Because I went on vacation, had a few too many delicious drinks and cups of gelato and gained 7 lbs (but I also started TOTM while on said vacation - I KNOW! - so hard to tell yet how much was water retention vs actual gain) that needs to go away ASAP.

Because a year ago I was over 350 lbs and wearing a 26/28.

Because it's my birthday month (the 25th), I'm going into the last year of my 20's and I'm having a pool party so I want to look and feel awesome!

I'm into really short term reasons this month - with out of town family visiting me this weekend for a great free out door Jazz and Blues festival and DD visiting all next week for a family wedding next weekend, I'm just trying to stay on track and hold my own. So . . .

I'll stay on plan today because today will be the easiest day out of the next 11 days! One day / meal / choice at a time will really come into play now!

I'm posting tonight for tomorrow because I will probably be too busy to get on here. My brother and SIL are coming in from out of town and we'll be enjoying a great 2 day Jazz and Blues fest here in town. Out of doors, free, and lots of great music.

I will stay on plan on Saturday because it's the company you keep not the food you eat that makes an event enjoyable. I just hope the sausage sandwiches with onions and peppers that the vendors sell don't call my name too loudly! (My favorite "carnival" food of all time.)

Because the siren song of the sausage with peppers and onions sandwiches will be calling my name again today as we head out for day 2 of the music fest. I resisted yesterday and can do it today.

Kiki - it's fantastic to drop a size! Congratulations!

Seven - keep giving them away! I got rid of everything as soon as it didn't fit. Because I had been heavy for so long, I have no clothes to go down to, so I actually have NO CLOTHES! - One pair of jeans that are again too big, 3 pairs of shorts, 1 pair of black dress slacks, one dress, one skirt! Several nice tee's. Fortunately, I wear shorts and tee's for work in the summer. I'll need a couple pairs of jeans when it gets cooler. The dress is perfect for a casual family wedding next week. Anything else is not being purchased unless I really need it. I hate buying "temporary" clothes! Good Will and Salvation Army are a blessing, for sure!

Going camping this weekend will eat my turkey hotdogs and stay on plan there with watermelon and someother kind of fruit. I may need to start watching my fruit intake . I did'nt in the beginng but now might be different. Too much of a good thing can be a bad thing. I have to own my number again and take control if I want to reach my goal.....this is my plan !

The other day I went to get a few groceries after the gym in my shorts and tank top, all sweaty. In the past, I would have wondered if people were judging why a fat person would even think of dressing that way in public. The other day I thought, "I can go in like this - people will just think I came from the gym."

I have gone through this change as well. I would have never even gone to the store in shorts or pants that were not some sort of structured material, nothing soft or stretchy or they might add slob to the fat judgement. I certainly wouldn't have gone sweaty. Now I stop at the store after the gym all sweaty, in my workout clothes all the time. I have had people make comments, but only ever positive ones like "looks like you had a good workout" or asking what gym I go to or something like that.

Today I will stay POP because my scale decided to be a jerk and have a fluctuation up by a pound and I intend to see that it stays only a fluctuation and is gone quickly.
