It's time for a new CC Challenge. I like short challenges but I couldn't think of a holiday after this one so I figure a Labor day challenge would be good.
Anyone can join at anytime. Post your goals whatever they may be. They can be pounds, inches or something as general as just staying on plan or logging calories or meals everyday. Check in as much as you can for accountability and to give or get encouragement/support.
Lets have some FUN!!! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer3::cheer3:

NO MORE FREAKING AROUND!!!!!
I'm sooo not kidding.. !!!! this challenge has to be better for me, seriously. We all know my sob story about losing my job, etc. Well that's IT! I'm done feeling sorry for myself! LOL. I have to do better this challenge. I ended up gaining last month, but this time around, I am gonna do 100% better. I'm not gonna eat like crazy, no more binging on candy, no more binging on soda!!! I have to do better!
GOALS;;
+ 8 or more glasses of water a day.
+ Less candy, more fruit & veggies
+ Plan my meals [at least dinner] ahead of time.
+ DAILY accountability here, or MFP/Blog
+ 1 Video Log Weekly at least
+ Lose 12-15lbs by September 5; [labor day]
Seems like a lot, but I was doing all this before I slouched like a Punk, so I'm going back to it.. I will exercise, but I don't want to set goals for exercise these next couple months because I don't want to spread my time too thin , with the new job & all. Once I get settled in a couple weeks, I'll set an exercise goal for myself ..
Good Luck this challenge, ladies, we can do this :grouphug:
Oh & thank you jiggle for the challenge :)

Jiggle- Thanks for the new challenge!!
Ekicna- Good to see you here!
PHAT- you can do this, you are strong!
Welcome back everyone! & Welcome to the newbies!
1- My goal this time is to either lose weight or maintain current weight(116 lbs)
2- Keep walking everyday
3- not be so strict with myself
4- Make my 2 yr maintenance anniversary (Aug. 15th), being no heavier than I am now.
5- Follow the 80-20 rule, eat 80% healthy, 20% for treats.
I am a little confused about what I want to do about my weight. I am 10lbs heavier than i was last summer. Can't wear my jeans anymore, which is depressing. But 106 was too thin, I look & feel better at 110-111lbs. But need to be more restrictive w/ food at that weight. At 116lbs, it seems I can eat more treats and still maintain, but my knees hurt and I feel sluggish. So maybe I'll try to lose first til i get back down a bit, then maintain it. I have to add more of a variety of food, not be so strict about what kind of healthy food it is. If it's a whole food, then I can have it. Maybe this will work, I've tried so many ways to be happy with maintenance, yet nothing is really working without me ending up binging on sweets, which is my weakness.
Today- walked 30min. & had 1235 calories, perfectly on plan!

Yay! 1st short challenge here. :)
I'll say losing 14 lbs by Labor Day & walking more in this Midwest heat--right now I'm only getting 1 to 1 1/2 hours of walk in a day w/the pups. The dogs & I prefer cooler weather. I need to get up earlier & walk later in the evenings to get over 1 1/2 hours.

Hey guys! This will be my first challenge!
I will try for 8lbs lost. I will weigh in tomorrow, so I will give my starting weight then.
I want to get my joints strong and well enough to jog by then. So that means cardio to lose some weight to help them with pressure. Also, strength training.
My exercise goal: cardio 5X's/week. Strength 2-3x's/week
Foodwise: Just eat healthier. Make sure I'm getting my potassium in there as well as my calcium. I seem to be slacking on those 2 these last couple of days.
I'm sure everyone will do great! I'm excited for this goal as well!!

:welcome2: to all new challengers and welcome back to the regulars. I looking forward to a great time and lots of losses. I would like to say to everyone that because most of our challenges have been a little shorter. The longer challenges tend to feel like you have time so a little extra snack or eating off plan may seem like a good idea...NOT SO!!! Longer challenges require you to stay focused a little longer. To help yourself out you may want to set small milestones along the way so you stay on task. I have a goal for my birthday which is exactly midway through the challenge. Especially to those new to calorie counting. It's easy to get off track and then get down on yourself, thus a downward spiral can happen. So lets stay on point.
I had a great day yesterday. I stayed in my calorie range and did a little walking at work. I will try to have something to motivate us everyday and if I'm missing someone can put something up as well. I want this to be a really successful challenge for all of us. :D:D

Okay, I weighed in at 164.5 today. So my goal by labor day is 164-167. I'll give myself a range :D
Yesterday was an okay day. My eating was not the healthiest ever. But, I did come within my calorie goal. I do a range of 1500-1800. I was just over 1500, so that was a plus.
I also did 20mins of zumba, 20min 30ds and a slow paced walk with a friend for about 1.5miles.
Today I am starting off the day with a healthier breakfast and gonna go grocery shopping (we ran out of food stamps last week, so I have been scraping the barrel to eat healthy- I couldn't really buy anything so I got creative, like using up the many frozen veggies in the freezer to get my veggies instead of buying fresh ones)
Thank you for the tips jigglefree (LOVE THE NAME!! :carrot: )- I think I will do that. My mini-goal in between is to get to 159 or 160 by August 1!

Morning ladies!
Welcome to all new comers!
Today is starting out well! Except I had ice cream for breakfast, but sometimes I like to switch my eating order. Dessert first, you know! Ha, it was a half a cup serving, 170 cals with 17 g of sugar, which isn't bad considering I usually have a chobani yogurt for breakfast which actually has more sugar (when it has fruit on the bottom)! I just got done with my cardio sculpt (focuses on upper body with weights and resistance bands) and had a protein shake.
I'm excited- I'm going hiking where I've never been before! The hiking trails around here, while always nice, can get repetitive, so I'm always excited to go somewhere new!
Feeling energized and ready for this challenge!!
ETA: Seconding what Jiggle said! This time last year I left 3fc in the middle of the Labor Day challenge- because it's one of the longer challenges it can be sooo tough! Hang in there!!

Walked 38min. & had 1279 calories. I'm going to add more variety to my diet, whole food only though. So we'll see were that takes me, not sure what it will do to my weight. Foods that were healthy, but were still taboo to me because of higher carbs or starch are returning to my life. I need more choices, it will be healthier & I think it will help with the cravings for sweets. If I go over my calorie range some days, I'm not gonna worry, my body will find a happy weight somewhere along the way.
I've been trying this out for the past 2 days, weight stayed the same. But I feel a loss coming, so if anything this change will benefit me. I'll be eating more veggies & healthy foods, less sweet stuff. The sweet stuff is only here 2 days a week( as soon as I buy it for hubby, he eats it in 2 days), so if I want it while it's here, I'll have it. Otherwise it's all whole food for me!

Good luck with the sweets fruitlady. What I found has really helped me lately is making sure I eat by the "healthy guidelines" of 2 servings milk, 5 servings fruits/vegetables, 8 cups water, 2 tbl good oil, lean protein, and whole wheat when able. By the time I fit everything in with my calories I only have a small amount left for sweets, and I feel really good about what I ate that day. Good luck :)

Good Morning Everyone!! Yesterday ended very well and below my calorie range. I bought a shirt last year that I knew was way too small but every couple of months I'd try it on. Well this morning it fit!!!:carrot::carrot: I was way too excited and started to dance around the house, but I got to work on time. I love it when clothes that have been too small and you try them on and they fit with room to move and can be worn out of the house. I'm down a pound today and that is really exciting to me. I'm actually starting to see the loss with my own eyes which is not always the easy part of this process especially when you started off very large like I did.
I would like to welcome those new to the challenge since yesterday. We are having a great time and the support you need is available so come here and get it. We also want you to give support as well. It's a fun group.
Today's Nugget: It's early in the challenge so this is a good time to get in your groove. The work gets more intense as the weeks go by. If it seems that things aren't working look at what you are doing and make adjustments. It's okay to make adjustments along the way.

jigglefree: Congratulations!! That is really awesome!! :carrot: :carrot: I'll do a few dances for you!
Yesterday I ended with around 1700 calories. I was high in fat and sat. fats. I've been adding a lot of cheese to my salads and then I had some butter. I need to pick one or the other. The last couple days I've been high in sat. fat.
I was able to exercise as well. I did a 25min pilates video on youtube and then 30ds. I'm feeling it a bit in my muscles today, which is cool!
Today I'm planning: eat healthy! Lots of fruits and veggies!! I will do 30ds and some zumba. I might do a pilates, but I will see how I feel after 30ds an zumba.
All in all, I'm having a good month. My only issue is that I feel my TOM coming on. I was even a little spotty, but nothing is started and I think I'm a bit bloated. This is unusual for me with TOM. Usually I get bloated and then the next day I start. It's kind of annoying me actually LOL.
Oh and yesterday I also started taking glucosamine since my joints have been killing me. I'm going to take that to see if that helps them a bit. One of my friends said he had the same problem and that the glucosamine fixed he. He said it took about a month though, which is fine.
Another thought is that I want to get a proper measuring tape so that I can take measurements. Lately, even though I haven't lost too many pounds I am fitting into some of my clothes better.
See you chickys later!! :carrot: keep it movin'!! :carrot:

Walked 32min & had 1285 calories. Ate on plan, made fresh sweet potatoes for the first time. I peeled them and cooked them til soft, then I mashed them like potatoes. I didn't add anything to them, put in a container for tomorrow. I did taste them, they are fine as is, won't need to add anything. I'm used to eating whole food with no seasoning, the natural flavor tastes so good to me. No added calories or sodium either! Tonight's dinner was simple cause I didn't have anything prepared. Skinless chicken w/ caraway seed & 1 serving of carrots. I need to buy everything I need tomorrow, so i can make some of these recipes I found, like slow cooker chicken chili!
This is the third day of adding more variety & I love it. I don't crave anything yet, so far I've been feeling full and don't even want anything other than natural food. Very satisfying & I lost .8lbs!

TOM is here, and I usually skip weigh in on these days but I weighed to find a gain of 1 pound. BUT, it's water weight. I knew I shouldn't have weighed today!
I ended up having a maui wowy burger yesterday (teriyaki sauce, pineapple and bacon mmm) for dinner which I know put me a bit over calories but hey, have to indulge every now and then, right? Of course, this could have helped with the water weight this morning, hehe.
I didn't do traditional exercise yesterday, either. I did do a lot of outdoor work, though. The day before I did my weights and a 7 mile hike. Love hiking!
Today, I'm hoping to stay OP but won't freak out if I go a little over calories...I may just need some chocolate! :D I'm hoping to get in a work out, too.
Welcome to all!

Good Morning Everyone.
Had another good day yesterday. Stayed on plan with my calories but didn't do any working out. I am feeling good about my progress.
Today's Nugget: Take a moment at some point today and look at yourself without clothes and embrace yourself where you are on the way to where you are going. Take some before pictures if you haven't already. There are days that you don't think you are making progress and if you look at pictures of yourself along the way, then you will see that your work is truly paying off. Having before and after pictures is great especially when you get to goal. It will also encourage someone else when they find themselves where you are and not sure if it will work.
Let's make it a great and fun day today. :high:

jigglefree-thank you for the nugget!!
Corrinne- Glad to hear it does make a difference. Why did you stop taking it? I'm hoping that as I lose weight and strengthen those muscles that I will be able to jog and not have joint pain.
Today is my intuitive eating day! What I do here is eat how I normally would but I don't weigh anything . For breakfast I had a cup of coffee and a bowl of fruit. I think I will have some cereal shortly since I'm a bit hungry now.
I like this day since it gives me a break from calorie counting. I don't find counting hard to do, but I get obsessive about it.
I'd like to eventually do it another day or 2 each week. For now, while I am trying to lose weight I'm doing it once a week.
I will also be exercising today and painting our fence!! So painting, 30ds, some tae bo I'm thinking and a little pilates! :carrot: :carrot: :carrot:

My CCing and exercising are going great and the scale is moving along nicely, but I am wondering if I am about to get a stall. If I do, I just have to keep reminding myself to keep on doing the right things and a woosh will follow.

Phat- I have found the easiest thing for me to get recipes is just start googling. Google -healthy, low cal meals or something along those lines. You will get some great ideas for free! and no clutter!
Usually what I do is make the recipe once. If it's a keeper then I put it in my own binder. If it was just okay I keep it bookmarked but I don't print it or anything.
I've even started going through some of the recipe books I have and doing that. Then when I get through the book, I goodwill it or give it away. I have less clutter that way!

Thanks jiggle for all your tips!

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

k15- running makes me extra hungry too, it burns alot of calories.
PHAT- All i do is peel the sweet potatoes, put on a plate in the microwave, cook until soft. Then you can make them how you want, all I did was mash them. I like them w/ nothing added, but you can add cinnamon or brown sugar & butter too, but that's extra calories.
Corinne- Thanks, yeh, those sweet potatoes were tasty without adding anything to them. Yum!
Walked 30min & had 1192 calories. Lost 1lb. again, eating foods that I know did keep me thinner & I lost weight fast eating, are worth eating. I'd rather be happy & have the variety, even if I lose slow.

I hope I can join this challenge! I can't really afford (and didn't really like) the diet plan I was on anymore and since I neurotically count calories regardless of what I'm doing, I thought this was a good free option to continue on with.
Before joining 3FC I was at about 215 pounds in May, so I've been doing pretty well with weight loss so far.
My primary Labor Day goal will be to be healthier and feel better about the way I look. As far as weight goes, I'd like to be around 175-180 by then.

Good morning everyone!! It's a great day and I'm looking forward to a good workout this morning. Stayed on task yesterday and I'm weighing in right before my workout. I'll let you all know how my week was.
LemonZest - Of course you can join us so hop on and join the fun.
Friutlady - Glad you are doing something that is working for you and can be happy with. That one pound is motivating!!
Envelope - I hope your evening went better and that you daughter had a good night's rest.
k15g15 - How do you run, starve and stay in your calories? That was too difficult for me so I stopped running so I wasn't so hungry. It may work better for me when I get to goal.
Ekicna - Since you know what to do getting back on track shouldn't be too difficult so you can maintain. I think I asked before but do you have a weight range for while you're in maintenance or are you planning to stick with 110?
Today's Nugget: There will be days you just don't feel like working out or eating healthy. Make sure those days aren't one after the other. We all know that some days are going to be better than others. On the first bad day come here, talk about it so you can get some encouragement and support to get back on task.

I did sleep better last night, I bet tonight will be even better.
I am going for a 4 mile jog in a little while. I love how I feel when I am jogging. I never thought I would ever be able to jog. I decided to give c25k about 11 months ago and was amazed at the results.
Jiggle - You are right, there are days when we do not feel like doing what we should to continue on our weightloss/healthy living journey. I try my best to just ignore the feeling and do what I should anyways. I know that some days I may not, but I also know I have you all to help keep me accountable and to keep inspiring me.
fruitlady - When you said, "I'd rather be happy & have the variety, even if I lose slow." That was a WONDERFUL NSV!!!
Welcome - Lemon!
k15g15 - I make sure I eat a lot of lean protein and frutis and vegis. Yesterday after my jog I was starving, so I ate 2 medium cucumbers and that did the trick. I also added in Unprocessed Wheat Bran to my diet after learning about it from the Dr. Phil show. It is a fiber that your body does not process. So it is a fiber, which is good for you, fills you up, and it is low in cals. I just put it in my yogurt.

I really hope this doesn't sound judgmental, but I picked 165 because having been there before that was kind of my threshold for thinness without looking like a lamp post. I think us taller girls look a little odd when we try to get down to the lower end of our ideal weight range.

Jigglefree: Thank you for the daily nugget. Oddly enough today I don't feel like eating healthy! LOL.
I had a treat out at a Tim Horton's. I think I will eat semi-healthy today. I'm about to have some fruit and some veggies. Maybe some cottage cheese. Then later on I may have another small treat or something. But I will definitely stay within my calorie range today.

Hello all. Its nice to see everyone doing so well. I've had a great week. I've been sticking to my goal of "no weighing". It's been hard but I'm not going to weigh until July 29. I did measure my waist and it's down 1.25".
Have a great evening everyone.

PHAT- I use a salt substitute or sea salt instead of salt. you can use it for baking or cooking.
Jiggle- Yay!!! Congrads!
No exercise today, we went to a farmer's market about 30min away this morning, so no time for a walk. Ate too many calories(4263) including all three healthy regular meals. Too much junk food in between meals, it adds up so fast. I lost 4.4lbs since last Sunday even with the changes I made to my diet. After today's eating, my weight will go back up for sure. But that's ok, i'll be right back on plan tomorrow!

Good Morning Everyone!!!
I'm feeling really good today. It is my goal to be at the lower end of my calorie limit today and have a lot of water. If any of you have a hard time drinking a lot of water try adding a small amount of fruit to your water because it will add a little flavor and very little calories. I usually blend about 6 strawberries and a little lemon juice until it's smooth and then I add it to a gallong jug. It adds just enough taste with very little sugar and calories. It may be about 1 or 1/2 calorie per 8oz glass.
Ekicna - Good deal. I think it's good that you have a range so you don't get to obsessed with the number but have some liberality in maintaining your goal.
Fruitlady - That's a good loss for the week. I really like seeing the weekly results because you can see that even though you have bad days and get back on track you still get results.
Gettinfit - Good job sticking to the plan of no weighing. I love measuring to see the inches coming off as well.
tdiprincess - NICE!!! So make today a great day!!
Lemonzest - It's not judgemental it's just you know your ideal look and weight is which is good. I want to make sure I don't look like a bobble head.
K15g15 - TURE!! Coming to this site kept me from giving up. It's been 18 months since I started and I'm sure it was the encouragement on this site that has kept me going.
Envelope - I'm glad you are sleeping better and I hope that means your daughter is better as well.
Today's Nugget: Since we are working so hard on our health as well as our exterior beauty, let's not forget our mental/emoional selves. Love yourself no matter where you are in your journey. If you love yourself like you're the only one that does then others will follow suit and love you the same way.
Make today a GREAT DAY!!

I'd like to join in (a bit late--I just joined 3fc today.). I like the idea of a short challenge since I hope to be at this for awhile. My goals for Labor Day are: to lose at least ten more pounds, putting me in the 160s, keep calorie counting and make healthier choices, and to keep it up when I return to work mid-August. I am really worried that all my hard work will go out the window when I get super busy again.
Thanks for the challenge!

Buenos noches chiquitas!
I had a great day. Woke up positive, not a down moment all day! I had my Ipod on at work and was literally dancing the whole day when I wasn't doing my normal duties- actually, during most of those too, haha.
Ate very well today too! No cravings from TOM today. OP all the way! :carrot: I am actually hungry right now- tried to drown the feeling with water and a 45 calorie fruit pop, but it's still there. My body must be telling me something! I'm thinking a 100 cal popcorn should do the trick.
I started taking cinnamon today for it's many supposed benefits. I love cinnamon anyways and have it quite a bit, so I'm being wary as I know too much can be dangerous.
Welcome TX! You can always join a challenge whenever you want!
Jiggle- That sounds like a really refreshing treat- may have to try it! You're so inspiring, I don't think I can say that enough!
Ekicna- Don't you hate the feeling when you reach goal and then you go up? But hey, like you say, it's a range we should have for goals. I'm sure you'll be back down in no time!
Fruit- Wow! 4.4 lbs! Congrats! I love farmer's markets, too.
Gettin- Congrats! That's a huge inch loss! :carrot:
TDI- That's the way to do it!

TXteacher- Welcome!! Join anytime!
Jiggle- that water does sound good!
Ekicna- Having a range is much easier, good idea. Weight always fluctuates naturally on a daily basis.
Walked 31 min. & had 1382 calories. 182 over limit, decided to have an ice cream cone using the fat free black cherry frozen yogurt I have, it took 2 servings to fill the cone. The ice cream cone was 200 calories total! I just think that's too much, next time I'll use 1 serving of frozen yogurt.
Made zesty summer veggies for the first time tonight so i could have it with my chicken, it was good. That recipe is a keeper! Then spent 2.5 hrs. chopping veggies for the slow cooker chicken chili, there's about 30 ingredients, only 96 calories & .5g. of fat for 1 cup. The sodium is only 61g. per cup too! Should be a yummy dinner tomorrow night!

Hit the ground running this morning. I did my kettlebell workout but it was a lighter than normal workout and I feel great. I even did some planks!! I'm hoping it doesn't cause me to be hungry all day. Trying to ease back into to my regular routine because I miss it.
:welcome3:TX Teacher and H82Sweat!! Jump right in and let's have some fun. It's only too late to join if the challenge is over.
Fruitlady - Chilli in the summer??? It sounds hearty but I would think it's too hot to eat in this time of year. If you like it I love it.
Envelope - I had a great weekend. Yesterday was a very relaxing day. I feel so rested today and I went to bed later than normal. I'm really glad you are sleeping better.
Corinne - Hola', you are rocking it!! It has to be nice not to have cravings during TOM. Did you have the popcorn. I try to encourage everyone because it's what keeps us here and keeps us going.
LemonZest - The water is great. The strawberry seeds drop (well most of them) drop to the bottom of the Jug. I have very few if any seeds in my water and I usually drink at least 32 oz at a time. I stopped having smoothies so much because the seeds bothered me so badly. I actually discovered the water by accident. But I'm loving it.
Today's Nugget: Try visualizing yourself already at your goal. What would you do? How would you feel about yourself? Start doing those things and feeling those feelings. If your mind can conceive it and you can believe it then you will achieve it!! I BELIEVE IN YOU!!

Hi Ladies!
I would like to join this challenge. Sorry I'm joining late, I've been on vacation for a week, and I didn't make my goal last challenge, but I didn't gain anything during my vacation because I was walking around alot.
Jiggle: Thank you for doing this challenge and carrying on the torch!
So for this challenge:
1. Lose 10 lbs, be out of the 130's
2. Work out atleast 3 days a week
3. Declutter my home and life
4. Eat red meat only once a week
5. Drink alcohol once a week.
6. Stay on track with Alli and my fat grams and calories.
That should do it. I hope you all have a wonderful day!

So I ended up goofing off this weekend. We went to the drive-in last night. I was gonna behave. But, I decided that everything in moderation is good. While I definitely overate on junk food this weekend, I haven't done that in about a good 6 months. We had fun. We enjoyed our food.
Today is a new day. I've started out with a healthy breakfast. I plan a 10mile bike ride later and some 30ds along with some tae bo to mix it up a bit. I will also be cleaning the house up. Fairly active day.
See you chickys later!! :bye:

WOOOHOO I'm back and bigger than ever (pun intended...lol) no, I sucked the last challenge because I went from having no job and all the time in the world, to having 2 freakin' jobs, so it took me awhile to balance my life out, but I am balanced now and I want to finish off my summer strong (school starts up September 21st), so let's get to the old goals:
Lose 10 lbs
Drink at least 100 oz of water every day
Continue to go to the gym 5 or 6 days a week
I love coming back, but I hate to leave...So let's make it happen, ladies!!!

Oh, that makes sense! I was comparing my experience to smoothies because I love making those sometimes (with milk though instead of juice and I've been told that's really weird). I'll give it a whirl some time this week. :)

jiggle- yeh, it is a little weird having chili in hot weather. I'm not used to eating stuff like that anymore, so I was anxious to try it. Your doing great, I'm so proud of you!!
Ok, Saturday's calories were real bad, yesterday i went over a bit & today was 2396, not good. Noticing a pattern that happens every week, hubby's junk food is here Sat. thru Monday, by Tues. it's usually gone or I'm craving to eat my healthy food only. So 2 days a week I eat alot of junk in between healthy meals, that's stupid! But I think I need that break sometimes. My weight is now at my red line, I'm craving healthy stuff now, so that's good. It's either my mind panicking about my weight or physically it's my body saying it wants to weigh less. This has been happening for the past year, hoping it's my body's way of trying to stabilize my weight, maybe trying to even itself out without these huge weight fluctuations all the time.
This is only the 4th day since I started adding more variety & adding my taboo foods back to my diet, by next weekend I should be satisfied enough with what I'm eating, that i won't feel the need to indulge. At least I hope that's the way it goes!

Good Morning.
I had an okay day yesterday. I stayed in my calorie range but all the food I ate wasn't healthy. I chalked it up to the workout!!! LOL. Today is another day to be healthy.
Fruitlady - I know how you feel but you will find your zone. Then you will find it easier. Just keep going. What I like about it is you are learning yourself and patterns.
Emme - Good to see you!!! I think you are right we will all have good results at the end of the week.
LemonZest - :carrot::carrot: Good Loss!! The one thing I forgot to mention about the water and the seeds being at the bottom is when you get low you have to do another batch or you will get a glass or cup full of seeds. I usually make a fresh batch every couple of days.

Bigcheifhoho - Welcome to the party. Get a hat and join in.

I like that. I know from long experience that if I don't make it a big goal to enjoy the process I'll never stick with it. No one wants to deal with being miserable for months or years until goal weight (and no one should have to, either).
Yesterday was a pretty good day for me. I stayed in the right calorie range, even though the food was not particularly healthy, and I went to the track to exercise. Unfortunately when I got there I found out my ipod was dead, so I couldn't do the c25k I'd planned on (I use the podcast to keep me on time), but I walked around the track anyway. I'm going to go to the track tonight and make sure I get that c25k day in.

Buenos tardes ladies!
I'm doing pretty well so far today. I opted not to exercise this morning and am waiting to run this afternoon/evening. Yesterday I did fairly well, but I know I went over calories. I bought some dried pineapple as a snack, at 140 calories per 8 pieces- but the amount of sugar in them is ridiculous! I swear, they taste more like straight up sugar than pineapple. I also had some popcorn last night, too. Today I'm being more strict on my cals. TOM is almost over, phew!
On days I have a staff meeting (Tuesdays) I always feel slightly out of whack because it takes up 2 hours in the middle of my day off. So, the whole day all I'm thinking about is the staff meeting up until it happens, then when it's over I have to catch up and get all my planned activities done. I wish it were first thing in the morning so I could get it over with!!
BigChief- Welcome! If it were me, I'd probably be so frustrated that I'd end up not doing it, haha. Good job picking up and going through anyways!
Jiggle- Ah well! As long as it's under calories, is what I say! I always catch myself getting angry/guilty about making bad decisions so I have to remind myself that I AM going to be eating these foods the rest of my life, so I need to make room for them!
Fruit- Maybe you can compromise with your husband about his junk food? Or try to help him see the benefits in eating healthier? Would be a difficult subject to approach, I imagine, but maybe if you guys worked together you wouldn't beat yourself up so much! I think you've done so well and you always pick yourself right back up.
Lemon- Great whoosh! :carrot:
Phat- "They" say we burn an extra 300 calories during PMS/TOM due to extra cellular activity, so hey, I figure the extra snacking can't be too bad! Congrats on the 2 pounds!!
TDI- Way to pick yourself back up!
Jdon and Fit- Great to see both of you at the new challenge!

Corinne- thanks, I've tried to talk to hubby about his junk food. He Knows how hard it is for me when it's around. It gets better for a while, then he's right back to it. I've given up on him!
Took two walks in this 100deg. weather, 35min. each. Ate more ice cream, so i felt like i had to do the second walk. Calories were 2093, not good, but better than yesterday. That spicy chili helps, i don't want anything sweet after I eat that!

Good Morning!!
Yesterday was a really good day. I stayed well below my calories and I feel pretty good. I'm enjoying the fruit of my labor. I rotated my winter and summer clothes and I can fit the ones that were too small when I packed them up. I woke up very early this morning and tried on almost all of them. There are some that are still too small in the arms (my biggest issue) but it was good to get in the other stuff. I was looking at my sides and it was really cool to see that the back/side rolls are disappearing!!

I haven't checked in for a while but my goal for this challenge (as was the 4th of July Challenge) is to get out of the 170's. I hope I am not jinxing myself but today I weighed in at 172.2. Thanks for the warm welcome ladies  I needed it.
So after the bf and I went on our vacation last week, I've gained 6lbs. sure I'm on TOM but seriously, I've been eating out of control. I didn't count my calories at all last week, and I did alot of walking which helped, but now it's hard to get back on track this week, because i'm not active anymore. I have no energy to work out and for eating...I'm with Fruitlady! The bf and I got fudge from our trip and 2lbs of candy. I was only eating red meat once a week but since our vacation, i've been eating so much fat and red meat every day, and my sugar intake (unhealthy sugar) is off the charts!
I weighed in today at 141.8 :( So I'm trying to get back on track with my eating...before it was easy staying at 1200 calories, now I have no idea how I did that, and I was staying within my fat grams, and that's hard too.
I have no motivation to work out, when I'm at home I'm like yes lets go to the gym, but it's too late at night, and on my way home from work I just think...too hot, too tired, just want to be home. I want to be able to get up early in the morning and go, and I plan for that the night before but when the alarm goes off...snoooze button!
I've been feeling so lathargic lately and fat! I was feeling skinny for a while even when I was at 135...I felt like I was at 120. Anyone know of a good cleanse or a way to get my body back on track of not wanting crappy food?
sorry to complain, just having one of those weeks.

BigChiefHoho ~ Good for you for still getting a workout in even though you weren't able to do the one you planned on doing! :)
Corinne ~ Those meetings in the middle of your day off do not sound like fun!! Too bad you can't just catch up with everyone the next day.
fruitlady ~ Hope you are doing well today!
jiggle ~ Congrats on being able to fit into last year's tight clothes! Woo-hoo! :carrot:
love2b150 ~ Awesome job weighing in at 172!! :bravo:
princess ~ And an awesome job to you weighing in at 163!! :cheer:
jdonato ~ It's ok to complain! I do it often. :) Just start today as a new day and get that renewed spirit running through you! You can do this...pick yourself up and start fresh!!
Hello to anyone I may have missed. I'm feeling "off" today...nauseous, pukey, gross. It just hit me about an hour ago. Hope everyone is doing better than I am, lol! :)

I'm glad you all are enjoying the daily nuggets. I was thinking that if you join the challenge it would be good to have something that encourages at least one person, hopefully more than one person is encouraged to continue but if it's only one person I'm satisfied.
Love2b150 - Of course you can use the nugget. It lets me know it helped you.
JD - If you don't mind my saying, I think you are at a "starting over" point and it's hard. When you do really well and then you get off track you have to fight much harder to get back to where you were. So maybe start with baby steps this week and things will get better. Like what one thing can you do today to get back on track? Yes getting back down to 1200 is not going to be easy but you can may decrease your intake by 50 calories today. Stay at 50 less for two days and after you get two days under your belt take out another 50 calories. You can also increase your water intake while you are decreasing your calories. Just throwing some things out there to get you thinking.
tdiprincess - I'm doing my happy dance with you!!!:cb::cb:
Emme - Hope you feel better soon. It's no fun being sick!!!

Hi everyone! You are all doing a great job! :)
I am 0.6lbs below my original goal weight. I am behind on my fitness goals for this challenge but I will get moving soon. I just wanted to do a quick check-in before starting my day.

Jiggle. I just read the comment about the seeds in strawberries. My family thinks I'm weird because I can't mix fresh/frozen strawberries in anything due to the seeds. They make me gag. So do you strain the water? Thanks for the nugget, I added it :)

I don't strain them. They will fall to the bottom of the jug. However when it's almost gone you will need to either strain it or pour it out because the seeds are plenteous. I don't like the seeds from the strawberries either. Which is why I stopped making smoothies with strawberries.

Jdonato- I'm sorry it is one of "those" weeks. It can be pretty brutal!! I'd say just start making small changes. Maybe reduce your calories to 1500, then 1400 and so on until you're comfortable again. Maybe try to limit your candy intake to one or two "treats" each day or every other day. Sometimes we can't do a drastic change right away. So maybe just slowly work back to where you were. It is your TOM too, which plays a HUGE part!
I'm with ya on not wanting to workout! I haven't worked out since Monday. I know I need to, I just don't feel like it LOL. I am planning on doing a 30DS video today and maybe some Zumba.
Thanks guys for the happy dances! I'm very happy!! I've also been noticing that my legs are looking a bit trimmer and stronger! Just gotta keep exercising and eating good!!
Keep up the awesome work guys! We will all get there!! Just keep movin'! :carrot: :carrot:

Hello everyone,
Jdonato - I hope your week gets better :)
Great job to everyone else who is doing so well.
Jiggle - I just hope I can stay in this groove. It sure feels good to be in control of my eating for a change.
My day has been really good. Eating was good and I got my workout in today. I've not weighed myself since July 5 so I have no idea what the numbers are. I'm just trying to focus on my calorie intake & exercising 5 times a week. I will weigh on 7/29.
Have a great evening everyone.

Ekicna- Great job, how do you do it?
Jiggle- It's good you tried those clothes on, keeps you motivated! I tried a pair of jeans on today, that I wore last winter. I can squeeze into them & zipper them, but they are way too tight to be comfortable in. I think if I lose about 5 lbs. they will be wearable.
jdonato- it's so hard to cut calories down to 1200 after you've been eating more for a while, I've been there. I agree with jiggle, do it gradually.
Walked 40min & had 1265 calories. Went 65 cal. over, no worries. It's a heck of alot better than the past few days. It's easy to keep my calories at this level as long as i don't eat junk. All healthy food today, no ice cream!!

Oh, i wanted to tell you guys about a great recipe that is on WebMD.com Roasted Veggie Smothered Baked Potato. You find it under the healthy cooking section. Can use a baked potato or a sweet potato, I had sweet potatoes, that's what I used. It was delicious!

This sounds delicious fruitlady!! The only thing is that I don't like to cook most veggies that long. I personally would either bake the potato first and then add the rest of the veggies in the last 5-10mins. OR microwave the potato for 6 minutes while the other veggies are roasting.
Other than that, it sounds delicious and LOVE the idea! Extremely healthy and filling.
Thank you for sharing!! :carrot:

Jigglefree - Thanks for the tip! I would have gotten a mouth full of seeds, I'm not very observant. :) It's really delicious and refreshing though!
I didn't have a very good day at all, I feel like I ate the entire contents of my kitchen and now I'm really bloated from too much sodium. Reading a couple posts on here helps keep me motivated, so next time I feel like reaching for the cookies I'll just get on here instead.

Good Morning Chickadees.
Yesterday was a good day until the evening. I ate within my calorie limit but I ate a protein bar right before bed. That is a habit I DO NOT want to move back to but today is a new day.
Today's Nugget: Today is "think about it" day!! Before you put something in your mouth today think about it first. Before you take one bite, look at it and think about how it will benefit your body. Hopefully if it's not beneficial you won't eat it.
Have a great day. I will do personals later.

Good morning everyone!
I have to announce that I am a third of the way to meeting my challenge!
I'm eating between 1400-1700 calories a day, with one day at 1900.
Also a disclaimer that I walk dogs 2ce a day for at least 1 1/2 hours + I do not sit still long enough to watch TV... basically, I'm the extreme opposite of sedentary.

Good Morning Ladies,
So instead of the normal 2500 calories i've been taking in, yesterday I took in close to 1500. I was a little over my fat grams and sodium but not a whole lot. I did snack a little late at night too. I'm taking all the advice you ladies gave me, and starting fresh. I'm doing it one day at a time, and slowly reducing my calories and watching what I eat. I'm down to 141.0 today so I lost .8 oz. I would love to be back down to 138 by Monday. I drank 16 glasses of water yesterday (128 oz) and had asparagus last night with my dinner so hopefully i'll get a good flush in the next few days.
I'm thinking about starting my alli plan over? Going to the website and doing a new account and starting the steps fresh...what do you think? I'm still taking the pills, and they have helped, but I haven't been following the plan or doing my steps.
Also I'm thinking about doing my workouts at home first, before doing the gym thing. I have pilates videos and my yoga mat, and weights at home. Oh and another ?....talk me about Jillian Michaels' 30 day shred? I want to know more so if anyone can give me details I would really appreciate it!
Emme: Thank you :) I'm starting fresh and I hope you feel better. my bf is feeling like that too, I think something may be going around. Get plently of rest and lots of fluids! Feel better :)
jigglefree:  thank you. I'm so glad you did this challenge and I love your daily nuggets! I'm taking your advice and going to start over. I'm slowly making my changes again and not going full blown. I did the same thing last night before bed, I had a protein bar too. I didn't need it, but I had it. I don't want to do the late night snacking either...lets fight the urge together! :)
Ekicna: congrats on being below your goal weight, you are rocking this out! :carrot:
tdiprincess: thanks for the support and advice, I didn't have candy last night and I'm slowly going to limit my intake. How do you like 30DS? any info you can tell me would be great! like what it is? what does it consist of? time it takes to do it everyday?
fruitlady: I'm with you on the men having junk food in the house. the bf has leftovers sometimes and I have to really work hard not to eat the leftover pizza and wings. Sometimes I throw it out because I can't keep it in the frige without eating it. He's very supportive of my weightloss, but at the same time I don't want him to feel deprived. He gave up smoking for me, and I figure that's hard enough. Keep up the great work! I have to eat clean now for a while.
LemonZest: hope the bloat goes away, I know what you mean, I'm with you on that. we can "depoof" together!
ScottieMama: congrats on being 1/3 to your challenge goal! Keep up the awesome work :carrot:
I hope you ladies have a wonderful day, I'll try and check back on here later :)

Hi! I'm really looking for a thread that is moving! LOL
I'm on Day 61 of a my self-made 100 Day Challenge. It's an arbitrary number...I'll do another something after that.
I did 1200 cals/day for the first month, regardless of exercise, but that seemed too low, b/c even though I was only expecting work out a couple times a week, it ended up being 5x a week.
So after the first 30 days, I now add a 190 cal Nectar protein shake after a heavy workout. It could be totally psychological, but I feel better. I'm losing super slow now...roughly a pound a week, but I'm still trucking along.
Today my workout was a bit of arm work on the weight circuit at the gym and a 2.75 mile run/walk for about 40 minutes. I have a bday party this afternoon...hate having to watch everyone eatin gpizza and cake. Boo hoo. With all the summer cookouts, etc, I've taken to bringing a Zone bar with me.
I've stayed 100% on plan for 61 days....I'm OCD like that, though. Hello to everyone!

JDonato: 30DS is jillian michael's 30 day shred. I am enjoying it. It's a good and quick 20min workout with 3 levels. You do each level for roughly 10days. In the fitness area under the fitness videos there is a thread for fellow chicks doin' 30 day shred. Go there for more answers to questions.
Other things I do as well for exercise are Zumba, pilates and tae bo videos on Youtube. They don't cost anything and give some variety!
I'm glad to hear you are getting back on track. A little at a time works great!
Jigglefree: Very nice tip today! Wish I had seen it earlier LOL. But, now I will be working on it for the evening!!
For me today has been an on-the-run day. Not that great for eating. I haven't done terrible but I'm about ready for a big salad and then call it day foodwise pretty much. I will be doing the 100 workout, sounds crazy and silly. Then a bike ride. That'll be it for the day, unless I feel allright and then 30DS, but I don't want to push too far and hurt my joints.
I also went goodwill shopping today! The best find was a $70.00 dress that was brand new! Got it for $8 or 10 I think! WOO HOO!! Plus some sizes are feeling more comfortable and I got a couple "goal" shirts that are a tad small but will fit within in the next 5-10lbs! Those help motivate me!! :carrot:
will check in later! Keep movin'!! :carrot:

ScottieMama - That's terrific! And in such a short amount of time too! :)
jdonato - Asparagus helps bloating? I had no idea, I usually just take vitamin B6 tablets, but I can't stand the smell of them. Hopefully the weight is back down by next weigh-in for both of us!
I had noticed in a couple other threads some ladies had mentioned putting stickers on their calender when they exercise to act as a visual incentive. I picked some up and started using them today (I do one for physical activity and one for healthy eating). It felt really good to be able to put them both up. :)

Good Morning Ladies!
Great Day today! So I weighed in this morning at 139.0, which is 2.8 lb loss of all my bloat and water.....yessssss :carrot: I probably weigh even less, because I didn't have my big BM this morning, I was up earlier than usual for work. Eitherway I'll take it!
I've been trying to eat clean, and reduce my calories slowly. Yesterday after dinner I felt that I should have a snack because I had extra calories left over, but I really asked myself if I was hungry, and I wasn't so I didn't have a snack after dinner. I've been drinking a crap load of water too. So as long as I can keep this up this weekend I will be right back on track again :)
Speaking of the weekend....I might have to work this weekend which I'm super excited because that is over-time and double-time for Sunday! wahooo money money money moooonnnneeyyyy....MONEY! The bf has to work this weekend anyway so it will work out better for us.
LemonZest: Asparagus is a natural Diuretic, as well as grapefruit and watermelon. Fruitlady knows alot more about that, she's a great person to ask. Another good place for that info is Hungrygirl.com Which is where I get recipes and food ideas too. AS for the stickers...when I was down to my lowest weight 115, I was keeping a food diary (didn't have a smart phone with MFP) and I did sickers. I love it! I would give myself a sticker everyday I was on track for calories, a sticker for working out and for lbs I lost. It was great when I opened it and saw lots of shinny stickers. Go shopping and find stickers that you love and make you happy and go to town! I hope our weighins are fantastic for us coming up :)
tdiprincess: Thanks for the info, I"ll check it out. 20min a day I can handle, but I'm worried if there is alot of jumping around becasue I'm on the second floor of our apartment building and don't want to P-Off the neighbors. Congrats on the dress and you are kickin major bootie on the workouts!
ChickieChicks: Congrats on day 61 and welcome to the challenge! this is the best bunch of ladies ever! WE all are very supportive and helpful :)
I didn't something else too to get me back on track. I called the Alli customer service line, and has them de-activate my acct, so I could start a new one. I'm starting fresh with the steps because looking back I didn't learn alot going through it and I want this to be a life style change and I want to do it right. So back to week one on Alli and back to the basics for me eating.
I"ll check back on here later, I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

I think I'm going to change my Labor Day goal. According to Alli I should be focusing on the first 5% weight loss which is 134 lbs. So I will change my goal which may be less of a challenge but I want to focus on my small goals and if I meet that and still have more time I'll lower it. :)

Awesome work guys!!
Jdonato: Sometimes smaller goals are good! Do what you feel is right!!
For 30DS I suppose it could be kinda noisy. There's some jumping jacks and running in there.. try it out and see I suppose. Maybe try a time during the day that the neighbor isn't around or wouldn't care? Maybe not too early or too late in the day.
Last night I ended my day with a plate of roasted veggies and a salad. I did the 8mile ride, which felt great! I'm quite happy and satisfied that was able to pull it together. I was about 150cals over, but I got all my nutrients and healthy food in there!
Today, I'm planning on biking around. I might take my bike on errands instead of the car. We'll see though! I'd like to get 15-20miles in. Otherwise, I may do 30ds as well since I haven't really done it much this week. I've been biking a lot more LOL!
Later chickies!!

Hello! Hope everyone has a great Friday! I see that lots of people are keeping at it and Jiggle is giving us that nugget of guidance. I am in that pit of pity...the scale went up this week...I have stayed in calories and have been exercising so I am mad:{.....that will do nothing for me so I will have to get over it and keep going. I want these last 10 pounds gone!....

Jdonato- Woo hoo for overtime! :-) Sounds like starting fresh is the way to go. No guilt for anythign "before"...just a clean slate and new attitude. I think the 5% goal sounds very realistic! I've been beating myself up lately about weight loss, and how slow I perceive it to be going, but 5% is a BIG deal.
Kym- Sticking to the plan AND excerising IS a big deal! What kind of workin gout are you doing? I'm trying just about everything right now. It's been so long that everything is still fun and new. LOL
K15- Sigh....scales suck. I personally hate mine. I swear it mocks me silently from the corner of the bathroom. ;-) This may be silly, but I don't ever let myself think that I've gained any weight back. I'm 100% committed to my diet and exercise, so if the scale bounces back up 1-3 pounds...what on earth more could I have done???? I don't even count it...just keep trucking and know that it will soon get back where it was and I will keep counting from there again. Helps me, I guess.
I did Zumba this morning. The lady on Friday is my fave, and I love ending the week with her class. I was pretty proud of myself, b/c I wore a TIGHT workout top for the 1st time today. No baggie tank tops that don't fit....an actual true-to-size stretchy top. Phew....it took guts, but I actually felt pretty good.
Have a great Friday everyone! We have Parent's Night Out tonight, so Iget to hang with the hubby and friends.

k15g15 ~ I hate those weeks :( Just stay strong and know that, like Chickie said, if you are sticking to your plan you shouldn't look at it as a gain! Hang in there...you are soooo close to goal!! :)

Emme: Thank you! I made my goal for the day! 16.3miles. My body was beat today, not exactly sure why so it was a slower ride. But I did it! WOO HOO!!
Food has been good so far. Hubby is talking of going to the Italian festival, so that might change a little LOL. Otherwise, today I tried on a pair of shorts that barely fit last week. I ended up wearing them for my ride today since they fit perfectly!! That's exciting! Next week I plan to remeasure my general areas to see my progress that way as well!!
Keep it movin' chickies! We're all doing awesome!! :carrot: :carrot:

jdonato- I knew you could do it, Conrats on the loss!
Walked 31min & had 1269 calories. Ate clean all day, no sweets were in the house. Weight stayed the same yesterday & today, that's ok. I'm so happy with the new variety of foods I'm eating. I'm cooking & baking alot, that way I can make it healthy, the possibilities are endless! Love it! This is what I need to do to finally be happy with maintenance and with life in general, food must be very powerful. Sad, but true for me!

Hola chicas!
Weighed in at 120 yesterday. Which is good, because that's my goal and my challenge goal is to stay that, but I won't lie and deny the fact that I was hoping to be a little under that! I've been doing well on 1370 calories and have been super balanced food wise. Exercise has also been going well and consistent!
Fruit- I hear ya! Glad to hear you're enjoying the variety. I need to start looking into more variety, I think. I love the foods I eat, but sometimes when I'm looking for protein I wish I had a few more options!
TDI- That's awesome! :carrot:
Emme- You too, and a wonderful weekend!
Chickie- Welcome!
K15- Sometimes I just want to break the scale! Maybe you're building muscle and your body is holding onto the water weight. Ha, that's one thing I always blame it on. Who knows what goes on with our bodies sometimes? I'm eating under maintenance and keeping up my exercise, so I'm a little surprised myself that I didn't lose.
Jdon- I looove overtime! I don't get the opportunity to get a lot of it, but always appreciate the bonus! Glad to hear you're adjusting well!
Lemon- That sticker idea is great. I may have to try it myself as well!!
Scottie- Sounds like you've got a great plan!
Alright ladies, let's keep this going!

Good Morning Everyone!!
I missed you guys yesterday. We traveled all night Thursday to get to my mom's and I was busy with my mom and getting ready for her 80th birthday party which is today. I think from the night of traveling I gained a few ounces and I think I was miserably below my calorie range. Didn't come close to my water intake so I'm not sure where my body is and I'm very tired from not resting after arriving yesterda. I will get back in my groove today and since I had a hand in the menu there are lots of things I can have but there is a plenty I can't have. So I will be watching what I put on my plate today. All of my family members noticed my weight loss since they saw me Christmas. Even my oldest sister who before I started this journey told me I looked pregnant...Yea that's the kind of family we have...honest at any cost!
JD - Congrats on the loss!!! I'm very proud of you and how you are making the adjustments and getting yourself prepared for this to be your life. That's great!!! I think as you making the gradual changes will produce better results. :bravo: 30 Day Sherd is GREAT. I will always be greatful for that workout. It was what I used at the beginning of this journey and the inches were coming off and muscle toning was pretty awesome. By the end of 30days my body felt like a different body. I say go for it!!
Chicke - :welcome: to the Losing Class!!! 100 day Challenge what a cool idea. Keep up the great work!!!
Tdiprincess - Thanks for encouraging the crew while I was out!!! You can keep that going too. :D
Fruitlady - Glad you are finding a good balance for yourself!! :carrot:
Corinne - I know I have a while before maintanence but I like hearing about how everyone does it. I'm planning for maintanence now so when I get there I have a plan so I'm prepared to maintain my hard work.

Another great morning ladies! I weighed in this morning at 138.8. I knew I could do it! I stayed OP yesterday, only I think 70 calories over, but it was all clean food. Today I'm going to keep to the same schedule and eating, except the bf wants sushi for dinner. It's not unhealthy but just high in calories and fat, so I'm going to really try and play it safe. Also he wants to go see the Harry Potter movie, so I will do everything in my power not to have popcorn or snacks.
I'm really starting to itch to work out, I'm going to make a schedule and try to stick to it.
tdiprincess: Thanks for the info for 30DS and congrats on the bike riding! that's alot! keep up the great work :)

fruitlady: Thank you , You are doing amazing, and keep up the baking, iI would love some of the recipes, I need some healthy treats around the house. the bf's crappy food is out of the house too now, so it's easier for me to keep OP. We can do it! :)
CorinneIrene: you are doing so awesome maintaining! Really proud of you :)
Jiggle: :hug:you are an amazing woman and thank you so much for your support. I'm glad you have healthy options for the party and your daily nugget is on the money today! Thank you again.
I have to get back to work, I hope everyone has a wonderful OP day!

Well the weight is still dropping. To me it defies logic that upping from 1200-1400 per day to 1700-1800 per day would result in loss, but it has. Another 2lbs since I weighed in post vacation on Monday.
Yesterday I had a blow out:
B- protein shake with banana (300)
L- 1/2 leftover enchilada, beans, chips (400)
S- cheese and triscuits (300)
D- pizza and beer (1100)
S- nibbled on "babycakes" from local bakery while watching TV with hubby (who the heck knows how many calories)
All in all, probably over 2500 calories on the day. Yikes! So I expected an upward bounce this morning if for no other reason than water retention. But no. I was down. Also note the lack of veggies. It was a bad, bad day!
I did swim for 3 hours (45min treading water and underwater challenges-all fun-no laps) so maybe that helped save me from myself.
Today I plan to eat correctly to make up for yesterday. Going to do some yard work too, tilling up another garden area and laying stepping stones... so I will probably hit the pool after that and I would like to get a nice bike loop in in the evening when it cools down.
B- all bran cereal with non fat milk and blueberries
L- chicken sandwich on whole wheat deli flat dragged through the garden
D- greek turkey burger, beet salad, sugar snap peas
S- to be determined.... right now I don't even feel like eating for the rest of the day

Hola Chicas...I can NOT get into the personals flow, IDK what is wrong with me; I HAVE to get on it next week, I miss knowing what's up with you guys and how can we encourage eachother when I don't say anything to anybody?!?!?!?!
Anyway, I have been between 233 and 234 for about 2 weeks maybe...I finally saw 232.8 this morning and I'm updating my stuff, because I need to see a different darn number! LOL anyways, I'm going to take some time on Sunday and read through the WHOLE thread, I have to go into work today (BLEH) have a good one ladies and push on through!

Fit4Lyfe - I always update just as soon as I see a new low in the AM. I know that it may not be quite that low the next day, but I do not care! I saw it so I claim it. ;) This is why I am officially 178.8 today, but my profile says 178.4
1 year ago today I posted my first post on 3FC on this thread from last year. I am down 24lbs. Sometimes I start in with the coulda shoulda woulda's and I remind myself that I can not change the past, but I can be proud of my accomplishments! 59 lbs down from 2 years ago and 24lbs from last year...I'll take it!!!

Congrats to everyone who has lost weight or is hanging in there! It's hard when the scale doesn't do what you want.
MOST of my water weight is finally gone, I'm still up one pound but I'm planning on drinking a little more water than normal to finish flushing it out of my system. I don't think I will have lost weight by Monday because of my couple bad days, but that's okay. I'm perfectly happy with a stalemate. :)
jdonato - Congrats on your loss! I have my fingers crossed for Monday when I do my weigh-in! I bought ridiculously sparkly and colorful stickers to award myself with and the last couple of days they've acted as a great incentive to sticking OP. :)
CorinneIrene - Definitely try it if you think it'll help! I have the calender that I put them on posted in my living room so it's in my line of sight a lot of the time. The last couple days if I had a craving, I'd just look at the stickers I've gotten so far so that I could visualize my progress and the cravings pass.

Hey chickies!! Everyone is doing great and seems like they're having fun for the first part. Minus some scale hatin' going on :D
Lemonzest: I love the idea of the stickers. I may use that idea!! Also, great job on getting the water weight off!! YAY!! :carrot:
fruitlady: Awesome work on keeping the house a clean healthy environment. It does give great satisfaction to cook and bake healthy foods!!
Corrinne: Congrats on making it to goal and maintenance! Keep up the awesome work! You are a great motivating factor!! :carrot:
Jigglefree No problem on encouraging the chickies, although I was encouraged by all the ladies as well, so I think we could call it an interchange of encouragement!! I LOVE the nougat for today. Especially since it is my "cheat" day. I will be keeping those words in mind so that I don't overdo it and still have a healthy day!! Thank you!!
Jdonato: Keep up the awesome work!! Thanks for the encouragement with the biking! I really am enjoying it. Doing stairs today has been a bit rough! :carrot:
h82sweat: I still adore your screename!! You are doing really awesome! I think everything in moderation goes for how much and what we eat sometimes in way of healthy food. Sometimes our body just wants some yummy tasty "goodies". In moderation, fats and sugars have their place. Today is my "cheat" day where I have a few extra calories, okay quite a bit more, but make sure I still eat mostly healthy with some treats in there. My body feels great afterward! In the past I'd just eat junk all day and feel like complete junk afterward. Now I know when to stop so I enjoy it!
fit4lyfe: You are one busy chick!! Keep up the awesome work! You're doing very well!! :carrot:
envelope:That is really awesome work you've been doing!! Great way of looking back and knowing you enjoyed the journey. It may have been slow, but you enjoyed it and were productive too!!
As I mentioned a couple times, today is my freeday. I will be having fruit shortly and some healthy food. But then it is off to our Italian festival. But we will be walking, so at least it should end up being around a 3.5mile walk all said and done. Not a fast one, but at least it'll help a little :P
Otherwise, I'm feeling great! My legs are a touch sore when doing stairs today after the bike ride yesterday. I was also quite tired and didn't want to get out of bed but had to. I came home and took a nap! Now I feel much better!!
See you chickies later!! Keep it movin'!! :carrot: :carrot:

envelope- Your persistence has paid off! I really hope to be here in a year and say, "I'm still going strong". That counts for so much. Have you changed the way you diet/exercise since the beginning?
fit4lyfe- I would change my ticker, too, if I had one. LOL I write my weight down in my food journal, and it does stink to see the SAME THING for a long time. made me hate 156! ha, ha.
Stinky week here, blaming it on TOM. I'm finding it hard to be flexible, especially when going out. last night actually worked out, though, and I had 2 glasses of wine. Yea!

Corinne- thank you!
jdonato- eating clean works every time! so happy for you!
jiggle- my mom's B-Day is today too, she turned 79yrs old. Your mom & my mom are almost exactly the same age!
tdiprincess- Before dieting I ate frozen meals, never cooked. Past 3 yrs. I've been loving to bake & cook!
Took two walks, 50min. total. Had 2340 calories, ate 1.5 cups of ice cream after lunch cause I was still hungry & made my healthy version of veggie lasagna w/ whole wheat noodles, you can't taste the difference & the family loves it. That was dinner for me, it put me over calories. It will be interesting to see what happens with my weight. Haven't had any type of pasta for 3 yrs. that was one of my taboo foods. I think i'll skip having any tomorrow, I want to make chicken & zesty summer veggies for dinner. That way I don't have to eat the same dinner two nights in a row.
Lost .5lb more, it's going very slow. I'm averaging 1800 calories a day, I'm not feeling deprived & tend to eat high calories every other day. Other days in the 1200's. My weight stays the same for 2 days, then I drop a half pound, it is interesting to see how my body reacts to all these different but healthy foods I haven't eaten in 3 yrs. Baking a banana cake tomorrow, can't wait for that!

Some of the shoulda woulda coulda's are about the months at a time that I did not continue to CC. I need the accountability to myself. Somehow if I am not counting, I do not eat the way I should. The loss has not exactly been slow, I just had times over the last year where I did not count, and I was not being accountable to me, so I regained some. I am now at the lowest weight I have been in years.

So, I had a not great week last week and ended up retaining a lot of water because of all of the garbage I had eaten. I got on the scale this morning and not only did all of the water come off, but I lost a pound! I didn't think I'd lose anything at all this week so I'm pretty ecstatic. :)

Good afternoon, ladies! I took the weekend off working out, which is always so hard, b/c I end up really wanting to. But then I overdo it, blah, blah, blah. ;-) I weighed this morning and am FINALLY in the 140s!! Haven't been there since 2005. LOL
I kicked my own butt totday, although not intentionally. I went to the gym to do 1-2 miles on the treadmill and some arm/ab weight stuff. Did the weight circuit and abs and then ran a mile. I had to take a break to drop the kids at Y swim lessons, but last time I was able to keep working out. Now they needed me to stay for the lessons. No biggie, except I really wasn't planning on it, so I felt my worjout wasn't complete. After getting home, I packed the kids lunch up and we hit the neighborhood in the double jogger. Did 1 mile run, 1 mile walk. It cracks me up every time I run with the jogger now, b/c I NEVER had done that since the day I bought it, and my kids are 3 and 5. Ha, ha. I used the poo out of that thing, but never for working out!
So then I felt super accomplished, showered up, etc. Hubby gets home and decides to finally finish splitting and piling the last bit of wood sitting in our yard. So why not help?!? AUGH! As usual, I get so crazy and now I feel like butt, even after laying down for an hour. OCD is such a double-edged sword. I never have to worry about motivation, but it's hard to stop once I get started, so it almost always leads to burnout. Conquering that has been one of my biggest challenges this time.
Anyhoo....yeah for 140s and boo for psycho working out. I'm even today, I guess. ;-)

Hey, I do that too! But once a week, usually on Friday morning or Saturday morning...whichever is the lowest, lol
I am super busy at work, we have 3 humongous events coming up back-to-back-to-back and they are working us hard. I've been going to the gym 6 days a week, and twice a day whenever I can. I am really starting to love all of the classes and variety I can take; I can't create my own high-calorie burning workouts, but I can attend someone else's and feel just as good. I'm getting my water down and just trying to push through, I'm taking it one day at a time and I threw away the "all or nothing" approach; I used to mess up Monday morning and say, " oh crap, gotta start next week" and proceed to eat like a cow the next 6 days. Now, I mess up, I fix it THAT DAY. Sorry to get all introspective, but I'm seeing new lows these past few weeks and it's making me think about what's working for me and what's not. See ya ladies...remember, WE CAN DO IT, there is NO reason we don't deserve our best bodies and our health!

Lori- WTF? That is just insane. I am SO SORRY! IS she mad about something, as irrational as it may be?? Wow. Anything to do with kids and CPS is a mother's worst nightmare. I was having post-partum anxiety with my 2nd, and i told the pediatrician (bad idea) and they mandated I get a psychological check-up before being able to see my baby again. My husband had to come pick me up, take me to my "analysis" and I spent hours explaining that I NEVER did anything...I simply told the pediatrician my concerns about feeling so awful and asking about anti-anxiety meds. It was the WORSt, i mean, WORST day of my life. I couldn't sleep for weeks b/c I thought someone would show up at my door and take my babies. Makes me want to cry just thinking about it. the system is in place for a reason, I know that, but i hear so any stories of people getting hassled for no reason, and it really shakes your world. Major hugs!

Lori- Kids can be so ungrateful, I've been through so much crap with my son & my daughter sometimes. Take care & don't let anyone ruin your success!
Saturday & Sunday went over calories, today was a disaster at 3500! I made sure i did extra exercise all the days I went over calories. Today walked twice, total of 45min. It's so hot here, I couldn't be out too long. I'm gonna see a big gain, I'm tempted not to weigh myself for about 3 days and eat all healthy. Then I won't have to see the gain! All the crappy food is gone now, hubby just finished it off. I'll be safe tomorrow, I was feeling too free cause I allow myself to eat what I want as long as I eat all three healthy meals.

Fruitlady: When I have a really bad few days, I skip weigh-in for the week, just because I already know! Seems like you're getting back on track though. I hope the food was tasty!! :D
I finished the day in my target calorie range, a bit high. I ate a TON of junk. Well a medium cherry coolatta and then a whole bunch of chips with dip. Needless to say my dinner consisted of a nice salad. Then I had some milk with a protein powder shake mixed in and a small piece of chocolate LOL.
I also did 30mins of really recreational swimming, 20mins 30ds and 25mins crazy circuit training. It felt good to workout that hard though!
I did it in my basement though since it's so hot and humid. The basement was much cooler!

Hola chicas bonitas!
So, I had a bad weekend food wise. Saturday was okay, didn't go over calories by too much. But Sunday, I had a calorie bomb of 2200 cals. Considering, it's not too bad. I ate it all in the first half of the day and didn't eat the rest of the night because I was so full. And, I'm ashamed to admit, I purged. At work. My old food issues cropped up.
Later that night, my co-worker found the slip of paper on which I had calculated my calories. I was so embarrassed because I had told her I wasn't eating dinner because I had had out of date yogurt and my stomach was turning. Well, my stomach was turning and she found out the truth. So, I was caught in a lie. She didn't say anything to me about it, but it has been bothering me since and I hope to explain myself to her. I have been having paranoia about who she told, but I have to except that this happened for the better and made me accountable.
I am VERY pleased to admit that after I got home, I took a long shower and "overcame" my issues. I simply told myself that I am STRONG and I have conquered this- that it was only a minor blip on the radar. And yesterday I did wonderfully on plan! I wasn't able to exercise, but I plan on doing extra today. I feel so recharged now. I'm also dealing with some other things, but I've realized none of these things will not kill me. I am strong and I will be fine.
I weighed yesterday morning after I ate my breakfast and came in at 120.2- so, that's great! I had the food weight in my belly so I don't consider that .2 a gain (I wouldn't anyway, but it helped justify it in my head).
Lori- So sorry to hear that! Sounds like she is jealous of your success and the only way for her to stab back is to spread lies. Hopefully she'll get a good figurative smack on the head and see where she is wrong. And THANK YOU! I can't believe I'm here!
TDI- I love working out in my basement. My treadmill is down there so it's the perfect set up! Anywhere else and I'm dying! I hear you on the junk food. This weekend was bad for me with all the sugar I had. Ugh!
Fruit- Yes! Resist the scale! I always tend to avoid it when I know I've gained and I think it's been better for me that way. Sometimes the number is too stressful and backfires on me.
Envelope- Glad to hear your daughter is doing better. Hopefully the heat won't put too much stress on her lungs!
Fit- Major props! You're doing fantastic!
Chickie- Yay for being active! I have to say, I love stacking wood/doing the outdoor things. They're workouts without feeling like workouts!
Ann- Welcome! Never too late to join!
Lemon- You're doing great!!

Good Morning Chickies!!!
I'm back home, at work and my good old routine. I weighed myself this morning and thankfully I only gained a pound while away. I'm thinking it's water weight so I will be watering my body today to see how it goes the rest of the week. I had a blast with my family though.
I will say that the changes that I have made in my eating had an impact on my family. I made some beef kabobs and chicken kabobs. Used Mrs Dash, and Kitchen bouquet for Marinating and put them on the grill. They were fabulous. My husband did a Chicken Spaghetti using whole wheat pasta, chicken breast, low sodium cream of chicken and mushroom soup seasoned with Mrs Dash and no salt. Everyone loved it. My brothers wanted to know if he has any health issues that made him change and he said no. We just decided to get healthy and make sure our daughter will be healthy and have good eating habits.
I'm so far behind on personals so I'll just do a few.
Tdiprincess - Sounds like not any real damage done with the workouts so count it as a win!!
Fruitlady - I think you are going to be fine. Just remember to stay focused on your plan. As we all know there are going to be days that you just have to chalk up to the game.
Lori - I will say she will come to herself and realize that you are good to her. The bf and his mother will only be there for so long and then they will be ready for her to move. Friends will only be there for so long. I've been where she is and I can promise you a change is going to come. It took me three years to realize that damage I did to my relationship with my parents and it was a hard road back. But you do come back!!
Fit4Lyfe - Those workouts sound fabulous. Sounds like you are in your groove so keep up the good work. The results are so worth it!!

Ugh yesterday was bad.
B- protein shake with banana (300)
L- deli flat with too much PB (like 3 tbls) (400)
D- 1 slice pork tenderloin and greek salad (350)
S- 1 serving vegetarian lentil soup (160)
1210
Sounds good so far, right?
Add in grapefruit slices, 3 servings of triscuits, a serving of cheese and two frozen fruit bars for another 600 calories!
Yikes! I just can't seem to get into the groove of eating with a plan again after my vacation. It isn't so much the amount as the choices and when I gave in to them. Felt like a binge, felt out of control, felt like the bad old days of my eating disorder.
I did 30 minutes medium intensity workout on the treadmill and upper body toning with free weights. Too hot to go for a bike ride or even a walk.
So I am thinking that today is going to be a water cleanse day, like a system check, just to get myself back on track and focused on my goal. At the moment, 20lbs down, I seem to have taken my eyes off the prize.
I will be 150lbs by Labor Day and able to run 3 miles in 30 minutes and bike a 20 mile route in 1hr 30min. I WILL. I will NOT give up. I WILL get myself under control. I will NOT wallow in self pity over how hard this can be. I WILL remember that my life is worth this effort.
I wish everyone a successful day with no stress in it. A day of being happy being ourselves and remembering that we are strong and capable and worth every effort to be healthy. A day where we don't hurt ourselves with word, thought or deed and in which we don't allow anyone else to either.

Thanks for the welcome everyone.
Ugh, Lori, that sounds so stressful. I hope she comes to her senses soon.
of course as soon as I write that I'm doing great with my eating, I have a "stress eating" day and get to 2600 calories. On the good side, I've been painting the exterior of my house, so I get about 4 hours of hard labor in every night, and that (usually) keeps me from the fridge as well.
Today I have a potluck at work. I need to go for a couple of reasons, but I'm determined to keep my eating under control. It's only about 8 people so there won't be TOO many temptations. We'll see.

PHAT- hope your feeling better now, take care of yourself.
I'll be safe tomorrow, I was feeling too free cause I allow myself to eat what I want as long as I eat all three healthy meals.
im guilty as charged as well for going over calories this past weekend.. sometime it just happens.. but keep pushing!
The basement was much cooler!
swimming is a good burn :) try to stay cool in this humidity!
Lemon- You're doing great!!
dont feel bad about the off plan weekend, it seems like we all have slipped up in some way! maybe its the heat! & dont feel embarrassed about your coworker even though i understand, you dont owe an explaination to anyone!! :) lol keep up the good work & exercise..

Walked 47 min. & ate 2660 calories, not good! It's been in the 90's & humid here, making it feel like 100 degrees. Thurs. thru Saturday it's gonna be even worse! I like to take two walks, but this heat is unbearable, it gets hard to breath and I have to turn around and go home.
I'm having a hard time returning to my normal calorie range, once you get in the habit of going over, it's hard to cut back!
Today was 1000 lower than yesterday, so I hope I'm on my way down to a normal range.
I took all of your advice and didn't weigh in today, didn't want to ruin my happiness for the day. But now I'm thinking maybe I should have. Maybe seeing a high number would have scared me into eating better today.

Lori - you know you can block her posts from showing up on your page. You don't have evict her from your friends list and instead of reading the messages just delete them so that you aren't bothered by them.
Fruitlady - When it gets hard to go back just try lowering them by 100 instead of going from 2500 to 1500. It may work better for you.
Momto4girls - :welcome3:We are working it out in this group. So hop on in and join the fun!!
P H A T - You are rocking it and I hope your AC is back on!!! I hate the heat too much for the air to go out.
Ann71 - How did you do at the potluck?
H82Sweat - Yes you will make your goals.
Yesterday was below calorie range but I included chips and the grease in them was nasty. I was upset because I WASTED ALL THOSE CALORIES. But it's all good today. I have all my foods and they are low calorie but filling. YAY!!!

Good morning ladies,
So after this weekend I got down to 137.8 and was feeling great! Then Monday for my softball game (our team decided to dress up 80's theme) I had pizza and lots of beer. So I'm working off the bloat now. I was 140.0 this morning. I don't regret eating and drinking. For me starting over again I decided to allow myself to drink once a week and eat what I want once a week. I'm starting to work out now and normally before I would eat dinner before my softball games and then after the game still have beer and pizza, but this time I made the pizza my dinner. I ended up eating less than I normally would so that was a plus!
Back on track with the eating. I know this is going to be a process, and I'm just starting to work out so I can't expect results over night. I have to make this change permantly.
My group at work is having a going away picnic today for 2 people at 2pm. We normally eat lunch at 11, so I made a decision for myself. I'm going to eat my lunch like I normally would and jsut not eat full meat at the picnic. only some veggies and a few snacks that's it. I don't care what people say this is about my health and everyone is complaining about how late the picnic is because of lunch.
Well sorry to rant and go but I have alot of work to finish up. I will try and get back on later for personals. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Good idea, and don't worry about what others say. I do the same thing. Sometimes we'll have meetings where lunch is served, but the meeting is at 1:00, and I usually eat lunch by 11:00 or 11:30. I just eat my lunch as usual and then don't eat anything at the meeting. Or I might just grab an apple or something. People ask, and I tell them. It's no big deal.

Accomplished my fast yesterday and felt fantastic this morning. All hydrated and with a tummy that was easy to fill up with a healthy low cal meal. I also managed to up my speed to 5mph for the first 1.5 miles of a 3 mile run yesterday.
Lori- don't read her abuse but don't delete it either. If it does get ridiculous and CPS shows up you will want those messages to show them. In the meantime I think you have absolutely the right attitude!
Fruitlady- I just did a fast day to get myself back under control. You might be too small to truly fast, but maybe a fruit and water day would work for you?
Momto4- Hiya! My goal is 15lbs too. We can do it!
Jigglefree- I too love the nugget for today. I was really overwrought yesterday trying to figure out what calorie level I should be at and how much I should be exercising and had a tiny emotional breakdown. But I did not break my fast and I feel so powerful as a result!
Jdonato- you KNOW that is all sodium and water bloat :) You did everything you could to minimize the impact of the treat night and I think that is the right way to handle it!
I have to face the grocery store today. Completely out of so many things so that it cannot be avoided. Hopefully going full and post-workout will help!

H82Sweat ~ I hope you have a better day today! I've had days like that, too. It's like I'd get into a panic and freak out about calorie ranges and how much I should exercise, if the exercise is too much for the amount of calories I'm consuming, or maybe it's not enough, or should I up my calories for the amount of exercise, or keep it the same because it will take a few weeks to see a pattern, etc...I could go on and on...it makes my head want to explode. :) And good for you for not breaking your fast!

Excited! 164.5 and my size 12 shorts are loose!!! If that's not motivation I don't know what is...but I have to say this heat is messing with me, weight moves up and down at a ridiculous rate, my water and salt content must be totally thown off. So I'm focusing on my clothes. I bought these shorts 3 weeks ago and they were tight so it's a NSV.

I took a tip and tried the WebMD site and it told me to eat 1350 calories per day and burn off 1000!:dizzy: Jeepers! My run yesterday was just over 400 and I thought about running more than 6 miles per day to do what they suggest and just broke down. I think that site is just stupid.
I decided to stick with my original plan of eating 20% less than my TDEE and increasing the intensity of my workouts weekly instead.
I'll have a slower rate of loss, I suppose, but WebMD's suggestion just didn't seem healthy or sustainable to me........ once I calmed down and got myself rational again ;)

Ohhh, I HATE it when I use a lot of calories on something that turns out to be kind of gross. Did that a week or two ago with frozen pizza and was seriously irritated with myself.
I've been kind of frustrated so far this week. I dropped two pounds last week, and this week went up a pound from that and just STAYED there. I've been right on with the calories every day, and I've been exercising on plan, so I'm not sure what to do. I don't want to drop the calories any farther because I'm breastfeeding and don't want to kill my milk supply (feeding the baby is more of a priority right now than dropping the weight, alas).
I'm considering upping the exercise instead, but I don't know if that's a good idea. I have a history of burning myself out on overly-ambitious exercise plans, plus I'm technically still recovering from my c-section, so I dunno. Bah, humbug. Might just wait it out and hope this short plateau is just a mild bump in the road and will end on its own.

Bigchiefhoho: First, Love your name!! :D Second, I'm sorry about the issues this week! That really does get frustrating when we hold weight!!
I too am holding weight. I think I'm bloated from this weekend and then with all the heat we've been having. I did weigh myself and I'm showing about a pound up from last week. I will wait until next week to count it as official to see if it's just water weight or I actually gained a pound.
On a very happy note though, I took measurements 12 days ago. I decided that since I was having trouble with my scale this week that I would redo the measurements. I am down by 7.5inches all around! That makes me pretty happy. I'm very glad that I took measurements and will now recommend everybody do it. It gives you another perspective than just the scale!!
Keep up the awesome work guys! I'll check in later!! Keep movin'! :carrot:

Sick again! I swear I'm licking the pavement or something...3rd time in 2 months. Ugh. This week has been a blur so far, but I'm coming out of the fog. Made it to Zumba yesterday, but then had this 24-flu junk. I'm traveling with my 2 young boys out of state this weekend, and it will be my first big test of staying on plan away from home. Fingers crossed!
BBL to catch up. Down to 148.5....SO CLOSE to 25 pounds lost.

Buenos manana, munecas!
I'm feeling great this morning. I did my weigh in today because I won't be here tomorrow morning, and weighed in back at 119.4! Very happy! I've been "good" the past few days. I am still secretly working towards 115, but leaving my goal at 120 to keep a 5 pound maintenance range.
Today I'm headed down the NYC to meet up with a friend and hang out for the day/go to a concert on a boat tonight. I'll be spending the night and then coming back up tomorrow as I took the evening off. So excited to be seeing one of my favorite bands. It's going to be a looong day, as I woke up at 5:30 and the concert won't be starting until 12pm and will last about 3 hours. Maybe I can get a nap in! I probably won't quite be "on plan", but technically, I've been planning this indulgence.
K15- Isn't it frustrating? When I first started weight loss, the weight came off so easily until I hit around 127-125. When I restarted with my new goal, I got to 120 pretty quickly too, but bounced back up a little despite "maintenance". Now, I'm eating the calories/exercising to lose 1.5 pounds a week, but have only lost 12 ounces. Which is still a loss I am thankful for! I guess our bodies just like to be stubborn for the last go around. But, hey, a loss is a loss is a loss! Congrats!
Chickie- Hope you feel better! That sounds rotten. Being sick in the summer is the worst. Congrats on the loss!
TDI- Measurements are sooo important, I've realized. I can look in the mirror and not notice any difference until I measure- then I can really see where those pounds have gone!
Bigchief- You're doing great! It could be water weight. Now, I don't know anything about milk supply, but maybe also you weighed when you had a "full" supply? Does that make any difference in the scale? I can relate about wasted calories too. Often times, if I crave something and make room for it, I become so disappointed that it wasn't as heavenly as I had hoped and wish I had just eating something healthy, yummy, and filling instead!
H82sweat- Yeesh! That seems like such overkill- remind me never to use webmd's counter! Definitely keep on keepin' on!
Sumu- :carrot: I love that feeling!
Jdon- That's how I feel- ****, we'll be eating like this the rest of our lives, and everyone fluctuates! Because I haven't been in maintenance for long, I've been beating myself up for the slightest "gain", but I need to learn to get over it and on with life! Cheers!
Emme- Cheers to you!
Jiggle- I hate wasted calories too! I've definitely been better at spending them on truly satisfying indulgences. I used to eat cheap candy as a treat but now the thought of that turns my stomach- I'd much rather have a better indulgence...like godiva pumpkin truffles...heh. Love you nugget, especially after my binge. I am thankful that I do no binge anywhere near where I used to- and then starve myself for days. That is over with!
Momto4girls- Welcome!!
Lori- Hope things get better!
Fruit- This heat is killer! Hopefully you'll be okay! What I do, with weighing once a week, is look forward to my weigh in day and it pushes me harder, knowing that my overall effort counts. Then, I don't get depressed over minor glitches in a day. But, then again, what works for some doesn't work for others! Do what you need to do!

This exactly!!!! Did that last night with ice cream, and was starving the rest of the night. I had a gift cert. for Cold Stone from some friends and decided to plan for a small frozen yogurt so I could take my boys out to ice cream. We had a fun time, but i wish I would have just skipped eating there and had something when I got back home!!

Good Morning My Fellow Challengers!!!
I'm feeling good and ready for the day. Only thing is I forgot my vitamin drink for today. It is an awesome little thing that gives me loads of energy. I was supposed to drink it this morning as it had me up late last night. It's called zipfizz. It has loads of vitamin b12 and it turns me into the energizer bunny. I tried a full 16oz bottle yesterday around 2pm and it says it gives you 4-6 hours of energy. Maybe that is for extremely active people. I gave me 8 hours of energy and it didn't take long to kick in. I was not happy that I forgot it but such is life. The good thing is I'm not tired this morning. I'm finding that as the years go by I need more for my energy levels. I drank about 3.5 liters of water yesterday. I'm pretty sure I've washed off the past weekend so I will see where I am on Saturday. My birthday is in 2 weeks and I'm praying that I'll be at my birthday goal by then!!! I've gotten intense about my water and my plan. We shall see.
Chickiechicks - I'm guessing you feel better since you went for ice cream. But hey it happens to the best of us and hindsight always steps in to show us how to make better choices next time. :chin:
Corinne - Have fun at the concert and congrats on being back where you want to be. It's very healthy to have a maintenance range so you aren't obsessing over one number. :goodscale
K15g15 - I say be happy even though you would like it to have been more it still adds to the bottom line. :D
Tdiprincess - CONGRATS on the inches. Hopefully the bloat will leave by the end of today if it hasn't already!!
Bigcheif - With you breastfeeding it may be better to stay where you are and increase your water intake. Sometimes the body will retain water for no apparent reason which may account for the holding pattern. If you are recovering from a c-section it may be better to do some mild cardio that won't disturb your healing process. This would also be a good time to practice pacing yourself so you set a pace that is sustainable. Just a suggestion. :?:
H82Sweat - The good thing is you are listening to your body first and foremost. What sounds good for the masses may not be good for the individual. Slow loss is better than no loss or worse still a gain. :^:
JD - You are exactly right it's a process. You made a good choice to make the pizza your dinner and that's what this journey is all about. Making more good choices than bad ones. The more good choices you make the desired results will come.
Today's Nugget: Don't let the scale be your only measuring tool. There are Non Scale Victories that need to be celebrated. The pair of pants that were too tight but now fit, that skirt that wouldn't come past your hips and not you can pull it up and it almost zips, the inches lost, the temptation denied, the .1 pound lost, doing the workout that you didn't feel like doing, getting rid of the water weight gain and so on. These things will eventually get you to the number you want to see on the scale but these are victories as well. So don't get frustrated when the scale tells you something you don't want to hear, find something that will let you know your plan is working. Actually I want everyone to report a Non Scale Victory today.
My NSV - I bought a skirt a couple months ago that fit pretty good but now it's too big and I couldn't wear it today. :carrot::carrot:

I love the nugget!! My NSV is that I noticed that even though my legs still jiggle, they jiggle less LOL!! I don't mind walking around in my undies with this heat. I used to be so uncomfortable!! Oh, and I finally learned what NSV means LOL
Corrinne: Thanks for the support! I'm very happy that I started measuring!
Jiggle: The bloatage has gone down a bit. I was up a pound yesterday, now I'm just up half a pound. It's heading on out!

jiggle ~ Yes! NSVs rock, girl! :) My NSV happened last night: tried on a khaki skort that was too tight last year, but last night it wouldn't stay on my hips and kept falling because it was too big. Made me happy!

tdiprincess - That's great! Measurements are awesome motivation. I just took mine a week ago, so I'm afraid to take them again so soon for fear there won't be a change...
CorinneIrene - Hmm, I don't know if milk makes a difference in weighing. I'll try weighing myself before and after I feed him this morning - you've got me curious!
jigglefree - That energy drink sounds great! I need all the help I can get lately. :D How's it taste? And yeah, pacing myself is important right now - I'm just SO impatient! I'll try to sit tight for a bit and build some good habits instead of pushing it, I think.
Yesterday was pretty good for me. I did my C25K (week 2 day 2), even though I felt totally self-conscious. I run on the track at my husband's military base, and there was a division of Army guys doing PT at the time, which is totally nerve-wracking. They snuck up behind me and almost ran me down while I had my ipod too loud to hear them... But I finished it despite the scary uniformed dudes! :D And my eating was good too - right on track for the day, and healthier snacks than normal. So hurray for me!
My NSV: I can't wear all of them yet, but I can fit in enough of my pre-pregnancy clothes that I FINALLY put my maternity clothes in storage! I'd been wearing them since I had the baby almost eight weeks ago.

Good Morning! (I don't feel like it is but I am attempting mind over matter ;) )
K15g15- a loss is a loss is a loss! About the fasting. I am planning to do intermittent fasting. Once every 4 days I will have a water cleanse day. I have read good things about it being beneficial for overall health. It also worked really well to get my eating habits back under control.
Corrine- hope you have a great time at the concert! Congrats on being under goal!
PHAT- I hope your AC gets fixed and soon! The heat right now is killer.
Jiggle- very good nugget today :) My NSV is fitting comfortably into a pair of my daughter's jeans from American Eagle (they were too big for her so she said I can have them!) and they look pretty good too!
TDI- the heat, I think, is making everything swell. You'll shed that bloat and probably some lbs too.
Emme- Your clothes are literally falling off you then! How cool is that?
BigChief- ditching the maternity clothes is a HUGE victory! So is getting onto that track!
The heat is nuts and I am tired of exercising indoors but I will keep on keeping on and maybe bike to the pool today as well.

Great NSVs! Those make me feel so much better than the darn scale, anyways. ;-)
I had a pretty big one today. After much searching, deliberating and a few tears....I finally found a swimsuit and I wore it for the 1st time today at the Y. I felt a little scandalous at first. It is a Victoria Secret one, so I had some major booby going on. But the NSv part is that I wore regular scoop bottoms. No skirt!
BigCheif- Is your hubby Army? Mine is Navy. He is Spec Ops, so I could never, ever work out near him or his guys. LOL I did lift weights with him in our garage 2 weeks ago, and that was pretty big for me. I love C25K. I'm not following it exactly, but I've been inspired by so many ladies who have done it, so now I am working towards being able to run 3 miles straight. I never did that even when I was young and in shape. Not a distance person. But I've slowly worked my way up to 2 miles. I just hate how I jiggle like mad when running. :-/

Bigchief: I waited 12 days. I think 2 weeks isn't too bad. But, we do get results pretty quickly without realizing it when it comes to inches.
Emme: That is very exciting!! I really do enjoy NSV's!
h82sweat: Thank you! I agree that this heat is just causing us to hold stuff in. By this weekend it is supposed to cool down into the mid-80's for our area. Today it's supposed to get to 95, but the heat index is 100-110.
I am so with you on being TIRED of this heat! I love the summer time, but this heat teamed with the humidity is killer!! I'm tired of not being able to ride my bike :( I would love to ride today, but this is the worst day of the week here for the heat. The next chance I get will be Monday. I am so going on a nice long ride monday!!
Chickiechicks: Congrats!! That is quite exciting! I'm finally starting to get over my hesitation to wear bathing suits!!
Today I have eaten allright so far. We did go out for lunch though. The rest of the day will be light foods. I hope to exercise later, but we might be going swimming and I think I'll just count that as my exercise today. My body is sore from the circuit training yesterday.
Keep it movin' chickies!! :carrot:

Lori I am sorry to hear that your daughter is saying mean things on FB. Children have no clue that what you put on that computer stays there, pictures, words everything. And to disgrace your name with lies is horrible. Someone has filled her head with all of that mess prayerfully she'll come say I'm sorry and make an apology on FB also. Just know that your faith will keep you strong. Don't let the enemy get to you
NSV for me would be that I have finally got my hiney back to walking (though this year it's on the treadmill) but it makes me feel great to walk so I'm happy :)
Thanks Jiggle for the Nuggets, congrats on your NSV ...
Emme congrats on your NSV :)
BigChief that's great for 8 weeks :)
tdi ... great NSV, I need to check that out about my thighs I hate that jiggly skin maybe it's better now. :)
H82Sweat what a great NSV :)
wow you ladies are amazing, keep up the great work
Hi to Everyone I missed
Ok it's been awhile since I've updated. I don't know what I weighed the last time I checked in here. I am at 171.4 as of this morning. My goal for this challenge is to get out of the 170's and stay there so hopefully next week I will make my goal since I keep bouncing back and forth this week :D.

Nope, Navy, but stationed at an Army base so nearly everyone around is Army with a few Marines and Navy here and there. I can't work out with him either - he's in MUCH better shape than I am (plus one of us always has to watch the baby, so even if we were in the same fitness level we couldn't work out together).

I just thought I'd check in to say I'm still here and I still want to do this, but I've been having a pretty rough week so my participation might be a little on the low side for the rest of this week (I hope that's okay). I'm doing okayish with food this week and with exercise, so we'll see how Monday goes when I weigh myself.
I wish everyone luck for the remainder of the week, especially the weekend!

Reading all the NSVs was very uplifting!! It's proof that your plan is working no matter what the pace. The good thing is you are going in the right direction!! I had an awesome day yesterday. I weigh in tomorrow and it will be a good weigh in. I'm working very hard to meet my birthday goal.
Lemonzest - Of course it's okay if your participation is low. Come when you can and hopefully we will have said something that will keep you going!!
Love2b150 - You will make it and because you made it you can stay there and get lower if you desire.
Tdiprincess - Tell me is the bloat all gone?? It seems you have a pretty good handle on your plan and things are going to be well by the end of this challenge.
Chickie - WORK THAT SWIMWEAR GIRL!!! I like NSVs too because they're very satisfying.
H82Sweat - That's pretty awesome fitting your daughter's jeans. Now the two of you can share clothing. WOO HOO!!
BigCheif - OOO the feeling of being able to put away the pregnancy clothes and wear those things you were wearing prior to the "invasion" of your body!!!
P H A T - Hope the AC is back on or the weather is easing up.
What irony...I moved south to get away from the snow, who knew I would escape the extreme heat too!!! It's hotter in the Midwest than it is in the South.
Today's Nugget: No matter how your day was yesterday or the day before. Today is a new day to make things better. You may not be able to make everything better but make as much as you can better. Do something to make today a better day for yourself. Even if that means wearing something that makes you feel better!!

Chickie- Good for you on the swimsuit! One of the things I am most excited about is getting a cute tankini (or even a bikini!) with normal bottoms.
Love2B-you are doing so well! I hope you hit your mini goal soon :)
Lemon- glad to meet ya :) just stop in when you can and I hope your week gets much better.
Jiggle, today's nugget has inspired me to allow a picture to be taken of my whole self. Usually I limit to head shots, but 20lbs, even if I still have 26-30 to go, is an accomplishment I should celebrate. I think I will put on the jeans for it ;)
I was going to push myself into a 5 mile run today but it is ghastly hot again. So today's plan is to hit the treadmill for a good workout, increase my reps for upper body, really work my core, and stay on plan with my eating despite it being Friday!
Hope everyone has a fantastic day and an even better weekend :)

I missed checking in with you all yesterday. My NSV is that I can barely recognize myself in my Drives License Photo.
H82sweat - I can not wait until I can wear a tankini comfortably...I have a long torso, so they do not cover as much as I would like.
Off to clean my car. Can't wait to see how many calories that burns on my BodyMediaFit.

hey butterflies ;; well friday is finally here & im feeling pretty good about this week. I didn't overeat/over-endulge in any way, even though i did have a few cookes, an ice cream sandwich & a couple pieces of candy this week {all things in moderation, right}.. I will be weighing in this weekend to see how I did & how the numbers reflect.. its supposed to be 96 degrees out today so that means i will be doing my workout in the house.. a nice exercise tape should do the trick today..
well ladies, have a wonderful remainder of the day.. ill be in & out today & this weekend! ciao!~

We'll see.
You can do it, if you think of picking up something naughty or too tempting just think, "I can weigh XX lbs by Labor Day I can do this I can do this" sometimes that works for me lol Good luck!
Fit4Lyfe - Those workouts sound fabulous. Sounds like you are in your groove so keep up the good work. The results are so worth it!!
I love that you are getting your whole family involved, my family is determined to stay collectively over-weight forever...and thanks, I am really getting into the workout groove.
Fit- Major props! You're doing fantastic!
I'm sure your co-worker has gone on a diet or 2 herself...she probably just dismissed it and went on with her life, don't stress about it!!!! We all have bad days, I had McDonald's yesterday, big whoop! I'm alive for another day and another fight, and so are you comrade...let's make it happen
hey guys!!! So I half-way sucked yesterday, in that I worked out and everything but I ate out TWICE and one of those times was McDevil's (or McDonalds as you all know it lol) where I ate 800 calories worth of unsatisfying food. But you want to know the weird thing? this morning I weighed in at 231.4!!!!!! But even still weirder? I went back downstairs and then came back upstairs and had a small ahem...BM (sorry TMI but detrimental to the story) and was back up to 232.8 WTF?!?!?!?
Anyway, I took the 231 number and I am going to work my @$$ off this week to officially be OUT of the 230's, and if I am, then I will change my Labor Day goal to a smaller number, but we'll see...anyway, heading to work, Ciao!!!

H82Sweat - WAY too hot for anything outside here, too, but I can't take running indoors. I'm planning on doing my run tomorrow morning before it has a chance to get hot outside.
envelope - Great NSV! I keep all my old IDs around just for kicks.
P H A T - "All things in moderation" is right. :D I'm going to be doing the same thing tonight - we're having a cookout, so I get to work on not eating too much potato salad...
Fit4Lyfe - I hate it when the scale goes up for no apparent reason... I woke up at 7am this morning and weighed myself and got 152.2, then went back to sleep until 8am. Weighed myself then just to see and got 152.6. :?: Not a big difference, I know, but it's just weird.
ScottieMama - Nice! That's a ridiculously hard place for me to lose from - must feel great!
I did pretty well yesterday (stayed on plan, even with a small bowl of GOOD ice cream for dessert!), and was rewarded this morning by being down to my low weight again. We'll see what happens tomorrow - I'm hoping I'm past this plateau. I can't wait until I'm at my pre-pregnancy weight so that I can continue losing where I left off before getting knocked up. It's nice to be dropping back down to that weight, but what I REALLY want is to be hitting uncharted territory (the 130s and below). There's not much exciting about going back to where you've already been, you know?
This weekend looks like it'll be pretty easy, as far as diet goes. We're having a cookout tonight, but I'm taking care to budget for it calorically. I'm planning on having one hamburger and a little bit of potato salad and having enough calories left for a small bit of dessert, so I think it'll all work out. The cookout also means I can't run tonight, but I'm planning on doing it tomorrow morning instead. It'll be cooler then anyway.

Reading everyone's posts is so motivational!
Haven't posted in a few days, been so busy. It's been so hot here the past 3 days, still went out to walk the past two days. Had to go before noon when it was 90deg. instead of later at 100 deg. Today was the worst at 103 deg. the real feel temp. was 115! I couldn't breath outside! So rode the bike inside instead, burned more calories that way too. I was extra hungry because of it, so I went over calories(1766), my maintenance limit. Weight is 116.2lbs. I gained a few days ago, now have 1 lb to go til I'm at the same weight as I was last Saturday.
Going to Atlantic City Monday, Don't think I'll be wearing my 2 piece bathing suits. Don't know if they fit anymore, I'm 8 lbs heavier now. No confidence to wear them now anyway! Guess it's shorts & a tank top for the beach!

Hello! I want to send a big hug to Jiggle! You are giving a big boost everyday with your nuggets! :)
I am doing alright with my calories, not so much with my jogging. The 100 plus heat is killing me this week.
My mom is in the hospital having multiple surgeries and had a set back today so if you pray, please add her to your prayers for healing :)

Top o' the morning, ladies!
I had a fantastic time at my concert. Walked around the city like crazy yesterday and the day before, too. So much so that I definitely lost some poundage! I didn't eat a whole lot down there either, like I had thought I would. It was just too hot, with the heat index around 115. Feels so good to get away, and now I'm back home and ughhh-in over it, haha. Ah well, until next time!
Weighed in at 118.2 this am. And measured at 36", 25.5", 36"! I'm shocked, because I was 27" around my waist just at 120! Crazy how our bodies react. My NSV is fitting perfectly into a snug pair of shorts this morning! :carrot:
k15- Will certainly do. Hope your mom pulls through alright! Don't overdue it in the heat!
Fruit- Have fun in Atlantic City! Hope you're doing okay! I need to invest in a bike, that's something I haven't done in so long. Would be a refreshing change!
Bigchief- You're doing great, keep pushing!
Fit- Yeah, my co-worker is more of an exerciser than a dieter, though, and has a really healthy relationship with food I think- at least more so than I. I spoke with her about it, though, and she's supportive. She's had another friend with disordered eating and has suspected that I had some issues for the past couple of years- go figure! So, I feel much better about that blip now! It wouldn't have been such a big deal if it hadn't been so much like my past behavior- but I can recognize and move on! Thanks for the kind words. You're doing great!!!
Envelope- That is such a great NSV! High fives!
H82sweat- I'm sure you rocked that picture. 20 pounds is a huge accomplishment! I definitely celebrated when I hit that milestone!
Jiggle- Thank you! The NSV's are the best part of weight loss.
Lemon- Hope your week gets better hun!
Love2be- :carrot: Nice job!
TDI- Swimming is such great exercise! I haven't gone swimming since my Montauk vacation and I seriously should. I'm trying to switch back to more low impact exercise since I've been doing running lately, but it's hard to get away from the runner's high, haha. A day like today would be so nice for a swim.
Chickie- Congrats!!

It's going to be a great day!!! I weighed in this morning and I've lost 3lbs since last week's weigh in and that doesn't include the pound I gained while at my mom's last week. I'm not counting that because it wasn't supposed to be there and I think it was just water weight. :carrot::carrot::carrot: That's three dancing carrots and I'm very happy!!
Corinne - Sounds like you had a great time but it's good to have you back. YAY for the NSV!! I know all the walking and intense heat helped you not do the extra indulging. Great away trip!!
K15g15 - I prayed for you mom this morning and will continue to but would like it if you would keep us updated as much as you are able. Thanks for the hug. Glad the nuggets are helping. They are helping me too...I'll get to that later in this post.
Fruitlady - Have fun in Atlantic City but I think you would be okay with the two piece. We are our own worst critics when it comes to our bodies.
BigChief - Hope the cookout was fun. You are doing great and should be ready for all of your pre pregnancy clothes in a few more weeks!!
ScottieMama - That is a really cool NSV...I'm almost jealous especially since my thighs are not seeming to cooperate.
Fit - How are things going for you? Did you get out of the 230s yet. My biggest struggle was getting out of the 225-220. Once you get your groove it will come off.
Envelope - I LOVE your NSV!!! It made me look at my driver's license photo and I think I may need to get a new one.
H82Sweat - Glad you took the picture. I think it's healthy to take pictures at all stages because you can see your progress when you look at them as opposed to relying on the mirror to see changes. Can you post the pic so we can see it?
This is going to be a lengthy but worth the read!
Okay back to my statement that the daily nuggets help me too. I was at work and feeling espcially good about my sticking to my plan without any slipups. Well my wonderful director comes over to our area with this pretty little cake plate and it was full of red velvet cupcakes. The cupcakes were even pretty. I don't even like cake but they were so pretty and the presentation was tempting. She was on cupcake catwalk. I got upset and said to myself this right here is the devil...!! My coworker that sits in the cube behind me got in cahoots with her and making the whole yum sound and talking about how good they were. I told them they were doing way too much but I still wasn't going to eat one. Even though they were small I refused to eat one. Then I said you know what I will take one for my daughter. My director knows that I don't allow my daughter to have candy and sweets on the regular. So she said, "You know you aren't going to give her that cupcake because you don't let her eat junk"! I said, "Yes I do but it's sparingly and since it's Friday it won't matter if she's up late and it will be only after she eats her dinner." So I took one and put it in the fridge. Well I walk to the bathroom and there on the table where the guest would sit is a box of oatmeal raisin and chocolate chip cookies. I was like she is going overboard now. So I asked her why she was putting out all this junk food when she knows most of us don't eat it. She said, "It's Friday and as much as you workout an indulgence won't hurt you"! At this point it became a battle of wills for me. I let the rest of the office "indulge" but I was going stand my ground and I did. In one of the daily nuggets I was encouraging you to stand for your health. Well I stood and I was victorious!!:woohoo: I was so proud of myself. It made it better for my loss this week as well. Even though I post the nuggets I use them too.
Today's Nugget: Don't waste your time around people that tolerate you or don't like you. Don't even waste your time thinking about it or trying to fix it. Spend your time around people that CELEBRATE YOU. If you don't have any in your immediate environment or no one is online at that moment learn to CELEBRATE YOURSELF!!! It's healthy to love and celebrate you!!

H82Sweat and CorrineIrene - Thank-you both for your kind words. :) I'm hanging in there still!
Jigglefree - It's always inspiring to come on here and read about other people's successes--especially because I know a lot of the other ladies in this thread are going through much more difficult times than I am and are still staying strong and optimistic. Your daily nuggets are always very helpful to read! And congrats on your loss! :)
k15g15 - I hope your mom pulls through everything, she'll be in my prayers!
My nonscale victory for this week is maintaining some control over my eating disorder. It makes most days a little challenging but I know food doesn't need to control my life and if I happen to overeat a little, it isn't a good reason just to give up on that day.
Congratulations to everyone on their successes!!!
Just as a side note, I was wondering how everyone deals with their weigh-ins during TOM? Mine's coming up in the next day or two and I can feel my hands getting bloated. When I weighed in on Friday I was at 191.6, should I just count that as my weigh-in until next Monday or just wait and see how bad it is?

Ooh ScottieMama, I wish my weight would vacate from my thighs! Great news about your loose fitting shorts!
k15g15: I'll be thinking of your mom. Hope everything is improving.
woohoo, jigglefree, keep it going!
LemonZest: If you know you're going to be bloated, I vote for skipping the weigh in.
I've been not so good this weekend. I made cookies for an event and then someone brought a cake, so I took the cookies back home- mistake! They were good. :o
But I've also done a crazy amount of exercise this weekend, so I don't think the damage will be huge.

Lately I have been so sore on Mondays, thank goodness I do not need to be doing anything today.

jigglefree - Wow, that thing with your director and the sweets would irritate me SO much! As if it's HER place to decide when it's time for you to indulge...
LemonZest - I usually weigh every day, so at bloat-y times I just mark down the weight as usual and then I can look back in a week and see it as just a bump on the weight graph. If I weighed less regularly, I'd probably not weigh during TOM to avoid getting discouraged by a gain.
ann71 - Hey, as long as you get right back on track...! And sounds like you're doing that with the exercise.
It's weird, but I kind of love Mondays now. Weekends always throw everything for a loop, so it's nice to get back on the normal predictable schedule for the week.
This weekend went pretty well. I went over by about two hundred calories on Friday (miscalculation on how many calories are in a small wedge of cheesecake), did great on Saturday (DH made chicken and zucchini on the grill, yay!), and did fine yesterday. I'm pretty proud of how I did yesterday. I made sausage lasagna and a from-scratch pound cake, and I ate reasonable measured portions of each and then sent the leftovers to work with DH today so I'm not tempted. I figure it's good all around - the guys at DH's work like getting free baked goods, and I get the fun of baking without devouring an entire loaf of pound cake. Win-win.

Good Morning Ladies
Today is going to be a great day!!! I had a hectic weekend. The fridge went out Saturday after we returned from the grocery store and then later that evening the A/C went out. Talk about miserable. So we called the landlord and told him about the fridge earlier that day. He said he'd get a new one on Sunday and any food lost he would replace. Ok cool. We waited until Sunday Morning to tell him about the a/c. Then I went to see about the food in the fridge and what do you know it's working. GO FIGURE. The a/c was repaired the latter part of yesterday...about 6pm and it was hot as the devil...thank heaven for ceiling fans.
I have three more pounds to go to reach my birthday goal. I'm hoping to reach it by this weekend and have room for a little extra for my birthday, because surely for that day I will splurge. I'm looking forward to this week because my birthday is getting close. I LOVE BIRTHDAYS ESPECIALLY MINE!!!
LemonZest - Thanks. It's my goal to encourage everyone including myself. As for the weigh in during TOM, I see where I am and ride it out, hoping for the best. It's the hardest time for me because I get all kinds of cravings and will over eat if I don't satisfy them.
Ann - It doesn't seem like you have done any real damage. Chalk it up and keep going.
Emme - Hope you have a great week as well. Stay focused and make great progress.
Envelope - Sounds like you are on track and goal is in reach!! Let's keep it going!!
BigCheif - The funny thing about my director (but not so funny) she thinks as the director she has a say in everything from if we have panty lines, why we should wear pantyhose, to when I've lost enough weight. I just look at her and keep it moving. I do me. As long as there is no complaint about my work or something having to do with my job I could care less. I just let her know where I stand and I keep standing.
Today's Nugget: I once heard it said that your presence should demand an explanation. When you walk into a room people what to know how you do what you do. So as we are working on our health let it demand an explanation how you are looking and feeling GREAT!!

Happy Monday everyone. I would like to join the Labor Day Challenge..
I could use support for the next 7 weeks!
Right now I am at 170 and so want to get into the 60s.
So I went to the Y to do my Boot Camp weigh in..was down 2 pounds from last week. Good news..Then I go to step on the treadmill and my glasses fall apart.
Oh well.
Plan for today..return and exercise with fixed glasses. Eat healthfully..Stay out of the heat.
My goal for Labor Day is to have made it thru the 160s..159.

Good morning :)
I hurt all over my body today thanks to the tilling yesterday. It really was a workout! We had this big area that used to be a lovely copse with ferns and hostas and other shade loving plants. Unfortunately we had a major ice storm late winter that so damaged the trees in it that they looked like big sticks! We had them taken down and I moved all the plants and we were left with with an area that quickly went to weed. So I tilled it all under. It took all of yesterday and part of the day before to get it trimmed down and then tilled under because it was filled with roots and hard baked from the heat wave. I still need to make a few passes with the tiller to really get things ground up before we kill it off and cover it to wait for cooler temps to seed. That tiller was jumping and running and I had to use all my strength and body to keep working it around and around until I was finished. I sweated through my clothes!
It is finally a tad cooler here so I plan to either run tonight or take a long bike ride. It will be nice to get outside for my exercise again.
I did okay over the weekend for eating. Could have been better. Could have been far worse! I am pushing out my weigh-in until Wednesday because I know that between the tilling yesterday and the heavy workout on Saturday I am retaining fluid and my number would make me want to kick the scale around the house.
I am nervous that the 11lbs I want gone before Labor Day are going to be stubborn pounds and I won't make it. 150 just sounds so unatainable to me at the moment. Just getting below 160 will amaze me because I literally cannot remember the last time I weighed that or less! So I need to start a mind boot camp to go with my diet and exercise plan. The power of positive thinking and all that jazz :)
In the meantime, it looks like everyone had a good weekend! Congrats! And welcome Maile!
I hope everyone has a great start to their week!

Since I didn't do too well in way of exercise and eating this weekend, I too will be waiting to weigh in until next week.

Good Morning Ladies :carrot: Today is a great day!!!
Yesterday was a pretty good day. I did 30 minutes on the treadmill which included a little running. Trying to get back to running because I got great losses in inches. I just don't like running. I may do a little bit at a time.
LemonZest - That is a good decision. No need getting yourself all worked up. When you do your next weigh in you may surprise yourself. Just include a lot of water this week.
Tdiprincess - Sounds like you did well hoping back on track. That's really good.
Today's Nugget: The battle is won or lost in your mind!!! Don't lose the battle of the bulge by thinking wrong thoughts. Don't think you failing because you have a stall or gain. It's a temporary thing that can be changed with a small adjustment. Don't think you have failed because you were off for the day or the week. You can get back on track even if you do it gradually. Know that this is a lifestyle and you will need to make adjustments as life is happening. As long as you are alive there is time to get it done!!!

Hey ladies!
I've been doing alright. Saturday and Sunday were OP, but I didn't exercise either morning. Also, I had ice cream both days (which was OP, but in combination with my new calorie goal the idea is still scary, ha). I'm worried because I'm currently at around 1600 calories and am terrified that Friday I'll see a gain. Also, last night I overate by a couple hundred calories. I know, not terrible, but I'm still trying to mentally easy into maintenance.
Today I'm doing an 18 hour shift at work (from 2pm this afternoon until 8am tomorrow morning.) So, I had a large 600 calorie brunch to fill me up for the day and plan on saving the remainder of my calories for the overnight tonight. I'm headed to the grocery store for healthy snacks to bring. Shifts like this always mess me up, because you wonder what you should be eating! I'm going to bring one of my exercise dvd's with me for tonight to help me stay awake!
Jiggle- Your nugget was perfect for me today! I've never been a huge runner either, but I'm beginning to love the runner's high. I still don't want to become a "runner" as I prefer low impact, but I can see how addicting it can get! And I did have a fantastic time, thanks!
TDI- High fives for back on track! Hm, I may end up avoiding the scale this week too, haha.
Lemon- You're doing great!
PHAT- SO glad you're doing well at your new job! And I'm so jealous that there is a POOL there!!
H82- Gardening is such great exercise. I looove it, especially because it's exercise with a purpose. Well, a purpose besides weight loss, I mean. You're doing great- you'll be at 150 before you know it!
Maile- Welcome and congrats!
BigChief- That's awesome! I always love the feeling I get when I bake something and hand it off to someone without scarfing it all down, ha. It's a triumph.

Hi Ladies,
I'm just gonna start from the top:
This past Friday the 22nd, our apartment building caught on fire. It was all over the news. The Bf and I evacuated when our hall was full of smoke and just as we got out it went up in flames. We got the cat out too. After the fire was put out, our apartment didn't have flame damage but smoke damage and had to throw out 70% of our stuff.
We are living between his parents and my sister's place right now. We have insurance but just have to go through the mess of trying to get it back. So I haven't ben CCing or doing well with eating because all my healthy food had to be thrown out and most of our stuff. We've been in hotels and eating out.
To add more insult to injury, it's my Birthday today, and when I weighed myself I realized I gained 18lbs since my last birthday in a year :(
I know it's just stuff and I'm so happy and lucky we are all safe but still it was our home. Our stuff to make it a "HOME". I'm depressed, sad, pissed, and even more upset at how I've let myself and body go over the course of the year.
So that's my bit. Sorry to not be so perky but this is what I got today.

I had an aquaintance email me today to say that her husband surprised her with something similar to my BodyMedia Fit after she told him about me using it. She said she thinks that he splurged on it because he saw how fantastic I look since I have been usingit to help motivate myself. It was so nice of her to take the time to email me about it...It made my day!

JDonato- Happy Birthday! Remember you are giving yourself the best present ever, the gift of health and looking and feeling GREAT! So last year you gained 18lbs. That is in the past. Your future is what you are working on now and YOU WILL DO THIS! And, I am so sorry for your losses :( I wish I could reach out and give you a big hug right now.
Envelope- I love subtle compliments like that! Don't they feel more "real" than when people just point blank gush over something?
Corinne- good luck with your long shift! you may surprise yourself by becoming a runner if you already like the high :)
PHAT- glad to hear your AC was fixed! and I am sooo jealous of your pool and gym access!
Lemon- You are doing great. I think avoiding the scale when you feel that it will upset you is a good idea. Just keep focused on what you are doing right and do more of it (my DD's words of wisdom which I am trying to heed today)
Jiggle- Keep running! It does great things for abs too as I am discovering. Today's nugget is timely! See below for why
In 2 weeks I haven't lost one.single.pound. In fact I am UP a pound. (made the mistake of weighing this morning, shoulda waited until tomorrow as planned)
Logically I know it is water weight. I have (mostly) stayed on plan and even when I went over I compensated by cutting the next day or working out harder. It still stinks! I want that scale to start dropping again argh! LOL
So I am feeling discouraged and worried about my ability to lose this weight and wondering if I should cut calories or up them or add something to my exercise routine or what. My mind is goind round and round!
I don't think intermittent fasting works for me. So I am going to shelve that for the time being and sub in a fruit and veggie and water day instead. I just felt yucky by the end of fast days and obviously it didn't help with loss so why torture myself?
Hope everyone has a great OP day today!

Jdon - You have had a wrotten few days. (((hugs))) I am guessing with the eating out and stress that some of the weight is water weight. You need to do something to celebrate your birthday...You could do something fun like buy a bike, or some new exercise equipment that you have been wanting.
H82sweat - Up the water! Keep ccing and next week the scale will be kinder for you.

jdonato: I'm very sorry to hear about the fire!! That must have been very scary! I'm glad you are both safe and sound. I'm sorry too that you realized you gained. I went through that moment this year as well. It is tough. But it also helped me to resolve that I will do better in the future and just keep moving forward!
Jiggle: I like the nugget. Very realistic since when we make it to maintenance, that really is what we need to do! This past weekend the thing that bothered me most wasn't necessarily the food, but it was that I didn't exercise really good in about 4 days! I LOVE my circuit training that I do that just absolutely crushes my body (not really that painful, promise!)! I love the feeling and the energy! UGH SO GOOD!! LOL. I feel so awesome! Missing it the 4 days helped me realize this!
Emme: Glad to know I'm not alone! :D
H82sweat: It's funny, whenever I think of fasting it makes me think of my husbands stories of when his father used to fast when he practiced Judaism. (This is nothing derogatory, I promise!) Anyway, he said his dad would SLEEP the whole day and if he was up he was cranky. We weren't really meant to fast on a very regular basis. Anyhow, I do like your idea of veggies, fruit and water days. Just make sure you're getting enough calories those days too. Everything in moderation.
About the scale, have you taken measurements? Last week even though I was bloated and up a pound I was down 7inches. Measurements are so awesome like that because it gives us another point of view than just the old scale! Maybe if it's another week and you don't see any changes you can start fiddling with calories. For now though, keep doing what you're doing and take some measurements to see the difference!
As for me, today is a pretty good day. I did go out to eat for breakfast, well at lunch time. But, I got 1 egg, piece of toast and sausage. Not too bad. Now I'm having a huge bowl of salad because I was feeling sluggish.
Later I will try to exercise, but we have something to do at 7 so it might wait until 9pm. Later chickies!! Keep it movin'! :carrot:

Maile - Welcome! I'm kinda new here too.
H82Sweat - I just got off a two-week stretch with no loss whatsoever - sucks! I waited it out, though, stayed on plan, and as of today I've FINALLY busted through it and am down a pound. It's hard and just freaking irritating to stay on plan with nothing to really show for it, but stick with it! I bet you'll break through it.
P H A T - Ohhh I would KILL for a pool I could use! :p Lucky you!
jigglefree - Good nugget. I am so prone to taking one set-back and using it as a reason to give up entirely...
CorinneIrene - 18 hours?! Wow, that's crazy. Are you able to move around on the job, at least, to kill time and get some exercise?
jdonato - I'd say you've got a right to be not-so-perky after that... What an awful birthday weekend. I hope things get better for you soon.
envelope - Wow, that's pretty flattering. Great motivation!
As for me, yesterday was good. Came in a hundred calories under-budget on accident, and did well on my workouts. I've added P90 in addition to C25K, and I'm really liking it so far, except for the power yoga, which kicked my butt. Didn't help that my cat thought that planks were a good time for him to come rubbing back and forth under me and get cat hair stuck to all my sweaty bits. I'm down a pound this morning (the lowest I've been since I got pregnant!), so I'm pretty happy!

hi ladies! I was MIA while on a trip in Alabama since Friday night. My mom's Internet was funky and I couldn't get on. Forgot how dependent I am on technology! LOL
It was great trip...exhausting...but good. I was so anxious about traveling alone with my kids, and doing all the "vacay" stuff while staying at 1200 cals. Crazy, right?? It ended up being better than I thought. I stayed at 1300-1400 the whole time and got a couple workouts in, so it all evened out. I just got home and I am down 2 pounds since I left!
I'll be back to catch up later.

*hugs & prayers*
You will get back on the CCin' wagon when the time is right. Heal & rest; you've been through an emotional, physical & mental devastating event.

Chickiechicks: Awesome work keeping nice and close to OP while out of town! That is something I'm trying to work on!
I ended out the day about 1490 cals. I also didn't get to exercise and tomorrow I may not either. ICK! I would like to make the time tomorrow evening, but it will be a super long day for us.
Anyhow, I'll check in tomorrow night or so! Keep it movin'! :carrot:

YAY!!! Count me in! I have a wedding that weekand! I love to be a size 10 by then and no more pop until after that! WE can do it. I am about a size 12 now... but I think ten is a realistic possibility! I haven't workrd out for a week and am going to work out four times a week till the wedding, starting tomorrow. Good luck ALL :)

Good Morning.
I'm feeling real good today. I had a great day on plan and looking forward to the weekend to see how my choices have served me. I was up late last night so now I'm at work and sleepy. Since it's going to be a busy day I have no time to let being sleepy now affect the rest of my day. I have all my stuff to stay on plan and I will not be unsettled by the cupcake parade.
Shmoops - Welcome to the challenge and yes you can get to a 10.
Tdiprincess - Have a great day today and I'm sure you will be fine without the exercise. Make sure you are prepared for success today.
Chickie - Congrats on the loss while on vacay!! That is awesome. Something to be very proud of and celebrate. :carrot::carrot:
BigCheif - That's so cool to know you have the pregnancy weight off. Now that's an accomplishment!!!
H82Sweat - That is interesting...IF - I was wondering how that works. I have to be mentally prepared before fasting or I forget I'm fasting by 10am. I never thought about using it as a tool with my weight loss.
JD - It seems tough right now but keep getting up and keep breathing and you will wake up one day and realize you are past that difficulty and it made you stronger.
Emme - Yes running makes me hungry which is one of the other reasons I don't run. Today is my walk/jog day and I'm thinking I will make it a light one so I don't get hungry.
Corinne - Glad to be of service.
Today's Nugget: It's a new day with new promise. So grab a hold of the promise and take advantage of the day. When it's gone it can be remembered but not repeated. These 24 hours are yours to live well and enjoy life. Just because you are working, taking care of a family or it's just you keeping your household running enjoy your life TODAY!!!

ChickieChicks - I am SO hooked on technology... My parents are still on dial-up, and it seriously gives me actual physical pain to try to use their internet. Kind of depressing, really. :D Anyway, nice work losing while on a trip - that's pretty impressive!
Schmoops - Yeah, I think losing a size is definitely a realistic goal for the time we have left. Good luck!
I did great yesterday! Actually, it wasn't really any better than normal, just on plan, but it felt really good. Made some kick-*** chicken and indian-style rice for supper....yum! Off to lift some weights now.

I'm giving the picture thing a shot here. These are my daughter's jeans and I feel pretty good about fitting into them (American Eagle favorite boyfriend jeans size 8) although, as you can all see, I still have a loooong ways to go. The tummy bulge really bothers me the most. Also please excuse my messy basement LOL We're slowly restoring an older home and all the spillover ends up in our dungeon!
You look awesome h82sweat! I need to do the picture thing too. Maybe I'll have the hubby take a picture of me tonight or tomorrow so I have something to compare with later on.
I'll be exercising shortly. Gonna do circuit training first 2x and then 30ds. Should take me about 1.5hrs. I will take a short break between circuit and 30ds too. -It didn't end up being as long of a day as we had planned.
Eating has been decent as well today. I still have quite a bit to eat. Trying to figure out what we want for dinner LOL. I'm not a planner. I just weigh my food and make it all fit! Whatever we have for dinner I will add a nice big salad to it!
Later chickies! Keep it movin'! :carrot:

Ok my goal is not a weight goal, but a maintenance goal. I just want to keep working out six times a week and keeping my calorie counting in check. For me this next month or so won't be about losing the pounds as much as staying motivated and on track because I'm only about a week in and losing major steam. Love to you all, good luck on your goals!!

I ended up just doing circuit training. I made it through it twice pretty good. Tomorrow will be cycling and 30DS.
I'm at 1386 calories, but I'm lacking in calcium and fat. For some reason these last couple days I have been lacking in fat. I'm good everywhere else just not fat. I think I might eat around 1500 calories and just add some nuts to get the fat in there and maybe have a glass of milk to finish off calcium or bring me close.

Hey Lovelies. I had a really long day, work was trying today because Im going through product training & its kinda dragging.. But nevertheless I was totally on plan today as far as counting goes.. however my sugar intake is nuts.. Its because of all this fruit Ive been eating.. I dunno if I should count the sugar that comes from fruit or not, but if I eat a few ounces of watermelon, that's easily 15-20 mgs of sugar.. & I also noticed red grapes are full of sugar.. Im trying to take healthy alternatives to eating candies & pastries.. I dunno it seems like when I get one portion under control, something else is out of wack  .. oy this is taking a lot of tweaking.. Im not getting discouraged or anything, I just get a little put off by so many different things that Need to be watched & counted.. Sometime I just get tired of stressing.. Im gonna keep going.. I do feel better, been exercising & moving around a lot so I guess thats good.. been getting 100oz of water monday - friday.. so there's a lot more that I guess I can be thankful for.. I just want the scale to reflect how I feel because I do feel better.. but sometime the scale keeps going up & down each time I step on it, its not consistent .. blah.. my mind is everywhere right now as you all can see.. just had to type to get it all out.. Sigh!! im off to bed now, ladies.. have a great night! the weeks' almost over!

Yes I can totally relate! :)
My update for the week is that I am down 3 lbs so working on my last 5 lbs for the challenge! I'm still walking outside in this weather and it multipled over the weekend; I took 4 walks in 12 hours to take care of the 4 dogs that can walk & was in and out of the house with 5 dogs in the backyard and a new rescue puppy that needs to exercise so I was up and down the hilly front yard with him. No sitting on butt for the dogsitter.

purdumse ~ Welcome! Good luck keeping your calories in check and staying motivated...sometimes that is the hardest part.

P H A T ~ It's easy to get tired from stressing over calories and counts and what has what in it. Just stay strong and keep on going!
ChickieChicks ~ You look great, too! I love seeing pics of people.
I am hoping to hit my goal weight sometime this week or next week and last night I worked on a lot of before and after pictures. I figured I'd work on them now because 2 pounds isn't going to make a difference in how I look. I have quite a few "before" pictures and it's amazing how in denial I was. Like, bad denial. Like, "what a bad angle...remember not to stand that way when getting your picture taken because it totally makes you look fat." WTF?!?! LOL! :)

Good Morning Ladies,
I would like to say the pictures are very uplifting. When I get to my bday goal I will post pictures of my before and now. I also keep a history of my losses by taking naked pictures so I can really see the transformation as it is happening. I took some last night and compared them to the ones I took over the past year and it is phenomenal. Watching the rolls decrease and though the stomach looks like it's not going anywhere it is and it's best seen in the progress pictures not the mirror. I was sitting at the computer for almost an hour marveling. So I'm feeling great today. The one thing that was notable was the dimples that were in my legs and butt. They are almost all gone!!!:carrot: That was really exciting.
Chickie - You look great. How long did it take you to loose 24lbs?
P H A T - I'm thinking with the amount of water you are drinking the sugar in the fruit shouldn't do that much damage unless you are diabetic. It's healthy sugars.
Tdiprincess - You are really rocking those workouts. Your body is going to LOVE you!!! You are going to be looking great on top of all the healthy benefits.
H82Sweat - That is a fabulous pic of you. I bet you LOVE those jeans...especially since they belonged to your daughter and now you can wear them.:D
Emme - How is your day going? Looks like you posted while I was getting mine together.
BigCheif - I'm sure the P90 is a tough workout as well. You will probably be at the "X" in no time. Cool thing is your body with surely show it!!
Today's Nugget: Find a way to reward your hard work that doesn't include food. Set a small milestone and do something easy...put a dollar or fifty cent away for every pound you loose. No telling what you will be able to purchase when you get to goal!!

Chickie- I am jealous of you! You look great :)
PHAT- eat the fruit and enjoy it! I am refusing to worry about healthy food intake. Each time we choose fruit or veggies over candy or chips that is a victory in itself.
Tdi- I was having a "meh" day but you have inspired me to put on the running shoes anyway! You are going to be fit girl!
Shmoops- I think you have a completely doable goal and good luck on it. You might suprise yourself and blow right past that size 10 into an 8!
Purdumse- You can do it! Just keep on keeping on and the next thing you know, you will hit your goal :)
Scottie- bye bye 3 lbs!! wahoo! I foster for rescue (labs) and really enjoy it. Glad to see someone else here doing it too :)
BigChief- P90! I am impressed! I can't even do one pullup at this point LOL
Emme- take those pics! and have a great time in Chi-town this weekend too! you are so close it is almost like your bod is playing a game with your head on this!
Jiggle- you've lost the dimples?! you've given me hope! I didn't think those would ever go away no matter how much I lose! You should be doing a happy dance for that NSV!
It is nice to know I am not the only photo phobe here LOL Even when I was having my DH take that pic of me I was thinking "how can I stand skinny?" but realized I am not skinny! Not yet! So I decided to just take the ding dang pic and be proud of what I have done so far but recognize that I have another 30lbs to go ;)
I have been working out hard this week because the scale ticked me off, but I am soooo sore today I thought of taking the day off as a rest day (I haven't had a rest day since June 6th) but now I am going to add a short run to my day after all, just skip the weights/resistance bands/iso to give my body a little reprieve.
Hope everyone has a great OP day!

Emme: I ended up just having some milk. I didn't get the healthy fats I needed yesterday. Today and the coming days I will keep track of them better. It's funny because I had some peanut butter, but I didn't have enough! Today I'm going to make me some cashew butter and some hummus. I think those will help me get a healthy fat intake. Most days I do well with fats, sometimes on the too high end. But for the last 2 or 3 days I've lacked the fat.
Jiggle: Thank you! I am starting to notice some differences in my body and even the way I hold myself!
H82sweat: I'm glad I could motivate!! I SO wish I could run. I LOVE running. But, I sprained my both of my knees when I was younger and one was a bad one (I twisted a few ligaments and tendons snowboarding). Anyway, the only hardcore stuff I can try for cardio is cycling. I'm endeavoring to get my speed up to 15mph. Right now I stay between 10-13. Anyhow, Keep running if you can, but protect your joints! The great thing too I have started to find is that if I am having a "meh" day and I exercise, I feel much better afterward! Even if my body is sore, I feel so satisfied and ready to go!
Scottiemama: Congrats on the loss!! That is really awesome and also on increasing your workouts! Keep it up! I have to ask since you were talking about pups, are you a scottie fan??
It's going to be rainy all day. I think I may not take my bike out. If I see a break in the rain I will go riding though. My body is aching to go for a ride! I may just brave it and go anyway LOL. Either way I will do the 30DS and if I can go for a ride then I will do some tae bo or other cardio. My body is a bit sore from the circuit training yesterday, so I think I'll rest that until tomorrow.
Otherwise, my other focus today is getting enough fat and cleaning the house!
Oh yeah, the nugget: I like the idea! For me, I think when I get to 155 then I will get myself a set of hand weights. Even if it's garage sale or goodwill style. But, its something I really want! Probably an outfit or 2 from the goodwill as well. I haven't decided what I will do once I get to goal. I think I might treat myself to a pedicure and a bit of shopping (I need some more professional looking clothes).
Later chickies! Keep it movin'! :carrot:

Yes! I am owned by one Scottie girl named Lady Morgan and currently have foster dog #21 (started 2 years ago this month), a male by the name of Black Jack. :)
I enjoyed reading about your progress! Totally treat yourself to "down sizing" clothing. I went into Goodwill over the weekend looking for smaller shorts and found a fabulous, tasteful jean skirt instead--2 sizes smaller than I've been wearing. I. Will. Fit. In. It. Soon. :D

I'm trying to chug back the water since I'm really bloated right now. I'm looking forward to Monday because I've been sticking to 1200-1400 calories per day (except yesterday, ate about 2600), and I've been really active lately.

Good Morning Ladies!!!
It's a great day for all of us. We are doing what's best for ourselves and making a difference. I had a good day yesterday and last night. I'm hoping today is my last TOM day. I want it to be over so I can get to the losing part. I have high hopes for tomorrow!! I'm hoping to be down to my birthday goal but if not I still have a week.
In a hurry today because work is busy.
CONGRATULATIONS EMME YOU MADE IT!!!!
Today's Nugget: Take a moment today to admire the progress you've made so far. If you have lost a pound or a few ounces it all adds to the bottom line. If you are only loosing an ounce or two a day, eventually those ounces add up to a pound. One pound will add to the bottom line of the pounds you are loosing. So don't get discouraged if your loss isn't what you want it to be. YOU WILL GET TO YOUR GOAL IF YOU DON'T QUIT!!

Jigglefree- I so needed that nugget  Feeling discouraged today because the scale still hasn't budged despite my tweaking calories down and bumping up my workout intensity. I'm going to try to remember that at least the scale isn't going UP. That my stamina and muscle tone are improving. And that eventually the scale has to move if I keep at it.
I cancelled my plans for the evening (was going to have a reward/date night if I lost even a pound this week) and will spend the day tilling (3rd and final pass I hope, DH had to go get a new belt for the tiller so I am on rest break) swimming if the weather holds (supposed to storm in the afternoon-early evening) and maybe get in a run tonight.
Hope everyone has a great OP day!

Emme: That is really awesome! I will be checking out your thread shortly! Awesome, awesome work!! :carrot: :carrot:
jigglefree: I like your nugget today! You're right, a loss is a loss. Whether we are where we think we should be or not, if our weight is going down, then we're a success! Also, I think too even if we don't lose tons of weight but are eating healthy and exercising, then we're successful!
h82sweat: I'm sorry you cancelled your plans :( Maybe save it for next week! Keep eating healthy and exercising and the pounds will come off! Also, if you haven't already done so, start taking measurements! If you have taken them, then redo them to see your progress! On weeks that I haven't lost I will check the measurements and generally I've lost at least a few!! I generally take them every 2 weeks to keep me updated and motivated!
I had an NSV today!! I bought a pair of shorts from the goodwill that were just too snug to give me some motivation. I bought them about 3 weeks ago. They fit now! I think I will have hubby take a progress pic in them, so over time I'll see how they fit in a few weeks or so. Also, I did peak at the scale and I'm down a couple pounds. But, I will keep going and do a real weigh in next wednesday!
Anyway, I'm not going to do too much in way of exercise today. My ankles are a bit sore so I'm giving them a rest. I may do some arm exercises and punches to get a little bit of exercise in though. Today is my high day. I get around 1800-2000 calories. I've already had a few tasty treats today.
Then tomorrow it is back to normal! Later chickies!! Keep it movin'!! :carrot:

That is really awesome work!! That is a loss of 17inches!! I love redoing my inches! I so want to go do them right now, but I'm going to teach myself some patience and wait! Keep up the great work!!
I just did some arm "circuit training". I did 5-1min intervals of arm cardio (punches and stuff like that) then 5-45sec arm strength intervals (bicep curls, and lifts etc.). I did it twice. A quick 20min workout (including warm up and stretches afterward). I feel better since I wanted to exercise but don't want to agitate my knee or ankle anymore than they already are. I'm icing them right now to help them a bit. I will definitely not do hardcore stuff with my legs for a few days.

Sounds like everyone is doing terrific!!
Some of the TOM bloat is gone, 1lb to go. Had 1468 calories, went over limit eating too much fruit. That's ok, fruit never seems to effect the scale, no matter how much I eat. I got used to eating more calories on vacation, they were healthy calories, but from walking so much i was burning more. Now I'm home & only walking 30-40 min a day, i've got to cut calories back now or I'll gain. It's hard to break the habit of eating more, i did it for 4 days straight.
Have a great weekend!

Well I dragged the scale out of hiding this morning, a day early, because I just couldn't take it anymore LOL
I "wooshed" again, if 3lbs can be considered a "woosh." It is less than the 1.5-2lbs per week I am supposed to be obtaining according to the math (another reason to hate math) but I'll take it over what I have been experiencing!
I'm going to go update my ticker but first.... why does my body do that? Nothing for almost 3 weeks and then whammo!
Edited to add that I am excited about this :) It's the first time I've been below 160 in 15+ years!
