So I turned 30 last year right after I had my 5th and final baby! She is now 9 months old and I am out of excuses for not losing weight. Oh my name is Jenni, I am from Utah and have 5 kids ages 8, 6, 3, 2, and 9 months (4 girls 1 boy) I have been married for nearly 10 years now and my DH is also trying to lose weight! We are trying to do it together but with his work schedule and helicopter school, he is not here to motivate me LOL Anyways, hope to get to know you all and find the support I need to get going and lose some weight, Oh I suppose I should mention I not only want to lose weight but HAVE to get in shape and eat better for my very high cholesterol needs to go down!

Hi Jenni. Wow five kids, they must keep you busy. I guess one way to lose weight will be running around after them ;) I don't know how you manage, I have two (2.5yr and 8mos) and they keep me busy and exhausted, you have got to have a bit of super woman in you I think. Anyway welcome to the board :)

Welcome to the club! I do not have any kids, but I lived in Utah for a year before moving back to Washington :-) You will love being a part of the community here and the support system is wonderful.

WOW 5 kids...and they are babies. I have 3 (16, 14, 11). I'm new here as well. I'm from Texas. It's been 11 years since my last baby & I'm still trying to get the "baby weight" off.. :).

I'm new too and my name is Jenni too! Most people call me Jen, but family calls me Jenni. I have 4 kids and lost all the the baby weight with my first three but GAINED 60 lbs since my last (now 2 years old) was born. I'm so fed up with being fat!!!

Hi Jenni,

I am also new and a mom of 3 (17, 15, and 12). My DH is the at-home parent and I am the full time supporter of the family, so it's a balancing act for me to find time for "me" to get healthier, but am on the same path as you. Weight down and hoping to shape up (my cholesterol is ok though... dr would like it a bit higher for good cholesterol, but not in danger zone). There seem to be some real nice cheerleaders here for your new step in life though! I know I am grateful to find my way here!
