Default Sonoma/Mediterranean weekly thread - 25 to 31 July

Good morning everyone! What are your challenges this week? Mine is that I am going on a boating holiday on Saturday for a week. We will be eating breakfast and lunch on the boat, so that will be easy enough provided we can find decent shops, but we will be eating in pubs and restaurants for dinner every night. I foresee lots of salads in my future!

And here's what I ate today:

B: All Bran with low-fat milk; banana
L: Salad with egg, peppers, lettuce, baby mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers; wholemeal bread; 2 apricots (they were a bit tasteless, though, possibly because not organic)
D: Lentil salad - same as the day before; grape juice.

Exercise: 1 hr 5 mins walking; 10 mins yoga.

Thanks, Lady Windsong. I actually leave tomorrow, but it will be nice to know you're wishing me well.

Yesterday:
B: All Bran, low-fat milk; banana
L: Salad with egg, beans, olives, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, baby mozzarella, salad leaves, courgettes; raspberries
D: Stir-fried vegetables in spicy peanut sauce on brown rice; grape juice
S: 1 dark chocolate brazil nut

Exercise: 30 mins yoga, 50 mins walking. Felt so good to fit the yoga in - really want to get back to doing it 5-6x/week.

Pilgrim you are doing soooo good on portion control and whole grains.
I'm sure portions are the key-can't seem to get back into routine.
Is that spicy peanut sauce a recipe in the Sonoma book. ? I have made "peanut sauce by just throwing in a dollop of chunky peanut butter at the end of cooking. I bet there is a better recipe.

Hi 2Bees,

I just made it up on the spot with peanut butter, soy sauce and whatever spices I could find in the kitchen.
