I'm down 3lbs to 205 :)
I lost 4 pounds this week. Don't ask how. Nothing changed except I was on a different pain medication - just for one week though. It was SUPPOSED to make me gain weight. But it didn't!!! :) I made my Valentine's goal early!!!!! ---- and I've made it now to 90.5 pounds lost!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats to Jennelle for making her goal !! :bravo:
Go Sandi! That's great work!
Snowball - I do believe I'm catching up to you!!! I am at least following in your footsteps. You are an inspiration! :)
Congrats to Raelynn, Kittymilk, and fractured miss!!!! :balloons:

Wow Jeanne , only 14.5 pounds to go! How does that feel? What are you planning on doing once you get there? You should think ahead and start making a plan, going to be a big change when you move over to maintaining instead of dieting. Your doing great, well done!
01-22-2003, 09:46 AM
Two more pounds down :) I'm now in the 230's!! Okay, 239, but it's still in the 230's! I haven't seen those numbers since fall of 2001.
239 and feeling fine (Homer Simpson)
So proud of everyone here doing so great!
01-22-2003, 09:47 AM

everyone else has been doing so well, i hate to be the parade-rainer. but i'm just really dissapointed. :sorry:
i was very excited about my weigh in today. it had been a week. i've been on plan all week. eating healthy. i exercised everyday. i hadn't lost since mid december, and i was ready for it.
i gained a pound. i'm at 222. i'm just so exasperated. i mean, other times i've gained, i can pinpoint where i went off. the day i binged. or that i'd been lazy. but NOT THIS TIME!!
david has 4 theories. can you let me know what you guys think?
the first is, i am on my period. started this weekend. how much do you guys gain then?
second is, i've started light weightlifting. :barbell: could i have possibly gained muscle?
third, that when i'd been doing the bike, i wasn't working hard enough.
fourth, that i'm not eating enough. (i say at 1200 most days)
i'm trying not to get too upset, to avoid eating all these things: :cookie: :m: :burger: :chockiss: :jeno: but i don't know what to change.
01-22-2003, 04:56 PM
I am down two this week!
So, that's 9 total :cb:
Gonzo, I'd say the period thing is for sure it!! If you're only up one now, by the time it's gone I would guess you'd be down 2!! No worries. If you've been OP, you're good to go! Sometimes it just takes the scale a few days to catch up.

Well, I'm trying to get back into the swing of things, I was at the doctor yesterday with my daughter (who has pink eye) and weighed my self and was 275. I am at the beg. of my TOM so I account for a little there. But I am now back on track and ready to go.
Hi Kittymilk! It feels great to answer your question and I'm planning little things that will eventually add up to a makeover - hair, eyebrows, contact lenses, new eyeglasses, ears pierced maybe, new clothes.

Holly - I would definitely chalk a pound up to PMS water weight. I bet you lose it and more next week.
01-22-2003, 11:22 PM
I'll bet it's water retention. (Had a long bout of that myself a month or so ago). Hang in there and STAY AWAY FROM SALT!
01-23-2003, 01:21 AM
thank you guys. i've gotten comments on this journal and my diaryland one, PM's, and generally lots of encouragement. i'm not giving up, and i'm taking everyone's suggestions to heart.
i'm really glad i have you guys.
Wow, you guys are doing so well! I gained again this week, so I'm up two pounds in two weeks :( This week I deserved it, though (had almost as many bad days as good days).
Congrats to all!! I'm not posting cuz this is not a weigh-in week for me.
Gonzo/Holly ... definitely time-of-month gain. That's one of the reasons I'm weighing every two weeks ... it won't be as noticable. I can gain 3-4 pounds of water!!! PMS for me consists mainly of SALT cravings, which of course leads to water retention and discomfort. eeek!!

Gained 1 pound this week & feeling pretty blue about it. Don't know what my problem is. I was pretty much on plan the entire week. :(
Hoping it will go back down next week.
01-24-2003, 02:04 PM
OK, I've gained again. Back to 205.5. I keep losing and gaining the same 1.5 pounds. I guess that it's not too bad, as I've been very anti-diet, anti-exercise, and anti-healthy eating lately.
01-26-2003, 03:53 PM
Gosh this is inspirational to read all the losses and relate to the struggles. I am at 238, a slow crawl for sure.
Gonzo, I did weights for awhile and definately gained muslce mass. The additional muscle helped my aerobic workouts become more effective though. When I am pms-ing, I can be up 5 pounds.
01-27-2003, 02:08 AM
Down 3.5!!!!! Plus it's TOM, so maybe even a bit more!!! That is a total of 6.5 since 1/1/03!!! Not sure if I'll make my Valentine's Day goal of 12 lbs, but this definitely helps!!!
