Olympic Race Walking
Anyone else a race walker?
I've begun (and nearly completed) the C25K program several times over the past few years, but I broke my fifth metatarsal (in my left foot) during one of those ventures and now have difficulty running even three days in a row. My foot aches when put under too much strain, on strange weather days, etc.
I've recently begun Olympic race walking and have heard very good things about its benefits (numerous: muscle builder, calorie burner) and relative lack of impact on joints.
Has anyone else used Olympic race walking to ease themselves into a regular cardio exercise routine?
