Default Hello! 11 months later and I'm tired of maternity pants!

Hi, I'm Rachel. Excited to see a support forum like this. So a little about me: I'm a new-ish mommy, had my first baby 11 months ago. She's great and my husband is totally supportive but I've been bummed about my baby weight loss (or lack of) especially in the last few months.

1 year before I got pregnant I was at a high of 165 up to that point. Went to the GYN NP and she was brutal and made me cry about how heavy I was for my height (5'3") and my cholesterol and hormones were out of control. She gave me a print out of a week's worth of the Mediterranean Diet and I went by that pretty much for several months. I was so proud of myself and got down to about 135!! December of 2009 I started feeling sick and found out I was pregnant! Best day EVER! It was great that I had gotten back to healthy weight because I had a really great healthy pregnancy. No problems! I got up to 198 before I had my little girl. Within the next month I lost about 30 lbs and since then have fluctuated between 170-180. I'm tired of maternity pants!!!

I'm really interested in starting the (new) Sonoma diet. My mom did Slim4Life and has lost a LOT but I'm not interested in spending a crazy amount on supplements and fiber bars and junk.

Couple of other miscellaneous things: I'm an art teacher (middle school) and speaking of getting in control of life, we are doing the Total Money Makeover too. Anyway, that's me in a nutshell! Looking forward to meeting some of you

Welcome to 3FC! That's great that you've already dropped some post-pregnancy weight. And the great thing, is you lost weight before, so you know how to do it again. I wish you luck!

Hey there Welcome! I haven't started it myself yet but I just bought this new book that seems to be talked about alot on here. It is called the 17 day diet. I've read the first 2 chapters and incorporated just a few things in my daily diet and plan to really get started on following the entire plan soon. I wish you luck in all you do
