Default Almost caved last night!!!!

It was around midnight... My mom bought Zebra Cakes for the little kids. Everytime I walked by it I wanted to just indulge .... But I didn't. I drank a whole bottle of water and went to sleep. It was so hard. But worth it. Has anyone had that problem before?

Oooh...zebra cakes. Anything little debbie is hard for me to pass up. I don't buy them often, but my kids love them, and I have to let them have sweets every now and then. I'm trying to be really dedicated to not eating after dinner. Those cakes are little fat bombs. I always have tons of fruit, so if I do have to sneak a bite, I'll look at the sweets and then grab some fruit instead. Not as satisfying, but obviously the better choice! I've been writing down everything I eat, and I think I'm eating too few calories, so I think I'm going to pick up some of the WW Smart Ones desserts for those days when I eat an early dinner and really crave something sweet.

Oh yea! Those are good. I enjoy the cookie dough ice cream. It's hard to choose the healthy option, especially when the tastier option is there. Haha.

Wow! I don't know what I'd do if someone brought Little Debbie goodies into my house. My husband does always have a box of Fudge Rounds in his study, but they're not all that tempting for me. It helps that my favorite - the mini chocolate donuts - has 22 grams of fat for 6 donuts (!!!). I think I'll stick to the fat free 50 calorie chocolate puddings I keep in the fridge, thanks!

You did great! I hope you gave yourself a big pat on the back for that one!

Your strategy of just going to sleep is a good one. There have been nights when I really want something to eat. If I can hold out to 10 - 10:30, I'm usually okay because I don't like eating right before bed (it makes me dream all night, believe it or not). Also, I know that if I just go to bed, when I wake up the next morning, 98% of the time, I'm no longer "hungry."

YES! I have that same problem too. We had some brownies in the pantry. And I would go in and just stare at them. LOL. That sounds sooooooo very sad. I even picked one up a few times, debating. But ended up putting it back. Then my husband ate them all, and took away the temptation :P

Good for you! I've been having a similar problem. I made my brother a birthday cake a few days ago and now there's a hulking chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting sitting in the fridge. Calling my name. I haven't eaten ANY of it yet, and right now I'm not tempted at all, but man is it hard to avoid it!

That's really good! I'm proud of you for choosing not to eat them. I weighed the pros & cons in my head last night, tried to calculate some calories. Thought maybe if I did ten extra mins on the treadmill I could afford it.. lol. It was pretty sad.

Could you make cupcakes for the birthday? Maybe he could help decorate them to make having cupcakes instead seem really fun? Maybe it will be easier on you?

Yeah. Sometimes I don't even want to go out with my friends because of the temptation of eating to much when I'm out.
