makes me tired. I didn't notice it until last month so I had started doing the decaf thing then. You are doing great I'm sure when your schedule calms down (less busy/more rest) you will have a few great whooshes :) Huh the pictures that I have taken that I actually thought I looked half way descent in, uh uh uh ... somebody should have told me the truth :D Good job on the .8 down :)

Mandy I like the taste Pepsi Max but takes me days to drink one. ;) I'm not big on soda at all like I use to be, guess that's a good thing :) Mandy enjoy your break,

Thanks starbrite, May we/I call you Sam? It's a shame what antibiotics do to a woman's body :(. Don't put off going to the doctor if you feel you need to go back, you don't want to make matters worse. Get your yogurt though

Diana hope your day goes well. Sorry about the gain

Lin AF is Aunt Flow (TOM) I thought that's what you were talking about, sorry. I have lots of time on my hands so it's easy for me to sit and do personals. Most of you work (I think). The kids don't go back to school until after Labor Day and my volunteer time doesn't really kick in until October. I'm sure someone on here will be able to help you through this stage on your journey. I feel like I'm stuck also but unlike you I haven't been doing like I'm supposed to ... hope you get it all figured out soon

Kukkie not TMI at all :) I have a TMI for ya' since eating all of the crap I ate in NC, I have had a BM everyday. I usually only do that when TOM is here. ok done :D What brand was it? Going to Walmart later so I will look for it. Nothing beats a failure but a try and a healthy try, gotta try it ;)

Thanks Ona I did good yesterday eating wise, but no exercise. Hope to do a little better today ... as you ALL have said one day at a time, slow and steady wins the race. Hopefully I can get close to my Thanksgiving goal of 150. I have two more family gatherings and a cookout with an old friend next weekend so we shall see. :)

Thanks Roxy good job on the 1.4lbs gone :) I'm gonna try my elliptical everyday starting today (hopefully) and let you know how I'm doing. I hope to be able to stay on for at least 2-3 minutes :)

Vixsin good job on the .4 down, your water intake and exercise yesterday :high: I enjoyed journaling when I was doing it, now I'm just lazy :) ... and I also don't plan anymore. ;) Have a great day!

Matilda good job on the .8 down :)

OK now me I am down 3.6lbs to 180.4. Like Kukkie I weighed in much earlier than normal at 4:20am but like I told someone yesterday I keep a log in the bathroom. I got up and weighed again at 8:35 and weighed 179.2 so I on my way down to where I was thank goodness.

I'm gonna eat lunch and then hopefully exercise. See you all later

Thanks Vixsin and guess what I have the most fabulous news that I shouldn't share until tomorrow, but I'm just so excited and you were my biggest supporter when I made this decision, soooo tomorrow marks my 11 month smoke-free quit date, which should kinda of depress me, because that 11 months means I could have been at goal by now, but I'm not depressed because I'm just too damn happy with myself. This is the longest I've ever gone, I am so impressed with myself  Now to apply the same commitment to weight loss!

Rennie  i'm glad to hear you've been so regular! Oatmeal-to-Go bar is Quaker - High Fibre. Let me know what you end up getting!

I had an intense moment of I need to do this now, grabbed my ipod and jumped on the elliptical and pumped out 30 very intense minutes (okay, maybe the last 5 minutes weren't so intense, but still..) , programmed to run up and down a mega hill. I feel amazing! Had a great OP day too! Protein shake, shower, ironing then bed. See ya ladies on the flip side (morning ).

LOL thanks Kukkie ;) ... thanks to not being able to sign onto the site most of the day I am just reading your post so I'll have to pick them up tomorrow. :congrat: on your 11th Month Anniversary of being smoke free. That's wonderful, I'm proud of you and very happy for you. Good night Kukkie, rest well

StarGetsFit  this to shall pass :)

Thanks Diana, what's going on with your mouth? I think I missed something. Is it your lips/nut allergy? I'm sorry you are having a reaction hope it passes soon

Oh I didn't get to post my elliptical victory. It's not half as great as Jami, Roxy or Kukkie but I did it. :)

Thanks Jami for helping me with the weight/calorie part. I feel like I did a little something :D

Roxy I got on and stayed on for 5:29 minutes, I put in 5 minutes and it is 61 calories burned (my goodness it's hard).

I also hit the treadmill right after 37 minutes and 303 calories burned.

Angie

I stayed the same today ... still at 206.6. I've been eating cheesey popcorn in the evenings which I know is not helping. I'm doing great calorie wise, but I think this sodium is not helping a whole bunch.

I definitely am feeling a lot of stress from work lately and I can feel myself letting that creep in and affect some eating decisions. I had pizza (spinach) on the way home last night because I was feeling sorry for myself for having had a long day and then missing a train and having to wait a long time for the next one...so I just bought the pizza on impulse. It's good to recognize it as the emotional eating it is I guess and try to move past it. Overall I'm still in my calorie range, but not on plan for content (ie/ protein vs carbs...sodium...fat, etc)

Jami -- Your experience at the gym sounds scary!!! Maybe you can visit the doctor to get a puffer in case you need it in future?

LGW -- Good point, I'm not gaining...even if today I'm the same, I'll take it. The whoosh will be appreciated whenever it decides to show up :) Do you like crystal lite or anything like that? Something to have to dress up the water a bit, but avoid the soda? Congrats on the .8 today.

Starbrite -- Sam :) (I like using your real name!) Good job on getting back to your goal weight!

Diana -- Glad you had a good solid sleep. Stupid TTOM! Sorry to hear your mouth is worse :(

Lin -- You made me laugh. In real life I'm the friend who never picks up her messages and returns calls. I can relate to feeling in maintenance mode. I didn't have the same pace for success that you did, but I had a faster beginning than I am having now. I find I settle into a weight range now...spend a little time there, and then gradually move on again. It is frustrating a bit, but I'm trying not to put timelines on this process now -- I'm losing...okay sometimes I'm not losing, but I'm not gaining overall..and eventually I always start losing again. If it takes me another year to lose these last 40-50 pounds, okay then that's how long it takes. In the meantime I'm developing great relationships here, I'm learning a lot about my body and my mind and I'm enjoying the journey (sorry, it was a cliche I had to use.) :) Thanks for joining this boat...I find your comments insightful and quirky (fun).

Kukkie -- You were up awfully early! I'm assuming if you were that chipper that you didn't forget your coffee this morning. :) Congratulations on 11 smoke free months, that's fantastic! You rock!

Ona  I think that's a great perspective, just keep doing what you're doing...eating healthy food, getting lots of exercise...and let the pounds fall where they may.

Roxy -- Congratulations on the great decision to exercise rather than eat crappy food, and on the 1.4 loss!! I know you've been

Vixsin --

Rennie -- What on earth had you up at 4:20 am??? Good job on the BIG WHOOSH! Welcome back from vacation, I missed you!

(My AM post) -- So, I'm estimating that I burned about 1,200 calories yesterday through exercise alone. That number seems crazy to me! LOL! Even still, I'm actually surprised that I showed a loss this morning since I ate later than usual. I had a protein bar right after my workout - to prevent myself from passing out. LOL. But was still ravenous when I got home and chugged about 32oz of water and ate a scrambled egg sandwich. I finally felt that the beast was satisfied at that point and then I fell into a DEEP coma in my bed! ;) Luckily I did indeed wake up this morning with the alarm and I was feeling suprisingly good...just a bit sore in my thighs, calves, and shoulders - not too sore though. But my limbs are definitely tired. They seem hesitant, like they're afraid of what I might ask them to do today. HA! I keep trying to tell them to relax...that they won't be tortured again until Wed but I'm not sure they believe me. :D

(My PM post) -- Great day but I got more sore the longer I sat at my desk. Totally stiff! Yikes. I'm trying to stretch it all out (gently) so I can hopefully still move tomorrow. LOL!

LGW -- Nice loss this morning missy! A few others in the class mentioned that the breathing issue happened to them too. I was relieved to know it was fairly normal with over exertion...not good but normal. :) Best of luck with your next 28h! I'm so happy this will be your last one for a few months! What a relief.

Starbrite -- So happy your back down to goal this morning. It seems a recurring theme that when we've had about as much as we can stand with the gaining...it stops. A few people on here have recently lost after a frustrated rant (including me). :D

Lin -- AF is Aunt Flow. :) I like your self talk!

OnaMi - Thank you! It was tough but I survived. 1 Session down...11 more to go! I will be successful!

Roxy -- Big YAY for the 1.4!! I'm glad you're already thinking ahead about the Zumba lunch. Seems little counterproductive to me. Thanks so much for the props! I knew that you, the burpee and P90X queen, would appreciate my "tough workout" story! ;)

Vixsin -- Yay for confidence in our plans! I think that's the best thing about having a plan...that's it's yours and looks like whatever you want it to look like!

Mandy -- I'm glad you're still planning to stick around, otherwise we'd miss you. :getwell:

Matilda -- Woo hoo!!

Rennie -- YAY for the AMAZING loss this morning! And thanks for the support...I do feel MUCH better today. I even made it to the gym for my lil' routine this morning. My limbs are listening to my brain better but they are a bit tired still...not too sore though which is good...just tired! I'm always there for you! And I know you are for me too. Thanks Ms. Rennie!

Kukkie -- CONGRATULATIONS on your anniversary! That's such an amazing accomplishment! You should be SO proud! What a GREAT day! Good for you!

Star -- Sorry about the bounce. I've been there sister! Take care of yourself and keep working your plan!

Diana -- I'm SO sorry about your mouth. Take care my friend!

Angie -- That might not be a bad idea. It's at least worth mentioning.

I wrote AFS on my month long original post for "Away From Scale" for the 2 days I was out of town! LOL. I'll have to come up with something else to indicate I didn't weigh in!

Good morning all. I'm down from 172.6 yesterday to 171.6 today. Down from 172.8 last Wed (WI day) to 171.6, so that's 1.2 pounds for the week. Not what I wanted, but with the slow down I'm having, I guess it's pretty good. I have to get it in my head that any loss is a good loss, and holding steady is the ultimate plan. (I'm just not ready to hold at this weight quite yet!)

I was out with friends at another of our great Tuesday free concerts last night. Walking back to our cars someone walking near me said, "Hey, I know you. We had babies together in 1982!" Turns out it was someone with some sort of super ability to recall faces - we were in the same childbirth class 29 years ago and she remembered me. I remembered her after she said it, but for a million dollars would not have been able to pick her out of a crowd. I guess I don't look any different than I did when I was 8 months pregnant! LOL. But it was 29 years ago. Thank you Miss Clairol!

I hope everyone has a great day!

And today I am up a pound to 168.4. At least this time I have a reason for it: 3,498mg of sodium yesterday. My DH LOVES smoked porkchops and we hadn't had any in forever so I decided we'd have some last night. I ate half of one. Now I have this pound of sodium induced water weight. Whatever! I am on the lemon today and going to drown myself in water.

Rennie - :woohoo: Congrats on over 5 minutes on the elliptical!

Angie - I think it is definitely good that you recognize what is going on. I'm sorry you have so much stress right now.

Jami - Yep, I love nothin better than some good for you torture, lol! My BFF laughs at me whenever I do something new and I'm all sore and still wanting to do it again, he thinks I'm insane. I'm glad you were still able to move yesterday. I hope today is not too bad.

Lin - NWI seems pretty common for No Weigh In. That is awesome about the woman recognizing you after 29 years.

LGW - I don't like Pepsi either, but I do like Pepsi Max, so while you might not want to risk getting it instead of your dew, you might want to give it a taste sometime. I'm the same with coke and coke zero. I just don't like cola much at all, and I will still take a diet dew over either of them, but pepsi max and coke zero are good, way better, imo, than the regular versions and definitely better than the 'diet' version.

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Morning Everyone

Down the pound of sodium,Back to 177.2..well,the start of 4 straight days of gym work :sumo:..sigh..Power Pump today:dizzy: this month, the instructor's routine is tough:dizzy:..but i didn't die last week so I should do a little better this week.

Lin,you know what that means? you look like you're 29 ;) Fantastic! you're losing something, in a a great place mentally about food now and look like you're 29 :)..

:wave:Angie, love your prospective too and the ability to recognize different triggers and handling them.I'd call those growing pains(as in.. learning as we grow in knowledge about food, why(how) it effects us)you've came a long way :) Hope things settle down soon

Roxy, hope your DH enjoyed the pork chops :) Turkey bacon got me yesterday but the thing is.. i know i had that for breakfast and was suppose to control my sodium for the rest of the day but..still a work in progress.

Diana, glad you had a good nights rest.:) great job on the pound :cp:

Jami, hope those muscles feel a little better today.Your AM post was too funny :D.hang tough, go at your own pace and only do what feels comfortable. My first Spinning class was a killer, i could hardly walk out of class :o now you can't keep me out of class :D

LGW  you're handling your work hours and eating plan brilliantly :bravo:

'Morning ladies... I chugged almost a litre of water post-elliptical last night before bed, and didn't get nearly enough sleep. The result? I'm up to 202.5 again, but I'm okay with that, had a workout, was OP, am armed for today as well. Bring it on!

Also, big thank you for all the congrats, I'm super duper excited about it and so glad I could share it with all of you :grouphug:

Roxy love the "drown myself in water" comment. I'm right there with ya!

Lin pretty crazy that she recognized you! Great job on your 1.2.

Diana nice loss! Happy to hear you're resting well :) How are you feeling today? Is the mouth still bothering you?

LGW glad to hear you're going to get a power nap! Rest well friend

Sam (starbrite) you're doing great and will have no problems getting to your new goal.

Jami oh my, sorry to hear about your episode at the gym and glad you're feeling better. I'm even more excited to hear that you're enjoying the torture, I know I used to LOVE working with my trainer way back when.

Angie was definitely up early, and I think I'm feeling the effects of that today, especially since I didn't sleep well. But I've been armed with caffeine, so it's bearable. I'm sorry that you missed the train, I take it you were downtown yesterday? Are you flushing the sodium with lots of water?

Rennie good for you for staying on more than 5 minutes! Honestly, sometimes I get so bored on that thing, it feels so mundane, but it has to get done. Last night, I had Shania Twain to jam out with, who knew that would get me through it so fast! On another note, guess what? I had another oatmeal-to-bar on my way home yesterday, I was really hungry on the train and remembered that I had it in my lunch bag, and omg Rennie it was soo good. I'm so happy that my pickiness can be satiated with something healthy :cheer: did you end up going to Walmart yesterday? Oh and you're right, Aimee is still on vacation, but I don't know where Coon is :dunno: maybe she's just busy with her new courses and work.

Good Morning All,

Down .4 this morning to 186.4. Thank you scale. I did 20 inclined pushups and managed to get 20 mins of dancing in last night. :) Today is Treadmill Day. :yay: I am still sore from the last one but that won't be stopping me today. I have my gym clothes here at work and will go straight home and hop on right after work! Still writing the food journal. Have my full day of food planned again today. Still battling the snack monster in the evenings. I think I need to add a little bit of carb to my dinner to help me feel satisfied. Maybe more fiber-rich foods??

What do you guys think? Other than water, how do you tackle the snack monster at night?

Whoowee! I just love all the bouncing around I'm doing lately! LOL! Some folks are steady losers but since the beginning of this journey, I've always been all over the place. :D S'okay though, at least I'm getting used to it. I'm pretty certain this all has to do with TOM being due and my new workout regiment with the gym challenge. My muscles are SO sore so I KNOW they're inflamed and filled with water plus with TOM, I'm sure I'm that water retention is at it's max. It's definitely not sodium or my calories as I've been perfectly OP for...well for weeks! No slips! Wow! That's a pretty amazing realization.

Anyway, night two of torture commences in about 9 hours! I'm nervous about what she's going to have us do this time. However, I did decide that 1/2hr of jacuzzi time after the workout would be a good idea to sooth my poor confused muscles! ;)

Here's to an OP day!

LGW -- Great job avoiding the muffins!

Envelope -- Woo hoo!

Diana -- Good morning! BTW - I LOVE the rant link you gave Rennie! LOL!

Lin -- What a nice compliment that you look the same as you did 29 years ago! How young!! ;) The free concerts sounds fun. We have them all over the place here on different night at different places during the summer but I haven't been yet this year. I think I have to rectify that!

Roxy -- Um yea. Today it's bad! LOL. I still went to the gym but just did some light cardio and followed that up with about 20 minutes of stretching. I stretched everything and did feel a bit more mobile but I'm sure it'll get worse as I sit at my desk today. I'm trying to get up and walk around to keep things lose. I'm scared for tonight! LOL!

OnaMi -- Thanks for the vote of confidence. When I get to the end of this 8-week challenge, I'm going to be amazed to look back and see how quickly I was able to adjust to these challenging workouts. I just know it! ;) Have fun at the Power Pump...that sounds like a challenging workout as well.

Kukkie -- Sorry about the temporary gain but that's just what it is. You are so focused these days it's gonna come off sooner rather than later.

Vixsin -- Yay for the loss! Looks like you're beating that snack monster! I think protein and fiber filled foods will make you feel more satisfied. Carbs will probably just make you more hungry in the evenings.

Court -- Woo hoo! You are definitely going to be out of the 240's by Sept!!

Matilda -- Nice job!! You are sticking with you plan great this month!

I'm so proud of everyone for their weight loss!

I've been SUPER busy and stressed... trying to manage it all. Last night was kind of a bad night because of anxiety (I had a panic attack) and let myself "make it all better" by eating a little too much. I'm making up for it today though. Thankfully my weight hasn't really changed so I don't have to feel the regret after weigh in.

One day I hope to be good at commenting on everyone personally but for now I have to be content just reading and being encouraged through your progress!

Ok-it's nearly 1am and I can't sleep. Feeling strange and I can't quite explain it. I've been on this forum discussing other people's reactions to my weight loss, especially my brother and his wife who both need to lose a significant amount of weight. What's bothering me is DH. We have been together nearly 18 years. I was around 190lbs when we met, and went up to over 300 after the babies were born, went back down to 190 around 7 years ago, and am at my current weight after a year or so. DH is a big man, he's a;ways been big, but over the years has got bigger. I have encouraged, but never imposed my eating habits on him. I believe you will never do it if someone forces you to. I resented all the "help" I was offered before I began my own journey.Truly, I am not asking him to change. I'd like him to lose weight for his health, but he's still the man I fell in love with, and that won't change. The problem is he seems to have lost interest in me. I know he loves me, because he tells me constantly, but I don't think he "fancies" me!! Alarming I know, but we were far more "active" when I was 300lbs than we are now. Gosh, probably TMI but I am at the end of my tether. I have tried to discuss it, he says he thinks I'm beautiful. I have tried to be more "alluring" in the bedroom, but it seems to be ignored. My brother says he thinks DH feels threatened, and that makes me feel like s**t. He says DH is probably worried I might go out and find myself a nice little toyboy !!!! To me it's ridiculous - I love DH, I have never even so much as kissed another man in 18 years, so why, because I'm not fat anymore am I suddenly a threat?? So confused and distressed :( Truly I'm not looking for answers, just needed to get that off my chest as it has bothered me for months now.
To all my friends in 3FC, thanks again for listening. Who knew that losing weight could be complicated in so many ways???

Aw Angie I'm sorry you had a rough day/evening yesterday  I truly hope today is much better for you. I missed you also  I drink too much water late in the evening so I am get up about 4 times a night. Sucks for me when I'm pooped but I can't hold it so I get up, drives my husband crazy

Thanks Jami good job on the .9 down yesterday :) this is funny ---> They seem hesitant, like they're afraid of what I might ask them to do today. HA! I keep trying to tell them to relax...that they won't be tortured again until Wed but I'm not sure they believe me. :) YOU ARE SUCCESSFUL  I'm glad we're friends

LOL Lin we just say OOT or No weigh in  but the next time you put AFS we'll know what you mean :) Put what you like ;) Lin good job on the 1.2lbs gone for the week and it's great that you look the same as 29 years ago (minus the belly). I hope someone can/will say that to me one day

Aw Sam yes you are and always will be a beautiful bright star  Keep shining my friend :)

LGW I prefer Coke when I drink soda but Pepsi Max taste much better than Coke ZERO and definitely better than diet Coke IMHO :)

envelope the site was wacky yesterday, You've lost 4.6lbs this month may not be what you want but it's not a gain, way to go Lady

Diana glad you are getting your rest in  Good job on the pound down :)

Thanks Roxy, I thought of you the entire time and Ms Jami of course. I so want to get up to 30 minutes. I haven't been on today and my legs are tired from all the driving and walking today but I have a gyro, fries and a sugary lemonade today so I will do something after I get back from Bible study for sure. Tired or Not :) And Jami I'll remember to put my weight in this time ;)

Ona good job on the pound down :) I can't stand turkey bacon unless you put it in an omelet chopped up, I figure if I'm gonna add the sodium might as well eat what I like, though I don't eat it that often, (just had to say that)

Kukkie no I didn't get them yet. I will try to remember after church this evening. Glad you're enjoying them. I would like to one day say I'm bored with an exercise machine :lol:Aimee and I also email each other. I sent her an email after I asked on here. She did tell me that she is on vacation. I forgot :dizzy: She said she saw Coon on FB but hasn't talked to her. Maybe she'll check in soon :)

Ok gotta go I will finish up when I get back. But I wanted to say I was down another 4.8lbs of crap and water at 175.6 this morning. Hope I didn't screw it up at the Baltimore Harbor today :crossed:

My post-brunch-3hrs of sleep WI was 215...you know I have peek :)
On my way to an outing - already have my meal picked out! Salad, sizzling chicken/shrimp with brocolli and a diet coke. Then tomorrow we go out to breakfast and I already mentioned I have that planned. Decaf coffee, veggie omelet with 2 eggs and extra veggies, side of grits. PLANNING PLANNING PLANNING is KEY

Thanks for all of the suggestions on diet soda! Someone mentioned crystal light, which I do like; however, UNFORTUNATELY I was looking for caffeine :) I usually drink diet AW root beer, which I absolutely love. In order to get away from the soda I am going to have to do a challenge. A few years ago my family had a weight loss challenge and one of the challenges was to not have soda for a period of time. At that time, I always had a 12 pack of diet-something in my refridgerator. Even now, after a few years, I still don't buy 12 packs -- I say all of that to say that I'm going to have to challenge myself in order to stop the frequent soda drinking :)

love2b: congrats on the 4.8 - that's a huge whoosh :)

starbrite: you look awesome - I wonder what your DH would think if he read your post :) I know you are not looking for advice, but I will say that maybe it's not that he feels threatened, but maybe in some ways just wishes he lost the weight with you :)

kwigg: you are doing great. My goal is only 4-8 lb loss a month - so I would have reached goal already if I had your trend!

Diana: :(

Jamisue: yes, the jacuzzi is what you need! Good job sticking with this challenge. I did a boot camp about a year ago and in hindsight I didn't lose a lot on the scale but my body was definitely more defined!...I didn't even look at those muffins...and after I posted...someone offered them again...still said NO

Matilda:  you are doing great

Cutie: you are really on a roll!!!!!! :)

Vixsin: SPOILER ALERT: I don't know if want to hear this -- but I have some sugar free southern pecan ice-cream that is DELICIOUS! When my trend was all downward - I was having ONE CUP just about every evening, or I may just have a couple of spoonfuls to satisfy my craving. I have some sugar free cookies as well. Really small cookies and sometimes I will have 2. I'm not a big ice cream fan so this works for me, may not work if you LOVE ice cream and the cookies are not fabulous but they do the trick!

kukkie: I did the lemon water a few times and each time I gained?

Ona: you are the exercise queen :)

Finally got my workout in today! :cheer2: 25 mins on the treadmill. Walk/jog combo. It felt GOOD! I had a yummers pb balance bar right afterward for my protein. My calories are a little high today at 1930 but I think it will balance out because of the exercise. I'm going to make sure not to have anything else tonight except liquids.

Hoping for a loss tomorrow. Hoping for a whoosh soon. :crossed:

Just a couple minutes and I have to run. Thanks to all for the "look like I did 29 years ago" comments - but my point was that 29 years ago, I was 8 months pregnant! LOL!

I'll try to remember NWI for days I don't weigh in.

Starbrite - I wonder if your hubby is feeling insecure because he has always been in control in the past and now that you are, it's just a bit different for him? I'm sure your relationship is strong enough that he knows in his logical brain that you would never stray. But emotions aren't logical. And we know that men don't talk about things the same way women do, so trying to talk with him probably gets "Everything's fine" for an answer. Just hang in there. And get it off your chest in here whenever the need arises.

Everyone else - great job on staying positive. Big losses, small backward steps - all the same in the long run as long as we stay on plan.

Goodnight all.

July 31st: 254.4 lbs

August:
1 256.2 (bad weekend caught up to me) 1660 calories
2 255.6 - starting to get it under control. 1950 calories
3 255.6 - staying the same is better than gaining again!
4 255.2 - 1840 calories
5 254.6 - start of anniversary weekend - 2212 calories
6 254.6 - 2254 - went to newport and walked around all day
7 255 - expected slight gain, but walked a lot again - 2320 calories
8 254 - 1835 calories
9 254.6 - slight trouble getting back on track 1960 calories
10 254.6 - still not quite on target - 2000 calories
11 255.4 - finally got in my head that I needed to be OP - 1550 calories
12 255 - 2220 calories - ate really well all day, but went out to eat at night.
13 254 - 1680 calories
14 254 - 1760 calories
15 255 - 1820 calories - drank a LOT of water, so I'm going to assume that's what caused the extra pound, lol
16 254.2 - 1710 calories
17 253.8 - 1750 calories

Been pretty on target with calories the past few days, since my goal is 1750. Still trudging along!

Down 1.6 today to 205. I had a project meeting today so I ate food I normally would not eat, sandwiches on white rolls, but I think I did okay. Problem is that I was munching on peanuts that I got out for Cameron and I ate about 4 handfuls before I looked at the calorie count...OMG 1/3 cup is 320 calories...how much is 4 handfuls???? I might have inadvertently eaten 800-900 calories...holy crap. I'm throwing them in the garbage.

Oh, and I accidentally had a bite of tuna today. I picked up a sandwich that looked like half a grilled cheese to have with my salad. I took a bite and thought, "eww...I think it must have been resting on a tuna sandwich, it tastes fishy"...then I looked closer, it was a grilled cheese + tuna sandwich!!! Ewww. If you knew me IRL you'd know this is traumatic for me, I don't eat fish...ever. Not any kind -- I find it revolting...and I ate it. Oh god...I'm going to go wash my tongue again now.

Jami -- Great job on your exercise lately! Don't worry about the ups and downs, just focus on the right choices and behaviours. (I'm cracking myself up right now with this advice since I rarely take it myself!)

Lin -- I like OOT (out of town) for days I don't weigh in...I borrowed it from someone else who used to post here. Good job on your 1lb today.

Hey, where is fitkristi anyway???

Sam -- Good job on your .2 today -- keep chipping away at thos last 7lbs, you can do it. I also think your DH might be feeling a little insecure because you are so totally hot now :) I suggest to keep reminding him how sexy you think he is and hopefully he'll come round.

Diana -- Congrats on your 1lb today! Sometimes when it is TTOM I feel like you do today -- like you just want someone to stick a pin in you and pop you. Hope your mouth is feeling better.

Roxy -- Sorry about the :joker: gain. I loved the phrase 'on the lemon' I'll definitely plagerize that one! I need to get on the lemon right now come to think of it. :D

Ona -- Thank you :) Good job getting rid of the persistant pesky pound. Please promise to enjoy power pump today. Perhaps perserverence as a pupil will pay off and you will prevail over the problematic routine and not perceive so much pain as in the past. :D :D (I was inspired by the name of your class -- power pump -- to produce as many p's as possible)

Kukkie -- Yes, I was uptown Monday, and downtown today. I am watering myself like crazy -- hopefully I won't retain all of this tomorrow! Good job on the elliptical last night!

Vixsin -- I struggle with nighttime snacking -- whatever you do don't eat peanuts! I used to have a 50 cal skinny cow fudgesicle or a 60 cal sugar free chocolate pudding...I've gotten away from there, but since i"m mentioning it to you I think I'll try those again too. They always seemed to help curb my munchies.

Rennie -- About the water and peeing at night...I'm sure your DH would be more annoyed if you didn't get up 4x a night and peed the bed instead. Holy cow, down 4.8 today! Great job :)

LGW -- Thats a pretty exciting sneak peek weigh in! Great work. How about some vitamin B for energy instead of caffeine (if you're trying to avoid caffeine that is)?

Ok I'm back :D

Vixsin good job on the .4 down :) Snack monster is tackled by a cup (sometimes 2) of grapes and water. :) Hoping for a great weigh in tomorrow for ya' :)

Cutie good job on the pound gone :) Glad you enjoyed Zumba I love it also, what a great workout ;). Haven't tried Yoga :) I'm sure you'll be out of the 240's by September determination will WIN :)

Matilda, way to go on the 2lbs gone :)

Diana I read it, I was hoping that since it was only a taste you wouldn't have a reaction. I'm sorry  Sorry TOM is being so mean this month ... love that :tantrum: guy ;) Diana I felt great until I ate that gyro. My mouth waters for certain things and I fully intended to eat light but my plans to take snacks didn't hit me until I was already on 95. So too late. Like you said about TOM I feel like a blowfish most of the time here lately. Everything I eat gives me gas and I'm not sure why that is all of a sudden. So between gas and sodium I think I've just been full of air

Jami great job on being OP for weeks, you go Girl :) Sorry about the water retention and the sore muscles ... Oh my you have to do it again this evening. The jacuzzi sounds like a wonderful idea :) Hopefully next week will be better

Thanks LGW love your PLANNING have fun :) I wouldn't call it a whoosh :) just eating half the calories that I had per day while I was away will do it every time ;)

 kwigg glad you are focusing on today and putting yesterday behind you. :) You can and you are doing this

Sam I'm sorry you are going through this

Thanks Ona I am definitely trying ;)

Lin you are one of the right frame of mind Lady's in here ... great job on staying positive. Big losses, small backward steps - all the same in the long run as long as we stay on plan <--- great thought :)

MeliZ good job on the .4 down :)

Thanks Angie great job on the 1.6 down. My handful of nuts (without them falling out) is my 1/4 of a cup, only what I can cup in my palm. You can call us the nutty ladies today. I did the same thing but only two handfuls 170 calories each. :lol3: you are too funny. I can see you washing your tongue with a clothe because it sounds like something I would do LOL. Why don't you like fish? bad experience? the smell? LOL you are cracking me up ... every time I give my opinion I think the same thing ---> (I'm cracking myself up right now with this advice since I rarely take it myself!) it was said this evening that you tend to remember more (absorb it) when you write it down. And when I can see it in black and white it makes a ton of sense though I don't always apply it. (I'm working on it) ;) Again a funny from you with the P's to Ona ;) Angie sometimes I'm so tired, because my sleep is constantly broken, I pray I don't have one of those I'm already in the bathroom dreams  that would be horrid. I already make him get up when I have those ridiculous night sweats, how on earth would I explain the a puddle? :lol3: ok that's not funny I don't even want to think about that

OK here is my exercise info
~elliptical 5:15 minutes = 60 calories, I so wanted to do 10 minutes but I could hardly breathe
~treadmill 22:11 minutes = 179 calories, I tried a 4.5 incline for about 4 minutes not easy at all. My hat is off to Coondocks for doing an incline at 7, whew :woops:

Hey
 thanks for all the lovely comments. Was having a real low last night, and have found being at the stage I'm at now very daunting. It's a shock to realise that in order to maintainI have to keep OP or as close to. Then add to that the opinions of others about my selfishness, and the lack of affirmation about attractiveness from DH, just makes my headspin !! I know in my logical brain it will all be ok, and that DH truly loves me, but when you have gone through such a dramatic change it's hard to get your head round, and hard to see yourself through someone else's eyes.I've said it before and I'll say it again, the emotional side of this journey just blows me away!
Anyhoo, down 0.8 today, so my late night brandy and 2.30am bedtime did not cause any damage :)

Morning! Its going to be a longggg day for me! Early morning calls with Europe and late night calls with Asia.

Down 0.3 to 202.5 - earlier than usual and pre-BM, so I'm okay with it. I think TOM might be arriving soon as well...I hope! There were unexpected signs yesterday, and when I checked my tracker app, it's scheduled to arrive on the wknd, but I didn't even think of it since I missed last month entirely. Oh please TOM show up and whoosh away some unnecessary weight.

I'm down .6 today to 171.0 - maybe I'll get out of this decade after all. I was afraid I'd have to go buy a lot of expensive clothes that fit just right. I figure if I do that, I'm sure to whoosh out of them in a matter of days! I'll hold off for a while.

Starbrite - I sometimes feel overwhelmed at the fact that this is how I need to eat forever, too. That's one of the big reasons I decided in January to just eat what I know is healthy. I didn't want to get set in a plan that seemed like a "diet" forever. Unfortunately, this is the way we have to eat! I watch my DD who is 5'6" and 128 -130 pounds. She has never had a weight problem, but she also never ate a whole bag of cookies at a time, either. Thank goodness she never picked up my bad habits. This IS the way she eats! She skimps on lunch if she's having a big supper. She never eats everything on her plate at a restaurant but brings half home. Stuff like that. I think the difference is this - once we settle in for a time at a goal weight, we realize we can have the day where we go to an all you can eat buffet and "blow it" and it's still OK. It's just one meal. right now everything is so focused on getting to goal that the holding back seems endless. We'll all get there and stay there with the right mind set. You have it. Hope you're felting emotionally better.

I had a few more thoughts about you and your hubby - I wonder if he felt like you might not like his body as much way back when you first started to lose and was hesitant to initiate anything and that became the norm for him? We all have that nagging doubt hiding somewhere. Maybe he feels deep down that he should also be losing and this is his way of coping because he isn't. Enough on the topic.

Everyone - have a great day. I'm off to work and the gym after and an evening of cleaning the kitchen. The excitement never ends.

Angie: Funny you mention vitamins -- I actually started taking them again today. I have a MV from GNC that I absolutely love and gives me energy (women's mega MV - time release); however, for some odd reason if I take it during the day I get really tired and if I take them for too long, say a month or so, I cannot sleep at night, so every time I take them I have to strategically plan when to take them...but I did start today :) Thanks for the reminder

Today I am back down that pound to 167.4 again. That means I've had no real loss for yesterday or today, but I got rid of the sodium pound in only 1 day and I can't complain about that!

Ona - I love your "i didn't die last week so I should do a little better this week" - awesome attitude!

Jami - that's ok, bouncing burns calories, right ;) I hope last nights workout went well, can't wait to hear about it.

Diana - I'm sorry TTOM is being so hard on you.

Starbrite - I don't have any advice. I worry about my husband, not that he will feel threatened, but that he just won't be attracted to me anymore because he has always liked bigger women, so I can feel your pain. I hope things improve.

LGW - Crystal Light made a few flavors that had caffeine. I didn't like them though and I don't know if they still have them. They were in the single serving ones and labeled 'energy'.

Angie - I am sorry about your tuna experience. No need to throw out the peanuts, just let DS and the pup have them all :)

Lin - I love the comment about expensive clothes, that always works for me too. It probably wouldn't work if we did it on purpose though ;)

Buddy, I'm drinking water and eating on plan like nobody's business! I WILL get back to my low! I'm feeling good today!

Taking a half day today. Maxwell has a carnival at Tae Kwondo today. Complete with games and all kinds of stuff. It's for a good cause. So he asked me if I could go and I, of course, told him that I had to work. He was instantly HEART BROKEN. I mean to the point of tears!!! That has never happened before! He said he was going to be the only one without a parent there and that I ALWAYS had to work! I felt horrible. That was yesterday. It happened again this morning except he burst into tears when talking about the carnival and how much he wanted me to be there. I told him that I would be a little late but I would get there today to spend time with him. So thankful for my amazing boss.

Talk about playing my heartstrings like a $2 fiddle. I can't wait to share this with him. He's so happy that I'm going to be there. I'll take pics with my phone because I think I left my camera at my friends house last weekend.

I'll talk to you all later on today. Have a great one!!!!! :grouphug:

TOM is here  :cheer:

I know it sounds a bit strange for me to celebrate this, but I am really very excited. Hubs and I definitely want kids, we just weren't planning on it yet and we definitely aren't ready. I haven't missed an entire period since before I was prescribed Synthroid when my thyroid stopped fluctuating between hypo- and hyper- and settled into hypo- more than 10 years ago. After coming off the BCP, I had a normal cycle, so when last month went by with nothing I was more nervous and anxious than I admitted. I feel a really big sense of relief right now, but I hope this doesn't come off insensitive to anyone who's trying or wants to or can't or really anyone in general!

kukkie - i understand completely. i've been in a similar spot with hoping TOM showed up after going through a set of antibiotics while on birth control pills (actually i'm on antibiotics right now, and supposedly ovulated yesterday. guess who has a sad hubby?) we definitely want little ones, but with all the moving we're doing in the next few years, it's not exactly the best idea.

enjoying my break from the strictness of dieting. feeling a little more human after good food, good meds, and some rest. the garlic parm cream sauce i made was delicious. the lemon bars equally so. huzzah sweet and savory! i even let the hubby treat me to a mcdonalds breakfast in bed yesterday (i'm such a sucker for a bacon/egg/cheese mcgriddle). i'm still being careful about my foods and making healthy choices, i'm just not stressing everything right now. i stepped on the scale this morning, just to see if my last few days have done much damage, and it's only up .4 from the lowest i've seen it say... so i guess i'm doing okay winging it! i'll find out when i get on the wii fit once we settle in SC (it's already packed to remove temptation!)

today is my last day at work. it's both happy and sad. i've been there for nearly 5 years... i'm a wee bit attached! i'll probably cry today. i hope everyone has a good day!

18: 255.3 (+1.3) TOTAL LOST 4.4

Okay already. All I can do is laugh. I joked with my MFP pals this morning that my patience is getting a harder workout than anything else right and it's TRUE! LOL! Oh well, it is what is. I'm working hard and I KNOW I will reap the benefits of this work one way or another! :D From what I understand, water retention is common with strength training because the muscles get inflamed when they're damaged and repairing so I HOPE that's true and is part of what's going on. I also know that TOM is due any day now (I keep saying that) and all the signs are there so hopefully that's part of this too. :crossed:

So I survived round 2 of the BFC (body fit challenge). It was another grueling workout last night with an 8-stop circuit training routine followed by 15 minutes of ab work but no asthma attack...YAY So the circuit consisted of: 1) Lat pull down [60lbs], 2) Medicine ball [4lbs] squat jump arm extension deal, 3) Squat, stand, shoulder press w/ dumbells [10lbs], 4) Skier hop thingys on the step w/ 3 elevators, 5) Row pulls [60lbs], 6) Tri-cep extensions [30lbs], 7) Sqatting side shuffle sprints, 8) Bicep pull while [50lbs]standing on a Bosu. Whew! Please oh please let this gaining stop. My trainer is NEVER going to believe that I'm -11,000 calories this week and GAINED 3lbs! LOL!

On top of starting the challenge at the gym this week, my week at work has been pretty stressful, and TOM is so near...ugh, I've just been exhausted so I haven't had much quality time with the family. I eat like a beast and then crash almost as soon as I've walked in the door. SO...I decided to take Friday off and I cancelled a visit to my firends house on Saturday so I can rest at home and have some fun with my boys! I miss them...

(OH yea, DH used our massager on my poor tired upper and lower back muscles and on my hamstrings last night! Oh lord was I drooling!)

Diana -- I WISH TOM would come already as I'm hoping and praying he's to blame for this insane gaining going on right now. Perfectly OP, working harder than ever and the scale is going up? Oy vey!

Kwigg -- Sorry to hear about the stress. I know that stress makes all fo this stuff we're doing that much more difficult. And even though you slipped up, it sounds like your handling "the day after" very well. Keep it up!

Sam -- It does sometime seem like our journeys and struggles are never over. One huge weight of your shoulders when you reach goal and another one or two quickly move into that one's place. It is complicated becoming a new person and people handle our changes in different ways. I'm sure he'll come around.

MeliZ -- Nice job this month missy. Keep up the har work!

Angie -- YAY!! Sorry about the sneak attack from the peanuts! ;) And thanks for the compliments on the exercise I am working hard and apparently that earns me a 3+lb gain this week. LOL! May I'm just seriously replacing fat w/ muscles that quick? LOL...doubt it. And yes, why is that advice so easy to give but so completely impossible to do when we're gaining?!? LOL. C'est la vie...

Rennie -- Yes, I did it again last night and whooowee! Such a great and tough workout. My arms and legs are just limp noodles when I'm done. I didn't take my bathing suit but I definitely am in the coming weeks! Your exercising is going great lately woman! GREAT JOB! LOL about DHs funny comment. I can just picture you tossing water on yourself instead of actually walking on the treadmill. Who would do that?!?! HA!

LGW -- You are simply amazing. You are doing so incredibly wonderful. With all the challenges you face with your schedule alone, yet you still manage to loose and stay so positive. :D

Roxy -- HA about the bouncing comment! That definitely had me smiling this moring! Congrats on shedding that pesky pound again.

Vixsin -- Have a great time with Maxwell! You both deserve it!

Kukkie -- LOL about TOM. I totally understand your relief though I will be excited because I'm just tired of waiting and this water retension is driving me loopy :dizzy:. I'll give TOM a standing ovation because the sooner he comes, the sooner he can get the heck outta town!

Mandy -- Sorry that your sad. Leaving friends is always tough regardless of how excited your are for the move. It sound like you're handling your break well so just keep doing what you're doing.

Mandy have a great day, enjoy your time off from everything

Jami oh my goodness, you are a trooper. All of your work will pay off, it has too. Can't talk about the sore muscles but from what I've learned here that has to be the reason for your gain. Your whoosh is coming  LOL yeah and the water made all of the perfect sweat circles ... I just looked at him Silly man ;). Thanks Jami

Ophelia - absolutely nothing wrong with slow and steady, keep it up!

Kukkie - Yay TOM! LOL

Mandy - I'm glad your break is going well and that you are feeling better. to help you with this bittersweet day, 5 years is a long time, but you can be thankful to be living in modern times when it is so much easier to keep in touch with friends even if you move far away.

Jami - I'm sorry the scale is still not cooperating. With TOM due and your sudden increase in the intensity of your workouts there's no doubt that it is water. :crossed: for it to be gone soon. Your workout from last night sounds fun! I'm a sick sick puppy!

And in my world PANIC mode has been activated. We finally got the call to schedule the first session of our adoption homestudy. It is Sunday at 12:30. I am thinking that I will probably take tomorrow off from the gym to work on things around here to have the place as nice looking as possible. Unfortunately we found out too late for DH to be able to get out of work. Everybody pray, cross fingers, light candles, do whatever it is that you do, we can use all the help we can get. Especially since I have become seriously ill today which will make prepping things that much harder.

Just checking in. Not too much time to post tonight again. I was reading my own quote in Vixen's post and realized I MEANT to say that my daughter never picked up my bad habits. I assume from my context that all of you knew what I meant.

Hope everyone had a great day and that tomorrow is even better.

I had another situation today where someone thought I was DH's daughter. This has happened three times in the last few months. He is not thrilled at all with this.

Angie Great job on the 1.6 pounds! Ha Ha You made me laugh about tuna and washing your tongue. Something funny about me. I have lived on the coast most of my life and love all seafood. There has always been one exception. Here goes my embarrassing admission. I like grilled tuna but I HATE tuna fish (like the canned variety). I would not touch tuna salad with a 10 ft pole! DH never understood this. One day he was trying to figure out why I like grilled tuna but not canned tuna fish. I about flipped when I found out the two are the same. Here's the other funny thing, I still won't touch any type of tuna salad, but I like tuna noodle casserole. :dunno:

Rennie Great job on that workout!

Starbrite Hang in there, my friend. Great job on the .8.

Kukkie Great job on the .3!

Linjber Congrats on the .6.

LGW Woo Hoo! 2 pounds gone! I'm glad you like the Pepsi Max. I spoke with one of the Pepsi reps. Pepsi Max is considered one of their energy drinks. I think it has extra caffeine and some type of herb in it.

Fitgirlygirl I've got all my fingers and toes crossed for you. I am also sending you positive thoughts and prayers. I hope everything goes well for you this weekend. I also hope you feel better.

Vixsin Congrats on the 1.2 pounds! I'm glad you have such a great boss and you are able to go to the carnival. Those are the things the little ones remember. I hope you had a great time together.

Ona I hope you were able to get rested today. You are doing great!

Opheliaphoenix Hi

Mandy Hi

Jamisue It sounds like TTOM may be closer than you think. I hope you can get some relief soon. Hang in there.

Matilda Hello 220's! Great job! I remember the 230's about did me in! They were evil for sure!

Stargetsfit Well, I think everything looks good considering you had pasta. When we go to Olive Garden I order the Apricot Chicken. It's pretty good.

LGW so you like the Pepsi Max? Glad you finally got to try it :)

Roxy Congratulations on finally getting that call. I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. I truly hope that you will gain the strength you need to get things the way you want them (I'm sure it's not much to do but the pressure is on for perfection now). You have it in the bag, just breathe. feel better

StarGetsFit good job on the 2lbs gone. Olive Garden is hard. It's not the pasta for me it's that bread

Lin my daughter is like your daughter, thin, never finishes anything :) She now tells me not to eat certain things or will ask, "Are you supposed to be eating that?"

Aw Diana, I'm sorry to hear that. I know how that must make him feel because it use to happens to my Mom with her husband (people use to ask him, "Is that your Mom? all the time) and she would be furious. How do you feel about it? LOL Diana we like what we like and how we like it :D Pepsi Max has ginseng it.

I ate dinner late only a baked chicken thigh and a cup of homemade mac n cheese. I hope that the calorie burn from my yard work and mowing the lawn balances things out so that I can at least stay the same tomorrow :crossed:

Good night

Darn it. I lost 1.6 yesterday and today's sodium bounce back was, you guessed it...1.6 *sigh* -- moving on. I'm sure I'll see ONEderland sometime this year!

Rennie -- I'm glad I made you laugh! I think I was in a silly mood :) Great job on your exercise today. Oh, I just hate fish...I did eat some when I was a very little girl, but the taste and texture just don't work for me..there's not a single kind that I eat...same thing for eggs... yuck! Wishing you a great weigh in tomorrow!

Sam -- Good job on your .8 :)

Kukkie -- Hmm...when you missed TOM last month, did you pee on a stick by any chance??? Oh! I see TOM arrived and that it was good news..lol.

Diana -- Good job on your .4! Oh when I was small I used to like salmon salad sandwiches when my Grama made them; UNTIL I found out that salmon was fish..ew. I'm with you though, there are few things more disgusting to me than canned flakey tuna. If someone is eating a tuna sandwich I want to leave (flee!) the area. Last winter I went shopping with my much younger friend, she is about 25, and a clerk in a store thought I was her mother :o ...I wanted to wring that woman's neck. However, I think it's super cool that you are obviously looking so young, tell DH it's not him, it's you! lol

LGW -- Great weigh in. Hope your breakfast out was great. I have to just remind myself to take my vitamins now...after reminding you I thought hmm...when did I last take my b12? (A few days ago I think)

Roxy -- YEs, I think DS and the dog can have the peanuts -- I'm a bit disgusted by them now! I should post that pic here too :) Sending you lots of good vibes for a successful homestudy visit tomorrow.

Here is a picture of Cameron sharing peanuts with our dog the other night...Cam ate a few and then he just started licking the salt off of them and feeding them to the dog.

40160

Vixsin -- Congratulations on your whoosh! I'm glad you got to go be with Maxwell at his carnival today.

Hi Ona

Ophelia

Mandy -- Aww sorry about the bittersweet last day of work for you.

Jami -- A day off with the boys sounds like the perfect medicine.

Matilda -- Nice whoosh, congrats!

Matilda -- Woo hoo! Amazing job! You are sticking so strong this month. So PROUD of you girl!

Rennie -- Way to go keep yourself busy by getting some more exercise in. What diligence!! And thanks. Funny as I realize how much I've changed since starting this journey. This is just the way life is now for me. I go to the gym, I watch what I eat. Going back to the way things were just isn't even an option.

LGW -- I'm so glad you got an opportunity to try the Pepsi Max. Now you have even more options to get your caffeine in without spending your precious calories! YAY!

Roxy -- OMG! I can't believe you're finally going to get your homestudy!!! I'm so happy for you. I understand what you mean about being in panic mode though but thankfully it's for such an amazing reason! I am going to do all those things you mentioned. I'm truly praying that things go well and so sorry that DH isn't going to be able to be there. And YES you ARE sick puppy! (quite literally though it sounds like) ;)

Star -- Great job getting back in that saddle. Your WI this morning was GREAT!!

Diana -- OMG! Your DH must be spitting nails about the daughter comments! HA! That is too funny. It sounds like he's got a good sense of humor though I'm sure he's had about enough of that one. LOL! And I think you're right about TTOM. I'm guessing it'll go be go time w/i the next 8 hours! THANK GOD! LOL!

Angie -- I will GUARANTEE that you see ONEderland this year! :D And yes, some time with my boys is just what I need. DH went out of town so he can hit the water (fishing) w/ his buddy first thing in the am. So me and my boys are going to climb in my bed and watch a movie together tonight. I'm quite certain that we'll all just fall asleep snuggled up together. CANNOT WAIT! :)

Kwigg -- WTG girly. Keep it up!

The dog days are almost over :)

NSV alert: For breakfast, I had a veggie omelet, fruit and decaf coffee -- they did not have grits -- location, location LOL :) They had potatoes on the plate that I DID NOT EVEN TASTE! I used to ALWAYS get the french toast at this place, so it felt good to actually order healthy and be satisfied!

NSV alert: I remember I posted here a few weeks ago that I was getting those "fat-girl-trying-to eat-healthy-I-know-she-does-not-eat like-that-at-home" looks. They have converted to looking impressed! I think they are amazed at my progress, given the fairly large amounts that I eat and all of the options I have. I don't have that stressed, "I'm on-a-diet-and-struggling-with-my-choices" look :)

kwigg: keep it up

Angie: We are definitely on the path to ONEderland! Let's hang in there together :)

Love2b: yes, pepsi max was not that bad, good luck on your WI tomorrow

linjber:

stargetsfit: OG has a tasty looking chicken ceasar salad -- I've of course never tried it LOL My favortie is the stuffed chicken marsala that I now get with brocolli instead of mashed potatoes -- glad you're back in the saddle!

fitgirl: good luck with the adoption home study!!!!!

matilda: great downward trend :)

jamisue: thanks! you are doing great as well! You are going to see amazing results with the BFC!

koonfyoozed: good luck on the move :)

Morning
Had a stressy evening- my BFF was over for lunch which turned into evening with two other friends, then she received a call to say there had been people killed at the festival her son was at - she was hysterical (He's ok), then followed this with an argument with DH over tomorrows party that we are planning, the result being I ate crisps :( Not loads just enough to fill me with sodium ! So up 1.5 for 153.5- stupid me!
Also had a major storm here and spent the evening placing strategic buckets to catch the leaks in the ceiling- lovely day !

Good Morning! TGIF! :carrot: Happy Friday, Everyone! The weekend is here! :yay:

I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend! :grouphug:

I am up an hour early this morning. I've got some extra stuff to do today before I can start my weekend! We also had a storm and some type of power surge at the shop yesterday. The internet went down and never came back before we left. I don't know if the issue is on our end or with the ISP. I will have to figure that out when I get to work. Hopefully, it's back on and not a problem on our end. :crossed:

Calories for yesterday: 1440 + :coffee:

Weigh In: 143.8 (TTOM)

Down: 1 pound

Angie

Down 1.2 today to 205.4 -- I would like to be down another pound by Sunday -- this fluctuating is crazy. I'm going to do everything I can to see onederland sooner rather than later.

Jami -- Cam and I are having a movie night tonight as well. We just finished reading the first Harry Potter book together (I read them all before with my step daughter...they came out when she was 8) and as our reward we are going to watch the movie tonight, then on to the next book. What movie are you guys planning to watch?

LGW -- Love your NSVs last night :) I feel at that point too...we went to my aunt's last night because we had some out of town family visiting, and they had ordered chinese food. I ate a RIDICULOUSLY small amount (1 eggroll, 1 tablespoon of chow mein, 1 teeny dumpling) and was completely satisfied with that little taste...it was more important to me to think of the scale thsi morning than to have all the rice and fried stuff last night. We're doing it!

Sam -- Sorry for the rough evening. I hope you and DH worked out the party disagreement and it goes well tonight. :)

Diana -- Happy Friday! Congratulations on your 1lb loss :) Any weekend plans?

Down a SHOCKING 2.2 this morning to 182.8!!! That is a FULL POUND below my low!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

The carnival with Maxwell yesterday was so fun. It wasn't much of a carnival, but they had a magician and the kids did a tae kwondo demonstration. I was glad to be there. Maxwell was super happy. Half day at work today! Going shopping for the outfit for my friends wedding today. Maybe the scale knew that? LOL Needless to say, I am in a great headspace to shop today!

Anyway, I'm taking it and I am RUNNING!!! :running:

Rennie I am happy that people think I am DH's daughter. :D People have always thought I was older than I am. I think that is from being overweight and because I acted more mature. I am an only child. I spent most of my time with adults, so I never acted like a child nor played much. I think people just assumed that I was older. :dunno: I hope you have a good weigh in!

Angie I can't get the picture link of Cameron to work. Congrats on the 1.2 pounds.

Kwigg Congrats on the .2.

JamiSue I think DH thinks it's a little funny. He keeps talking about me taking care of him when he gets old. He had my cell phone yesterday, so he couldn't get in contact with me. He wanted to let me know that he was at the restaurant. He left a message on our answering machine that he was 'try to reach his daughter so he could let her know that he was at the restaurant'.

Starbrite I wonder if your DH is just feeling stressed and is trying to pick fights with you? Sometimes people do that, but they don't realize what they are doing. Maybe just take a deep breath and let everything roll off your back for right now. Maybe it's just a phase.

LGW Congrats on the .4.

Kukkie You made me laugh about Uncle Tom, Aunt Flo, and their baggage. Hang in there.

Vixsin Congrats on the 2.2 pounds.

I'm down .6 to 166.8. For those that can handle it, I think that my experiments are showing that, for me at least, straight lemon and/or lime juice works even better at getting rid of the water weight than the lemon or lime water does. I actually like lemon and lime juice, so for me it is a pleasure, but I know it would be a hard thing for some people to drink. I have been using a shot glass and drinking it shortly before bed on days when I knew there was water weight to be gotten rid of. I have discovered that my favorite is about 2/3 lemon juice and 1/3 lime. Maybe some of you would like to give it a shot? (ha, I'm punny)

Diana - When my DH's daughter who has always looked older than she is (poor thing got bad genes) lived with us people would often think he had two daughters, but once on a day when I was looking particularly young and she was wearing a lipstick she should not have been wearing, she was addressed as his wife and the waiter thought I was their kid. That was an interesting day. My DH always just laughed it off and said how lucky he was to have such a young looking wife, I'm 6 1/2 years younger than him and I generally look younger than I am, so it can be amusing at times. I hope your DH is able to see the bright side. :crossed: for your internet situation.

Rennie - Now I want mac n cheese! I suck at making it in anything like a healthy way though.

Angie - My husband made "peanut soup" He took raw peanuts, boiled them forever with chunks of ham and seasonings (with salt of course). The stuff was over 1,000 calories per cup :dizzy:. I ate about 1/4 cup of it in order to be nice to him, but I told him I just couldn't eat more of it than that. He is insane and has a serious metabolism. He can take in 4-5,000 calories a day, not workout, and keep a 33-34 inch waist. If he works out at all or drops his calories then he drops down to a 31 inch waist. He gets all the peanuts in this house, lol.

Jami - That sounds like a really sweet night in with your boys. What did you guys watch? DH will be here for the homestudy, he just couldn't get today off to help me prep. He's going to try to get out of work early though and he will be here all day tomorrow to help.

LGW - Congrats on your NSVs. I'm sorry they didn't have grits. Being a southern girl, I LOVE grits. And of course people are starting to be impressed, you are amazing!

Starbrite - I'm so sorry for the stress. I'm glad your friend's son is ok, but I'm sorry for him that he had to be there during such a horrible thing happening. Speaking as someone who has lived in both America and Europe (England), do be glad that you weren't having our crisps/chips instead, ours are even saltier. Lots of water today. Maybe drink water and soak in some? A bubble bath is always good for stress.

Vixsin - :woohoo: and :woohoo: because that deserved 2 of them!

Thank you to everyone for your well wishes for Sunday. Please keep up your prayers and :crossed:. I'm also going to need some :dust: so that the stress doesn't drive me to :hungry: :mcd: :chockiss: :burger: :jeno: :cookie:. Once started the homestudy is supposed to take 1-2 months and there are particular children that we are already interested in that are waiting in foster homes for someone to adopt them, so if all goes well we may have kiddos in this house by :tree: or maybe even :haphal:. I am off to get busy on the house now.

Good Morning Everyone

Angie my husband is funny about his eggs. He had a bag experience when he was a child and I had to deal with it when we got together, but all better. :D Sorry about the sodium gain, that really sucks. I wonder if we'd lose weight at a steadier pace if we could eliminate sodium by 50% each day. (scratching my head) ;) It won't let me open the photo, but I did see the one of him petting the turtle :) He's a cutie. How old is Cameron?
Angie good job on the 1.2lbs down today :) You can do it, just remember to watch the sodium and get your water/lemon water in ;). Angie this may be a killer but we can try together if you want to. As of today I need to lose 6.2lbs to get to 169.0 a new decade for me. As of today you need to lose 6.4lbs to get to 199.0 a new decade for you and ONEDERLAND. This would require a ton of focus on our part but we can do it. This is also the weight that I start to screw up and bounce back to the high 170's. Are you game? We'll call it the 6lb challenge ;) How long do we want to give ourselves? Not sure which mobile plan you have but I just looked to see if I can text internationally and I can at no extra charge. :)

kwigg good job on the .2 down :)

Thanks Jami, I'm glad going back isn't an option, I'm glad you're here. Enjoy your Mommy and Sons time today or this evening? Did you take the day off I can't remember? My brain is on wait a minute a lot here lately :dizzy:

Thanks LGW, You had a great day yesterday, way to go. :high: ... Pepsi Max isn't bad. I use to drink them when I worked over night. LGW, you are working this thing out, good job on the .4 down :) You're tapping on your next mini goals door :high:

Aw Sam, sorry about your day. Hope today is a better day for you  Glad your friends son is OK, what a blessing.

Diana good job on the pound down :). I think the storm they were calling for here when right around us, we saw the lightening and heard thunder but we must have been knocked out if and when it came through. Hope your internet is up and running well when you get to work. :) Diana I'm an only child also so I know what you mean. Aw that message was cute, I love that you both have a great sense of humor :)

Kukkie sorry about the extra baggage this morning  I tried some weight control, maple & brown sugar oatmeal this morning, it said on the box NOW! Heartier Texture. Well I ate half of it before I started to gag. It wasn't too bad at first. I think I need to find a way to keep it hot.

Great whoosh Vixsin, glad you and Maxwell had fun. Have fun shopping today. I hope we get to see you in your new outfit :)

Roxy hope you're feeling a little better. Wish I was there to help you do what you would like to get done before the home study  Yes you are punny ;) I may just give that a shot, I think I can handle a that. :) That mac n cheese was in no way healthy. But I figure one unpacked cup is enough to satisfy that taste and since I made it, there is no added salt at all, but lots of black pepper :) Good job on the .6 down :) Glad your hubby will be home to help prepare and be there during the home study, what a blessing

Aimee can't wait to see you Monday

Ona, where are you this morning, no quick check in? Hope all is well.

Coondocks please come say hello

Roxie how are you and the baby doing? I pray all is well

Leah we miss you too

Cutie, ophelia, Matilda, envelope, eclipse and everyone else hope all is well

I am down .6 to 175.2 this morning. I weighed two more times 30 minutes later and saw 174.6 (I thought wow the first time so it made me check again). I hope to see 174 for sure tomorrow, but that means I have to be good today. I already finished up the last of the frosted flakes because my son brought them to me saying it wasn't enough to out back in the box (I know I didn't have to eat them) but too late. So now I need to get that workout in. BBL

Happy Friday and I hope we all have a P.O.P. day :D

Thanks Jami and Rennie- Just picked the boys up from Pukkelpop. They were ok, smelly and shocked but ok. The campsite was a bomb site - really scary. The streets were lined with dejected teenagers- really sobering. So far 5 dead, 3 critically injured and 150 injured. Makes you think,......really hard.
Diana, and ANgie, thanks I know it's a phase with DH - we are a good team usually - I think it's partly me with all my thoughts and ideas about my changes.
Thank goodness the only things in life that really matter are those that we love

Sam I just looked at the pictures. I'm sorry they had to witness that. My heart goes out to the families of the deceased, the injured and the traumatized. Praying for them all.

on a lighter note, isn't it funny how our minds just carry us away, never leave a woman to think and wonder ;)

well I did better on the elliptical today, 10:20 minutes .26 miles. The kids kept asking me why I was breathing so hard, (because this s hard). But I did it, then I got on the treadmill for 12:55 minutes .75 miles. Not great but it's something. BBL

Hello ladies I hope all is well! No time for personals today work is busy and hectic today. I am trying to make it back to my lowest of 217 and also make it to 199 year end. THis has def been a rollercoaster ride for me and I would at least like to get to onderland once and for all finally. I always get stuck in the 220s grrrrrr seems like i lose my motivation and commitment once i get into the low 220s high teens but this time around I really want to progress. I am really tired of being above 200. *willpowerdust*

I KNOW logically, 5lbs in one month is a GOOD rate to be losing at, even if I didn't have ten more days to lose more. I KNOW that I shouldn't expect to lose 10lbs a month, but I kinda do. I really got to work on my perspective.

TOM still isn't here. BOO! When I want him, he won't come. LOL! What's up with that?! Anyway, I had a great night with my boys but as much as they were both looking forward to sleeping with me, they ended up in their own beds. LOL! I've got a King size bed but I guess it was still too crowded. It was all good. We cuddled and wrestled and laughed for hours while "watching" our movie. Nothing special, just Ant Bully. Fun was had by all. One DS is in school now so lil' DS and I are hanging. Doing a lil' bit our own things (me - cleaning, him playing w/ his train set) then we come back together and play memory or read a book. Anyway, it's been a GREAT day so far and I'm so happy that I took the day off! (Not that I can ever remember regretting taking the day off though!) LOL!

Uh oh...okay nevermind. TOMs here. :carrot: :cheer3:

LGW -- Those are some great NSVs. I love your descriptions of the looks! LOL. Too funny!

Sam -- So sorry about your rough evening. Are crisps like potato chips? Yikes, we're having roof issues too so I KNOW the stress that can cause. We're hoping to replace ours before summer is over. Money's tight though so we'll see. :crossed: And wow! What a sad story about that festival. I'm so glad your friends son is okay.

Diana -- YAY! I'm definitely on board with that TGIF party you're throwing! That message DH is hilarious! I'm glad he's getting a kick out of it. What a great sport he is!

Angie -- Woo hoo! Great loss this morning! I'm so excited for you during this final stretch to ONEderland!

Kukkie - I'm with you. Today's "the" day for me too. I'm so glad he's here so he can go away and stop messing with my weight! Shoo fly!

Vixsin -- Wow! What a great start to your day today. Definitely in a good place for shopping so you better enjoy yourself and get something HOT!

Roxy -- Oh good. I guess I misunderstood but what a relief. Sorry to have to put on the final touches by yourself though. I'm so excited for Sunday and can't wait to hear how everything goes.

Rennie -- I'm glad you got a taste of that 174 so you can be extra good today. You are so going to make it!! And yea, I took the day off. I feel SO much better today. And congrats on the elliptical time this today! Woo hoo!

Matlida -- You are doing great!

Star -- Woo hoo! And yes you ARE doing great! Have fun picking out your charm!

 everybody!

Just getting around to posting cause..guess what...I slept in this morning :D that's right,No jogging/walking :yikes:Had a chance to just look at a some good sermons(C.dollar & the Gospel truth),some news and really enjoyed it.I figured I'd be doing enough today w/Zumba and Yoga so i just chilled.

I don't usually WI when i haven't jogged/walked First cause normally when i wake- up,I'm always up a pound or so and after I've exercised,I've lost something. Well this Morning..I was feeling good, decided to WI anyway and was very happy to see 177.6(Up .2),w/o walking/ jogging first and pre-BM :carrot:

Had a good work-out at the gym. When leaving out of Zumba, the instructor caught up to me and asked if i played an instrument or had anything to do with music:?: She said that I followed the Music like a trained musician and pick up on it easy. I told her thank you, maybe having and ear for Music is a gift i didn't know i had :D and that she is such a great instructor, that makes it easy for me and that i enjoy her class.:)

Then Yoga was great today,This instructor(cause we hardly ever have the same one) handed out neck ties. When ready..while laying flat on the mat, held both legs straight up,placed the tie around the bottom of the right foot(while holding onto the tie) and stretched that leg all the way out to the right..then the same thing with the left foot..man that felt good.

Each class i learn more and more.Just wish they taught it more than once a week there. They did give me a schedule to the location where they have more yoga class and said that since I'm a member,I can go to any location.:)

Fitgirlygirl Great job on the .6. I hope everything goes well with the homestudy this weekend.

Rennie Great job on the .6. You are working it! ;)

Matilda Hi  You can do it. Don't let anyone or anything get in your way of your goal. I can sense you want to do this. Look at weight loss like any other project that you need to get done and do it.

Stargetsfit Congrats on the pound and for meeting your first mini goal!

Jamisue Yay for TTOM. Relief is around the corner. ;) Maybe a nice whoosh, too.

Ona Look at you! You are going to be making the rounds at the gyms, now. :high:

Matilda, probably just sodium. Great job getting your jogging in :) I believe you will do it. You have a plan and you've been sticking with it. You'll see Onederland before the end of the year :)

Diana glad it was up and running for you :)

StarGetsFit good job on the pound down :) I would give anything to lose the way I did in the beginning, so I feel you ... but we are doing this :) :congrat: on reaching your first mini goal :cheer:

Thanks Jami glad you are enjoying your day, though I knew you would. Hope I didn't mess up my day with dinner. I ate very little but I still think the sodium may do a little damage.

Ona good for you on sleeping in :). Glad you can take more classes if you'd like :) Are you near the late Pastor Tims church? Have you ever heard him preach? I got the opportunity to hear him preach twice and I heard Riva speak at a conference that I went to. He will be missed.

Thanks Diana I sure am trying to stay focused. :) I am determined to not have a gain on Monday. I may be a beast on Sunday evening/night from not eating what my brain is asking for but I will not be defeated this weekend for sure.

Hope Everyone has a positively on point weekend

Just a quick check in....I think I ended over on calories today. Impromptu cookout so I had to guesstimate. I ate grilled chicken, kielbasa and a small pc of steak. No pasta salad for me and I did say yes to 3 drinks. Will gladly take the water gain in the morning. have a great weekend planned and tonight was really the only night for things to be late. I am ready to be focused through the weekend!!!!! Didn't make it today, so tomorrow is Treadmill Day!!!!!! Have a great night all!!!!

hey all! i hope everyone is doing well :)

today was insanely busy for me. still not weighing or counting. and ended up having both mc donalds (for breakfast) and pizza hut (for dinner) today... not planned but we were so busy, then went to DH's parents' house for dinner... she usually makes healthy food, but ended up being worn out from watching the grandbaby and they ordered pizza instead (ended up getting 2 free pizzas because they messed up the order the first time told us to keep the pies, and got the other two)... so FIL sent a whole pizza home with us!

today we got accomplished:

at the dmv - change of address for myself and DH to my parents house as a permanent address, change of voter registration, change of name for me, and registered the new SUV.

at DH's bank - closed his account
at MY bank - deposited the check, changed the address, ordered checks

at the insurance office: changed my name, changed our address, added the hubby as a driver, added the new vehicle, changed phone numbers

at the doctor: got my final check up, told to take it easy for a while, got praised for taking some time off to let it heal before going back to work, and given a list of 'therapy' exercises to do for my ankle

at my parents' house: changed all the utility bills to my dad's name and address, changed the plates on the SUV, had a quick bite to eat, sat for a few minutes

then we went to the in-laws for dinner and relaxing, where i got to spend lots of time playing with my super adorable 2 year old nephew, who has two favorite phrases right now... which are "ready, go!" and "fall down"

then we came home and i burned several DVDs with wedding photos to hand out to family so they can make prints of their various family members.

really busy day, and this girl is tired! so we're gonna be old married people and go to bed early on a friday night so we can get up and pack some in the morning before we have to make more rounds for goodbyes.

good night everyone!

Thoroughly enjoyed my day today. I never made it to the gym but I'm okay with that. I got a great workout cleaning the kitchen and floors from top to bottom. I also ate well and did NO snacking. I cooked up a bunch of chicken last night and put it into little 3oz packages so I got LOTS of protein and ate very little sweet or fatty stuff. I am looking forward to the gym tomorrow though. I plan to get in a good strength AND cardio workout and follow that up with some quality time in the jacuzzi. My muscles are still QUITE sore and I want to be healed and ready for Monday night's BFC workout.

Nighty night lovely ladies. Talk to you all tomorrow!

OnaMi - Sounds like today was very...harmonious for you. Starting with your relaxing and fulfilling morning, nice compliment and great workout at Zumba, followed by an educational and worthwhile time at Yoga. It really sounds just about perfect. Yoga is definitely something I'm looking forward to incorporating soon, not sure when but definitely soon.

Diana -- From your mouth to God's ears honey! ;)

Rennie -- Eh, one meal ain't so bad. You've been doing great and IF you do see a gain, I'm sure it'll be small and you'll know what it is. You did great today woman!

Vixsin -- The BBQ sounds fun and hey, you gotta live a little every now and then. From the sound of it, you've been balancing everything quite well. Keep up the good work!

Mandy -- Wow! That was quite a busy day of errands. Going to bed early sounds like a good idea. Sorry today led to so much fast food but such is life...luckily a day like that is a rare occurrence.

I'm down .4 to 205 again today. We have a family BBQ today, but I'm bringing the extra lean beef burgers which I will make quite soon. I also have a mountain of laundry staring me down today...load one is in right now. Cameron and I are both down to our last 2 pairs of clean underwear, so it's got to happen today :D

Kukkie -- What a sucky load of baggage -- sorry!

Vixsin -- Great whoosh! Have a great time shopping today.

Diana -- Hmm...let me try that pic again...hope this one works :) Love that the internet at work fixed itself!

40170

Roxy -- Congratulations on your .6 yesterday -- I'm not sure I have the nerve to try the lemon/lime juice...but I might work up the courage to try it out tonight. The peanut soup sounds good, but oh so dangerous...I'm letting Cameron and Goliath finish ours. So excited for you about Sunday...still sending out all the positive vibes I've got.

Rennie -- I've re-attached the photo above...it's not a great shot, but I thought it was cute :) Cam is 6 and a half...7 in January. I'm not sure about my texting plan, but I think it should be okay. If you are on FB that works too, because I can get my FB messages sent to my phone. I'm totally in for this challenge -- let's move us both into the next decade. How about a 3 week deadline? Does that work for you? It will be a challenge for me because I haven't lost 2lbs a week in months. Good job on your .6 today :) I'm down .4 so we are both on the right track! Hey, every little bit on the treadmill helps. I haven't been on mine in a month. :(

Star -- Congrats on your drop today. I hear you on the expectations..in my head I really think I should be losing 10lbs per month, so less that that often leaves me feeling disappointed.

Jami -- Sounds like a fun night Thursday and a nice relaxing day Friday. Cam and I watched HP1 last night...it was great! I was so tired though I kept drifting off near the end. He spent the night in my bed and we both went to sleep at 10:00 -- longest nights sleep I've had in weeks. Good job on not snacking yesterday!

Ona -- Good for you on taking it easy this morning. Zumba and Yoga should be lots of exercise for today. I'm so happy to hear that yoga is working so well for you. Hmm...maybe I'll do my yoga DVD this morning. :)

Mandy -- Sounds like a jam packed day. When do you leave for your new home?

Jami,I think you'll love the stretching/breathing focus of yoga, especially w/all the stuff you're doing now :) read where you lifted 50 lbs :dizzy: is that 50 on each side? either way..wow I'm scare of you :D I'm just graduating to 5 & 5 on the bar and holding w/6lbs each on hand weight:o have a great day at the gym. thank you :)

Vixsin,you've been doing great :cp:

Rennie, that was sad about Pastor Tims :( Nah,Orlando(where his church was) is 3 hours away.I saw where they still have his sermons on the Word network. It's strange to look at old picture,shows,whatever..of someone after they died.. kill themselves, find out they were on drugs or however they died..and then think about what must have been going through their mind.Peace be with him :( Hang tough this weekend :sumo: ain't nothing to it but to do it :sumo: it's all mental.speak it and let it be so.you will not be defeated :sumo: thank you :)

Roxy, good luck tomorrow.:crossed: really pray everything works out for you and dH  you just can't be denied cause you're a lovely couple that wants to share that love w/a child :)

Diana  hope you enjoy your weekend :)

Angie  have a great weekend :)

WI @ 177.0 straight up today, jogging felt good this morning.I hate that i always start to feel really good, have a good sweat going, when I'm finishing-up and want to stay but can't cause i have other stuff to do :( Time for Zumba.then off to Mothers.Been a crazy week.when one thing go's wrong in the house seems like they come in waves :dizzy:

Good Morning All!!!!!

Rennie & Angie: What challenge are you two kids talking about? I think I'd like to do a challenge

Well not too much initial damage from last night's cookout. I'm down .4 today to 182.4. :yay:

The sun is shining and the plan for today is a little grocery shopping, and massive amounts of weed pulling (I'm going to have to take before and after pictures, my front yard looks awful. LOL), have some friends to come over and hang with my pups and take a look at my car. Grilling tonight for dinner at the same house we were at last night except way less people. LOL

Proud of myself for making here on a Saturday! I am going to try and get a run in today since I didn't get one yesterday.

Have a wonderful day all!!!

Ona -- Sounds like a bit of a rough week; I hope you get a nice relaxing weekend to balance it out. Enjoy your time with your mom today. I've got the 2nd load of laundry in the dryer now :) One more load of clothes and then on to the sheets! I've been putting off everything lately...I need to cut the grass too, it looks like a jungle in my front yard right now.

Vixsin -- Rennie noticed that she and I both had 6lbs to go to the next decade so we are having a 6lb challenge. I think we're going to try for 3 weeks, so 2lbs a week (which I haven't done in ages!!). You're more than welcome to join in.

LGW -- Great weigh in again for you today. You're doing great with managing restaurants. good luck with a caffeine free day!

Mandy -- Get out of here and go fill a box..lol. Not sure I could focus on dieting either with a big move coming up. Can't wait to hear about the trip and your new place. ETA -- Job 1 at the new place is setting up the computer right ?

I am the same today 166.8. All things considered, I think that right now that is a victory. We have the house ready for inspection and today we are working on the yard. I'm still kinda in panic mode and don't have time for personals. I'm not sure I will make it on here at all tomorrow. The social worker is supposed to get here at 12:30. So what are the terms, just sticking to our plans and getting our exercise? I think I am in on that. Hey, do you use MFP?

Also, I imagine there are a number of us who use facebook. I've got a few of you as my friends on there. I'm wondering if anyone else would like to stay in touch there as well. Geez, I am quite the poster today! LOL

I've been thinking about something, gang and I need your help/input on this.

I'm wanting to change my starting weight. When I started my journey here I was at 249 but my heaviest on record was 271. That was just before Maxwell was born. I have my heaviest weight documented by my license picture. so because of that, I am thinking about changing my starting weight to 271.

I don't feel that I'm being dishonest or trying to take credit for losing more than I did.

I would really love to hear your thoughts on this before I change anything.

Thanks guys!! :grouphug:

Vixsin -- About your starting weight, I say absolutely change it...that high number was part of the journey. I know the 2lbs per week sounds terrifying to me...I'll have to go back to phase 1 of my plan (just protein and veg) to pull that off.

About FB, I'm there, I love it. I'd love for any of you guys to add me. My name is Angie Linton and it's the one with the same pic as here. If you send a friend request you might need to tell me who you are on here if I won't recognize your pic or real name!

Sam -- Your evening sounds great. Enjoy yourself!

Diana -- Morning! Have a great weekend yourself!

Angie -- I like the laundry story. When I was younger, first out on my own. I owned SO MUCH underwear...and then I realized it was so I could delay my laundry as long as possible. I "think" I sent you a friend request on FB but the picture wasn't quite the same so I'm not positive. Hopefully it's you!

OnaMi -- I agree. There's a 5:30 am yoga class on Tues & Thurs at my gym - which just happens to be the opposite days as my BFC sessions so that just might actually work out perfect. I'm sorry about your computer and the AC and yes, things do seem to happen all at once huh?

Vixsin -- Great job Vix. Good luck getting your run in. I would love to have some of my 3FC ladies as friends on FB too! My name is Jami Villarreal. And HOW on God's green earth would changing your starting weight be ANYTHING like taking credit for losing more than you did?!?! You did lose it, right? Crazy lady! Change that number baby!

LGW -- Yes you are! Great job lady!

Mandy -- LOL! Yes, I imagine being packed by moving day would be a good thing...or so I've heard! ;)

Thanks guys!

I changed my start weight because I feel that it was those 20-ish pounds that I kept re-gaining and re-losing over 6 or 7 years finally brought me to the place that brought me here. So I gave credit to my journey here at 3FC since this is where the weight has truly come off and will stay off.

LOL Mandy 11:18pm is not early LOL ... maybe for you huh ;). You did have a busy day but I'll bet all that running around, in and out, up and down, burned some calories. Those are the days to eat out, you don't have enough time to sit and do nothing and allow the food to settle, it has to move :)

Thanks Jami, you are so sweet  enjoy that jacuzzi and don't do too much today, you want to be able to move after Monday. Hopefully after this week your body will let loose of some water weight and not be so sore :)
Jami that's great 20" down, I need to learn how to measure correctly. I know how they say to do it, but I have so many rolls it's hard to get it right :)

Sam good job on the .2 down :) have fun tonight :)

Diana good job on the 1.4lbs down :) Enjoy your Saturday :)

Angie good job on the .4 down :) LOL Angie I need to do laundry also ... never ending ;) I can see the picture now. That's a pretty big bag of nuts. You didn't eat that many. I let the nut fairy get me last night but these were salty/sweet so I probably only ate 3/4 of a cup if that. I got them from CVS *their brand and they weren't what I expected but ok I guess, since I didn't stop eating them. I had the boys juice me two lemons (they like doing it) but I couldn't drink it by itself, I added splenda and a little water, it still made me pucker up something awful. That's a picture I wouldn't want anyone to take ;) Three weeks is great. When do you want to start? I am back up the .6 today to 175.8 (whatever). ;) My baby is 7 she'll be 8 on 01/07. Angie tells Cameron thank you

Ona ... you know I always say the flesh is weak and the enemy is busy. Temptation is horrid as we all know too well. But we have to keep our mind stayed on Him and He will direct our path and give you peace. I'm done before I get in trouble on here. ... So far so good I think. I did have my (regular) pancake this morning, along with my zucchini/squash/onion omelet. Then I went to get my medium frappe from McD's and ate some microwave popcorn with my baby. But I think I am doing ok. My rings aren't tight they are finally spinning for a change. :) yes thank Him anyhow  You know that's the good thing about living in this subdivision when I see a truck in a neighbors driveway I start to think oh my here we go. We seem to all need the same things, months apart. Sad. Sorry about the your PC and the A/C I pray nothing is next and that this is it  Enjoy your day :) Ona since I have a few request from here regarding FB, I've decided that once we all accept each others friend request we can have our own group on there. My Dad's family has one and I like it because it's private just us on it and we don't have to deal with all of the nonsense on the regular wall. And it's a great way to keep in contact when this site is down. Anybody want to add me on FB let me know :)

Vixsin good job on the .4 down :)I'm grilling chicken today for the next two days. I think I do better with it, than anything else. Hope you get your run in, you're doing great :) .... 6lb challenge--I figure since Angie and I have about 6lbs to lose to make it to the next decade we can do a 6lb challenge together. So jump on in. Angie decided 3 weeks/two pounds a week ... can't wait to start (Angie are we starting now?) :cheer: guess I'd better stop eating this popcorn  Vixsin, I'm in for the FB group, I was gonna use MY 3FC Friends, but MY CHICKS is perfect. My starting weight was 195.6 or .4, but my heaviest was 220 and that's what I have under my avatar. Change it Vixsin :)

LGW good job on the .8 down. See persistence pays off :) I love fajitas  have a good one, see you later :)

Roxy, easier said than done I know, but just breathe  You will be fine and the house will shine when he walks in, can't wait to here how things go. That yard work should help relieve some of the tension also, makes way for good rest  Oh had the boys juice two lemons (they like to do it) but I had to add splenda and a little water. Still made me pucker like crazy but I drank it in two swallows. :)

eclipse :congrat: on your new low, YOU GO GIRL :cheer:

OK my weigh in this morning was 175.8 same as two days ago. Angie and Vixsin this is gonna be a toughy for me. I have been 170 something since last August I believe. But on a good note I was pooped this morning so I got back in the bed. I weighed in 2 hours later at 174.4. I like seeing those new numbers that haven't appeared for awhile.

See you all later

I don't feel like reading and deleting what I've already typed SORRY

Vixsin -- Good job Vixsin! I definitely think you did the right thing updating your starting weight. Now your ticker captures your ENTIRE journey. Great job!

Rennie -- I pushed myself a lil' on the elliptical but it felt good. This is the first time all week I've felt semi-normal with TOM finally here and my muscles feeling back to normal. On the measuring, I think it's almost more important that you did consistently rather than "right", that way you'll still see your losses even if the number aren't exactly correct.

Kukkie -- Great job girly!!!

Kukkie: great job

love2b: have you been attempting to maintain for the last year (which is great!!) or have you been attempting to get out of the the 170's over the last year?

jamisue: when you are exercising, it's the inches that matter most

Eclipse: congrats on the new low! I think I'm at an all time new low since 2009 -- but at 213 -- I still don't know how I got here :(

Vixsin: I'm actually on here now more than FB :)

Fitgirl: good luck :)

Angie: thanks...so far..so good...

I'm am loving my new healthy choices. I went to a place called SaladFarm today where they have as many salads as CF has chessecakes! Of course I had the fajita salad with extra veggies - not as good as the one I had last night - but delicious nonetheless.

What I thought was interesting, was how my co-worker (as small as she is) was fretting over calories and looking up the calorie counts online from her cell phone -- she really looked flustered at a place that really only had lettuce -- and I thought -- well there's salad, protein and veggies -- I'm good! It just felt great! :carrot:

I really cannot wait until the results are really noticeable, because individuals around me would have known that I did this stress-free, without many restrictions, ate a lot of different foods with variety, had decent amounts -- and still lost weight!! I'm actually watching the smaller people around me who are trying to maintain really struggle with their decisions.

Back from the BBQ. I ate a few things I hadn't planned on for sure...like apple crisp. I had a pretty active day so I'm hoping that will give me a little leeway. I'm on to phase 1 of my plan tomorrow. Think I'll have a leftover hamburger for breakfast :D

Jami -- That's an amazing amount of inches you've lost! Pfft...don't worry about the boobs...they would have looked out of place with your new smaller-all-over body ;)

Rennie -- Let's start tomorrow! I can't wait to get moving on this...I'm pretty excited to see us both in the next decade. I think I might go squeeze a lemon now too -- I love the mental picture of you trying to drink that...I'll probably be the same!

I just changed a setting on my new FB profile that will let you find me when you search my name...sorry if you tried earlier and weren't able, I didn't realize I had it set that way. :)

I had a planned higher calorie day. I am about 700 calories over what I normally eat on Saturday (Saturday is a higher calorie day for me, anyways). Anyways, I wanted to enjoy a little more food today since my weight has dropped some. Crazy thing is that when I show a gain it will probably aggravate me. Isn't that crazy?

JamiSue TTOM started, right? Some of that water weight should be leaving in a few days. Hang on. I know it's frustrating. Congrats on those inches! :bravo:

Jami I didn't do any exercise today just been a lazy day for me. I hate it when I get up later than usual. It throws my day out of whack. or maybe it's just my hubby being home in the mornings that I just don't want to do anything. idk, hummmm. I'm gonna take my measurements on Monday morning and see what they are. Good for you getting on the elliptical today, but don't over do it you want to be able to workout on Monday for the challenge. Hoping for a good weigh in for you :)

LGW I got out of the 170's last year (9/24 or 9/25 last year, I weighed in at 165.4 ... 30lbs down from my start on 3FC) then I got happy and screwed up. Then I started working over night and messed up even more. I have gotten down to 171 but then I bounce back up again. :( I desperately want out of the 170's like you wouldn't believe. I'm hoping this challenge that Angie, Vixsin and I are doing will give me that extra push and I can continue afterwards. We have Salad Creations here, I love the place and the salads are delicious but the more you add the pricier they get. It is interesting to see small people quock over what they eat, but now that we are talking about it maybe it's not so interesting or funny, maybe they are trying to maintain which may not be easy for them. Thanks LGW for that wake up. Never thought about it like that :) On FB I don't really go on there at all, but if Vixsin starts a group I will definitely keep up with that :) I've been on more today than I have in months.

Angie tomorrow sounds great. Hopefully it will still be the 6lb challenge for me and I don't go up since I didn't do a thing today, but sit and sit. Went to get school supplies that was it :nono: You wouldn't believe that face I made. I felt like a little child taking some nasty medicine :D. I have a little left to drink now, this stuff is awful. :blah:

Nope Diana not crazy at all. We all eat a higher calorie meal knowing that it's gonna have some affect, talk about it the day/night before and come here the next day to rant and rave because we are aggravated about what we already knew the day before ... so we are all little crazy  Well I can only speak for me because I know I am at times ;) thanks Diana I did and rest isn't the correct word, just down right lazy today :D Hope you got some rest today also.

OK good night everyone ...

Angie and Vixsin hoping we have great weigh ins tomorrow to start our challenge off with a BANG :D

You know, I discovered something today. I went through my notes of past months focusing on comments about any exceptional losses or gains and I found something! So last week I lost 6lbs, right? And then this week, I've gained 7lbs. That EXACT same thing happened to me in April with TTOM. Exactly! One thing in common between this time and last, aside from TTOM. So April was right when I FIRST started going to the gym. So a big physical change, right? Well, this week, I started that gym challenge. Maybe this is a normal occurrence for me under drastically altered physical conditions. Things that make you go hmmmm. :) It'll be interesting to see if it happens again sometime. Though I've got my :crossed: that it doesn't. ;)

LGW -- Thanks and you are definitely right. Losing inches is an amazing thing and means that all this yucky fat is slowly being replaced with beautiful muscles.

Angie -- Oh good. I thought I was crazy 'cause I couldn't find you. LOL! Sounds like you did pretty good at the BBQ even with the apple crisp. Good job!

Diana -- I know huh? Why are we so crazy like that? And yes, on day 2 of TTOM. Shoo water...don't bother me. ;)

Rennie -- Oh you didn't? That's okay, we can't exercise everyday...unless you're Roxy! LOL! Hoping for a loss tomorrow too...would nice for a change. LOL!

Court -- Sorry about the camping issues. I love camping and know how frustrating it can be with glitches. Good luck on the hike tomorrow. Sound intense!

Late check in for me tonight. Dinner with my friend and her daughter tonight. grilled chicken breast and grilled kielbasa again tonight. I also had some corn and 2 spoons of packaged chicken rice  I'm not sure if I drank enough today but I definitely was moving around. No formal exercise though. :( Hopefully, I'll get up relatively early tomorrow and I'll get a run. :crossed:

If I get a little gain tomorrow, I'm not going to sweat it. lunch with another friend and her boys. I'm going to bring some broccoli slaw with me and she's all about grilling too. We may end up doing that for lunch. LOL

Definitely going to be focused on my water tomorrow!

Nite All!

CAFFEINE ALERT  this is by no means an excuse; however, my co-worker suggested 1/2 light SB double shot and skim milk instead of coffee...I'm only trying it because it is my last 28h...I've been sipping on it all night

I will say that I have tried to decrease my soda intake. For my last 2 outings I have had sparkling water with lime and I dusted off my water pitcher and put it in the refridgerator with lemon cubes :)

I'm really going to see if I can cut the soda -- I know it's just empty calories -- and I know the only requirement for water is thirst -- but I just think I drink waaaayyyy too much soda on a regular basis. It would be nice to just treat myself to a diet soda when I'm out instead of EVERY SINGLE TIME I'm thirsty :)

OK..11 more hours to go...things have quieted down so I'm going to get some of my morning duties out of the way and try to take a "frequently interrupted" nap (I'm KNOCKING ON WOOD REALLY HARD RIGHT NOW)

Morning all. Well, a had a big bounce up this morning...up 1.8 to 206.8 -- hmph. I read an interesting article/blog type thing yesterday about these wild bounces...I'll try to find it again and post it here in a bit...but it explained why we see these big water ups and downs sometimes, particularly for those of us doing low carb. ETA: Found it! Here is an explanation about water weight vs. fat weight (http://www.phlaunt.com/lowcarb/19058097.php)and low carb dieting.

Diana -- Our dog's name is Goliath, he is a 9 year old Jack Russell, he was my baby before I had a baby :) I think your plan for the higher calorie day worked, you had a great meal and you are still below your range!

Rennie -- I'm going to have it call it an 7.8 lb challenge now..lol after yesterday I had a big gain, but I know 100% that it's water, so I will have a nice whoosh sometime soon. I did drink the juice of one lemon last night..added a little water and a little splenda to help wash it down. I also put in a bit of ice so it wasn't too bad. I sipped at it for about 10 minutes until it was gone. It didn't seem to work though...I'll be sure to work some asparagus into my day today too. I'll try to get back on the exercise train today...I need to get my butt moving again.

Court -- Hope you had a great time on your camping trip. The hike sounds awesome.

Jami -- Good insight to how your body reacts! The BBQ did more damage than I anticipated, but I'm ready for some whooshiness now. :D

LGW -- A little caffeine can't hurt too much. Great idea to cut back on the soda. I would say that 90% of the time I drink water, and the other is a blend of coffee/tea/diet soda.

Kukkie -- Looking forward to seeing you cross back over the line to ONEderland!!

Thanks for the cheers Diana  sorry about the up this morning

Cutie sorry about the technicalities with the camper. Wow a ten mile hike. I'd like to do that one day, sounds like fun. Happy Anniversary, see you Tuesday :)

Jami it great to be able to go back and re-visit the old stats and figure out some things. Except when like me I figured out that this time last year i weighed the same as this year. But the good news to that is a month later I was down 10lbs. Don't think that will happen but it sure would be nice ;)

ROXY ... SENDING PRAYERS AND GREAT THOUGHTS YOUR WAY  Can't wait for you to check in ... I'm excited :)

Vixsin I love your weekends, glad you're having a good time :)

LGW how does that taste? a double shot is pretty strong isn't it? Seems that it would make you crash quicker, but I'm no expert. I know too much caffeine makes me tired. I did buy a Pepsi Max this morning after church though. All the talk about them made me want soda. Bloom had the new 1.5 litre for $1.19. I thought not bad since it'll take me forever to finish it :). Hope you got some rest

Sam glad the party went well. Good job on the .2 down, get some rest today  My kids have helped me so many times, then they look at me like duh, Mommy didn't you know ... had I known, would I have asked ;)

:congrat: Kukkie on a weekend well done  good job on the .6 down :)

Angie sorry about the up this morning. We can change it to the 7.8lb challenge, the more gone the better :) I'm not sure how the lemon water actually works but just like LGW I have had a gain the morning after sometimes. It does take a while to drink it. I try to turn it up and not think about it, blah ;). I have only had asparagus once as a child at my Grannie's and I hated it. Do you buy it fresh and steam it? Do you eat it at a certain time of the day? I don't feel like exercising today either. When I came home from church my neighbor was just finishing her walk. I wish she would have waited so I could have walked with her ... but oh well. I drink more water than anything, seems other things make me thirty. I guess that's a good thing :) thanks Angie I'm in on fb ;)

Coondocks, wow you've have a time, but it sounds that for the most part you had a good time. Sorry about the bumps and bruises along the way. Glad you're back my friend

eclipse you are really doing your thing here, :congrat: on the new low :)

Ona hope you check in after church

I am down .8 to 175.0. LGW I had a cup of grits this morning, so good. Thanks for bringing them up. I didn't know until today that grits are a sodium free food but high in carbs 29g. Oh well can't win them all.

I'm just taking a quick break from my housecleaning, not sure why I decided to do this serious overhaul today, but it's at least looking good so far. It's such an exhaustive task though, that I think I might just cross off the elliptical for the day. Or maybe I'll try and get a few minutes in later.

Angie believe me, I am soo looking forward to crossing back over into Onederland and staying there once and for all!

Good morning!

Seven 28h shifts this month -- DONE! and in case you didn't realize, I worked 11h shifts on all the other days and only had 4 days off this month! I did all this with 3 meals a day and no snacks, even over night! Thanks for hanging in there with me and keeping me motivated! I did it!! :carrot:

so my post-breakfast-after 1-hour-sleep sneak peek was 213.8 -- same as yesterday -- probably should have waited until I took my nap -- per my stats, my WI after my post-28h nap will be my next day's WI? no matter how much more or less I eat --

BTW I was 222 on the first day of this crazy shift and ended at 213.8!!!!! 8.2 lbs loss after all those up and downs...:carrot: Now that I added it up, I cannot believe how much I complained!!!

Thanks guys! Going to sleep and will be back to catch up later!

 So my low this month was 8 days ago at 251.8 and here I am today...up 8lbs from that. This is beyond strange and I just wish I understood what was going on. My clothes aren't getting tighter and as I shared before, I've lost a bunch of inches. The scale just isn't making any sense. :dizzy:

Vixsin -- Your dinner last night sounds great and lunch today sounds fun too. Yep, sounds like a great weekend overall!

LGW -- Giving up the full soda is probably a good idea in general but you've been doing great even with it and I would imagine you kind of gotta do what you gotta do to get through those crazy shifts of yours. So, I don't know...just do what feels right for you and it'll be perfect.

Sam -- I'm glad you wore out your dancing shoes last night. Good for you!

Diana -- Your gain this morning actually seems pretty reasonable considering your planned higher calorie day and look at you...still below your range. GREAT job Diana!

Kukkie -- Nice job girly!!

Angie -- Yea, it did help a little to know that this might be somewhere in the realm of normal to me but even with the inches lost I am admittedly still frustrated with the continuing gains on the scale. Just wish I understood...:?: But yes, I'm with you. VERY ready for some whooshes right now. And thanks for setting up that group on FB.

Sam -- I loved what you said about DD coming to rescue to explain the FB feed. That was too cute.

Coondocks -- Holy smokes girl welcome back!! Sorry about the all drama and happy for the good times even if you're suffering a bit now. Just glad to have ya back!

Jeri -- You are rocking it girl! I keep watching your lil' ticker edge closer and closer to goal!

Rennie -- Beans and/or chicken usually work pretty good to fill my belly up and keep my hands out of the other snackies!

Roxy -- I am so happy to hear that things have gone well so far. I'm just so excited and hopeful for you and your DH!

Great day! I did an overhaul on Cameron's room, cleaned, rearranged and did some minor redecorating -- I had picked up a , new comforter for him, and a new body pillow. His room is still painted as it was when he was 6 weeks old, but about 2 yrs ago I had put up big Spiderman decals. Now it's time for Spidey to go, and we will slowly transform to a skateboard/snowboarding room. I wanted to get it all tidy and clean so that I can send him away with my mom and aunt for a weekend and do all the painting. He doesn't know what I'm planning and I think he will be blown away.

Anyway, that was my activity for today. I ate on plan and I'm at about 1000 calories right now. I'm thinking of having something, but can't decide what to eat so I'm holding off for now.

Coondocks - Welcome back (again, I posted on the thread you linked)!

Jeri -- Congratulations on your new low...very close to your next goal

Rennie -- I either steam the asparagus (in the microwave actually) or I toss it in olive oil and grill it. It's nice on the grill, but I really like it steamed too. I prefer it at about medium tenderness...not too crisp, not too soft. Darnit, I wish you lived closer, we could be walking buddies. I couldn't convince Cameron to go bike riding with me today and didn't want to ask my mom to watch him while I went on my own. Congrats on your .8 today -- you're already moving close! Hope you made it through the snacky feelings alright.

Kukkie -- Must be something in the local air today...I was a cleaning bee too.

LGW -- Great job on losing 8.2 lbs through this crazy month at work!!

Roxy -- I'm so glad to hear that round 1 went well! What was it like? (If you feel like sharing...)

Jami -- I think it has to be water held in your muscles...somethings got to give soon with the way you've been working out.

I think I'm in a little better head space now and I want to join you for the last part of the month, if that's all right. :) I've been reading every day, but not posting. We'll see... it might get to be too much again. I go back and forth about posting my daily weights. Funny thing is that I weigh every day no matter what, I just don't know what the stress is about posting it! Haha!

So,

Aug 1st: 251.8 - That was a shock, let me tell you. That's 16lbs from my low, yikes!!

Aug 21st: 243.8

I'm still up from my low, but I'm making my way in the right direction again. :D

Jami I'm so sorry. I know you are gonna have a great whoosh soon, I wish I could tell you when. I know this is frustrating but the article you posted kind of enlightened me, even though I don't do low carb. :goodvibes: for a better weigh in soon. Maybe talk to the trainer at the gym tomorrow, see what their input is on it. I ate the bean and it still wasn't enough. Look on MFP at what I ate today, just a mess ... I'm such a big kid. Need my Mommy to tell me "NO". :D

got on the treadmill when my hubby went for dog food. I did 1.75 miles 30:46 minutes (put 31 minutes on MFP)

OK I forgot to post this so now I'm adding that I messed up big time, scale said 179.6 when I got out of the shower, nooooooo. I did fine until I sat down with the family for dinner, then I had a 1/2 cup of peas, 3/4 of a biscuit and then kept sticking my hand in the cashews during the end of Titanic, not good (shaking my head)

Hi Everyone!

I was out and about most of the day. Sorry about not coming back to do personals. :( I might show another gain tomorrow. I didn't space my food out very well. I ate lunch and dinner too late. I also had a large volume of food late. My calories are good, though. It will take a day to regulate since I ate so late.

Great NSV LGW, you go Girl :high: Yay you in your baggy jeans, love that top BTW ;)

Aw Angie what a great surprise MOM  I'm sure he'll be overjoyed when he sees it. Nope Angie see my post above about my stupidity. I definitely expect a gain in the morning . I blew my treadmill time totally away, it was pointless (shaking my head). I wish we lived closer also. My sodium is over by 357mg, my calories are over by 46 according to MFP but I like to go by what it should be and that would put me over by 296. My water is the only thing that is great today 104ozs.

Gale you've done great this month even if it's not your low. Post your weight when you want. Whatever feels right and whatever is good for you  as always I'm glad you're here

Me too Diana on the gain :)

Welcome back Gale!

Rennie -- The time on the treadmill wasn't lost, that time helped to keep your net calories lower today...so that's great. Don't beat yourself up over the cashews...nuts to them :lol2: I'm pretty excited about the bedroom project. I'm buying things for it bit by bit so I won't blow my seriously tight budget -- I ordered wall decals from Ebay, and I'm going to have a faux brick wall, his skateboard and snowboard will hang on the walls..and maybe an old style aluminum garbage can for a laundry hamper. :)

Diana -- Full day, full belly..lol. Maybe the busy day will negate the close meals. See you in the morning!

Angie that sounds great. I'm gonna change things around in here when my baby leaves for boot camp, haven't decided on decor or themes yet though. But I may just let them tell me what they want and then see if I like it and say yay or nay ;)I love ebay, I also get things off freecycle which is even better (free) ;)

I'm curious about something. I always mention that I am a big eater. Is anyone else here a big eater, too? I literally have to eat a lot of veggies/low calorie foods to fill up. I am happy with my foods, so there's no problem there. I'm just one that isn't happy with a small amount of food. Most people will be happy with a small serving of fettuccine with alfredo. I'm not happy with that. I have to have a large serving of spaghetti squash/broccoli slaw/zucchini with alfredo sauce. I know we all eat differently. :dunno: Sometimes I just feel weird because of how much I eat.

love2b150

Diana I think I am a big eater, but because I lack self control I measure everything. Especially pasta. I can eat a full dinner plate of pasta as well as a loaf of bread. Where you have the discipline to fill up on veggies I don't.

Quick check in: I was watching the weather channel. Hmm, things are not looking good with the current hurricane forecast. Natural disasters are a total PITA! We have plenty of water, about 10 cases. I need to buy some more food. I will buy a few things between now and Wednesday. Wednesday is my appointment with the allergist. Hopefully I will find out one way or another if I am allergic to nuts/legumes. That makes all the difference in what I can eat. I can see us in the middle of a natural disaster and then my allergic reactions getting worse because I am eating mostly what I am allergic to. Ack!

Good morning lovely ladies!

Starbrite - I hope your day gets better. It's no fun to start the day grumpy. :(

I'm keeping Mandy, Diana and all of our other east coast 3FCers in my prayers with this hurricane, I hope you all stay safe!

I am doing the happy dance this morning! :carrot: I haven't weighed in yet (I'll wait til after my workout, it's always a happier number ), but I am celebrating a POP weekend! No binge and I didn't go over my calories at all, I was even a few under on Friday and Sunday. I made lemon bars for DH to take to work and was totally content with the 1/2 bar that fit within my calories yesterday. :D

Here's to a good week for all of us! I'll BBL with my weigh in.

'Morning ladies.

Must have been something in the air last night, I didn't get enough sleep either. WI at 203.7, which is up 2.2. I felt quite "backed up" this morning though. I think TOM is also gone, but left its baggage.

Just wanted to share that we lost our official opposition leader this morning to cancer. He was arguably one of the most charismatic and well-respected political leaders I've ever seen and he will be missed :(

I hope all of you in or around areas of the hurricane are doing okay and staying safe. My thoughts and prayers are with you

I am 166.4 again. I have not gained during all the stress, so I am not even close to complaining about staying the same. As for what the homestudy was like, yesterday's visit was pretty fast and simple. He asked us some questions, most of which we had already answered in our paperwork, and went more in depth with a few of them when he found the answers interesting or confusing. We talked about what type of kids we are hoping to have placed with us and whether we wanted strictly adoption or would be open to fostering. He asked to see the house, the yard, and the storage building. He seemed to like the house and was a little bit pleasantly surprised that we already have beds for kids. I was a bit disappointed that he thought the room we tried so hard to make gender neutral was girly, but it is decorated with wall stick-ons and curtains from wal-mart, so very easy to change if it needs to be, we didn't want to go to crazy since we have no idea what the children we end up with might like. He is apparently in love with our storage building (it looks like an old wooden shack style house, it's very cute). He says that next week he will need to see each of us alone and that the other one needs to actually leave the house, not just go to the next room, so that is a little nervous making, but I'm sure we will get through it just fine. He said that there will only be 3 visits, so we are thinking that the lady who told us 4 was counting the sessions with each of us alone as separate, but he plans to do them both on one day. We were also expecting the next visit to not be for a couple weeks or more, so him coming back next week could mean that the whole thing is going to be finished very soon.

Vixsin - I think you did the right thing changing your start weight. I was already down about 20 or 30 (not sure) when I found 3FC, but I still listed my highest known weight because that is where I started.

Jami - Wow! You are an inch losing queen!

LGW - Maybe your co-worker who was fretting over calories has had a weight problem before or has a family history of it? Maybe you could have a friendly chat with her sometime where you each talk about how you manage your food plans. She may prefer doing it that way, but she may also not have ever actually thought about it and realized that she has options. Congrats on your 8.2 pounds down and also on your jeans NSV!

Rennie - The 170s were so hard for me to get out of. I did it once last year and then I got a stressful job with long hours and gained back about 25 pounds. Now that I have recently gotten back out of the 170s again I still worry that they will come back to haunt me some more, but I am doing my best to not let that happen. I got out twice, so you can too!

Coondocks - I'm glad to see you back. Wow, you really have had an eventful life recently. I'm glad that your ambulance trip and your grandfather's walk did not turn out worse than they did. I think the panic phone for him is a great idea, I didn't even know you could make a phone call 5 people with 1 button. I'm sorry the food there was not what you would have liked, but back to plan now. I hope your shoulder is feeling better soon.

Angie - I think your surprise room redecorating idea is awesome. We did a surprise job for my ex's son once and it was wonderful.

Gale - You are making awesome progress back towards your low. And we are always happy to have you. Huge congrats for your POP weekend! :carrot:

I am up a random .8 this morning to 183.8. TOM's due in on Friday. I think he's trying to send his water early. Honestly though, I can only imagine what the gain could've been if I wasn't drinking so much yesterday. I got up THREE times last night to pee! :yikes: LOL I don't care though, I am going to stick to my plan like glue and fight back with the water. I'm gonna fight him hard this month. Hey Ladies!! I'm back from vacation! A day early, which is good since I have a mountain of laundry, and lots of sleep to catch up on! Vacation was good, my birthday sucked, the BF left me alone in a city I haven't really been to before, so I got to spent my entire day alone. Sucky boyfriend. Anyways! Got on the scale this morning, DOWN .7?? AND TOM is starting today, I'm thinking it might bounce up tomorrow. Either way, I made out pretty good! Yay, I'm back in the negative this morning. Although, I WI about 2hrs later than usual so I'm not sure if it's a "real" loss yet but I'll take anything at this point. ;) I actually started feeling under the weather yesterday evening so I decided to get a little crazy and call in sick. :p Funny how much better one more day off can make me feel. I am also gearing up for round #3 of my BFC tonight. And yes, I AM taking my suit and sitting in that hot tub after the workout. Some quiet time in that hot tub after what will surely be another grueling workout. :D

LGW -- Woo hoo! Those baggy jeans are music to my ears! ;) Your month is turning out great. Keep up the good work girly!

Angie -- The room decoration sounds like fun! I think we're just about there my lil' guy too. He turn 3 in September and we're toying with some ideas to "big boy" trick his room out. He is definitely going to be "blown away" and excited to see his new room! Good luck! Congrats on an OP day yesterday.

Gale -- You are doing great! Just do what you can and stay involved at whatever level works for you. No pressure sista! You're doing great so just keep it up! And yea on your POP! :carrot:

Rennie -- That article was pretty good but Angie's actually the one that posted it. I REALLY learned a lot about water retention too. I know what you mean about how nice it would be to have someone around to "help" us out along the way. Good job getting on that treadmill yesterday! Nice late night snack last night too!

Diana -- Eating late like that definitely happens every now and then. At least is usually a rare occurrence. And yea, I'm a big eater too. The only way I can eat "small" is if I've eat ALL DAY! LOL. ;) But look at that! No change today after all. I really hope the hurricanes don't end up hitting land. Take care Ms. Diana!

Sam -- I love that you use the word "cross." We only hear it when we watch Thomas the Train! ;) Oh yea, and sorry you're still sleepy though. Take care today!

Kukkie -- Sorry TOM left it's baggage behind. I'm sure it'll all flush away soon! And really sorry to hear your official opposition leader.

Roxy -- Great job staying on track with EVERYTHING you've had going on! That is TRULY a miracle! And wow, that interview process sounds pretty in depth but I guess that's good to know. And yes, you guys are going to do just fine!

Vixsin -- I know what you mean about TOM always screwing up the end of the month. I am fighting hard to recoup all though numbers I've lost because of it myself! You CAN do it too!!

Aimee -- Welcome back woman! I'm REALLY sorry about your birthday and that sucky BF! Nice job staying on top your weight loss while vacationing. You are amazing!

Diana and Mandy sorry no I hadn't been. I take it, it was headed towards SC?

Sam sorry about the lack of rest/sleep

Diana sorry about the lack of sleep/rest  Are you having a lot of storms down there? Did you live there when Hugo hit?

Hi Ona good to see you  how was your weekend?

Way to go Gale ... I need to get on board with you on the POP weekends and week days too ;) Good job on the pound down :)

Kukkie sorry about your lack of rest/sleep  Also sorry to hear about your political leader.

Roxy that sounds great. I can't wait to hear about the next visit. Men seem to be able to point out the feminine side of things quickly, I'm sure the room was fine. Does your husband like it? Did he help you to choose what's already up? Thanks on getting out of the 170's ... I have only gotten below once so hopefully the next time I'll keep on going :crossed:

Vixsin sounds like my night most nights. That's right tell TOM where you stand, you go Girl :high:

LGW good job on the pound down and all of your NSV's :) Wow lady :congrat: on meeting your mini goal, you are just a woman of victories :)

Matilda I want a new scale but I am afraid of the same thing happening. I would be devastated I know. Maybe take your scale with you next weekend and you can see the difference on both. Then you'll no what to subtract when you get home. Just a thought. ... I got on the analog scale at the dance studio before Zumba once and it had me at 5lbs less than my scale with all of my clothes on and all I had had was a slim fast, yogurt and water that morning. I'd like that scale for sure. :) Come to think of it my doctors scale was always 3lbs less than mine also. humm maybe I should go to Walmart and hop on a bunch of scale (silly I know) ... OK sorry I moved over into my own little world :D

Aimee good to see you  good job on the .7 down after vacation, woohoo :) Sorry about your birthday and your bf leaving you in an unknown city, I would hate that also. I've done 3 loads today I have one left. I picked up that cleaning bug that was going on in here this weekend. Cleaned one level, will do the other tomorrow (the basement is all exercise stuff so it stays straight).

Jami see I told you, good job on the 1.3lbs gone and more to come :high: Hope tonight isn't too strenuous

oops Thanks Angie for the article :) Woohoo, partner on the 1.2lbs gone :)

Diana in looking at the weather seem we are safe until Friday/Saturday. Be safe my friend.

Angie I'm ok on calories but ridiculously over on sodium. Last month when my calories were 1700 one day and 2000 the next day I gained .8 the following day. So we'll see. Sign up on MFP just so you can read my food journal every day and tell me what you think. I'm open to comments from everyone. :)

I have planned out my meals for tomorrow, minus my dinner. I'm making a roast in the crock pot with onion, carrots, green beans and potatoes. I have no idea what the calories will be, oh and a biscuit ;)

3 hours and 10 minutes ... where are you all????
