Do you have one? Something small that you can eat that kills your cravings for something that you want but you know you don't need?
For me it's sharp cheddar cheese. When I'm craving chips (which is what I usually crave) I cut a little square out of a block of sharp cheddar cheese and nibble on it.

I'll eat yogurt if I'm craving ice cream. Mostly because after eating a half a cup of plain yogurt, having more of that similar texture/flavor starts to seem very unappealing.
I keep grated cheese (20 cals/tbsp) around and sprinkle a couple tbsps on my food when I'm craving the saltiness of cheese. Usually nips that one.

If I am craving chocolate I have a piece of Dove dark chocolate or one of the new Fiber One 90 calorie brownies.

I absolutely do not have a food that's a craving killer! I wish! Any kind of food at that point is like a gateway drug :). It's a problem...
My craving killers are more like coming on 3FC, running, getting out of the house, making a phone call, or basically distracting myself from food with ANYTHING!!!

I'm like tuende - I just try to stay on track by visiting 3FC and reminding myself why I'm doing this and if I have enough calories I might indulge a little.
I do really like those fiber one brownies. I have to lay off them a bit though because I don't want to get tired of them!

Yep, roasted almonds with sea salt help with salty cravings, and Fiber One 90 calorie brownies and bars help with chocolate cravings! Other than that, lots of water helps to fill up too and super cold ice water sometimes kills a craving for me :)

My "craving killers" tend to be minty things. Not really a food, but mostly like brushing my teeth, or chewing a piece of gum, or rinsing with some mouthwash.
Having that freshly minty breath tends to make the thought of any other flavor unpalatable.

When I want something salty/crunchy, pickles tend to do the trick rather than opening a bag of chips.

I only crave when I'm actually hungry, so filling things like sunflower seeds or red kidney beans work well for me. Oddly, cherry/grape tomatoes work too.

When I feel mindlessly snacky, I have 5 olives or a couple dill pickle spears. Something about the salt and total overpowering taste of either of those items satisfies me in a weird way (even if I want sweet).

I also like olives- they feel really indulgent and fatty but aren't really bad if you can limit yourself. I get the fancy kind, usually with pits, to eat them more slowly.
Coffee is a big craving killer for me. A tbsp of ff coffee mate and some sf vanilla syrup makes it feel like a treat and kills a sweet tooth.
Lately, I've been trying to have more bulky, protein filled snacks, which seems to be helping with cravings. I've been doing a Tbsp. of hummus (35 cal), lots of veggies like cherry tomatoes and bell pepper sticks for dipping (just a couple of cal.), a couple pieces of Melba toast (60 cal for 3), and then 1.5 oz of cubed, grilled, cold chicken (maybe 40 cal). Sometimes I'll add a couple of olives or pickles to the plate for a few extra calories. It looks pretty and really fills you up for around 150 cal.
I also can't say enough good stuff about my George Foreman grill. It heats up really quickly, and cooks stuff faster than the microwave and food tastes delicious! Several times, I've found myself feeling snacky and cut up a zucchini and grilled it with a little garlic powder and salt and pepper. It is wonderful and like 20 calories. Grilled zucchini with hummus is also delicious!!

these things help me get thru a craving:
1) Big Red gum
2) a Dill pickle
3) a couple slices of protein (turkey, ham, etc.)
4) large glass of water
sometimes I just give in to the craving (that mostly happens during Psycho Cycle) if I can stay within my caloric limit
and sometimes I just don't worry about it. life's too short to be so crazy-strict on yourself all the ding-dang time. :dizzy:

If I am craving sweets, I go for a 40 calories, no sugar added fudge pop. Totally satisfies my chocolate craving.
If I am craving anything else, like I am "Hmm...I want food" but I know I am not hungry, I just have to force myself out of the kitchen. Play with the kid, go outside, etc. I usually start craving food before dinner, so if that happens, I will just start making dinner 15 or 20 minutes earlier and tell myself food is on the way, lol,

A slice of sharp cheddar works for me as well. It's only 80 cals. If that isn't enough, cheese plus a veggie like cucumber. That usually does the trick, even when craving sweets.

on my plan, you have 2 tbs of oat bran a day (different from oatmeal, although you can make it into a porridge, or you can make a pancake with it, which is REALLY tasty). That is the only grains you have, all the other carbs come from veggies and low/no fat dairy.
They suggest having some extra oat bran if you have cravings, and I found that really works well for me, esp. when I started off. At this point, almost 12 weeks in, I really don't have cravings any more - although a great thing about this plan is that the food choices are limited, but the amounts are not. So any time I am hungry, I can eat something, as long as it's on plan.
