Default Wow, it really IS true...

I always took that whole "Even if you aren't losing pounds, you may be losing inches" thing with a grain of salt. Umm, okay, to be honest, I thought it was utter nonsense.

Despite being ever so compliant with my calorie counting and working out, I haven't lost one measly ounce in 11 days. I know that stalls are normal and all that, but I'm getting kind of tired of 229.

ANYWAY, I've been taking periodic measurements of my waist and hips. Can you believe that in only 10 days I've lost 1/2 inch from my waist and 3/4 inch from my hips, despite not losing any weight?

I'll take it!

I believe it! Good for you! It's awesome that you keep up with measurements...it's great to be able to refer back to them and see where you started.

Awesome job!

This is why it's so incredibly important to have more than one "measure" of success. The scale can give one story, while the tape measure gives a different side to the story, and then there are pictures and the way clothing fits! So many ways to determine progress.

Considering I've been on a stall for quite some time, I'm learning to appreciate non scale victories such as these. Congratulations!!!!!

Congrats! Things like that are why I'm trying to take pictures and measurements at least once a month too. It really helps not getting discouraged.

Congrats on the loss, any loss is good loss, whether inches or pounds!

I rely on my measuring tape! - I probably check my measurements twice a week whereas I only weigh myself twice a month... this way I see progress on the scale and in inches.

Congrats! That's neat.
I'm planning on doing the same, I started 5 days ago and haven't lost one bit - but I feel like my tummy looks less 'flabby'. So in 5 days I'll measure myself again. The scale is not my friend in finding a motivational mindset right from the start :P
